Best Western Plus Augusta North Inn & Suites

Room was very clean and comfortable. Pool was great! We had a great stay here and will definitely be staying here again when we are back in Augusta!

Good place to stay

The room that I had booked was given to someone else, I was offered a different room, which smelled like someone's been smoking in it. They said they can't do anything, take it or leave it. Breakfast was good.

Toilet kept running. Got tools of my motorcycle and fixed it. Toilet seat very loose. Fixed that too. Dirty hand prints in the shower. Unable to leave motorcycle under the very spacious lobby overhang. This is the first time in over 10 years this happened. Storms were in the area, and wanted to keep the bike dry. Not a big deal. For anyone thinking, carry a cover! A cover will tip your bike over in a cross wind. Picture of last weeks ride attached.

The front desk staff were all very nice, the property was well maintained, and everything was clean. We loved the layout of our room -- king bed w/ a privacy wall for the separate sofa and coffee table, and a small kitchenette w/ a large refrigerator for leftovers or drinks. My only complaint was the room's lighting. The single overhead light in the sofa area flickered out after a short time (we let them know about it at checkout), and the kitchenette had NO light whatsoever, so we couldn't see to make coffee. Otherwise, it was great!

Overall really great hotel, rooms were clean and staff were super helpful and nice especially considering we checked in around 4 am. Great experience overall!

Served the purpose of giving us a place to rest our heads for a decent price. Pool not available while we were there which was a negative and the facilities, including our room could have been cleaner and smelled fresher. My seven year old kept finding things that grossed her out, like spots on the chair, bed spread, floor, bathtub and walls. Overall would probably not choose this location again.

They had a really noisy elevator that was so bad we had to ask for a different room, once moved it was a great evening.

But the Room: The phone was disgustingly dirty, the bathroom had unwrapped soap in the bathroom, (why wasn’t it wrapped? It looked like someone else used it and left it. The hole in the sink was disgusting and needs to be disinfected, and cleaned. The toilet was not properly cleaned. Coffee maker was dirty as was the tray the coffee items were in. The refrigerator was not cleaned. Everything was dusty. I’m already OCD, so I always bring my cleaning pads and Lysol disinfectant spray. I had to clean everything and if I had a vacuum I would’ve vacuumed the carpet too. This wasn’t acceptable. I didn’t even bother complaining to the front desk because it’s BW problem to make sure that these things are followed up on. Staff is okay, front desk, not so friendly. There are many more things but I wanted to keep it simple. There was no safe in the room, therefore the 4 days I was there, I did not allow them to clean my room. The room is soooo dark. You can barely see day or night even with the lights on. The pluses: Sufficient amount of towels, a good size refrigerator, a microwave, comfortable bed and bedding, streaming and TV service, and hot breakfast. Breakfast was the same thing as very day, but cooked differently which was still good enough. Coffee machine available 24/7 in the lobby. Plenty of parking even at night. This BW has the potential to be a great property, but the staff all need training. Especially the cleaners.

The facilities are modern and comfortable. However, during our seven-day stay, our room never received a full cleaning. We had to constantly request basic services, such as trash removal and fresh towels. Despite traveling with a baby, the hotel did not provide a crib service. Additionally, the breakfast buffet ran out of food quickly, and the staff failed to replenish items as closing time approached. We also noticed that the hotel employees were eating from the same buffet as the guests

Additionally, upon checkout, I was informed that I owed a $40 balance for a room upgrade. I never requested, authorized, or agreed to any room upgrade, so I was surprised to see this charge added to my account.

Love the Staff and Managers Great experience

Although it wasn’t perfectly clean, I wouldn’t expect perfection unless I was paying $300+. It wasn’t nothing that made me wanna change rooms. Staff was nice, the little shop came in handy. It was mostly raining when I came. Breakfast wasn’t anything crazy. Mainly eggs n some type of meat. Still give it a 9/10.

Carpet in the room was torn. It had not been vacuumed. Pillow looked like it had been used. The bathroom and shower were great.

They stopped serving breakfast at 9 which is very unusual. My toilet had hair in it that I had to flush. The bathtub had dead bugs and the floor had not been swept.

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We were in town for a softball tournament. I continued to call the hotel to update them on our arrival time, and all were very pleasant. We checked in with Linda, who was very friendly and helpful. the room was great and very clean, though the fire/smoke alarm was beeping every so often and when we advised Linda she had maintenance take care of right away. Check out with Joleasa was just a great, and the breakfast provided was just the fuel our softball player needed to start her day off great. We stay again. Defiently a 5 STAR experience.

We arrived late to breakfast and much of the food was gone. Basketball teams were staying that night so I think they cleaned up a lot of the food’

Very accommodating and truly yseful.

Front desk staff was amazing. Friendly, helpful and attentive. Best Western is one of the few hotels that has a reasonable pet fee. I am usually only spending one night on the road with my dog and fees for a place to stay have tripled in the past few years. I hope Best Western keeps doing what they are doing!

I have travelled all over and have stayed from luxury to budget, and this hotel definitely stood out as one of my best stays, not only because of the clean and comfortable accommodation, amenities and the food but because of the people. Thank you Best Western. You have a customer for life.

Stayed here two separate times on the ground floor both times and everything is pretty great EXCEPT it’s so loud. The rooms need more soundproofing. May be better on higher floors. Noise of other guest’s foot traffic, employees doing their normal work rounds and the mechanical noise from the elevators really take away from otherwise pretty great rooms.

The room was clean, but the beds were very uncomfortable, the carpet is stained and looks dirty, especially in the hallways. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was good. The door to the pet area that is supposed to be unlocked with a key card was kept open by a floor mat wedged in between the door and frame and that made me feel very unsafe. If the atmosphere of this hotel could be captured in a picture it would be the picture I took of the disposal bag holder in the pet area filled with cigarette butts..

I stay here a lot, and IT IS A GOOD PROPERTY! But one reason you stay here is the hot breakfast. This morning the breakfast lady didn't come, and there was no breakfast at all. The front desk guy could get to and dragged out cereals and breads, but he couldn't even get to the milk (in locked cabinet) and there were no eggs. I can't have breads due to a dietary restriction, so I couldn't have the breads. I was so disappointed that there were no eggs. The desk staff was shocked the breakfast lady didn't come today. I'm sorry the staff didn't call the breakfast lady or the manager. And oddly, for the first time ever, we heard highway noises, which we have never heard before in many nights staying here. I easily drowned the noises out by putting the fan on high. DESPITE those unexpected issues, I'll say that this is typically an EXCELLENT property. It just had one bad day.

This hotel is Marijuana free . We stayed at 2 floor and the smell is so strong all over the place . Terrible for family trio.

Also when I complained about it the front desk they gave me the emails to 3 resources, I emailed all 3 with the pictures and they failed to respond, this place sucked..at least for me.

I’m convinced every single review is fake at this point because ain’t no way ya’ll saw this hotel and gave it a good review. When I checked in one the front desk people had a snake around his neck. Then as soon as I get off the elevator I watch a cockroach crawl across the carpet. I let that slide and then get into my room to see that it smells disgusting (like burn your nose disgusting) and it’s dirty. Then my daughter goes to use the bathroom and finds out there’s no toilet paper so I have to rush down to get her toilet paper. Then THREE different times random people knock on my door… once around 10:40, then again at 12:38 and the final time was 3:48am…. I would have asked to switch rooms but my children were extremely tired and thankfully it was a one night stay. I will avoid this hotel at all expenses next time…. Just spend the extra $30 to stay at the holiday inn because they would NEVER.

The rooms were clean, quiet and well maintained. Enjoyed the breakfast and the staff were friendly.

The first room I was checked in was poorly cleaned and the sheets had hair on them, also the air conditioner had a funny smell to it. I went to the front desk to leave and get a refund but they offered to switch rooms instead so I agreed. Get to the next room only for it to be a little better then the first, sheets also had hair on them as I well but the air conditioner didn’t have a smell anymore. I ended up sleeping with my clothes on and left the next day.

The bathroom was not completely clean. The tub was dirty the shower curtain was dirty. The bathroom sink was leaking.Two of the pillow cases was missing. The room just didn't feel clean.

Love everything about the property except they only have 1 ice machine on the 2nd floor and it has not worked the last 3 times we have stayed there. The ice machine on the 4th floor is gone. They need to correct this issue since I notified them the 1st time I stayed there. GURU Management is not doing a good job on this issue.

Staff was amazing but the hotel up keep was not good . I was placed in 3 seperate rooms and all 3 had problems . Room 1 had a broken Ac that we slept in and realize it filled the room with a smell, room 2 bathroom toilet was broken and the sink , and room 3 Air conditioner unit was dripping all over the floor after the 3rd inconvenience we chose to leave after the front desk woman told us no manager was on site due to vacation and this was not the first time a person has experienced this. Then proceeded to tell us we could always book another hotel but did not provide us anything to help the situation. As well as we came from Philadelphia , so we ended up deciding to cut the vacation short and drive home to Philadelphia

Its a catch fish for sure. As soon as you walk into the lobby it's nice and smells clean. When you step off the elevator your welcomed by dirty musty smell. Our first room as soon as we came in you could see it hadn't been cleaned. Hair all over the bathroom floor and ceiling. It was so dirty. I went back down and requested it be swept. They said it be easier to just switch rooms. Our new room was just as dirty. After a day we noticed the carpet was Saturated with water. There was a leak in the wall. Went down and told the staff. Maintenance came up and confirmed the issues. Again we pack up and move to another room. This room was just as dirty but at least the floor was dry. When we showered we discovered the shower didn't drain and filled with water. The air conditioner had an error on it and when I went to pull out the pull out bed on the couch I discovered there was no mattress. We literally couldn't wait to check out of this place. It's seriously filthy. The staff is really nice but that's all this hotel has going for it

This hotel was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The reason i did not give it 5 starts was for several little, insignificant things. One of the reasons is: I wanted a room facing Clausen Rd, there was only 1 room in each floor. The attendant said ok but instead of telling me he didn't have one available, he gave me a room overlooking the roofs of the YMCA. If i was given a choice, I would have chosen overlooking the parking.

The entire hotel smelled of marijuana. It was even coming through the exhaust fan in the bathroom. There were people actively rolling joints in the parking lot. The outlets wouldn’t hold a plug in them. The ice maker was not working. Breakfast wasn’t very appealing. The air conditioner was set to 64 and still didn’t really cool the room.

third time in this hotel in a year. But this time was the worse of all. The receptionest was very unwelcoming, no hi or a helo. My room was next to the elevator, the noise from the elevator gets louder by the day and at night its very loud and couldnt sleep for hours. I went down and complained and ask for a different room for tomorrow. I was told they can try tomorrow, i complaint to expedia and they called the hotel and was told they gonna provide a different to me. Then the next morning my daughter went to lobby and asked for the different room,and again it was refused for a different room. That was my worse experence. Lastly the pet fee was $40 a day which shocked me, its been the most expensive hotel with a $40 a day fora pet in my life

We enjoyed our stay here, the only negatives are the doors to stairway are loud when they shut. Staff isn’t the friendliest.

This hotel is wonderful. We were happily surprised to have a (nearly) full-size refrigerator with a huge freezer -- exactly what we needed. The room also had a microwave. The hot breakfast was excellent, including some form of eggs and breakfast meat (such as sausage patties). There were lots of other breakfast options as well. There is a small seasonal outdoor pool.

I had a really sweet person at the front desk Alexandria Cotton. Absolutely the sweetest most helpful person there. She answered all my questions and helped me with everything I needed from early check-in to extending my stay. She made up for the rude person who worked on second shift.

I accidentally reserved a room at this wonderful hotel gor a week long stay.....i reserved the room in the wrong state. So from my experience, the staff on the ohine were helpful, understanding, patience and just great to speak with. That being said, awlays, always get the insurance.

Bathroom was a handicap bathroom, which we didn't book. There was no shower curtain, bathroom was moldy. Property also took a $25 “incidental” fee (not deposit) that they claimed i would get back at checkout. But shows as a charge on my capital one card. Other hotels have tried to pull this scam before. Not happy and would like a refund.

It is easy to get to from the highway l, I have stayed here twice when passing through to Atlanta. Price is decent and the room is nice and clean.

Beds where comfortable, breakfast is from 7:30 to 10 am is what was said at check in got down for breakfast at 810 and food was almost completely gone and the lady said they was not restocking it. Property was nice

The staff was pleasant at front desk and the room was clean, however I was very upset as me and several other guests I encountered went down for breakfast around 9:30, 30 min before they were supposed to close, and they had already cleaned up all of the breakfast items. Part of the reason I paid to stay here was for the breakfast and I was very upset they shut it down early.

This was. a last minute hotel booking. We had to find something fast. The bed was comfortable and clean. For $100 it is what you would expect. The bathroom was dirty and the room had a weird off putting smell. it wasn't the worst hotel I have ever sayed at but wasn't the best. We were only there for about 8 hours so it was what it was. Someone in another room had two dogs that barked insessently after we woke up in the morning. Which I'm glad it wasn't at night. The ladies that checked us in at night were super helpful. The morning staff acted like we were a different story. Ohhhh and none of the ice machines worked. Breakfast was average but to be expected for the price point we paid.

The breakfast lady is very rude and she is watch you eat and also be in such a rush to clean up . also breakfast was to 10 and the food was away at 9:30 that is very unprofessional and unacceptable. also not friendly at all. she is a black lady with braids need to be fired !!!

One set of very small shampoo, conditioner for three adults. I’ve stayed at many Best Westerns in the past. They were exceptionally well! This was like a comfort inn. Nice, but not great.

We got a dirty room. Trash under the bathroom counter, pee and hair on the toilet seat. Wet toilet paper and what looked like throw up spatter on the side of the toilet. A hair on a "new" towel. The walls were dirty. They left trash in the freezer from the last person in the room. They couldnt move rooms because it was booked and they said someone would come clean it. No in ever did. They shut down breakfast early and the pool. If I could leave pictures I would.

I was surprised at an incidentals fee and it wasn’t explained to me in a way when I checked in to let me know it was just a deposit. The toilet was making a running noise and not flushing very well. Otherwise the room was very clean, the location was convenient, and staff were nice.

The property was not a 5 star not even a 4. The bed was very uncomfortable and when I asked for more pillows, the front desk said they were out of pillows. Unbelievable. Hotel is in need for some major upgrades.

Overbooked the rooms and any rooms available were trashed by another group that stayed there. Front desk was overwhelmed but did their best to maintain professional even without the staffing. Was not refunded for my reservation that got cancelled on the hotels and end.

The hotel and room was nice. Our problem was we couldn’t get room cleaned and towels exchanged. I asked the manager of the day for some more towels and she was rude, and told me I had to carry our dirty towels to the dirty laundry room to exchange towels and sent a employee with me that showed me which bin to put dirty towels lol. And she grumbled the entire time . No accommodating at all. If I had a manager act that unprofessional for my business, she would be terminated.

First checking in the staff was so unprofessional. I was also traveling alone and the woman who checked me in announced my room number loudly in a lobby full of people. That is such an unsafe thing to do. The property itself is so outdated. The carpet in my room was dirty and had sticky stuff on it. The tub was dirty. The couch in the room was also stained and dirty. It was loud. The tub, the sink, and the toilet all had drainage issues. I just did not like this hotel at all. I will NOT be booking this place again. From the staff to the cleanliness of the room, just overall disappointing.

The lighting was so dim in the bathroom I couldn't apply makeup. There was no light by the full-length mirror so I couldn't inspect my outfit. There was a huge reddish-brown stain on the carpet in the entrance area. TV channels were limited with no streaming services or movies for rent. When I checked in, one of two staff members was eating a full meal at the desk.

The hotel is run down, many repairs are needed, the carpets are damp, and the rooms smell badly like mildew. The pool was very dirty and the second day it was closed entirely.

Fantastic place- great location, great accommodations and fantastic staff, night and day. I have to come to Augusta several times a month and this has been the best experience out of all. And they don’t jack up the prices like Hampton & other chains do.

My booking was canceled by the property without anyone notifying me. I found it out only after arriving at the property. And I was already charged for the stay. I had to get Expedia to change my booking to a different hotel.

bathroom was dirty fridge had food left in there there were roaches staff weren’t the most friendly ( stated that it had been a long day) wasn’t very solution based he just kept saying what he can’t do to fix the or concerns

I did not like the entertainment aspect of the room. -Basic cable - zero options to stream, synce devices to tv, couldn’t screen mirror. DEFINITELY NEEDS TV/ENTERTAINMENT UPGRADE

Pool was little too small Other then that it was great And free breakfast was great

The location

We paid way too much for The TV not to work and there was a roach on the ceiling that we had to take care of.

Room poorly designed: Lighting was bad, hard to regulate temperature in room, and toilet was extremely low to the ground.

Staff were amazing- welcoming, helpful, attentive. Hotel common areas and hallways clean, not stinky. Quiet, even on a Friday night.
