The hotel is generally praised for its water park, pools, and cleanliness, making it a great choice for families. However, there are consistent complaints about the food quality, particularly in the Tanglewood Restaurant, and the high prices for food and drinks. Some guests also express disappointment with the unavailability of certain amenities and the lack of communication about these issues.

Everything was beautiful. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. We dined at Tanglewood and had some drinks at The Mangrove and everything was pretty good. Everything was pretty nice in the room. I would recommend maybe some extra pillows or blankets to help with comfort. Other than that, we had a good night.

The highlight of the resort was definitely the water amenities. The lazy river was incredibly fun and relaxing, especially for families, and the water slides were a huge hit for both kids and adults. The pool areas were spacious, well maintained, and never felt overcrowded despite the busy holiday weekend. There were plenty of chairs, beautiful landscaping, and a great tropical atmosphere throughout the property. The food was also surprisingly good across the resort. Every meal we had was fresh, flavorful, and well presented. The restaurants and poolside service made it easy to enjoy the weekend without ever needing to leave the property. One thing that really stood out was how clean everything was. The rooms, pools, common areas, and restrooms were consistently spotless and well cared for. You can tell the staff takes pride in maintaining the resort. Most importantly, the staff was outstanding. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. From check-in to dining service to pool attendants, the customer service made the stay feel special and stress-free. Overall, this was a perfect Mother’s Day getaway destination. Great pools, fun water slides, relaxing lazy river, excellent food, clean facilities, and amazing staff. We would absolutely return again.

The hotel lobby was magnificent, and the rooms were lovely. The pool and water activities kept the children entertained all weekend, and the cool water temp of the pool was VERY refreshing on the 100+ degree days. The staff were all friendly and did their jobs well and with a smile on their faces. The pillows! We ordered more to the room, and still had to double and triple them up to get a decent night sleep. The pool areas were not cleaned when we went to get chairs at 8am, which probably explains why the bird population is so high.

Check-in was okay…alittle bit of cold welcome and we really didn’t get a lot of information about the resort that would have been helpful. For the example, no one told us about needing reservations to get to the beach, which would’ve saved me a very long walk. Pool bar was pretty good, but breakfast was just okay and expensive. Pools were nice but none of them were heated. I actually overheard a lot of of guests complaining about the water being freezing. I did think our room was nice and fairly clean.

The staff were very helpful and allowed for early check in without asking- we had reserved the boat to the private island for the day of our arrival and just assumed we’d have to leave everything in our car. Pleasantly surprised to get our room so cold things could go in the frig. Loved the boat ride and island beach. Pools were great. Clean everywhere. They were renovating the conference area so very quiet as no conference guests about. A point of improvement would be things to do on the property when it is lightning/raining- there really isn’t anything available when pools are shut down for lightning.

The property was beautiful and immaculate . Grounds were pristine. I have been to this property 3 times at different times of the year. Unfortunately August the service is very much lacking poolside. I understand it is an off season time of the year but if you have patrons by any of the 4 pools there should be waiters and waitresses circling throughout the day. That was by far not the case this past week I spent there. Unfortunate when you are on vacation.

Upon getting to our room which was a king bed for two. And a couch with a pull out to sleep two more. There were only two pillows in the room. We tried to call down to the front desk but our phone was broke. We wound up walking down to the front desk to ask for more pillows. Two lightbulbs were out in the room. We couldn’t call down, we just managed with what we had. The beds are very uncomfortable. Resort was beautiful, we found it annoying that guests were aloud to claim chairs with towels. Taking up about 5 chairs in every row. All chairs were taken by 11am. Service at this hotel is amazing, helpful employees! If you’re staying here you’ll never have to leave as the property offered everything you’ll ever need on property. The charge for self parking seems a little ridiculous. Heads up if you upgrade your room to king corner view of bay. There’s construction going on at all hours of the day. Rooms are paper thin and you can hear everything next door. There are so many beautiful places to hang out at night! A nice fire pit or gazebo! Many lounge chairs to hang back and relax. A beautiful place for a family. But not so much for a couple retreat.

The resort was great for my son who is 7. He enjoyed the two pools and the lazy river and slides. The private beach was nice and the water was warm. The food was mediocre for the price. The ladies at the cool beans market were phenomenal, they remembered his name and engaged with him every time. The young boys who valet parked were overwhelmed and didn’t have customer service. The bell man was good but seemed overwhelmed. The towel rack fell off as soon as I grabbed the towel. The bed was worn out and we barely got any sleep and the room wasn’t cold even on the lowest setting, kept waking up. House keeping didn’t replace any towels or change the garage , the floors were still sandy ,only took the Togo bag with garbage in it. The rooms aren’t anything special for the price. The view was of the parking lot, when you book it doesn’t say that.

The property is spectacular. The room was large and beds comfortable. A little spartan for the price but nonetheless acceptable. Being able to order delicious food poolside was such a great way to save time and maximize our time outdoors. It was perfect for our family, who just wanted to relax and enjoy the beautiful weather. A special shoutout to John, the lifeguard at one of the slides — he went above and beyond every time we saw him. He interacted with our family each time we went up and was especially attentive to my son, making sure he was having a great time. I also noticed how patient and supportive he was with kids who were a little hesitant about going down the slide. His kindness truly stood out. We can’t wait to come back soon with our little family. Thank you, Hyatt, for such a memorable experience!

From the minute we pulled up in front of the resort, it was impressive. While my husband went in to check in, a young man (NOD) greeted me and took our bags from the car. He escorted me into the hotel and began answering my questions - super friendly and nice. We were happy to be given an early check in, and immediately unpacked and headed to the pool. We had a delicious lunch with a terrifc waitress. Our dinner in the hotel "nice restaurant" was delightful, a wonderful waiter and delicious food. We’ve stayed at this property about 10 times since 2016. Front desk service went downhill. Never got a boat ride to the beach, there were only 3 boats. We had previously stayed in rooms that had better amenities and despite paying over $800/night, we had a tub shower and a partial bay view. Couldn’t find a single chair at the pool. The poor bartender at the pool was hustling for hours.

It is with a heavy heart that I am writing this, but I wont be able to return here. I waited almost a week after returning home and gave it some time to reflect. NO SEE UMS are out of control here. I have been here 2 years in a row 23' and 24'. Both times I was ate alive. (30-40 bites)each time. I sprayed Off bug spray every day, didnt matter. We came with small kids and laid by the pool every day. My wife and I were scratching and itching the 2nd day into the trip all the way through and came home to raised bumps. Its next door to a preserve with tons of plants and greenery, but for the money I spent its hard to over look this. The hotel is beautiful, stunning and spacious. We stayed on the 17th floor in a family suite. 4 balconies, 2 bathrooms,, livijg room. The room is great and house keeping was good. Unfortunately the no see ums ruined my trip 2 years in a row. Other reviewers also have mentioned it So I will look at other properties next time I come down to Naples/SBSW area. Great property but the bug issue 2 years in a row is something that will make me pass next time.

There are several pools, waterslides, lazy river and planned activities for kids (kickball, trivia, face painting, rock wall, fire pits for smores and mini golf). Staff if professional, friendly and rooms clean. We didn’t go to the beach because of recent tropical storm and cleanup but there is a boat that takes you to private beach area for hotel. We loved our time at this resort.

We had a great time. Lots to do for the little ones ( we have a 2yo and 4yo) and we all enjoyed our time there.

Parking was challenging with a truck. Very loud in lobby and around pool area, but it is family friendly. Traveling in elevators was a bit troublesome at times. Over all very good, my observations are more situational in my opinion

The water slides and different pools make it a better option than South Seas in Captiva. Food over all is good, specially Breakfast, they got everything for everyone. Tanglewood is the casual dining option of choice, the menu is very limited and unless you like Cajun/creole food, you will be disappointed ,there’s the more upscale Tarpon Bay restaurant also, but this one is more for adults type of menu. One complaint to Management is regarding the Hair Braiding Cart over by the Big Waterlides, the price is very, very misleading”Braids for $5.95 “ It turns out itwas $5.95 per inch!! My 2 Grandaughters got 1 Single braid each, It came out to $95.00 each! Almost $200.00 for 2 Single hair braids. The lady did Not explain anything about the pricing. Total Ripoff! Same braid in Jamaica, Mexico or Tha Bahamas is $20-30 each. Hyatt Management should Not allowed this type of Vendors on their properties. It leads to Bad reputation for the hotel.

The property itself was beautiful. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was outstanding. The first night we had a waitress that really set us off, as she seemed like she didn't want to be there. Made us not want to have dinner there the rest of the trip. My kids loved the pools, lazy river and water slides. Great place.

We love the resort. This was our 2nd visit. Only gripe, the older gentleman bartenders at the pool area could be a little friendlier. Besides that, great and we will be back.

We had a great stay overall very fun! At night the whole place is beautiful! We give it a 4 due to below average food quality at pool and house keeping below average. We found dirty things and also a bug in our room however we are in Florida and bugs are not uncommon. So we decided to rate the resort based on time spent outside room.
