Reviews
The hotel is generally well-liked for its cleanliness, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. The location is also a highlight, with many guests appreciating its proximity to local attractions and transportation. However, there are some consistent complaints about the expensive parking, lack of room service, and occasional issues with the AC and bathroom cleanliness.

Fantastic view from our room. Very clean and well appointed. Nice shower and very friendly staff. Nothing!

The valet locked our keys in their closet and couldn’t get to it. We were like waiting for a bit to be able to go to our event and the valet smelled like weed to the point so did my car. (They rolled windows down so I imagine others have already complained). No other option for parking except the $55/ day valet.

They should have a bottle of water in the room which they do not. Also morning complimentary coffee is baseline these days.

Clean room, friendly staff, great location
- 4/5
The gym was clean but not much variety other than cardio or dumbbells. The room needed a deep clean but wasn’t overly dirty, you can tell certain spots get forgotten about when they clean between guests. Restaurant closes early if it’s not busy.

Highlights • Artistic Decor: The interior design is a visual treat, featuring curated local artwork and sleek, mid-century modern furnishings that reflect the creative spirit of the Midtown neighborhood. • Delicious Dining: Xhibit Studio Kitchen & Bar is a must-visit. The menu offers a fantastic selection of Southern-inspired flavors with a contemporary twist, that truly deliver on taste. • The Vibe: It’s a seamless blend of high-end comfort and neighborhood charm, making it an ideal base for exploring the nearby High Museum of Art or BeltLine.

Our room air condition was not working and the room was at 74! I had to call our second night and they had to send maintenance up to fix it. It worked then made a loud sound for the rest of our stay. Disrupted our sleep. Billing through Expedia was also not accurate. A part of the amenities in the listing said free breakfast but there is no buffet only a restaurant which is not free, this is part of why we chose this hotel so that was super frustrating.

Had to wait 3hrs to get in room because internet down. Did not come on till days later. Could not get work done.
- 1/5
The check in system was down when we arrived. This was my fiancées birthday getaway and it turned out horrible. We were not able to get into our room until 8 pm. We had dinner reservations at the sundial that we were unable to make it to because of the issues at the hotel. So I was charged 60 dollars for breaking my reservations. Then we were not able to get into our room until 8 so we lost 4 hours from our hotel stay in a Spey room with a view for her birthday. The staff was amazing but we lost a lot of money due to the issues they were having with the check in system. I feel our stay should be reimbursed or be given a free night. This stay was meant to be a special evening for her birthday and it turned out to be a huge let down to her.

The staff were great, the rooms were nice and clean and had a view. I liked the sheets and pillows on the bed, ample outlets though one side wouldn’t work unless the master switch was on and that cause the big light to come on. Tv size was good and very fast WiFi. The location was perfect, Midtown was a very nice place to stay!
- 5/5
Staff was excellent from valet to check in and bar. A good experience. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Excellent choice for downtown Atlanta! Clean room, great staff, very personable, especially Stacy and Miguel at front desk and Christian in Maintenance.

The room was spotless. The only issue was that the refrigerator was not working. The staff was friendly

We became stuck in the middle elevator on the 13th floor. Repeatedly tried to use the key card, which flashed each time to indicate activation, but the doors wouldn't open or advance the elevator to move--nothing. Rang the emergency help button persistently, no help. We could hear the alarm ringing--still no help. After some time, thankfully, the elevator began and we made it to the lobby--apparently the elevator was compelled by a call for it by a patron in the lobby waiting to use it. If they has not, we'd still be there. When we arrived in the lobby we asked why no one had initiated help for us. The receptionist said they never heard any alarm or received a help request. The following day, when we left to checkout at 05:30 a.m., only the middle elevator would arrive to our call. Not wanting to take another chance with this elevator, we were faced with either taking 13 flights of stairs or waiting until another elevator. We waited...and waited. Fortunately, another early morning guest or staff summoned for an elevator so we seized the opportunity and pressed the button again and finally another, other elevator arrived to rescue us from the 13th floor. One minor note, when we checked out with the receptionist, I asked for a receipt for our visit. He gave me a receipt for the beverage we purchased. I again asked for a stay receipt and he gave me a receipt for the overnight parking--I still haven't received a receipt for our stay...

Very nice room, big bed, clean and smells nice too
- 5/5
I really enjoyed my time here! The staff was incredibly friendly, and I especially loved the delicious coffee at the restaurant in the mornings. The rooms were spotless, and the bathroom was spacious with wonderful lighting—perfect for us ladies who love to see well! The location is peaceful and within walking distance to everything I needed. I'm already looking forward to returning soon!

A good place to stay except if you drive a car , Parking is valet only , so it is expensive

I was able to do get an early check-in. The room was spacious, modern, and clean.
- 5/5
This is a great hotel, I enjoyed my stay. Room was spacious and the whole hotel was very clean.
- 5/5
No complaints, valet is pricey so I parked on the street because it’s free after 10pm at the corner.
- 2/5
My room was so dark I had to keep the lights on all the time, and even then it was sometimes hard to see. Even worse, there was a low, constant machine noise all night long which kept me awake. The staff, while incredibly friendly, was also, sadly, quite inefficient. Took much longer than it should have to check in, and I'm now waiting to check out while a staff member chats with a guest. When I temporarily misplaced my room key they couldn't seem to get another one to work, and didn't seem to understand that I was in a huge rush, even though I told them I was. It's too bad, because everything house is quite nice; the bed's comfortable, they have free bikes to borrow, etc. and as I said, everyone working there could not have been nicer or friendlier. (Or, sadly, chattier)
- 3/5
I enjoyed my stay at the Canopy overall. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. The reason I didn't rate higher overall is because I got stuck, yes stuck in the bathroom in my room. Luckily I was sharing a room with my friend and had taken my phone with me. Both of us pulling and slightly lifting the door back off the track allowed me to get out. Previously to this we called to have the engineer come up to fix the door because it wouldn't close. They know of the ongoing issue with the sliding doors they have. The doors get stuck or completely come off the track. I'm hoping they seriously fix this.
- 5/5
Would stay here again
- 3/5
A generally nice place with good staff. Parking cost was high at $60 a night but my car was easily accessed as needed. Barn door to the bathroom was off its track making it difficult to operate.
- 4/5
Hotel was good.
- 5/5
Clean room staff
- 4/5
It was challenging to find the parking garage, but valet parking was wonderful. I did have to call twice about no AC, but they were very responsive and resolved the issue.
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 5/5
I chose this property because of it's proximity to Center Stage, but I'd stay there again whether I was attending a concert at that venue, or not. The room was dead quiet, the bed, comfortable, and the bathroom was well appointed. My two complaints about the room would be lack of microwave or refrigerator, but I wasn't overly inconvenienced. The ice machine down the hall makes the good, crunchy diner ice (IYKYK) and the restaurant food was good enough. Valet was expensive as heck, but it's midtown, so, what can you expect? The valet guys were super, too, especially Dion (I hope Im spelling his name correctly) who kept his cool when the tag came off my key ring and my car appeared to be "OUT" even though I was standing there, waiting for it. We had a good laugh after it was found to be safely parked where the night crew left it, but Im sure it was not a great feeling for him, but like I said, he stayed cool, which kept me calm when I was honestly feeling pretty frazzled on the inside. All in all, a great stay!
- 5/5
Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel with great staff
- 5/5
GOOD: spacious king room, iron/board, two robes, two pairs of slippers, Nespresso (original line), amazingly roomy shower with bench and toiletries, lots of bathroom storage and light. Nice location. Short walk to lots of restaurants, grocery, and parks/sights. We walked to lunch and ended up at the Pride Parade and spent the afternoon watching it and walking around the festival. High Museum is across the street. The staff is super friendly. Husband said “the White lady who checked us in” helped him at least 3 times and was always incredibly nice. (Room 1220 on 10/10 to narrow that staff member down lol.) TO IMPROVE: The fridge cooler drawer was broken so we used it as a clothes drawer. A dorm fridge was already waiting for us inside the room but it was by the door which got in the way when leaving, but otherwise it was no big deal. The tv remote acted sassy. Not sure if there is room service. If so, it’s not marketed well. Valet, while very quick and easy, is very pricey - $60/night I think. Valet staff never said hello or welcome, but they weren’t rude either. Overall nice time and the price was affordable. Would stay here or other Canopys again.
- 5/5
Staff super friendly and shout out to the valet guy!
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable facility. Friendly staff.
- 5/5
Stayed in room 1120. Bed and pillows were super comfortable. I thought the pillows were extra great! Room was quiet. It took me a minute to understand how to use the coffee maker. Coffee was really good compared to usual hotel coffee. My only criticism is that the little refrigerator did not work. It was on, but warmer than the even the room air. My parents stayed in room 1002.

Stay elsewhere. This place is on the same level as a budget motel. They have the ac on a motion sensor and if you don’t move consistently it will shut off and not come back on without the assistance of engineering staff. This means when you sleep, ac shuts off and stays off. Go out and expect to come back to a sweltering hot room and the ac may or may not come back on without an engineer coming up to “fix” it. Hilton has decided the best way for them to save money is to inconvenience the guests that are the source of their money. Brilliant. Dining is comically bad , might as well not even have a dining option because the service is so bad you may never get your food. There were weird stains in the bathroom on the walls and tissue holder. Based on the rest of my experience I’m not surprised at the lack of cleanliness. If you have any standards or expectations beyond what one might find at budget motel I suggest you stay elsewhere.
- 5/5
We came into town for a concert at Center Stage. The hotel was just a few steps away which eliminated the need to worry about fighting downtown traffic or finding parking. The area is nice and is walkable to shopping, restaurants, and theaters. Very pleasant experience!
- 5/5
Great hotel. Valet parking only and it was a little pricey.
- 4/5
Front desk was a bit lacking in timely service
- 4/5
Our room service attendant was excellent!
- 5/5
Great location, clean and comfortable room. I wish there was complimentary breakfast though.
- 5/5
Nice hotel and easy travel to downtown.
- 3/5
Property was clean and relatively quiet for the location. Did have an issue with my reservation being marked as a no show, after I had I checked in, showed ID, paid the incidentals deposit, and was given room keys. Room was then given to someone else while I was occupying it. Was frustrating dealing with another guest trying to access my room in the middle of the night. Check in was well before night audit as well. Gives the impression this location is not well run
- 5/5
I loved the views and the people
- 4/5
valet prices, fluctuate, and are out of control
- 5/5
Amazing property
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
The property was well maintained and the staff was friendly. I did not like the inconvenience of the valet only experience. The valets were pretty quick retrieving cars but the link to request my vehicle never worked. I would like the option to park my own vehicle.

Everything was great. The staff was friendly, professional and attentive. The breakfast was good also.

Modern amenities and friendly staff, only slight complaint, our safe didn’t work and the streaming apps on our tv stopped working partway through our stay. also the location was a bit further from the main action of midtown. but overall still a great stay

First and last experience staying at a Canopy hotel. Would not recommend, especially for the price.

Everything was amazing! Clean beautiful rooms with superrrr soft beds omg I wish I could take it with me. Staff was so friendly and helpful.

Breakfast should’ve been included, but overall hotel was nice. Staff was nice.
- 5/5
The room was very comfortable.
- 5/5
Very clean and valet was very helpful and easy!
- 4/5
Room was clean. Front desk staff was helpful and nice. Valet was prompt but $50 for valet is absurd and feels like robbery. It this the average for hotels in midtown?
- 5/5
Fantastic hotel and amenities. Highly recommended. stayed June 6-9

- 5/5
Very nice property, room and accommodations were nicely put together. Only issue I had and this…might be a “me thing”…I couldn’t figure out how to turn the shower on/off from the regular head to the portable one, just saying, it literally took me 20”!
- 5/5
Lovely hotel and great staff! They were very accommodating and made me feel comfortable. Definitely recommend it!

This was a beautiful hotel.

I loved this hotel the experience was amazing so clean great area soft bed awesome shower and great service I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in this area and will definitely stay there again when returning myself.
- 5/5
Nice room, very comfortable - decor maybe a little more than needed for the vibe, but hey that's their call. I'll gladly stay here next time I'm in midtown.
- 5/5
I was visiting my dad at Piedmont hospital and Canopy was a reasonable and convenient location. Easy Uber to the hospital. Excellent accommodations, high marks for staff and they have a decent restaurant on site.

- 5/5
Nice and clean property. Very close to restaurants
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 2/5
Nowhere on the property's website or on Expedia was it mentioned that valet parking was the only option and it cost an additional $48 per night. The breakfast "buffet" is laughable compared to most cheaper options. Options this morning were eggs, potatoes, sausage, bacon, oatmeal and a small selection of breads/bagels. Not bad quality, but for $18 per person with one drink (no refills) each, it was not worth it. The bar was well stocked and the bartenders were polite, but the few other employees we encountered during our stay including our "server" at breakfast were not very polite. Overall, it was conveniently located nearby the Center Stage Theater, but I would not stay here again.
- 5/5
Great quality of room, I appreciated the modern feel and cleanliness.

- 4/5
convenient
- 5/5
Staff was friendly, great location, hip desgn to the hotel, plenty of places to relax near the lobby, and the room was laid out nice.
- 2/5
They should provide free parking instead of charging for it. Additionally, the room lacks a microwave, and you have to pay extra just to use the refrigerator, even though you’re already paying a significant amount to stay there.
- 5/5
Great valet staff
- 5/5
Fantastic place would stay there over and over
- 5/5
We were very happy with our stay. Staff went out of their way to welcome and assist us, especially Dexter, who went out of his way to cheerfully help us with a parking issue.

Parking was a bit confusing but they do have the option to valet. Breakfast isn’t free. Rooms were clean. Staff was nice.

The property was really nice and in a good area, its just the fact of staying there new year eve and new year was a little bit not worth it,everything was closed, restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner and bar so i stayed and didnt expect all that being i didnt want to be out for the new year
- 4/5
Safe, Quiet
- 4/5
Safe, walkable, neighborhood
- 3/5
Nice property but parking is terrible. The only option is valet and the valet person was no where to be found. Parked in a spot and ended up with a $75 parking ticket. The valet option is the only option for parking and they charge over $30 per car. I would probably never book this hotel again due to these issues.
- 5/5
Clean, nice property, friendly staff and good food! Close to a lot of other restaurants.
- 5/5
Very close to SCAD and safe, walkable to center Stage.
- 5/5
Everyone took great care of us for our stay. Conveniently located near everything we were doing when in the area. Will definitely stay again!
- 4/5
The and hotel and room were fine except that the thermostat did not work well and the room was too warm at night. They tried to fix the problem but did not fully succeed. Staff is young and perhaps needs more training.
- 5/5
Very clean and nice
- 5/5
The internet was going on and out the whole time. Other than that it was ver nice.
- 4/5
Overall this property was wonderful. The only thing that bothered us is the humidity in the rooms. After the first night we woke up and our shoes were damp as were any items that hadn’t been packed away in bags. Not sure why but it was a little weird.
- 5/5
Loved the hotel. It was nice and clean. You will miss the garage where the valet is located if you’re not paying attention though.
- 5/5
We was in the hotel safety quiet easy parking I like canopy
- 5/5
Great facilities and rooms
- 2/5
I checked in Friday evening and let the front desk know my refrigerator wasn’t working and no one did anything about it I would like to be compensated for my bad time I had

The Canopy by Hilton Atlanta Midtown exceeded all my expectations. The location is perfect, with major attractions just a short walk away. The rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. A truly fantastic stay! Highly recommended!
- 1/5
The receptionist is so rude and the room is dirty. They charged $48 a day for valet parking and my car got broke, imagine that. O didn’t stay for the second night. Will not ever recommend at all. Very disappointed
- 5/5
Great service

Love this cute hotel in midtown Altanta. This is our go to hotel when we visit family. It’s clean, new, really nice gym, good food and service.
