Great value and location. Very comfortable bed. Good microwave and mini fridge. I can't think of anything
- 5/5
Location and room were great, clean new bathrooms and service was excellent and on point. The body wash in the shower was out. That's it.
- 4.5/5
The room was bigger than expected, and everything looked recently upgraded. Outside is very plain, but inside - wow. Very comfortable bed. It's always great to have a fridge a desk and a chair. Appreciated the bench very much. And there is a terrific breakfast place RIGHT NEXT DOOR! We walked to the Oregon Shakespeare festival each evening - a mile walk, but worth it. I wish the pool had been open - other hotels had their pool open. I know Oregon isn't a very friendly state, and I try not to expect a smile with service, I really do... but I sure wish people would make me feel like they were happy to see me when I give them business.

Location Cleanliness Comfortable beds

Room was very clean and bed was comfy The water was hot. No cold water. No where to sit. Very noisy air conditioner that worked to some extent but was either blowing freezing air or not cooling.

Very good

Very clean, comfortable beds, quiet, nice and professional staff, convenient location and parking, affordable— look forward to staying again!

Great location…Excellent walking distance to OSF and right next door for breakfast. Shower was lovely. Room was very dark - more light would be helpful.
- 2/5
The floor wasn't swept from previous guests, cheap power strips hanging from outlets, Keurig was broke and soap dispensers barely eked out any soap. On the positive, easy parking, comfy enough beds, clean towels, good hot water pressure and cheap.

Superb

Clean and fresh decor. The bed was comfortably firm. The room was better than I would expect for the price with everything we needed. The coffee machine was a plus. We didn’t use the pool since we were only there overnight. The pillows are hard. I couldn’t use them.

Like a Tardis from Dr. Who - bigger and better on the inside than the outside. The place looks like a parking lot surrounding a postage stamp-sized pool - lots of concrete. You are not staying here for the property ambience. The interior of the room, however, was a VERY pleasant surprise: clean, modern, and quiet (except for the jet engine A/C unit - but they are all like that in motels, so no ding there). The bed was comfortable, plantation shutters blocked out the light from the outside hallway, and the shower worked well. Located 2 steps from Morning Glory, beloved Ashland breakfast spot and well worth the visit. Nice 1 mile walk to the plaza. Been coming to Ashland for 35+ years and stayed at several other places. You cannot beat the quality of the rooms and the price - would stay here again! Housekeeping was available on request (weren't aware) between 11 AM and 12 noon. We were texted AFTER 11 AM with the option and managed to put our request in before the 1-hour window closed. It might be more helpful to get a text like this earlier in the morning to give the guest time to see it and respond.

It's a very run down motel. Not dirty really but very run down from the entryway to the room. much of it

Clean and comfortable for a bare bones one night stay while visiting a friend in Ashland for a couple days. Great for sleep and shower etc, but nothing fancy. If I brought my wife out to Ashland for a weekend or several days I'd probably pick a little bit higher scale place. I guess it's not warm enough for them to open the pool yet but that would have been nice though they say they're opening in June, which is just a week away. Nice place otherwise and friendly staff! No bathtub, no gym... just a standard quick stay kind of place.

It's a cute little motel, but the room was a bit too small for two beds. The door hit the bed when entering the room. The design of the room is updated and nice. The exterior needs some work.
- 4/5
Bed was lovely and the shower was elegant! When will the pool open?

Always enjoy staying here. Always parking. Easy to walk to our favorite breakfast spot - Mornjng Glory. Rooms are clean. It is quiet. Not walking distance to downtown but right next to campus.
- 5/5
Clean, friendly, local.
- 5/5
Nicest shower in a budget friendly motel I’ve ever experienced! I had a great stay: texts from motel staff before and after check in, easy check in, friendly staff, clean room, nice bed with actual comforter, furniture and room didn’t feel sterile. Don’t let the exterior fool you, the rooms are nice. Highly recommend!
- 4/5
Clean Room, Very helpful and responsive staff! We appreciate the renovation and the hardwood floors are lovely!

The people were friendly. The room was comfortable. The exterior of the property needs a facelift.
- 4/5
Friendly and very clean, affordable and convenient. Just what we needed for a quick trip down to visit SOU.
- 5/5
Great service
- 2/5
At first room was clean and fridge was cold. The room was much smaller than the picture portrayed. This made the room a bit cramped. We stayed for 5 nights and only got partial maid service once. All the service provided was clean towels and emptied trash. When using the pool just plan to take a quick dip. Not a kid friendly pool. Internet access was ok and television was outdated with only providing basic cable with a remote that worked some of the time.
- 4/5
Overall great stay. I would say that the only drawback was that the front desk was not manned 24 hours a day.
- 5/5
Nothing fancy, but this motel was a hidden gem and I would stay there again in a heartbeat!
- 4/5
Super place for the price - comfortable bed and pleasant atmosphere - the pool was clean and refreshing - the only negative is that there is no ice machine which for us, road tripping and motel hopping, is an essential.
- 4/5
Fourth time staying there and will definitely be back
- 5/5
Excellent place to stay! Was very clean, staff was very polite and accommodating
- 2/5
I got bedbugs from this motel
- 5/5
Pleasant stay. The only drawback is the noise coming from upstairs
- 5/5
Extremely clean. New furniture. Comfortable.
- 4/5
The only main downsides were that the shower was dark (no light in the shower & had dark tile), and would benefit from a shower wand and a foldable bench. We loved the softness of the sheets and the firmness of the pillows (most places just squish), but the bed was pretty high and the top sheet did not stay on the bed. Overall, it was a pleasant night's stay & would consider staying again.
- 5/5
Not bad for an affordable motel
- 5/5
The staff were kind and the hotel rooms were clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
I was only there for a very short time but it served my needs ok. Bed was comfortable. WiFi worked well.
- 2/5
Of all the things I could say about our stay the biggest thing would be-customer service goes a long way to making guests feel comfortable and accommodated. Even if you don’t have a favorable answer, pleasant customer service as opposed to negative and accusatory, will make your guests happier.

Nice area to sot under trees

Good place to stay

Clean and nice staff.

Hottest day of the year. Would not open the pool. Was not clean. Very poor internet connectivity. Go to Ashland every year. Will never stay there again
- 5/5
All good
- 5/5
All good for our visit :)
- 5/5
The location was very close to everything of interest.
- 4/5
Very clean and organized, although we wish there was an option for later checkout upon request.
- 5/5
Great area with easy access to many resturants. No real complaints that i can think of
- 5/5
This was the second time visiting this property and it was breathtaking the location the was convenient and there were so many options near downtown Ashland for food. We also enjoyed the pool area and it was very clean and kept well. I appreciate the owners opening up their doors for us. Hope to visit again in the future.
- 4/5
It was inconvenient that I couldn’t get an additional night in my room , though I understand that the rooms were already booked. I appreciated that the receptionist suggested another hotel.
- 5/5
Very clean and comfortable. The staff was great and we had a good experience. Would stay again!
- 4/5
Small but convenient. Parking tight but adequate. Easy in & out.
- 5/5
Attractive and convenient location near SOU and shops and restaurants.
- 5/5
Great staff, clean rooms & centrally located
- 4/5
It’s older but well maintained. Quiet on a Thursday night.
- 5/5
Very clean! Quiet! Very kind!
- 5/5
Pleasant place to stay.
- 4/5
Overall the place was clean and bug free, the bed comfortable, the shower hot, what more can you ask for.
- 5/5
There one night and a fine place to stay
- 5/5
The rooms are updated and the beds are very very comfortable. Everything was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly. I will be staying here again when we come back to town. I would highly recommend this motel.
- 3/5
I guess you get what you pay for. Next time I’ll be paying the extra money for a more normal hotel experience and for better facilities.
- 4/5
Check in process was not real smooth. Great location near the university. Rooms were wonderful very clean and updated.
- 2/5
no service
- 4/5
Nice staff. Clean, comfortable room. Small but very workable.
- 5/5
The room was clean, no carpet! The room was also quiet and the beds were comfortable. The outside could use updates. They are currently working on that. This was a good value.
- 3/5
Dead Bolt lock needs adjustment. Tv remote did not work. No insulation in the ceiling. Heard every footstep and squeak in the floor above. Transition between rooms loose and is a tripping hazard.
- 4/5
Good location, very pleasant.
- 5/5
Great price. Outside very humble and could use some upgrade, but room was nice and newly refurbished. Pool was clean and delightful temp. Friendly at check-in and unlocking gate to pool. Good value for price.
- 5/5
Ashland Motel University is my go-to spot when I just need to get away into a private, quiet and very comfortable space. Internet is great, neighborhood has what I want and need and check-ins always feel warm and welcoming.
- 4/5
The motel was east to find and conveniently located close to I-5 and about a mile from downtown Ashland. Right next door to Morning Glory for delicious breakfast! The room was clean, AC worked great, and the staff super friendly and helpful. The pool is tiny and in the middle of the parking lot so that was the only downside —not that I came to Ashland looking for time by the pool but this one was not super inviting.
- 5/5
The desk clerk was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and comfortable. The pool was a perfect temperature. And it's next door to a great breakfast place. I would stay there again.
- 5/5
Excellent price for very reasonable and comfortable amenities. Easy 20ish minute walk to downtown. Great customer service. Would recommend.
- 4/5
Affordable
- 4/5
The motel is basic on the outside but the room is clean and beds are comfortable. Great value!
- 4/5
It was close by for graduation festivities
- 3/5
The staff insisted upon scanning a copy of my driver's license, as opposed to just looking at it to confirm my identity. I would not stay here again. There is no good reason for a motel to keep this kind of personal information.
- 3/5
Shower was really good
- 4/5
Good, basic motel. Bottom floor room had very low ceilings and was a bit cave-like. But the mattress was very good, everything was clean and had been remodeled. Check-in was easy, host was pleasant and accommodating. A good, budget value.
- 3/5
The location was directly across from SOU which was perfect for us. The staff waited up late for us to check in which was generous and appreciated. The room was cold and the hot water took 4-5 minutes to show up in the shower and sink. The outside of the property seemed run down, but we slept well.
- 5/5
Great room, Quiet. Good price.
- 4/5
Very basic and modest room, with a very nicely remodeled bathroom. Convenient location to downtown, and a real throw back to the hotels of the fifties.
- 5/5
Clean, everything worked, warm on cold winter night, safe and quiet
- 5/5
Wonderfdully remodelled Motel. Comfortable, large bed, oversized shower and convenient location! Don't judge the outside!
- 4/5
Pretty no-frills place but our room was very clean and seemed to be recently updated. It was very quiet, mainly because we seemed to be the only people there on a mid-December Friday night. Totally worth the price.
- 3/5
The motel room appeared relatively clean but still looks worn out as the whole building does.. The heater unit is too noisy to sleep with on and the water flow from the sink and shower are barely average. For a few dollars more I think I could’ve found something better, I probably won’t stay here again.
- 4/5
Basic, worth the cost.
- 4/5
The owner was very friendly. The room was clean. I would suggest that a bit more landscaping would brighten up the motel’s appearance. The room could use 1 comfortable chair, a floor lamp, and maybe at least I picture on the wall.
- 4/5
Small but very clean rooms in an older motel that is nothing fancy on the outside but does have a pool and is next door to Morning Glory, the best breakfast in Ashland. Not downtown but just minutes away from the Shakespeare fest. We'll be back!
- 5/5
Worked great with our group.
- 3/5
When we entered it immediately smelled like smoke. I realize that is a difficult smell to eradicate but it was very evident. The soap, shampoo, etc smelled amazing. Check out was easy.
- 5/5
Very easy and friendly check in. Room was absolutely spotless with not even a speck of dust to be found anywhere. Nicely done renovated room. Bed was so comfortable I fell asleep much earlier than planned. Great location within easy walking distance to several restaurants, the university, and a food market. Very reasonably priced. I will definitely be staying here again when in the area.
- 5/5
Older motel.... The outside looks a little shabby and my first impression was it was going to be a dive, but was pleasantly surprised when I saw my room. Updated rooms, with aesthetic appeal and lots of attention to detail.... Bamboo floors good colors, company clean beds, small but really nice bathroom with huge tiled shower with glass door, nice colors. I usually go for the cheapest on hotel. Com cuz I'm kind of a tight wad but this week I spent all little extra to stay here again
- 4/5
Would stay here again, very decent price, can't go wrong.
- 5/5
Very nice and relaxing stay. Staff is friendly and helpful.
- 3/5
OK - Not Great - Should have spent a little more at another place in order to get a lot more. Ice machine didn't work. Testy maid... Towels were a bit aged. Inconsiderate guests with their diesel pickup trucks started motors at 7 am to warm up while smoking cigs under our window. Staff took little interest in resolving.
- 4/5
Neat and clean property at budget price. Comfortable bed
- 4/5
The room was clean and basic. No frills but very comfortable and quiet. The owner was very helpful with giving us directions and let us to an outstanding restaurant for dinner!
- 4/5
Great pool, salt water no chlorine. Comfortable beds, no carpet (great), windows on two sides of room, no cave. Older property but very well kept. Great staff. Could use some plants to green up the outside space but there is a nice grass area.
- 5/5
Quick and easy to stay. Pool was clean and beds were nice. Microwave and fridge in room.

Pleasantly surprised by the updates especially the bathroom. Hidden gwm.
- 5/5
Cool comfortable room, good shower, nice to have two chairs. Close to town. Easy check out. Good for a one night stay on our road trip.

Nice little quiet motel

Lovely
- 5/5
Everything was beautiful Clean, very quiet and calm if I ever travel to Oregon again I will definitely stay here.
- 4/5
Very basic. No shampoo conditioner. Not great storage bring you own hangers. The bedding and bed was good. Firm as typical for hotels but bedding was good and spotlessly clean and fresh. Everyone that works there was universally cheerful and helpful.
- 5/5
Great vintage motel. Beautiful hardwood floors. Great shower. Very clean. Friendly staff. Excellent location. We walked to downtown. It is across from university. We will definitely stay thete again.
- 4/5
Clean ,lighting could be better
- 5/5
The manager was especially welcoming and accommodating of our needs. A clean, pleasant hotel room.
- 1/5
There was no one there to check me in at 3:00pm. Their door was locked, they didn't answer the bell, they didn't answer the phone or call me back. This place also looked like it was a hole in the wall very low end motel.
- 5/5
Great location, simple but clean rooms, perfect for what we needed. I will be back, as a matter of fact I am booking today again
- 4/5
The rooms are pretty nice for a motel. The bathrooms are nice too.
- 1/5
Booked and paid for two rooms for Halloween days in advance. I arrive to check in, and the manager will not let me check in because I am a “local.” If I were a local I wouldn’t need a hotel. I live 47 miles away and had just drove that distance thinking I had two rooms reserved. He informs me that no one who resides within 50 miles can check in. I had 2 other guests with me from further out of town and asked if we could place the reservation under their name instead. He said no and also refused to rent the now vacant rooms to either one of them, even though they resides outside the 50 miles. The manager had confirmed my reservation over the phone that morning and never mentioned this policy. We got a way nicer room on the spot right across the street. Never go here!!!!
- 3/5
Very basic motel but in good location next to university. Ugly grounds all asphalt. Owners apparently take no pride in appearance. Uncomfortable small room. No writing desk. Awkward metal rack. Ugly
- 5/5
Nice room: Plenty of space. Clean and welcoming. Amazing for the price!
- 3/5
other then that it was comfortable enough. my room had one small queen bed and not phone. it was not bad it was fare
