It’s a cute little stay and the property was nice and safe. Staff was very helpful and kind. Room was clean and well maintained
- 3/5
Bathtub was not thoroughly cleaned. Breakfast while included it starts at 8am which was too late for me to use. Parking lot was partially usable do to damage
- 2/5
Given a room that was sub par. The pipe under bathroom rink leaked badly and we came back to a flood after returning from dinner. Staff helped to clean it up but it was late and we just wanted to get to sleep after a long day of travel. Other issues with room with peeling paint and unclean tub with failing fixtures and no hairdryer. They did save a nicer room for us and helped us carry bags next day. There was no warning about there being no elevator available to second floor. Staff gave us a very modest discount on first night but we felt it should have been more given the circumstances. The outside of property was lovely but the first night experience and unwillingness to be more generous with the discount soured our experience. Reception area was kept locked until 8 am which also seemed unusual.

Good location, courtyard I wouldn't call this a 'boutique motel'..old furniture, looks like a upgrade of what it used to be. No real 'ammenities'. Needs a pool or hottub or workout center. Most of what's there is a leftover of the 80s.

Location The room wasnt ready at check in time! I had to keep going to the office to the key reprogramed, the concrete on the main steps was all broken up,the tv didnt work they had to bring 3 different tvs before one finally worked and they wouldn’t accommodate my simple request!! Will never stay there again!
- 1/5
Nothing like the pictures. No flowers hanging, run down, old, front desk and breakfast didn’t open until 8, and still didn’t open on time. We walked across the St to McDonalds. Do not recommend this motel. It is not a boutique! Our bed box spring was really noisy squeaky
- 3/5
The property looks like a Motel 6 with some paint. Beds were fine enough. AC was cold, so we got what we paid for
- 4/5
This is a great place if you are on a budget and not too picky. The hotel is old and not updated. The sheets and the shower were clean and we had no issues.
- 3/5
Room was a good size and clean. But it was outdated and the bathroom had a few issues; the tub/shower didn't drain very well, the bathroom ceiling was peeling and falling apart, and the toilet didn't always flush.
- 4/5
Very good

Door very hard to open, shower faucet broken, pipes under sink leaked onto floor.unpleasant odor in room, office unattended, bathroom ridiculously small

This was a let down for sure we had to wait two hours for more toilet paper and over 8 hours for more towels. The check out was leave a ley and hope for the best. Lacking service there is nothing boutique about it more like a Walmart glow up situation.
- 2/5
The room was clean but dated. Updates were done but painting was not the best. Lights were not easy to find. The staff was EXCELLENT, very accommodating. We actually called just after the front desk closed at 10:10pm to advise of our really late arrival due to illness, weather and traffic. The attendant was very nice and said for us to call upon our arrival and he would open up to get keys. Breakfast was sparse
- 5/5
Lovely courtyard, comfy beds, nice and quiet, close to downtown.
- 1/5
The room and hotel felt very old and poorly maintained, with visible signs that no real upkeep or renovations have been done in a long time. Everything looked worn down and neglected. The worst part was seeing a cockroach shortly after arriving, along with someone’s nail clippings on the sofa. At that point, we no longer felt comfortable staying there and decided to check out immediately. The room also did not feel safe. While the door had the regular lock on the doorknob, it was missing the additional interior security lock that most hotels normally provide for extra safety and peace of mind. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean, safe, well-maintained, or accurately represented place to stay.

Our 2-night stay at the Beaucatcher Motel worked for us. Bed was comfortable, water hot with good pressure, quiet, clean. Balcony faced pleasant central courtyard with well-tended plantings. Pets allowed and our room had faint disinfectant smell. Not far from downtown Asheville, this is an older motel that could use a bit of upgrading but good value for the area. Kind, onsite proprietor.
- 3/5
The stay wasn’t terrible but the photos online must be dated. It is not a true depiction of the current situation.
- 4/5
Main room and beds appeared very clean. Bathroom lacked some in cleanliness and ventilation. If you enjoy continuous hot water and strong water pressure then you'll love showering there. Beds slept well. Breakfast was definitely lacking it consisted of bagels, bread, cereal, oatmeal packets, and yogurt. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall I would stay there again.

I love The Beaucatcher! It's the best hotel I've ever stayed at and my second time. The staff is very friendly and kind. My favorite things about this hotel is the uniqueness and privacy. It's very clean with spacious rooms and the location is fantastic. I'm already planning again to stay next year when I visit beautiful Asheville! Thank you!

Please pick anywhere else. There are plenty of nice hotels right around this roach hotel. Shower was completely backed up, Paint peeling from the bathroom ceiling, planters with dead plants just melted in the sun, downright nasty and neglected grounds.

The place sucks
- 4/5
Not a bad value for convenient location and free breakfast. Rooms were clean but not the cleanest I've ever seen. Front desk staff needs to be more present. When we arrived at check-in, no one was there. Lobby was also closed when we arrived for breakfast. When we called, they eventually showed up. Check-in process was fast and easy.

Decent room for the location. Motel has a lot of potential but seems like they’re still doing work on things.
- 5/5
Room was very clean.
- 0.5/5
The location was the only good thing about this place. Room wasn’t cleaned, zero housekeeping during my stay, balcony door didn’t lock, staff didn’t tell me about breakfast, dirty sheets. I only stayed here as I was across the street from a store and got my own Clorox and clean sheets. Everything but the location.

Breakfst menu was short on selections and lacked fresh fruit. The posted breakfast hours were short and not as posted. Our adjoining room had no hot water.

Great location! Staff was very friendly and helpful! Would absolutely stay again

This motel is very affordable and conveniently located near the city center, making it a practical choice for a short stay. However, I must mention that the breakfast service is not available before 8 am, which could be a bit inconvenient for some guests.

For the price this isn’t a terrible option. You can tell they have spent tons of money to upgrade many of the items inside the rooms and on the exterior as well. A few things that kept me from giving it a 5 star rating are the condition of the stairs (cracks… huge chunks of concrete missing to the point that you can see the support rebar), our bathroom ceiling was literally dropping pieces of the popcorn cover onto the toilet throughout the weekend, the only time I interacted with staff was checking in when a man walks in the lobby behind us carrying a baby in a car seat carrier to check us in (apparently he had taken his kid for a drive to put it to sleep), and the wall beside the bed was nasty (what looked like blood or other things smeared on it… seriously take a magic eraser to clean the wall between guests when it’s that dirty). Overall it was fine but had higher hopes based on the pictures and reviews. I’ll be sticking to my normal Hampton Inns in the future.
- 3.5/5
Good
- 3/5
Make sure you wear shoes in your room. I walked just from the bathroom to the door barefooted and my feet were very dirty. Also the room we stayed in the shower didn't drain properly so you were standing in ankle deep water the entire time.
- 5/5
This was all in all a great place to stay if visiting Ashville!!!
- 4/5
Room clean. Easy parking. Breakfast was modest (oatmeal, cereal, juice, and some pastries/muffins).
- 3/5
I would not call this a "boutique" motel. It was a basic motel in need of some maintenance and repair. The staff were helpful. The breakfast was subpar.
- 3.5/5
Great price and location
- 4/5
Room had not been swept. Visible debris on the bathroom floor and near archway.
- 4/5
Good enough. Fit the bill for the price.
- 4/5
Yes air conditioning was good

They had just the right amount of breakfast food available n it was fresh. In fact as I was getting my breakfast they were sticking the refrigerator n shelf items. Very friendly staff very accommodating. If I go back to North Carolina again I’ll be sure to stay here. ❤️

Had what Looked to be black mold. The rooms were were not throughly cleaned. I booked for 2 nights however barely made it through one. We left the next day and booked another room in a different hotel. I know they’re going through some Renovations however the ones they’ve done so far are subpar at best. The outdoor court years and plants were Not mattered and dead to be the beginning of spring. I expected better due to the last time we stayed it was so much better. It still can be but it’s going to take attention to details and truly inserts that their location is great and they can fix up the place and charge Premium rates to get a great return on investment. If only I could get a refund for the night we did not stay. Thank You for personal hospitality it’s just the condition of place is the issue. I

As I stated in my check-in review, the property manager, possibly the owner, was rude. Upon check-out he took the opportunity to tell me that he’s sorry that I found him to be rude and then proceeded to, very audibly, mumble under his breath. I first said that’s okay, then after hearing his mumbling I said, “that’s the rudeness I’m referring to”. He then decided to aggressively follow me out the door arguing.
- 3/5
Vintage, mid-century motel property that was renovated a few years ago. Interiors are well maintained. Exterior could use a little spruce up following a long winter season.
- 5/5
Great location, comfortable stay, and fairly priced. Overall a good experience, but a few details could use improvement—like the bathroom ceiling, where the paint was peeling.
- 4/5
It worked good
- 3/5
The problem was the upkeep of the place. The paint is peeling, the cement steps are crumbling, the walls are bare, the bed creaked loudly anytime I moved. The motel is not a boutique anything!
- 5/5
Thank you for a wonderful weekend!! We had 3 rooms. The staff was amazing. Anytime we are back in Asheville again, we will stay here!
- 5/5
Great place to stay. My husband said he and his buddy ran into a couple of hiccup’s with the TV and mini fridge, but the staff jumped right in and made it right!! Great clean, affordable property less than 2 miles from our destination!! Very pleased
- 1/5
We actually didn't end up staying here....The few pictures shown online do not correctly give you the whole picture. We arrived to a completely empty parking lot, not a soul was staying here. the place looked abandoned. Once you drive around the building the paint is peeling, the pavement is warped and cracked, it looks completely umkempt, like a very low budget motel. My husband finally found someone working there (he was out by the dumpster fixing his car) and told him we were not comfortable staying in an abandoned motel. The guy was rude, told him to get out and leave, and to get our money back from Expedia. We have attempted to get our money back but we cannot get them to respond, and Expedia is not really doing anything about it. Entire experience has been really poor.
- 5/5
awesome motel! we had plans in west asheville and downtown and were less than 10 minutes from either spot. we loved sitting on our balcony and looking at beaucatcher mountain. the staff was super friendly and the room was clean and spacious. we will definitely stay here next time were in town.
- 3/5
Comfortable bed and good shower. The property was very convenient to everything. Some areas for improvement are with little things…key didn’t work in 2nd day, hair dryer didn’t work. Light bulbs missing in some fixtures as well.
- 4/5
They are renovating this hotel and the owner is fantastic. It could use a little more upgrades, like the water takes a long time to get hot but it’s a good place to stay. Easy to get to any restaurants and downtown.
- 1/5
Place was dirty, batteries were dead in the keypad on the room door so the guy at the desk gave me a regular key and said he would change the batteries in the morning. The key got stuck in the door. He still wanted to wait to change the batteries. There was so much hair in the bathtub drain the water took forever to drain out. Will not be back.
- 2/5
For such a high reviews and “boutique” motel it was pretty sketch. No chains, no towels in the room until after we requested them “under construction” which seemed to mean “we know it is trashed.” It was a cheap motel, it was clean.
- 4/5
Staff were nice.
- 4/5
Clean, comfortable, convenient. Affordable, no frills hotel that served it's purpose. I would stay here again.
- 3/5
The bathroom was not super clean and it looked like they had sanded and patched spots around the room but there was still a lot of plaster dust all over. They didn't bother to clean kids stickers off the night stand that made it seem shabby. But the bed seemed clean, and the motel was reasonably priced and super close to downtown. Decent choices of snacks for breakfast.
- 3/5
The room could be improved. The ceiling in the bathroom had water damage and possible mold. It was crumbling and flaking off. It looked gross. The front desk called me on our arrival day wondering when I was coming to check in. We arrived at 4 pm and check in was at 3. We will not stay here again.
- 1/5
Hot water did not work, tub didn’t drain, walls are super thin, free breakfast was not open at 8 am when we down and when we called manger he disconnected call.

Breakfast was bad
- 3/5
Room was okay. It was clean but tub did not function properly and the room door was a bit hard to open.
- 1/5
This was NOT a boutique hotel. No towels no toilet paper, and no locking doors. As a woman traveling alone I felt very unsafe. The balcony door did not lock at all and was very drafty (not a plus when it’s snowing), and there was no additional internal lock, only the electronic one wide by a key card. After checking in within 10 mins the front desk claimed to be knocking on my door. There is no peep hole to check who is there! Horrible property, poor management, 0/10 DO NOT BOOK!!!
- 1/5
When I woke up the heat and power were gone. The shower was lukewarm. Then I went to get breakfast and the door to the lobby was locked. I called the number and got voicemail. Very disappointing.
- 2/5
The online pictures look nice, but the place itself is pretty 2-star. After checking into our room, my husband discovered a fresh stain on the bed sheets. There were no hangars in the closet, and the fridge was barely cold. We asked for a refund and went to stay somewhere else.
- 1/5
You can throw a rock and hit two other hotels. Stay there! This place was loud!! Had a metal bed base that made noise when you moved in the bed and subpar cleaning.
- 5/5
Staff extremely nice and helpful. Cozy boutique hotel. Our second stay .
- 1/5
The management is not on site. Lobby is always closed. Have to call a number to get someone. Breakfast does not start on time and starts too late. Breakfast tables had not been cleaned from previous day. Bugs and cobwebs in the bathroom window. Bathroom ventilation dirty. Mini lotion at sink already used. Cushions missing from seats in courtyard. Pillows not for a king size bed. I would not recommend this place...but if you need new management let us know!
- 5/5
I went with my kids and parents and they all had fun. It wasn't very crowded, we expected it to be due to the holidays but it was still pleasant stay. It is close to the downtown, like 5-10 minutes away from the main town area so that was a good advantage.
- 4/5
Overall clean, nice pirch and com.on area. Convenient location
- 1/5
Pros: The courtyard was cute, I didn't get bedbugs, and the guy in the morning when we checked out was friendly. Cons: mini-pillows on the bed, the mattress was well-worn, the paint was in multiple shades and peeling in places, we counted 5 stick bugs, damage to the furniture, and the room generally looked in rough shape. Not sure if the room I got hadn't been renovated yet or had been beaten up after renovations.
- 5/5
Room was clean. Staff was very polite and helpful. Very quiet for the area it is in.
- 2/5
Lack of staff . There was 1 person working trying to run the front desk and clean rooms. It took 20 minutes to find someone to get our room. When we entered the room, it was already occupied. It then took another 15 minutes to get the employee back to get a new one. Was very frustrated with the process. Would not recommend.
- 1/5
The hotel is under renovation, something not mentioned in advance. At 8 a.m. there was still no breakfast available. We had to leave the key in the door because no one was there to check us out. There was even a toilet and a fridge sitting in the hallway. Overall, the place felt very sketchy.
- 3/5
I would recommend upgrading to standard size pillows on the beds, too. We were next door to what appeared to be some long term tenants…they were very loud, yelling and fighting at late/early hours (2-3:30am Saturday morning, for example).
- 5/5
Room was clean and nice gazebo
- 3/5
It’s in the progress of cleaning up.
- 5/5
Beaucatcher is the best option for my work on Tunnel Road. It is under renovation and is improving and getting better on every visit. Comfortable bed, large well equipped room, great tv options, and clean.
- 3/5
It was fine for the night. Didn't think it fit the "boutique" descriptor. Next to a sex shop. Fast food neighborhood, not downtown, not walkable. No elevator which was bad for me because of foot injuries. The desk attendant was nice enough to bring up and down the stairs my luggage
- 5/5
Staff was attentive. They’re definitely investing in the property. Good stay.
- 4/5
Surrounding was noisy but it was a Friday night, and the interior of the rooms were quiet.
- 2/5
Staff are mostly absent from the property. No one at front desk at check in or check out.
- 4/5
Parking was abundant. Staff was friendly and made sure we had what we needed. We were a bit surprised that we didn’t get any room service and we stayed there 3 nights. When we asked for anything however, we were accommodated immediately. I would recommend! Location is perfect!! Had a great time!
- 5/5
The property was very convenient and the staff is extremely friendly.I would definitely return here again
- 2/5
As above
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful in accommodating for mobility issues at check-in.
- 4/5

- 1/5
The property was listed as newly renovated. The whole place looks like it is in disrepair and being renovated by 10 year olds. The whole area is dirty. The room was never checked the next morning for any needs of toilet paper or towels. The breakfast was very very limited. The balcony view was of your shady neighbors that looked homeless.
- 1/5
Nasty, filthy room. Smelled terrible. TV didn’t work. Toilet didn’t flush. No phone in room. Heard yelling and arguing at the Adult super store next door. Felt unsafe and couldn’t lock the door with the deadbolt that didn’t work. Tried to address the issues with the owner and got yelled at.
- 3/5
Clerk wasnt the friendliest, no coffee pot in the room. But overall wasnt a bad experience
- 5/5
Excellent staff and management.

Room and property was not as pictured. Bed sheets/pillowcases had various stains, bed was uncomfortable, found multiple bugs in room, sink was cracked

Not cleaned well

I read another review just before check out “Lipstick on a Pig”. That describes our stay exactly. To start with when renee arrived, we could not contact the “after hour”/main hotel number because it was disconnected. And the guy running it seemed surprised, but did nothing about it as it was still disconnected 2 days later. The room was “clean” meaning no trash. The ceiling had 26 patched holes, we counted. Then the shower had one temp, almost scalding. When using the body wash provided, one pump and it continued pouring out almost 1/3 of its contents on the tub floor. The WiFi was not available in my room 223. We had to walk outside in the middle of the courtyard for signal. The bed frame made a very weird noise on one side of the bed, the cheap metal frame sounded like someone kicked it everytime my wife rolled over or got out of bed. I completely understand this place was “under renovation” but the hotel ad and my actual room were 2 ends of the spectrum..
- 3/5
Key card system wasn’t working and I had to go to the office 4 separate times to fix the issue. External stairway to rooms on second floor was completely dark, which is especially dangerous at night! At the top of the stairs there was a trash can with overflowing trash all around it for 4 days. Water damage/hole on the ceiling in the bathroom - which is probably where several bugs came through. Curtains had a visible layer of dust, especially up near the curtain rod. Floor lamp did not work. “Deadbolt” was just a flimsy knob - which did not give me peace of mind at all. Especially because the door faced a dark parking lot next to a seedy sex shop.
- 5/5
We were just in for a night and this place was next-door to where we were having dinner. It’s in very nice condition. It’s clean and the people running the place were fantastic and nice. I would stay here again without question, especially for the price.
- 3/5
The office hours and breakfast hours were not convenient. The property was being renovated. I called the front desk, the housekeeping and “0” but no one answered.
- 4/5
Happy to support locally owned business.
- 5/5
I booked a stay at the Beaucatcher in August 2025 and had a great time. The hotel was cute, very reasonably priced, and close to download Asheville (although not quite close enough to walk there). Moreover, the manager was extremely gracious to give me a partial refund for an accidental overbooking (I booked a room for myself and a friend, and my friend also booked a room due to a miscommunication). He didn't have to do that, but he did because he was a good person. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Asheville!
- 3/5
This place looks so cute on line but in person was kind of dumpy and had a low budget feel. Doors did not feel like they were secure. Bathrooms were tiny and tubs were not clean. Rooms smelled like smoke. We stayed here one night passing through, would only stay in a place like this one night.
- 1/5
The check-in person was very nice. The room I went into was disgusting and extremely dirty. The smell was so bad that my asthma was triggered immediately. The room looked nothing like the images posted. I left right away and told the clerk, who said he would inform my request to refund and never heard back. Expedia tried calling several times also to no avail. Oh, there is an adult superstore right next door as well. The exterior grounds looked very nice but the rooms definitely need to be cleaned and updated.
- 5/5
Our stay at the Beaucatcher is as wonderful! The gentlemen at the front desk was so nice and always available when we needed. I’m going to miss the great quality sleep I got in that king sized bed. Asheville is still recovering from flooding but you could tell this little hotel was doing what they could to provide a top notch experience. We will be back!
- 3/5
Average property with a few room issues. Great staff.
- 3/5
Stayed for quick overnight en route to a vacation. We wanted to patronize a local hotel to help Asheville business. Our stay was only “ok” - I expected better after reviews. Pros: cute retro hotel, front clerk was pleasant, decent location, comfortable bed, nice soaps. Cons: the WiFi /TV didn’t work, no phone to call the front desk, no breakfast until 8:30 AM, also noted was a small amount of mildew on the shower curtain and a hair in the tub that wasn’t mine. Fine, not great. Clean- ish, could be better.
- 3/5
It was okay. This business is still recovering from Helene damage, and it shows. There were odd spots on the ceilings and damaged furniture. Our sheets had stains on them. Then when we got for replacements the stained sheets, the replacements had holes in them. The staff was very kind and apologetic.
- 3/5
Was disappointment with the room i was given. very dusty, all towels were dirty, and the AC did not cool. The gentleman at the front desk was great! he was able to get me a room by the time i got back from my event. the new room was better.
- 1/5
This property looks cute from the outside but once you get your room things go down hill. Our room was disgusting with mold in the sink and on the shower liner. There were stains on the curtains and on the bed sheets. We didn’t receive a do not disturb door sign or any general room service. On our last day we brought these issues to the manager’s attention (we didn’t notice the stain until then because they hid it by flipping that side to face the flat sheet) who did not care or give us a call back. We were told that room service has to be requested even though their welcome email explicitly states that general room service is supposed to be daily. We were also told that they put stained sheets on beds as long as the stains don’t smell bad after they wash the sheets. This is extremely unacceptable and disgusting. The beds were horribly uncomfortable. You can feel the springs of the bed in your shoulders and back and the pillows they provide are flat and twin size even though we booked a king sized bed. We actually had to go to Walmart and buy our own pillows just to get decent sleep. Please do not waste your money. They rent this place out to people by the week as almost like an “apartment”. Our neighbor had a cat and played video games all day every day loudly. We could hear him cursing at his game because of how thin the walls are. His favorite word being the f bomb. Not a family friendly facility.

Terrible, was forced to book accommodations elsewhere

I would recommend removing this property from your list. I paid for the weekend and had to get a separate hotel so had double the charges.
- 5/5
Nice spot to relax. Beautiful patio with balcony that over looks it. Room could have been cleaner as we found an empty water bottle in the shower.
- 5/5
The hotel was great all around. Very comfortable bed and everything was clean and nice. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I would definitely return.
- 4/5
Stayed a night... Room was clean... Nice furnishings... Attentive staff
- 5/5
Great stay. Motel was very clean and comfortable, also very aesthetic. The hotel manager was awesome. Not only did he check us in, he also worked as the head of maintenance, house keeping, and chef for the continental breakfast. Would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Asheville!
- 1/5
The establishment canceled the stay the same day without notifying me (they claim to have sent an email that I never received) neither me nor hotels.com with whom I had made the reservation and who therefore was also unaware. I suspect them of overbooking and of only favoring customers who have paid in advance (not those who, like me, chose the "pay upon arrival" option). In short, I favored the Holiday Inn just nearby, which is much more professional and larger.
- 2/5
Not sure why this motel gets such good reviews. Perhaps people are so pleased with the low cost of staying here that they are willing to overlooking shortcomings? On the plus side, the bed was comfortable and the noise from the busy nearby road decreased significantly after about 9 pm. My primary issue with this motel was cleanliness. First of all, there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke in the bathroom. Fortunately, the smell was mostly confined to the bathroom, but it was pretty unpleasant. The small TV in the room looked like it had been wiped with a wet rag and then left to dry. The TV screen was streaked with water spots and there was something splattered on the screen that hadn't been cleaned off. The patio door windows looked as though they hadn't been cleaned in a year or more. I appreciated the low cost of this motel, but there were too many issues for me to recommend it.
- 3/5
Convenient, quiet, comfortable, nice gardens and outside patio. Easy parking right outside the door.
- 1/5
Sketchy area, no-one there at check out either. Didn't feel very safe or welcoming No tea/coffee facilities either

This property had potential, but there was a ton of differed maintenance. It needed fresh paint, and the furniture was worn. The bathroom was tiny with no stopper to take a bath rather than a shower. The bathroom ceiling had mold growing.

The property has seen better days. We stayed here 3 years ago and loved it, maybe different owners then. This time it just wasn’t as clean, couldn’t get the coffee that is in the lobby, the room smelled like smoke even though it’s non smoking. The guy at the front desk was super friendly and said they are upgrading the rooms in the next year.

This is a basic hotel. I'm not sure what "boutique" means. I was annoyed that when I booked the hotel it advertised breakfast, then after booking an email came that said "we have no breakfast". Wifi didn't work well and had to use an alternate wifi user they had. The room had no glaring problems. Honestly I'd pay $30 more to stay at a nicer place with breakfast.

The staff is amazing and the courtyard is nice. However, the room wasn’t very clean. Sheets were stained, there were pieces of hair in the tub and can tell the bathroom hasn’t been swept recently. I wish this property well being a small business.
- 4/5
Had a good stay. Very comfortable and nice to have a balcony.
- 3/5
The walls are very thin and the next door neighbor was extremely loud when returning at 2 AM
- 2/5
of hairs, no toilet paper in the room. It took about one hour to get it from the front desk. A couple of big flying insects in the room. Hotel description indicated breakfast included but there was not really any breakfast at all. Average customer service and very poor attention to detail to be a boutique hotel.

The room was Ok it apprears they're trying to update this place. The Bath tubs are outdated. It rained heavily and water came in under the sliding glass door and the carpet was wet. So unclear if there was mold. I didn't have any reactions in breathing to make me think that was an issue. The power went out on the 2nd night there. No breakers in the rooms This was only at the hotel and it was 25 degrees outside. So room temps were falling without any heat. All surrounding properties had power. Hopefully they'll continue updating the place

Nobody works the front office. You have to call and someone comes from one of the rooms. There was a stink bug caught in a spiderweb in the bathroom. People outside my room late night making noise and no peep hole in the door. The power went out and it was freezing in my room when I woke up. No coffee due to power outage, and even though it says continental breakfast is served from 7am-10am here, the manager told me they stopped serving breakfast after the hurricane. One of my worst hotel experiences ever. DON’T STAY HERE!!!!!!!

Easy check in
- 3/5
Our unit smelled like the last guests hot boxed all night. There was no toilet paper, key had to be reset three times, etc. No one is at the front desk, so call ahead to make sure they are there upon arrival. You will need assistance. The Manager tried to make things right, they are still a bit overwhelmed. If you’re patient, this is a decent find.

Very reasonable, clean, up to date motel.

The water wasn't hot enough. The TV didn't work. The entertainment shelf was rigged up. The office didn't advise about the TV until after I paid.
- 4/5
I don’t understand why they wanted a deposit when they already had my credit card with the payment. I’ve never been asked that before. I better get my deposit back when I leave and I didn’t like having my picture taken in the parking lot by a staff desk member.
- 3/5
The property needs to update the camera system and make sure to manage bugs.

Great place

Room was not ready. Looked like someone partied in it. Immediately asked for my money back and left.
- 3/5
TV did not work properly. Reported the problem and they coul not fix it.
- 5/5
We would be happy to stay there again. We were there watching the hurricane and got out ASAP that morning. Hope recovery is swift and that the employees and other guests are all safe.
- 3/5
My stay didn’t happen. The hotel was flooded in the recent hurricane and could not accommodate guest
- 5/5
It was super cute and they were very friendly.
- 5/5
El trato de los trabajadores excelente! Y muy comodo y perfecta localizacion
- 4/5
Only stayed for one night. Very affordable and offered the basic things that we needed. There was only a dirty towel left in the bathroom and the tub was a little dirty, but nothing crazy. Will book again in the future.
- 5/5
You have to know that this is not a shiny new hotel. But it is characterful and safe, with a really fun courtyard if you want to meet other guests in a friendly space. If you only stay at chain hotels this will not work for you, but I love it's quirkiness and have stayed there at least twice a year for a while. Only complaint - tiny bathroom!
- 5/5
Hotel was conveniently located. Traffic was very loud on a Friday night. Easy drive to Biltmore estate.
- 5/5
This is a small hotel near the Beaucatcher tunnel on Tunnel Road. It isn't expensive, the room was nice and comfortable. The only negative I can think of is that they don't have an elevator.
- 3/5
Motel is situated just beside an adult novelty store, not the best environment.
- 5/5
Enjoyed
- 4/5
Nice and convenient
- 3/5
Dirty floors and a few insects and cobwebs in the bathroom. Otherwise convenient location and a nice stay.
- 5/5
Great older hotel that’s had a major facelift. It’s in a great location and the staff is nice. Rooms are nice and clean.
- 5/5
This motel is very cozy and inviting. The room and facility was clean, and the front desk associate was super nice! l loved the outdoor sitting area with lights and fireplace. I will definitely be going back.
- 4/5
Clean room and property. Close to downtown
- 5/5
It was a great find. Great room & very reasonably priced. Staff was great. Highly recommend.
- 3/5
Room was infested with spiders. Also the bathtub needed an anti-slip mat. It was very slick and unsafe.
- 3/5
The beds were old. No way around it. They were comfortable enough to sleep on but they were lumpy and squeaked loudly when you moved the slightest bit. There were 2 long black hairs (at least 2 that I noticed) on the bedding so I wasnt filled with confidence about the overall cleanliness of the room. Better selection of TV channels than other hotels in the area, if that's what you want to do. Nice grounds and courtyard area. Really nice staff members. The popcorn ceiling in the bathroom was literally peeling and dropping off. It looked really nasty and the little assortment of products hanging in the shower area looked like they had been there, untouched, for years. The part you touch was disgusting and the chemicals in the bottles were starting to separate. The water was either hot or cold, not much in between. I was only there for a night. The price was good and the location is good but I probably wouldn't stay here again.

Second time staying and love it

This is my go to motel when I go to Asheville for fun. It’s affordable and a very quick Uber ride from the heart of Asheville.
- 5/5
Everyone we interacted with was friendly and accommodating
- 4/5
The rooms where nice and well kept. The issue i had where the vagrants everywhere and the fact that we came out of the rooms with our 2 teenage girls and there is a guy smoking either cracck or meth ouside the door this is unacceptable
- 5/5
Awesome little place with a gazebo in the middle.
- 5/5
Hotel is supercute and the front desk people were very nice
- 4/5
Really enjoyed the courtyard area which was nicely landscaped and quiet despite being near Tunnel Road. The bathroom door was a little grimy and stuck upon opening and closing.
- 5/5
Great staff, super friendly. Nice sized rooms, wonderful courtyard.
- 4/5
Was fine...no issues
- 5/5
This is one of my favorite places to stay when I’m in AVL area! The staff is always friendly and helpful. Every time I stay I know I can just relax and they will take care of the rest!
- 5/5
A nice hotel at a good price. My only complaints are that the door to my room didn't have a peephole or latch lock, and there was no coffee in the room. The curtains on the sliding glass door opening onto the courtyard also stopped at the latch, so there was a gap I couldn't cover. But overall a nice place to stay.
- 5/5
My day was absolutely wonderful. I appreciate the hospitality the kindness it was wonderful.
- 5/5
Very clean, friendly staff, no issues. Would recommend and stay at again.
- 5/5
So let me be clear - I love a funky independent hotel, and this is one! It has a checkered past, but has been renovated to be a fun, safe and quiet place to rest on a busy road only a mile from all the dining of downtown. I am happy to walk to town, but know that the long tunnel is challenging for air quality and an Uber is definitely a better option after dark. The rooms are average in size and quality, and the bathrooms are TINY, but the communal area is divine

Cozy

Cute lots of restaurants in the area
- 4/5
Clean, reasonably comfortable, typical overnight motel breakfast. Good price for the area

2. Woken up at 7am on Saturday morning to loud knocking asking me who I was and how I ended up in that room, by hotel staff. I told them I ordered through Expedia and closed the door. 3. Someone opened my door at 12am telling me it was their room, waking me up.
- 3/5
The toaster didn’t work properly. Liked the tea selection and the location.

If you are looking for a convenient, clean, safe, economical, no-frills place to stay in Asheville, this is it! Will definitely stay here again. Convenient to restaurants, groceries, downtown, and a very short drive to Biltmore.
- 5/5
distance of many restaurants and downtown Asheville.
- 4/5
Pleasant exterior sitting area courtyard. Very friendly and responsive staff. If you dont like the breakfast that is provided -There is a whole array of chain restaurants and fast food shops within sight of the hotel. Sort of funny - next door is "Lover's World" adult toystore (for any other needs!)
- 5/5
Cozy n very clean n nice staff very nice
- 3/5
Wasn’t that happy with the hotel. On a very busy street.
- 4/5
Maintenance needed. Some light renovations encouraged. ( Curtains and paint).
- 5/5
Front desk staff are extremely helpful & friendly, bed comfortable, room was spacious, great location to Biltmore Estate and walkable to several restaurant's.
- 4/5
Really nice community area with outdoor sofa seating, fire pit, string lights, tons of plants! Comfy beds, micro, fridge, breakfast
- 5/5
For an older facility, it was okay for the short stay
- 5/5
Nice staff. Polite and helpful. Breakfast was included in our stay and it had plenty of options. Accommodations were simple but clean and comfortable.
