    I’ve stayed at other La Quinta locations that were much better maintained and felt significantly safer. The breakfast was also underwhelming, although there are nearby diners like Denny’s and IHOP within walking distance, which was one of the few positives.

    The room smelled of marijuana and cigarette smoke. At the front desk, they refused to switch my room and were unable to issue a refund. I do not recommend this as a family hotel; for that price, I would have looked elsewhere. It was a terrible experience—I would not book here again.

    The pool area was just as bad. The walls around the pool were covered in what appeared to be black mold or heavy dirt. It looked so unsanitary that we would never consider swimming in it. To make matters worse, the room did not even include basic amenities like a fridge or microwave. The photos on Expedia were extremely misleading & looked nothing like the actual property or room we were given. What made the experience even more frustrating was the complete lack of customer service afterward. I contacted Expedia during the stay to ask if anything could be done because the conditions were so unacceptable. I was told they attempted to contact the hotel but could only leave a message. I asked for the complaint to be escalated or expedited, but nothing was ever done. I never received any follow-up from Expedia, & since we had already checked in, there was no meaningful assistance offered at all despite the condition of the hotel. Overall, this hotel was dirty, poorly maintained, falsely advertised, & neither the hotel nor Expedia provided proper customer service to resolve the issue. I

    The room needs a lot of maintenance. The bed needs to repaired or replaced. It was very very noisy. There was live bug in the bed we had to kill. The rest room needs a.new door. It has large holes on the inside. The front door needs some weather stripping. The room was very noisy. The water facet needs to be replaced or repaired. Not pleased at all with this stay??

    Our recent stay at this property was deeply concerning, raising immediate alarms regarding personal safety, basic hygiene, and structural security. The check-in process was exceptionally slow, and the front desk staff was unprofessional. While my family waited in the lobby, the environment became hostile due to a major disturbance involving individuals shouting and attempting to escape from nearby rooms. This lack of security extended to the exterior premises, where active solicitation was occurring in the parking lot, and multiple guest room doors showed clear signs of forced entry with severely splintered doorframes. The room itself was entirely uninhabitable,it was thick with dust and experiencing extreme heat that quickly caused my son to feel nauseous. Upon inspection, the wall-mounted air conditioning unit was completely destroyed and inoperable. Furthermore, the property maintenance was unacceptable, featuring heavily chipped bathroom tiles, peeling caulking, and furniture with damage that appeared to be bullet holes. We felt physically unsafe and could not remain on the property. I strongly advise families to avoid this establishment until management addresses these critical safety and maintenance failures.

    After a long(700 mile) drive I chose La Quinta as it has been out 'go to' motel for years.Thw facility was okay but definitely showing its age. One reason we have often stayed at La Wuintasbwas the nice breakfast. This one stated 'hot breakfast '. Well hot I guess meant a do it yourself waffle and a cold hard boiltegg. I was very disappointed.

    We reserved this place and decided to relocate to another hotel. The attendant was nice and not sure what control he has over the hotel but the place was bad. Homeless people and drug addicts walking all around the parking lot. It’s right off the freeway which doesn’t help. People were partying in nearby rooms the shower water came out dark brown. Not ideal for families even for a short stay.

    Staff was welcoming but bathroom counters and sink were dirty upon entering the room bathroom kinda run down. Issues with the tv but I was too tired to bother to ask the front desk bed was comfortable and sheets were fresh daily. Pool was also out of service which was a bummer, and due to that fact I didn’t even go around it so I cant comment on it any further. Breakfast offered was a decent variety pretty standard continental breakfast. Overall decent for the price though in any other circumstance I would have sucked it up and stayed in a nicer hotel

    The hotel is in a area with alot of homeless, the first room we entered was full of bugs in the restroom so we were given another room and it didnt have bugs but was old and tub looked dirty. The towels and bedding have stains. The people were nice but I wouldnt recommend this hotel.

    Absolutely disgusting. This may have been the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The room smelled funny, it was supposed to be a smoke free room, but someone definitely smoked in there.in the past. There was mold in the bathroom betwern the tiles. And don't get me started on the pool. My son was so disappointed in how nasty the pool looked. I did not allow him to use the pool, I was afraid he would get a brain eating amoeba. It was terrifying.

    The bathroom was the size of my washing closet. Was barely big enough for my son to use toilet with door closed cuz it was so small. It had 2 regular chairs with no table. The alarm clock plug was broke so clock didnt work. The beds was the most uncomfortable beds I have EVER slept on. Luckily we were only there for one night. The pictures are definitely different then the rooms themselve. I wish I had taken pictures but I was there for a reason so I got too busy to do it.

    Room wasn’t the worst but not the best either, the bed was comfortable but the fine growth of mildew in the shower was off putting. The breakfast was pretty low quality but the entire stay was quite economical. The neighbor’s loud 4:30am phone chat outside our room was annoying but I can only assume that she didn’t wake up the kids by having the call outside her room.

    The rooms are very dated and in need of an update. the tub is a fit over tub so when you get out, the bottom of the tub is about 3 inches higher than the floor which we found to be a fall issue.

    The bath towel had a hole in it, the shower water pressure was terrible and the water was cold. The floor was dirty and some kind of glue substance starting oozing from the floors (we were on floor 3). We checked out early and asked if we could get any compensation for the issues and the woman at the front desk was rude

    I was in a room converted to disabled. It had a tub/shower. 😢 It did have good hand rails, but I gave a traumatic brain injury and numb foot so it is just not a good fit for me. Also, toilet was fitted with a raised removable handicap piece. Not a true handicap room.

    I as the clerk what it was for and said for anything i purchased at the hotel which they have nothing. I think that is my last stay. There needs allot of upgrades that need to be done on the roooms. The bathroom was unsat. Bathroom door had rot on the bottom. Bathtub is old and needs attention.

    Breakfast was ok staff was horrible they lied so we could not extend out reservation, then when we upgraded to the suite, which is the best room available it was dusty and the staff lied about the conditioner original room is left in and would no longer extend our reservation, even though we had insurance in the room and the suite

    Very tight quarters in room w/tub and toilet. One bed was extremely squeaky and made loud creaking sounds when simply turning over in the bed. Comfort wise the mattress /pillows were satisfactory. TV was good, remote worked. Nice to have microwave and fridge in room. Breakfast was somewhat sparse and ended promptly at 9:00. Coffee unavailable after that except in room single cup coffeemaker.

    Although check-in was pretty straightforward, the front desk person acted as if they couldn’t be bothered. The bed was fairly comfortable, and I liked how the room had a mini fridge, but the bathroom needs major work. The bathtub is old and not very clean. There was a lot of banging from adjacent rooms and from other folks hanging around that I decided to leave in the middle of the night.

    There were several problems with the room. The sink drain plug was broken so the sink would not hold water. I needed to hand wash a few items of clothes, but this was not possible. Then I tried to wash them in the tub, but the shower kept leaking onto my head sinch the shower shut-off valve was broken. This room needs some work.

    Needed a place to stay after a long drive, this place seemed fine at first. Checked in at around 10ish at night. Took a while to even get checked in, there was one person in front of us. Got our room key, got to the room and the key didn’t even work! Went back to lobby and turns out there were other people who had non working keys. Unlucky for them, but we decided to just go somewhere else, sketchy spot, doesn’t seem the cleanest…

    Rooms smelled clean , but sheets and towels only looked clean. Most had makeup , blood or other items on them. Sheets similar. We were road tripping so we had our own blankets and pillows and used them after checking and stripping the beds to the bottom sheet only. Front desk person was kind and patient. It was pet friendly but dogs were aloud to bark ALL night long. This is not a business friendly workspace.

    The staff was the best part of this stay. The room looked clean when I first got in but after being there I started seeing just how superficial the cleaning job had been. The bathtub had rust around the drain and the floors were clean in the middle of the walkway around the bed but really dirty along the walls. I felt down right lucky there was a box of tissues in the room.

    Room 141 the toilet didn’t flush an the sink was broke, they switched us to room 149 which had roaches an we ended up in 229 which wasn’t bad but I bought my own cleaning supplies, shower liner an mat for the floor an only stayed here for one day. Never Again

    I stayed here one night no issues, left went to whiskey flats k worked three days and came back thru. So I came back to this hotel. Checked in , upon check in . A Indian woman with a one year old baby came in to check if there was a room. The “Indian lady at desk” jacked up the price on the lady with baby” to 89.00 plus a 100 deposit. ( I payed 59.00. ) it was cold . As the lady left, the Indian clerk said” we don’t take outsiders”! I said what’s that? ‘ she said homeless. I said who are you to determined that and judge her with a baby? Who are you to judge her? She said it’s the hotels policy. I will never again stay at a la Quinta. So, based on how you look and ethnic status you are either accepted or not. Bakers field California. You sent this woman and her baby out to the cold . Karma prevails and evil people do exist. Shame on La Quinta !!!

    I never complain or say anything, i just let it go and move on, but my family and i have never been so ready to get out of a hotel room in our lives. Truly the worst room I have ever stayed in. I was not greeted kindly upon check in but ignored for a minute. I did online check in for nothing i guess. And then theres the room. Disgusting doesn’t cover it. Rundown doesnt come close. It seems all the cleaner does is make the bed and put out new towels. Hair was everwhere. White liquid splattered on floor length mirror. My mind was blown that my family of 4 was given TWO towels to shower with. 2 total. Lastly, the tv turned on, but the “cable” box didnt work. So we watched tv on our phones. The stay was worth not even half of what we paid. I was grossed out just being in there. Awful and so disappointing after a long drive. I truly thought La Quintas were supposed to be nice but definitely wont be booking one again.

    Room was old. No USB ports. Outlets were so old I couldn't plug in a block to charge my phone. Shower was good especially because I do not like really hot showers. Hot water never wasn't overly hot. No hand wash clothes. But if all you want is a bed and a pillow, it was great! Bed was not hard or too soft and pillows were all different thickness and texture.

    I left within 45mins of checking in with the front desk as I had to call around and book another hotel room which was another 15mins away after making a 2 and a half hour drive with children. I made sure front desk knew I was leaving and was leaving the keys in the room.

    Breakfast consisted of waffles boiled eggs cereal bread items such as toast bagels mini muffins. Coffee juice and milk that had been poured into a pitcher. It was OK. Displayed poorly but it worked i guess. Service from the first man i spoke to was extremely poor. We drove from out of state and was told we would be charged 33.00 to check in a couple hours early. So we waited. Went back still before 3pm and the nicest lady checked us in with no extra fees. The room was sub par. Mold in the bathroom shower and ceiling. The TV wouldnt work. Beds not comfy and mattresses were stained. Will not stay there again. The only nice thing about the place was the nice young lady at the desk

    Neighborhood is sketchy a few men on bikes riding around hotel, hoodies, low riding ,smoking. Property has had better days. Air/heat system not completly attached to exterior wall cold and noise came in freely. Door of bathroom and closet were very nasty.. tv wasn't working asked to fix Nothing. alarm going off in the adjacent unoccupied room until 2am, notified office 3 times. trucks raving engine for a long time outside. I fell asleep around 3-3:30am from just being exhausted. Not a good experience. Not good for "normal" life partern.

    I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding my recent stay at your hotel from 11/05 to 11/07. My experience fell far below reasonable expectations for hospitality, safety, and basic comfort. I have outlined the numerous issues I encountered below. Room Amenities and Condition: The room was missing basic amenities that were advertised or are standard, specifically a refrigerator and microwave. The furniture in the room was sparse and inadequate. Multiple electrical outlets in the room were non-functional, creating a significant inconvenience for charging essential devices. The bathroom shower contained significant mildew and mold growth, which is a health and cleanliness concern. Service and Privacy Issues: I requested and paid for a refrigerator to be added to the room. When it was delivered, it was malfunctioning and froze all of my perishable food items, rendering them unusable. On 11/06, the maid service entered my room without my prior request or consent, which was a violation of my privacy. My sleep was severely disrupted by noisy neighbors on multiple nights, with no apparent intervention from hotel staff. Most alarmingly, during my stay, my vehicle was vandalized while parked in your hotel parking lot. The security of the parking lot was compromised, as there was a significant and persistent presence of homeless and loitering at the breakfast bar. Given these failures, I believe a significant refund is warranted.

    When we tried to clarify the misunderstanding and even finally offered to pay the additional fees, the manager became rude and dismissive, calling us dishonest. When we questioned the rude behavior, the manager refused to provide service, even though it was late at night and we were traveling with our toddler and the room was booked and paid through expedia. This experience was deeply upsetting and left us without accommodation after paying in full. I respectfully request a full refund and that this matter be reviewed with La Quinta management to prevent similar incidents in the future. Thank you for your prompt attention to this serious issue.

    This was the worst place ever roaches all over the room, my daughter was in the hospital by there and my husband and 3 kids needed somewhere to sleep while I was at the hospital with our daughter. They were in the room for 5 minutes and had to leave immediately due to the roaches and they refused to refund us the money for the room and were rude about it. They wanted to switch them to a different room but if one room has roaches they all do and with special needs kids and my husband having medical issues they can not be around that. We live in WA and my husband had to go sit in the parking lot of the kern medical center with our 3 kids until my daughter was released at 7am. I called the to talk to the manager and was told they werent there they would be back in a hour and they would call me and I never got a call back. I will be contacting the bakersfield health department tomorrow. DO NOT STAY HERE

    The hotel was in okay condition, not great. The building I was put in did not have a working elevator, I was told this on arrival and I should have asked for another room. I did not feel safe going out after dark due to the homeless population. The room I was put in had a corner that was empty where I assume a table should be since there was a chair there. The bed in the room was in okay condition, I slept well. The tub was outdated and needed a good cleaning. Thankfully the air unit worked great.

    Jamas se queden en este hotel fue horrible mi experiencia en todo sentido la limpieza fue lo peor cucarachas comida podrida de otros inquilinos la habitacion super apestosa a humedad y suciedad el desayuno muy pobre solo un cerealito cafe y pan y aunque nos cambiaron de habitacion no hubo mucha diferencia mal en todo sentido homeless afuera y para acabarla no puedes comunicarte con algun gerente.

    The room is not sound proofed well. Even though our room was near the rear of the property (far from the ice machine), we could hear the roar of the freeway several hundred feet away all night. We could hear anyone passing by our door, especially if pushing a cart over the slip free plates for the handicapped rooms next door.

    Homeless people all around, cockroaches in the room, room smelled like pee, paint chipping, bathtub leaking and the drain plug didnt work. Awful experience i had to check out early

    She was engaging, easy to talk to and very clear with the process. Room was clean, my wife loved the Dove toiletries, there were signs stating they were under renovation, the breakfast area was clean and provided a yummy start to the day; the only down side was that the pool was closed.

    Temps in Bakersfield over 104° and the AC in our room did not work. Room had an odd odor. Found that there was some water saturation and damage of floor in bathroom. Mildew odor. Has to be heavy mold damage. Also tiny roach like bugs from cracks in tile in bathroom and vanity area around sink. Water oozed up from under flooring when stepped up on. Remote for TV didn't work, worked intermittently. Alarm clock went off at 4 AM, turned off. Went off every 20 minutes. Couldn't get it unplugged! Think I got three hours of uninterrupted sleep then little stints of 15 minutes there. Rough driving home. We were unable to get breakfast, not even coffee. Packed with people from open (7 AM) until at least 9:15 and we had to leave and get on the road. At checkout the clerk was apologetic but made excuse that owner recently purchased and was making repairs. Room 106 should not be given out until it is completely scrapped and repaired. Really disappointed.

    The area around the hotel is very dirty. The doors in the room to the rooms to any section of the building show many points bad paint jobs and poorly done overhalls. The room was poorly lit. The freezer section was so frost ridden it was hard to close the door. The bed linens had tried paint on it and you could see bad repaints all over the room on tiles etc. Very poor from other la quintas we have stayed at.

    This property needs a renovation. This is nothing like other la quinta s I have visited so far. Room was not that good. In breakfast area roaches noticed inside the trays. Staffs were good and helpful.

    Staff was excellent. Professional and very friendly and helpful. But in a bit of a less desirable area and the building was under renovation. Worked out perfectly for me, but some might not like the area or the condition of the building and rooms. The room was clean, but in need of some repairs.
