The lamp didn't turn on; the room was clean.

Convenient to my needs. The key card was always losing programming. They said if you got it near your phone it would do that. Everyone always has their phones with them. Breakfast was horrible.

The bed/pillows were comfortable and the rooms were clean but the overall property is just old. There’s only so much you can do with it. The free breakfast offering was pitiful. Given the location (high traffic), it was fairly quiet. The ac worked well but clunked every time it shut down. The price was right.

Room was moderately clean. Dust in the lamp shades. Room was dimly lite. Missing lights bulbs. Base around toilet was dirty. Finally, breakfast was disappointing. Offer something or just don't have it.

Fights all over the place at night

It’s hard for an elderly person to do the outside steps, especially when you have heavy luggage. Didn’t realize there wasn’t an elevator until we arrived. It could be quite dangerous . The pool was so dirty, we wouldn’t use it. There was trash in it.

The pool is located in à covered area between 2 buildings and the pool’s “deck” is in the parking lot! The hotel is much too expensive for what it offers! Continental breakfast was meager at best!

It was good. Some upkeep on the property needed but clean and bug free!

Even though I am not handicapped, I was given a handicap room. It was next to the laundry, the carts stayed in front of the women with staff talking very loud. Worse of all was the doorbell to the office. I rings every time someone goes in or out. In the morning there was no rest with everyone getting breakfast and late afternoon as guests registered. Beautiful pool in the shade and not heated. I will not be staying on my next trip.

Weak to say the least. Room smelled had to put a hob fan and leave the door open for hours. Room looked like a rock star stayed there.

The sheets were stained and had holes in them. Given the price I paid through Expedia, it didn't seem fair to me; the room itself was listed at $46—Expedia shouldn't have charged so much. $46 would have been a reasonable price, but not the amount Expedia actually charged me.

Although the guy a the front desk was nice the condition of the property was not. The room was disgustingly dirty. The walls were absolutely terrible. The sink did not have any hot water in the toilet did not flush well at all.. I bleached everything down and use Lysol throughout the entire room. The price does not match the condition of the room. I was very displeased

This was the worst room that I have ever rented. Small bathroom, small kitchen, stove and refrigerator were all rusted on the exterior and were probably 50 years old. Continental breakfast was an embarrassment including toast, cereal and protein bars. Do not even consider staying at this location.

Lots af scuff marks and stains

My kids read the reviews and refused to sleep under the sheets. Hole in the bathroom wall from the doorknob. Stucco falling off ceiling. In the morning you could see homeless people peeing on the building next door. Toilet clogged. There were things between the sheets.

Originally my room had a gas leak and the fire alarm was going off. I requested a new room. The next room was the most disgusting unclean place I have ever been to. I literally checked out the next day and requested a refund for the rest of my trip. There were fruit flies all over the room, cigarettes burns in the sheets, the curtains look liked they have never been cleaned once since purchased. The beds were basically pull out bed. Very thin and no cushioning. Sheets and pillows smelled like cigarettes. If it wasn’t so late I would have never stayed the one night. Also someone or some people tried to get into my room in the middle of the night. I was too scared to sleep due to disgusting condition of the room and my environment. They will never see me again.

Need update, poor lighting inside not clean

I needed a 2 night stay for a wedding I was attending. Not knowing much about Florida I picked this place. Well let me tell you what happened when I pulled up. I immediately called and tried to cancel my reservation not realizing what kind of place this was. I saw the sign in the window saying hourly rates. They refused to refund me. The online description of this joint is falsely misleading. So I was able to actually find a lovely place even closer to Lido where I needed to be. Run don’t walk is all I can say about this place.

Did not have breakfast. Location was great. I did not like the fact that there was no chain on the door, the stairs were not clean, floors around stairs were not clean, garbage pales need updating and pool area needs to be more inviting.

The pool I did not use but it looked decent just small. If it was heated, I might have swam. Air conditioning worked great

I did not use the pool or amenities. Staff was fine but the hotel was a bit under par for even a Non-National Brand Name. Breakfast isnt necessarily breakfast, but rather an opportunity for a cup of coffee and a Hostess snack before embarking on packing to leave. Staff was nice, but if not for the time of year being spring break, ... nope. Not again.

Kitchen stove was not working, Room had other peoples clothes as if they didn't clean before our coming. There was supposed to be a “no smoke” zone and they allowed smoking. Our sink had a leaking pipe. The microwave was super dirty. bed were smaller than what described. And the costumer service was horrible. For the price, it was not worth it.

I made and paid a reservation in advance for February 26, 2026 at the hotel. The clerk was sitting behind what looked like a bullet-proof glass window with all kinds of scotch tape ends still stuck to it. As I opened the door to room 123, I smelled the heavily perfumed room masking the smoking smell (supposed to be a non-smoking room) and turned on the light, the first resident roach informed me that the faucets on the sink don't work and there is no hot water. Furthermore, he said that there in no watchable programing on the tv and that the Internet access number provided didn't connect to any known network. The second resident roach pointed to the mirror and mentioned that someone had spray painted graffiti over it a while back. And I noticed that the bed had just a mattress over a wire frame and no box spring to support it. On a good note........the sheets were clean. Jonathan

I like that it was quiet and checking in and out was simple, at the time I wish the beds were better but I'm staying here again and it looks like everything has been upgraded. The beds mini fridge A/C unit and bathrooms have been refreshed. At the time the beds and the mini fridge took a whole day to get fully cold . But staying here now a month later things a much much better.

This place looks, feels, and smells like a drug den. The comforters were stained, the bathroom was dirty. The smoke detectors had been tampered with. The beds were cheap cots with no headboards. There was mold present and obvious in smell and appearance. The room was moist and the air conditioning didn’t work well. There was a dirty bandaid on the wall next to my bed. I have pictures if needed.

Not much, reviews were positive but shouldn’t have been No battery in smoke detector, non smoking room but clearly it had been smoked as holes in blanket, burnt marks in bathroom, etc.

The young woman behind the counter was very nice. Her customer service made the stay tolerable due to the circumstances. The sheets clearly had evidence of human activity without them being washed before I stayed. Due to the hour I arrived I was tired and just wanted to sleep so I did, fully clothed with my hoodie for a pillow.

Older motel. Breakfast was literally Hostess Twinkies, Hostess chocolate cupcakes, chocolate chip granola bars and juice boxes. All for $156 a night. Never again…

Very clean and quiet rooms

The hotel staff and stay were excellent.

Dated, bathroom door wouldn’t shut. Had three adults and provided two towels, washcloths had to go to the front desk each time to request additional towels. Breakfast was cold cereal and toast.

Room was dirty , everything was drained. Blankets had holes all through them. Lampshades were old dirty and stained . Beds very uncomfortable, like stiff cots . The smell is nasty. The only thing nice was the shower and even then it was dirty. The lighting was dull and we could barely see. There is no breakfast. Just juice coffee and individual packaged little Debbie cakes . No coffee pot. The water bucket cooked like mold or something was growing from it. The heat/ac unit did not work . Terrible. One of the worst hotel I have ever been to

It seemed very unsafe

I was worried with all the bad reviews, but this hotel was honestly fine. The room was relatively clean. The only "issue" I really had with it was that there were no DnD signs for the room so I had my room cleaned every day while I was gone.

Room was not as clean as I expect and needs updating. Rust-colored stains on the bathtub, bathroom door dirty and scratched, hair dryer was so old it had turned yellow, tissue holder was covered in rust, no ice bucket was provided.

The first room was absolutely disgusting! It’s obviously an older hotel which is fine but old shouldn’t equal disgusting! I talked to the manager and showed him pictures of my room and he offered to switch my room or cancel/refund. At this point I was unable to book another hotel due to time restrictions. He gave us another room which was a little bit cleaner but not great! I ended up going to the store and getting a can of Lysol and sprayed the beds, pillows and toilet. It’s unbelievable to me that the owners think any of this is acceptable! The beds are stained, pillows stained, walls disgusting! I feel as though I should have been offered a refund

The staff are incredible here. They go above and beyond for your needs there’s such limited parking around the room that I’m sometimes forced to park at the end of the parking lot. Also, you can be prepared to wake up abruptly from anyone outside. They slam their doors and the talking in general is somehow intensifying

There was nothing about a security deposit when room was booked then asked for a large amount when refused asked for a different amount and cash only- refused to give receipt then begged for tip, then got to room to find holes in wall, carpet ripped dirty room, when approached about the room said he would upgrade the room for specific dollar tip- called hotels.com rep said it was stated about the security deposit but there is nothing- he said he called the hotel and they said they gave us some money back which never happened. These people are scam artist beware!!!

The hotel in general is dirty, the sheets have stains, the bathroom wall is broken from the spicy food, the aviation wall is broken. I asked for a non-smoking room and they gave me a smoking room. An unpleasant smell of cigarettes. I had to use a lot of air freshener and perfume. I asked for clean sheets. I do not recommend staying at this hotel.

Nothing quite like the comfort of checking in with someone behind bullet proof glass. This is the type of shady motel that you see in movies. I booked 2 nights and stayed for less than 3 hours even knowing I wasn't going to get a dime back. I didn't feel safe the entire time I was there. I didn't even feel comfortable enough to connect to the Wifi out of fear of having my information stolen. I can't believe I gave them my credit card upon check in. I'll be spending the next few weeks checking said credit card for unapproved charges. I'd say it's the worst place I've ever stayed but I didn't really stay and instead spent the time finding somewhere else to go.

We after received a new key to another room, to apparently a none-smoking room. It reeked of cigarettes and weed. We after move to another room that was right beside the front desk. Around 2 am we could hear the front desk agent on the phone having a very load and aggressive conversation, that kept us awake. I was just about to go complain but the phone call stopped.

The bed sheets were clean and comfortable. The shower was updated. We were gone most of the day really just there to sleep and shower.

The room smelled like pot. Rust was all over the bathroom area (tub, sink and faucet. The knobs on the faucet were dis colored and look very dirty.

Served its purpose

The room was nothing to brag about. The sheets were dirty and stained. The pillow cases had not been changed, they had make up and hair on them. There was a dry booger on the bath towel and there was urine stains on the base of the toilet. There was a strong odor as you walked into the room, a combination of urine and stale smoke. When we spoke with fronk desk attendant in hopes to get a clean pair of pillow cases we were informed that they did not had any available. In addition, coffee and packaged granola bars is not considered continental breakfast.

We had the amazing bad timing to arrive when it became certain that the THIRD storm/hurricane was on its way. Not hotel's fault. So we spent much more time in an economy hotel than would have liked. An ok deal, clean—bad that there is no little freezer in fridge—tho is an ice machine below. Bathroom cramped. WiFi fine, lots of stations on TV. Bottom line: place would be just fine if you have normal beach vacation—and you are not there too much!

Not as expected

We stayed 2 nights during the tropical storm, non smoking double room. Very clean, didn't smell muggy like some motels. Didn't see any bugs. Staff is very accommodating and welcoming. Beds and bedding were super comfortable. Even had a little coffee maker with a little packet of coffee. Always felt very safe. I've stayed there before and they always remember me.

The worse hotel I have ever stayed. I will never use Expedia again.

The area is unsafe, the door had a gap in it and we had to push a chair against to keep it secure. The towels had hair all over them, sheets were not changed and spotty, microwave was burned up inside. People yelling and cursing in the middle of the night. We would not stay again.

The room is in much worse condition than the photo shows. Also had to put $100 deposit down which I was informed I couldn't get a receipt because I was leaving early the next morning and no one would be there to give me one…. On a very busy road and a sketchy part of town. The pros….. Close to the airport, very hot water and you can’t hear the road noise also the pool area looked clean and nice. All in all would not stay here again.

Very clean. Our room was on the second floor. There is no elevator or inside steps. Kind of hard for eldery people to manage lugauge. No one in office for early check out and key drop was full of water. Breakfast is very minimum and nothing avaliable before 7:00.

Tired old property. One star for Attempt to update bathroom and it was a decent bed but tired grimy linens. Carpet lifting everywhere. Wordless service from attendant at late night check in. Definitely not worth what I paid. Buyers remorse for sure but slept ok so I guess that’s the 2nd star. Would never return

At over $200 a night it was barely ok. Remote didnt work, soda machine had soda in the wrong slots. The breakfast was a joke! There was a loaf of bread and 2 kinds of cereal. No bowls or spoons! Coffee was ok.

The bed I slept on was a cott and mattress hurt my back and my children were not comfortable at all it was a 2double bed but the comfort was not comfortable at all but service was great and the had coffee and cereal with snacks for breakfast ..and they wouldn't give me a discount or anything for the discomfort of the beds and the room

I enjoyed my stay here. Will definitely choose Magnuson again. The only issues I had was that the pool was down and I didn't know about the $100 deposit. But overall the visit was great

Staff friendly, rooms clean, noise at a minimum

They have a kitchenette, they should have atleast even a few stuffs like pots or pans, utensils for cooking. Tourist can’t bring and buy everything they need for the kitchen because its a waste. Its either they’ll throw it after using those pots.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. We also liked having the refrigerator and microwave in the room. However, inside the room the bathroom faucets were very dirty and there were weird stains on the bathroom shower curtain. It got quite noisy at night time and you could see through where the door shut to lock (the crack). Also, the refrigerator sometimes stop cooling completely so that the small freezer part melted and got food wet. It happened enough, drinks rarely got very cold. Outside, the pool had stains on the bottom and several of the columns in front of parking spaces looked as though they were either collapsing or had been hit by cars. All in all not the worst given it’s price point. But it could be at least cleaner.

Awesome stay

Booked a 2 bed non smoking room but was told I had to take the 2 bed smoking or deal with a king size single bed. Room was not at all like what was on the pictures. Microwave looked like someone caught it on fire. Carpet had big burn hole. Bed sheets had burn holes all over the place. First day the maid didn’t make the beds nor take out trash only gave 2 new towels. Second night was the same way. Third night everything was made and changed out. Last night there nobody cleaned the room at all. Had no clean towels.

The most disgusting place I have ever stayed! Left after the first night and never got my money back This place smells terrible and doesn’t look anything like the pictures. It’s so dirty, I feel gross even thinking about that one night. I was so scared staying there I had to put a chair against the door. It was like staying in a crack motel or something. The pictures show only a portion.

The hotel was okay, nothing special. Needed a hotel near the SRQ airport as we had a very early flight. The toilet squealed loudly every time it was flushed. Could hear people talking outside a lot. Pool was in a weird place. Very pricey for what it was.

It seems very noisy lately with music playing and people hanging near rooms speaking loud. It seems like an apartment in a rough neighborhood.
