Reviews
The hotel has a great location in Beverly Hills and friendly staff, but there are issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and noise. Some guests have reported problems with parking fees and unhelpful front desk staff.
- Great location in Beverly Hills
- Friendly staff
- Cleanliness and maintenance issues
- Noise and disturbances

No hooks in bathroom for towels. No water or ice machines. Removable shower arm did not work. Lights were too low for restroom. Poor water pressure. Carpets could use a clean. Pool didn’t appear to be cleaned daily, but the pool side amenities were nice. For the price I paid , parking could have been included.

Such a cute hotel in a fantastic location! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Always a good deal and up to par
- 4.5/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool area was nice, clean, and the water temperature was perfect and had a fireplace for nighttime lounging by the pool. The room was comfortable.

I used to stay here years ago it was great. New owners horrible smell everywhere like cheap gross perfume. Horrible pillows Ac doesn’t work tried 3 rooms then had to get a refund and leave go to the Beverly hillls hotel instead. So sad such a disappointment.
- 3/5
The hotel is OK for the price, but we experienced some very strange inconsistencies. First, when checking in, the front desk agent insisted our room had two twin beds, even though my Expedia booking specified two double beds. However, when we got to the room, they actually were two double beds, which was just confusing. Second, Expedia and all online listings state checkout is at noon, but housekeeping knocked on our door at around 11:15 AM claiming checkout was at 11:00 AM. They ultimately let us stay until noon, but it was disruptive. As for other negatives, the area behind the bed was incredibly dusty and looked like it had never been cleaned. The bathroom also had a noticeable sewage smell, and the water pressure in the shower was low. It is a decent budget option, but the management needs to fix these communication and cleanliness issues.

The guy was really rude and he told us to check out was at 11 but it was at 12 and he was just being really weird in the beginning greeted us and she was really really nice. Also, when I called him in the morning for a charge on my card and he was being really rude about it
- 1/5
Although the property was very clean, this review is based solely on staff. Upon arrival, my credit card, used to reserve the room was charged even before arriving. I asked why, and was informed it’s their new system. My intention was to pay cash for my stay. The in-room safe broke with our belongings locked inside, and staff waited to call for service. Room had a leak and staff refused to give me their names when I informed I was going to send a letter.
- 5/5
Very convenient location and very friendly staff who made me feel at home.
- 5/5
Excellent experience as always.
- 5/5
The location was excellent, you could walk to most places. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They allowed me to check in early, which made a huge difference.. None
- 3/5
When I requested a room change, the process felt odd because the receptionist wanted me to fully check out and pay another deposit. Thankfully, another staff member stepped in and helped resolve the situation professionally. Parking is $50 and there’s additional charges this hotel charges.
- 5/5
The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and the location is perfect!

Great location, clean room, nice and helpful staff.

Beautiful boutique hotel within walking distance of the shops on Rodeo Drive! Quiet luxury, off-street parking, excellent staff, and comfortable, well-appointed rooms! The bed was very comfortable, too! While the famous brands are close by, The Mosaic should be at the top of your list!
- 5/5
The rooms were very nice and the beds were very comfortable.
- 5/5
This hotel is lovely. It’s clean and a perfect location. All of the staff are fantastic but Phillipa at the front desk is outstanding.Shes very friendly, professional & welcoming. She goes above & beyond to meet all the guests needs. I can’t wait till my next stay.
- 4.5/5
Bob the bartender was a great guy ! Made it an enjoyable stay. Cynthia on reception also very friendly and welcoming. Was a bit noisy in the morning , traffic and someone using a drill at 6:30 am one morning.

Hotel smelled like mold, room was so dirty-too dirty to stay in. I was there for about 5 minutes and left to a different hotel immediately. Walls were filthy, bed had a weird red-brown stain, furniture was stained and it peeling, wall had awful patch work, baseboards were soooo gross. I never leave negative reviews but this was honestly the worst room I’ve ever set foot in.
- 5/5
The staff were excellent. Regardless of who we encountered, they were very friendly and helpful. Bob, the bartender was wonderful. The room was quiet and comfortable. The location was great. There was no restaurant service after noon which was inconvenient.
- 2.5/5
Location and staff The room was just ok. The gym was an excuse for a gym and had barely any equipment

This was my second stay at the Mosaic. I loved the place and the staff. The breakfast was delicious too. Highly recommend.
- 4/5
Perfect location! Great shower and wonderful beds. The staff is awesome, very friendly and welcoming(particularly Bob and Philipa). We even booked the block of rooms for our daughter's wedding last year at Mosaic. There are new owners and we are not happy with some of the changes. These may be small things, but they do make the stay more enjoyable. No more coffee and BH newspaper in the lobby in the morning. No more free bottled water and LA magazine in the room.

Great location, very safe. The staff was extremely helpful.
- 4/5
Housekeeping was impeccable. They always did a great job and worked with us to come after we leave the hotel room. The front desk is great for receiving packages and the rooms were really clean. The only thing I didn't like was 1) Thin walls? The room above us was constantly making noise even with different tenants (we stayed a week). You could hear their heavy steps and constant walking. You can hear the outside cleaning trucks/activity really loudly on some days. and 2) You can smell sewage intermittently when there's lots of usage of the sink/flushing.
- 5/5
Accidentally was woken up at 3:30 Am by mistaken waken up call not requested - apologies were made Couldn’t get back to bed - exhausted as a result that day

It was a little smelly
- 1/5
We arrived late at night, and the reception area was very dark with barely any lighting. I was asked to sign paperwork that I could not even read properly because of how dark it was. Our room was on the third floor, but we had to go to the second floor, walk to a different building, and then go upstairs with all of our bags. There was no one available to help us. When we finally got to the room, it smelled horrible. It was definitely not worth the money we paid. Since it was so late at night, we had no choice but to stay. On top of that, I was charged again for a room I had already paid for. I would not recommend staying here.

Great location - tons of places in Beverly Hills to walk to for coffee, food and shopping. The hotel is tucked away on a quiet street so there isn't too much traffic noise. The lift did not work the last morning I was there but it was quickly fixed. My room faced the pool and the music in the evening played until 11pm and was too loud. I wish the music could be kept at a minimum. There is no need to start playing music at 8am. I would come back again but would ask for a room facing the street instead.

I placed out of town guests at the Mosaic several times. It’s a small, very private, very clean hotel, at a great location, and reasonably priced. I heard nothing but praise from my guests.
- 4/5
Very kind front desk.
- 4/5
Good value and convenient location. Rooms are comfy and clean. The only red flag with my stay is the additional fee of $30 for the in-room use of wi-fi. Though it's a detail mentioned in the listing during booking, it's not pointed out during registration as an additional cost like the additional cost for parking. If you plan to park here and use their wi-fi, plan on an additional fee of $80/night for your stay.
- 5/5
Clean room on a quiet and safe street.
- 1/5
The room has carpet and it stinks
- 3/5
The room was comfortable. The common areas were not kept up. Can use new carpeting.
- 5/5
Great staff, convenient location. Thank you
- 5/5
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. The staff was warm, attentive, and consistently helpful without ever feeling intrusive. From check-in to checkout, everything felt smooth and welcoming. I’d happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great hotel experience.
- 5/5
Great customer service
- 5/5
Perfect Hotel! Big clean rooms, well furnitured. Very good breakfast. Really nice personal; Philippa and Jessica in the reception are helpful and nice.
- 5/5
Great location, value and sweet staff, especially Daniel and Bob.
- 5/5
All good. Housekeeper was especially sweet
- 4/5
Everything was great only thing was that there were a few termites in one of the sofas and the bed smelled weird
- 5/5
Cute, unique hotel in a great location, walkable to all the great shopping, parking also easy!
- 4/5
The place is fantastic. The staff are all wonderful the In-N-Out and low-key nature of the hotel, which allows one to just freely come and go. No inconvenience is great however, I think what would make it even better is if for people spending the money on a room who have a car they shouldn’t have to pay for parking that’s my feeling and also the beds were a little too soft but other than that it’s a great place. It’s cute. It’s very quaint and right in the heart of Beverly Hills and you can walk around it’s safe. It’s nice. I highly recommend it.
- 5/5
Clean room and front desk service was attentive and very courteous.
- 5/5
Only con would be the air con sounds like a helicopter when switching it off, but only lasts a few minutes and stop. But it did go off a couple times late at night, im assuming it could have been from other rooms turning off their units.
- 5/5
Friendly nice staff. Clean room. Good location
- 5/5
Was a good hotel. The parking was tight but good. Very quiet and convenient
- 4/5
Was nice but elevator makes me uncomfortable smells like burnt
- 4/5
Good location to Rideo Drive and Century City
- 5/5
Excellent property
- 4/5
Great
- 5/5
A very nice hotel with a beautiful pool area. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating.
- 5/5
Walkable distance to rodeo street. Very friendly staff. Room is clean. I’ll come back when I’m in town next time.
- 4/5
The room was very clean, comfortable and cozy however, being next to the stairwell made it a very noisy spot due to the door leading into the stairwell being repeatedly slammed throughout the night and early morning. The bathroom was also clean and lovely but it's door was a big negative. The door seemed to be too big for the frame. Force was needed to pull the door open and to push it close. The shower was modern and stylish with it's single non-adjustable glass partition. The only problem was that the partition is too short lengthwise to prevent the shower stream from spraying water outside of the shower and onto the bathroom floor. I pre-placed towels down before each shower to avoid soaking the floor. The pool was lovely especially at night- the fire pit is a nice touch. Despite these few issues, the Mosaic is a solid, respectable hotel and I would stay there again as well as recommend it to others.
- 4/5
Our housekeeper Maria, did an amazing job cleaning our room and was quick and efficient. I went to check out and wanted to leave them both a big tip and asked to break a big bill but the hotel is cash free and told they could not That was a bit upsettingas I want to take care of the staff I had a procedure and unable to go get change elsewhere. We loved that Wholefoods was nearby and delivery was close for restaurants and groceries.
- 4/5
Good overall
- 5/5
I chose the Mosaic Hotel in Beverly Hills for its convenient location, which it provided to me during my stay. Even though my trip was short, I could walk to a nearby restaurant and pharmacy where i was able to eat and purchase a few items i needed while there. The staff at the Mosaic Hotel went above and beyond in their customer service during my stay. Anytime i needed anything, they were there and ready to ensure I got it. I could maneuver around the area without a rental car during my short stay and have all i needed. I even found the taxi service to be excellent! My trip could not have gone better, and it always starts with your home away from home. I highly recommend the Mosaic Hotel in Beverly Hills. I will return one day in the future.
- 5/5
Staff is incredibly experienced and friendly. Wonderful family atmosphere. Feels nice when away on business. A place you want to come back to again and again.
- 5/5
If you have business or medical reasons to be in Beverly Hills, this is the place to stay. It is a boutique property, and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. They served wonderful food, but only until noon as their formerly quite well known restaurant is no longer open later. My grandkids loved the pool.
- 2/5
Very loud AC, bugs in the sink, stains on the couch. No breakfast available
- 3/5
Quick stay on a business trip. Got in at 11pm. Nice female associate at the front desk. This location is convenient and it’s easy to walk to coffee and a few restaurants. Parking was $57 a night. The room was clean but smelled a funky - overwhelming perfume from cleaning products used. I appreciated that the front desk helped me print 2 documents I needed and they gave me late checkout. There was a male front desk associate who I found to be very rude. He might have been from another country but he continued his personal conversation in front of me when I was attempting to ask for assistance at the front desk. He really didn’t have any customer service skills or general awareness of how to communicate with a guest. This was off putting. The bed was comfortable. I don’t think I’d stay here again as there was nothing remarkable about the hotel. It’s a bit run down and the carpet and floors and paint need to be refreshed. That said, for 1 night it was ok.
- 5/5
Very close to Rodeo Drive. Easy parking. Great guest services and safe.
- 5/5
Great!!
- 4/5
The Mosaic feels like home. Warm, helpful staff who have all been there a long time with great bar, room service and pool… big hotel amenities in a boutique hotel. The rooms could use some sprucing up here and there but the service makes up for it. Central location is unparalleled.
- 2/5
You can hear everything your neighbors are doing. My next door neighbor had TV on all night, and when it was finally turned off I could hear my upstairs neighbors walking. Restroom also had a very weird smell.
- 5/5
My wife and I have stated this property a couple times now. We like it proximity to Beverly Hills and walkable. It is so many restaurants and shops. We also feel that it’s usually pretty reasonably priced considering what a lot of the other hotels in the area charge.
- 5/5
Amazing place
- 4/5
Very pleasant staff, only thing was the coffee espresso machine in the room didn’t work!
- 3/5
The bedding and towels had stains. Asked for fresh towels but they still had stains. They need better cleaning agents or something. Room was dusty and there was actually a glob of dust on the bed from the vent that was next to it. Should clean out their vents. Fees are also exorbant but its LA so used to it.
- 5/5
An excellent facility and staff. Safe area and convenient. I will definitely return.
- 2/5
We have stayed here many times and have been happy but were very disappointed this time.
- 3/5
The property is very nice and was a last minute splurge. I picked the wrong day as the hot water heater was not working and the central ac/heat unit was extremely loud and I could not sleep with it going off every few minutes. I was too tired to run downstairs to request a room change. I said something to the woman at the desk while checking out and she had very much of a “it’s a you not me” attitude. The rest of the staff was fantastic! Additionally, if a hotel is not sold out please do not fill the rooms near the elevator first. It was nice to have a last minute treat but I hope the hotel staff will be understanding of these issues in the future.
- 4/5
Great neighborhood though and convenient for meetings in Bev Hills and Century City.
- 5/5
Nice location
- 5/5
Solid place and conveniently located
- 3/5
I have to say, first time I am this conflicted about a hotel. The staff was nice, professional and helpful (from the front desk to the cleaning team). The location is convenient, quite close to Beverly Hills, Rodeo driving. Parking was also quite easy, not a simple task in LA. Unfortunately the room I was given seemed out of the Jurassic, and after comparing with the colleague that was with me, I discovered that it was also one of a kind... not sure why that room was even in the hotel still, but definitely downgraded tremendously my experience. It was outdated, small, falling apart.
- 3/5
It was a great location, my daughter was running LA marathon and it was a perfect location and they let me keep the car in a parking lot after I checked out and was waiting for my daughter to finish the marathon. It was clean but had a weird smell in a room. Not sure what that was and a toilet was not attached to the floor and was shaking, paying $400, it did feel like a motel 6 after all.
- 2/5
Unfortunately the whole stay was a disappointment! I reserved a room with 2 beds. The hotel couldn’t honor the reservation and provided a 1 bed hotel room, didn’t compensate me for the inconvenience AND my call to the manager was never returned. Just disappointing
- 1/5
I arrived at 10pm to find that the hotel was overbooked and could not honor my reservation. They attempted to put me at a sister property which I declined after the front desk attendant grimaced and said he wouldn’t recommend it.
- 4/5
The staff were all very friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the central location of the hotel as it was easy to walk around and safe.
- 5/5
Great hotel, friendly staff!
- 5/5
My go to LA stay
- 5/5
Amazing stay. So close to everything and everything you want from a personable boutique hotel.
- 5/5
Great place
- 5/5
Really nice
- 4/5
It’s very convenient for my purposes
- 5/5
The staff(s) are always very professional and pleasant..
- 5/5
Property is very nice the staff is very accommodating and helpful. Everyone was very pleasant. Great location in Beverly Hills. This will be our place to stay in Beverly Hills from now on. Thank you
- 4/5
The room desired to be cleaner
- 5/5
Nice
- 2/5
Most of the staff were wonderful. The downstairs and bar area are clean and lovely. The rooms are clean but there is an odd smell. HOWEVER, my house burned down with the Palisades Fire and I asked one of the staff members if I would be charged all the 3 nights I booked if I left with family to take us in. I was assured by the night person with whom I checked in, it would be fine. The next night an another man was at the desk. He refused to credit me the second night though I left because my roll away had been in the room until 6:05. He was insulting. Everyone else was kind and helpful. The man at the bar actually made me soup after hours the first night. For them I was grateful, but I won 't stay there again or recommend. So rude in such a tragedy.
- 5/5
I always stay here
- 4/5
Nice
- 5/5
The day manager was SO kind
- 5/5
In addition to the original booking fee, after checking out of the hotel, I found that there were some charges, I did not know what those charges included, and did not mention them when I checked in, so I did not enjoy any extra services, it is a pity. Later, I re-viewed the app for booking, and in addition to the last step of payment, the following lines mentioned the money, but I was not clear what the specific purpose was. The hotel has since refunded the money, which I am glad to see and hope to mention such charges and services in an obvious place. All the best and a happy New Year.
- 4/5
Very nice hotel, professional staff.
- 4/5
Second time staying here. Would stay again.
- 5/5
It’s the perfect spot to stay in Beverly Hills, a short walk to all the action but far enough away to feel private & relaxed. The staff is great too. I’ve stayed 3 separate times and I always recommend it.
- 2/5
Bare bones service except for evening and morning servers (bar and breakfast). Did not receive Gold member amenities, including room upgrade (although many room options were available). Should have received cocktail vouchers but only offered glass of red or white wine. Front desk unhelpful and apathetic, although night clerk did stop upstairs guests from making horrendous noise late at night. Did not feel welcoming. Would never stay again.
- 5/5
Beautiful hidden gem.
- 5/5
Very clean, super friendly staff
- 4/5
Our room was nice if a bit worn. Tastefully decorated and spacious (3rd floor) but a bit worn. Also there was a hair in the sink and the chair had stains. Still staff was friendly and attentive and glass of wine one arrival and decent coffee in the morning was a nice touch. Lovely walk through Beverly Hills to Century City mall (<20 min walk)
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Great hidden gem with everything you need to have an enjoyable stay in Beverly Hills. Close enough to walk to most attractions.
- 5/5
It close to my doctor
- 5/5
Very good and welcoming staff.
- 4/5
No hot water in the morning. Everything else was great
- 4/5
It was nice the only thing is we were charged for parking additional but we’re staying there first time I pay for that at a place I’m staying at . That’s all
- 5/5
2nd time staying here, convenient to my office plus very safe and comfortable for a reasonable price
- 5/5
Love that they have free bikes for use
- 5/5
Excellent staff
- 2/5
The rooms were outdated and old. The shutters were broken and wouldn’t stay open. The vents were dirty and loud. The room smelled musty. I wouldn’t recommend for the price you pay for a night’s stay.
- 5/5
Phillipa was so nice and helpful but the cost for early check in was too much.
- 5/5
Super clean property. Ample parking and most of the staff is attentive and friendly. Very, very well located and close to everything!
- 2/5
This property has a very bad odor. It is musty and smells like a cross between moth balls and wet dog. The location is amazing and the staff was very accommodating. The rooms have carpet that needs to be replaced.
- 2/5
Provide wrong room number while in check-in. There was a cockroach in the bath room but staff did not do much about it. Room service did not come with napkins and straws. Housekeeping start before we even check out. Kind of terrible experience. However, the faculty and area it self was very nice.
- 1/5
Will not ever book there again
- 5/5
Perfect boutique hotel with wonderful staff.
- 4/5
Great location
- 4/5
It is a cute little boutique experience. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. Daily complimentary bottled water in rooms, and bicycles to use. Negatives: No security locks on the doors, and my room door was off the hinge; someone could peek in; my next room also had a door issue. That could have happened anywhere, the problem is that they knew about it and still put someone in that room. Also, for a four-star hotel, there were no toiletries aside from lotion.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 4/5
great place!
- 5/5
Easy check in, self parking, truly enjoyed having drinks by the pool!
- 4/5
I had trouble sleeping due to the light outside my room. The window only had shutters, no black out curtain, and the light outside did not turn off. (was sort of a porch light right outside the window)
- 5/5
Love this hotel ! The best post surgery recovery stay . Highly recommend
- 5/5
Lovely hotel
- 1/5
Absolutely horrible. This is one of the worst hotels I have ever been stayed at. Worst than one star motel. The stinks of cigarettes even on the bed sheets. The front ladies were nice but when I asked them they need to change our room due to horrible smell they said it’s completely full and I demanded to talk to manager. Manger didn’t even bother to call and front staff told us they won’t charge us for parking we had no choice and it’s 11pm!! Instead of refund or anything they think for what ever reason not charging you for 50$ parking fee for a 400$ room they sold us by lying is gonna fix everything. All description they have at hotels.com is complete BS, Both sink and bath tub was clogged the room was so bad with cigarette smell we had to open the windows all night and left the room multiple times to be able to breath. I can’t believe I even paid extra for corner room, it’s all lies! Do not stay at this hotel if you go to one star motel you probably have a better chance to get a non smoking and clean room.
- 5/5
The hotel is walking distance from Rodeo Drive and located in an adorable residential street. The rooms are clean and offer a modern chic decoration. The hotel has a pool, a small restaurant and a bar, as well as parking on location. I am already planning to come back! See you soon!
- 3/5
Our room for four guests was incredibly small - would have been much better suited for two. Carpets were stained and not clean and the furniture was all banged up. We had a view of the alley only. However, the location was great as it was within walking distance of the shops of Beverly Hills.
- 5/5
small cozy easy access
- 5/5
No complaints!
- 5/5
First time at this property and we were very pleasantly surprised! Small property with helpful and welcoming staff, as well as a very convenient location.
- 3/5
small room. they advertise the sofa as an extra bed but it was so very small .
- 2/5
We booked 2 rooms with 2 double beds about a month before our stay The first night they only had one, and placed us in a room with a king size bed and a roller bed. The room was nice but we still did not fit. The next day they moved us to a room outside that was tiny, old and had no mirror or seating area. Worst room in the entire hotel. Should not be used. We got a discount, but that was not what we expected.
- 5/5
great location. quite place
- 3/5
Parking was $$; the room was in need of updating; pool area was nice; bartender and food were the saving graces.
- 5/5
We had a lovely stay at the Mosaic Hotel. We got upgraded to a suite as the room we booked wasn't available which was really nice. Staff were very friendly and approachable. Good location, Rodeo Drive within walking distance.
- 5/5
What truly sets the Mosaic Hotel apart, though, is the staff. Every member of the team went above and beyond through genuine hospitality, and a willingness to assist. Shout out to Fillipa and Morgana! My experience at the Mosaic Hotel was outstanding. I highly recommend!
- 4/5
My only complaint was that the walls are pretty thin. Our next door neighbors were extremely rude and loud in the middle of the night. We had trouble reaching the staff, but eventually walked to the front desk (at 3:30am) and the issue was addressed. Rude guests aren’t the hotel’s fault, but a bit more insulation would have helped.
- 5/5
However, I had an unpleasant encounter with the staff member at the restaurant/bar. I had ordered dinner through Doordash and requested utensils and some hot sauce, which led to him judging me. When I asked if there was an issue, he assured me there wasn’t, but as I turned away, he made disparaging remarks about me to other customers for not dining at the hotel restaurant. This was perplexing and disappointing since I had been extremely polite throughout our interaction. Despite this negative experience, I don’t want to detract from the overall quality of this hotel, which I would rate 10/10. I simply want to caution future guests about this particular staff member. I hope he understands that guests have different dining preferences and should not be judged for choosing where to eat.

Friendly staff, clean, affordable.

Nice location, friendly staff. Cute little outdoor dining and lounging area around a small pool. Like other reviewers have noted, it smells like grandma’s house. The scent of carpet fresh is ubiquitous and cloying. It seem as though someone is trying to mask a worse order.

I really like this property. Have stayed many times. Would still recommend it. When we stayed there recently they started doing roof repairs at 7am on a holiday Monday. Right above our floor. Right above our room. It woke us it was extremely loud. At some points our room was vibrating. When I spoke to the young lady at the front desk I told her that they started at 7am and it was extremely loud and woke us up. Her response was “Oh I did think they started that early” No apology. Didn’t seem to be concerned. If you’re going to do roof repairs then maybe not book that floor. Or have them start later. We weren’t the only ones who heard it. Otherwise this place is one of my favorites.

Cool little hotel, not fancy but nice. The dehumidifiers in front of the room was a little odd. Shout out to Bob the bartender, definitely say hi to him.
