    As I was checking in a lady was there complaining about the shower and that the knob did not work to turn on the shower. The front desk lady was moving them to a different room only to be told that was the room they had just moved from. So, essentially that lady had to move her stuff 3 times. Then it was my turn and she told me she put me on the third floor and asked me if that was okay, I told her as long as everything worked, she said she needed to look to see if there were any complaints on that room and decided to place me on the second floor in a unit she personally lived in and that it had a new toilet. As soon as I walked into the room the smell of the room was terrible. I went immediately to the grocery store to buy Clorox, latex gloves and room spray. I sprayed the Clorox in the tub and toilet and the stench that came up was horrific. I let the Clorox sit for at least 20 mins before rinsing it all off. The stench stayed. The toilet wasn’t set properly and wobbled and the last morning I was there noticed there was a leak coming from the toilet. I’m sure that is where the stench was coming from. I had to buy paper plates and plasticware due to what they offered looked to be unclean. I went to to ask for sugar packets and they were out. I asked for two extra towels and washcloths and was told that I would need to bring my used towels to switch out in order to replace what I needed because they would not have enough. I can keep going but I have run out of characters.

    Upon arrival to the Sonesta, my daughter and I checked in around midnight and were assigned room 311 when entering the room, I noticed that there were cobwebs around the bottom of the kitchen cabinets. The floor looked like it hadn’t been swept in several Customer visits. there were dead cockroaches in the bathroom drawers and leftover pet air completely unacceptable and unsanitary.

    The photos online are very misleading. The entire building smelled of stale cigarettes, and the rooms were disgusting. The AC units smelled like must and they have a coat of black gunk inside the grates. The corners in every rook have dirt built up, and the whole unit could use a bleach. I didn’t see any bugs or left over food items, but I felt gross for the one night we stayed. I did not shower because the caulking around the tub was brown with dirt or mold. Hard pass.

    Do not stay here it was not clean at all and the staff seemed to have an attitude. I asked for room service one person okay they be in the morning we left for the entire day. No one came we ask another person at the front desk she said, “they don’t do everyday room service they do it once a week”. And all I wanted was a can of Lysol and never got it and there no breakfast. Same worker caught a attitude when I ask for more towels.

    The bathroom was filthy. There were hairs on the shower walls and chewed bubble gum on the soap ledge in the shower. The bathroom floor looked like it hadn't been swept in months. The top of the table next to the bed was dirty as well.

    This hotel is very nasty, the TV, microwave, and the hotel had bugs, front desk rude and didnt want to give mecanother room, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone .     Overall, good stay. The room was small, and the bed wasn't comfortable. Their store mostly sold snacks I don't eat, but there was a good variety. The parking was convenient. The property is nestled in a nice location. The staff is very nice and very accommodating. I would recommend a stay at this property because of the location, the amenities in the room, and the staff.

    The employee that check us in was friendly, caring, and efficient. The room was clean, and warm. Parking was close and easy as to access to check in. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. The bathroom had no exhaust fan. The force of the water in the shower was not adjustable. I couldn't find ice for drinks anywhere.

    I loved everything about this property. Rachel checked me in and was very nice and friendly. I saw her several times during my stay - I was there for a funeral and she was very kind. This is a dog friendly property so that made my stay even more enjoyable petting doggies !! The room was amazing with a full size refrigerator and microwave plus 2 stove burners. Very clean and quiet. I will definitely stay there again 😃

    The entire hotel smells of cigarettes and garbage. Hotel room floor was absolutely filthy. I requested the floor to be vacuumed and was told housekeeping comes once per week.... Housekeeping let see borrow a vacuum and I had to do it myself. Pillows were completely flat. AC/HEAT runs the entire time... no way to turn it off. No bathroom fan. Water tastes horrible. The staff was friendly. Thats the only good thing I can say.

    The room was clean and spacious. The gentleman at the desk was really nice. Don't remember his name but he did say he was a retired teacher. The bed was pretty awesome and comfortable. They have everything you need for a comfortable stay. We were at the end of the hall with an outside door close by to take our furbaby out. We will be back for sure.

    Check in went well. The man at the front desk was very friendly with many good restaurant recommendations. The room was nice with a small kitchen. One small problem was that was no office style chair for the desk area. However, since this was a one night stay we didn’t need that chair and we didn’t request that one be brought in.

    The room had a strong cooking smell that was noticeable as soon as I walked in, which was quite unpleasant. The bed mattress was also not comfortable at all, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. On top of that, the room insulation was very poor—I could clearly hear the guests in the neighboring room talking and even their TV, which made it hard to relax. Overall, the stay was not comfortable, and I would not choose this hotel again unless improvements are made.

    While the gentleman at the front desk, Mr. William, was lovely, the building itself is in need of much repair and updates. Checked into our room and it had a noticeable smell, as well as water pouring out from base of sink in the bathroom anytime it was turned on. William gave us another room, the last available for the night, he stated. This one didn't smell as bad, but the air conditioner barely worked, so we were not comfortable during the night. I hate to leave a bad review, but this was definitely not a comfortable stay.

    It was a wonderful stay from start to finish. The gentleman who checked me in was the best. He gave me the purple key card, he said to match my purple contacts and purple nail polish. It was sweet. The rooms were a bit dated but clean so i don't take off for that. Cleaning staff was hard at work the next morning after a sold out night previously. Ready checkout and felt safe the entire time. Would definitely go back.

    NEGATIVES Hotel room did not match the online pictures. In need of updates and renovations. Room was warm throughout the stay, air conditioner would only run in 15 minute intervals and cut off. Hallways smelled smoky and moldy. Our room had the odor of smoke coming through the vents. POSITIVES: Front desk workers were nice and always greater us by name as we entered and exited. Bed was comfortable, not too soft and not too firm. The room was clean but the dire need for upgrades takes away from the effect. Hotel was in a nice area.

    There were definitely some positives during my stay. The staff was extremely friendly, which made check-in and interactions pleasant. Also, the kitchen area was neat and clean, which I appreciated. However, there were a few major downsides: The air conditioning in my room was controlled by a motion sensor, which made it nearly impossible to stay cool. Even with movement, it wouldn’t stay on consistently. I ended up sweating through most of my stay, and even after notifying the front desk, the issue wasn’t resolved. The exercise room needs serious attention. Some of the equipment didn’t work, and most of it seemed very outdated. It’s definitely time for an upgrade. Lastly, I’m still trying to get my $25 deposit returned. It was supposed to be refunded on Tuesday—today is Friday—and I’ve now been on hold for over 20 minutes trying to reach someone. This place has potential, but there are a few things that need fixing before I’d consider staying again.

    1. Room#132: 2/5 - looks old and abit smelly. Bed is ok, at least not squeaky or springy. Bedding sheets seem clean but not smelled fragrant. A closet door jam cracks... 2. Bathroom: 2/5 - dirty floor with hair and crumbs all over, cracks, rust. May be a dollar store shower head... no air vent... so fogged up after a shower. I only wore barefoot before the shower so after stepping in a wet tub, I saw my blackened foot stain in the tub so you can get an idea of how dirty the floor is... linens seem clean but thin and cheap material. The only nice thing is the sink and counter top is updated. 3. Kitchenette: 3/5 - furnished enough for light cooking. 4. Noise: 1/5 - besides the a/c blowing noise, and constant elevator engine noises next door, and also may be from the electrical room. So if you are a light sleeper, make sure not to get room#132 at all cost. 5. Check-in: 3/5 - the check-in was easy but not allowed to check-in until 4pm which is very inconvenient. 6. The premise: 2/5 - just so so, at least neither smelly thru out the hallways nor exciting to stay... we were waiting in the lobby for check-in, a couple of employees smoked right outside of the front doors about 8' away... so you get all the smoke when the door is open... another employee complained really loud about doing double works...like one person doing 2 jobs...

    Gave this stay 3 stars. I love the area. It’s safe and, eateries and grocery stores are within walking distance. They have a one time deposit of $25 which I think is reasonable instead of charging a deposit for each day. It was only 5 minutes from my destination. The view from the room was nice and private where you just saw greenery and hills that made it feel like you were staying in a log cabin. However, the hotel smelled musty and old but the room was fairly clean. The hotel is so outdated but the price was good. The pictures online are photoshopped and make the hotel look newer than it actually is.

    Poorest experience in my 25 years of travel. Booked 3 rooms for family to stay. For starter no one's AC unites worked correctly. My room required a maintenance guy to install a 3-foot extension unit at 10:30p. My brothers-in-law room AC cut off after 5 min and never came back on. The front desk moved us to different rooms, and EVERY room experienced the exact same issues. The only options we were given at 11:30p was "you can check out or wait till 2a for Maintenace repair man to show". The only way for a comfortable sleep was to open a window... but wait, the window has NO SCREEN (safety hazard for a 3rd floor room). Upon my final trip to the front desk I was told the following, "...what do you think I'm engineering and we just have screens laying around back here?" Beyond frustrated I asked for the managers name and emailed her that evening. Still NO ONE has contacted me, replied to my email or even acknowledged the issues my family experienced. DO NOT, i repeat, DO NOT BOOK THIS FACILITY

    The room cleanliness was the downfall to an otherwise great facility. Dog hair everywhere, the floor didn’t look like it was swept or washed from the previous guests. Window was grimy as was the A/C unit. A/C was not very efficient at keeping the room cool.

    Dislike: property is dated and shows sign of wear on carpet , cabinets, doord and the like. Room had a wet smell initially , but disappeared after running the a/c. For the price and location, I would stay again.

    My reservation was paid ahead for 8/11/-8/14, in full. I called a week in advance and spoke to Kendra and William. William confirmed my room selection was a regular queen suite. We had a 2.5 hour drive from Alabama and decided to wait until the morning of 8/12 to arrive. At that time I was told I chose a wheelchair accessible room and it was the only one available anyway. And also my room went back up for rent when I didn’t check in on 8/11. Room 109 was so hot, white powder stuff on the furniture, and construction men working all down the hallway. I stayed about 5 hours and loaded my dog and drove 2.5 hours back home to Alabama. I called the office and checked out same day. No refund offered. Nothing to make it right.

    Seemed OK from outside appearance. Staff was nice & helpful. They were very accommodating. However, the room was very run down, tired and rough. It was an OK place to stay, but the room being outdated and needing a lot of attention. Old, musty feel. There were renovations going on, plastic on carpet in hallways & stairs. There was a huge, full & open garbage bin in the hallway between my room and the stairs/elevator - and I was real close to both. Bin was there - full - in the second floor hallway for most of my stay. It was a good deal and now I know why. I should have paid more for a better place to stay. I would not have let my family stay in the room due to the condition. After 1 day, I thought of asking to change rooms, but decided to just stay where I was. I have stayed in Sonesta's before and they were great. This one did not meet my average expectations of being in good condition, clean and comfortable. I went for a "good value", but it was not a good decision.

    There was remodeling going on and we walked on the plastic in hallways covering the carpet. We had 7 rooms for a church training trip. None were perfect. The air conditioning was difficult to control and all complained of being hot at times. One room had mold between air conditioner and ceiling. One room was supposed to be 2 beds but they provided one bed with foldout sofa due to a/c not working in some rooms. Rooms and hallways were heavily scented to cover odors. It appears many rooms were not available due to remodeling

    The front desk staff was great. William was wonderful and very accommodating. The original room we were put in had an odor of wet dog and when I told him about it he put us in another room right away. The hotel seemed to be a bit run down since the last time I was there a few years ago. The ac is controlled by the hotel and although the weather has been cooler it got very warm and stuffy in the evening. The bed was comfortable and the 2nd room was clean and pet odor free.

    The check-in person addressed me from behind a vending area, asking, "What do you want?" when I was checking in. After we got to the room, we realized the door opened by pushing on it. When I went to the desk, she said I had to wait until maintenance came in the morning. When I said that wasn't acceptable and got upset with her, she moved me to another room, but it only had one bed. One of my children ended up sleeping on the floor. The shower bottles could be opened by anyone, and anyone could do anything to them.

    I booked a suite with a queen bed in bedroom suite and a queen bed in the living room area. I received a call 2 hours prior to our arrival from an associate named Doug stating they did not offer this type of suite and had been asking for sometime to remove it off the website. Keep in mind I booked this suite a month in advance for our family vacation. The associate informed me that I had the option to either retain the booking or cancel it. However, my response was that the limited choices were due to our imminent arrival in two hours and our extended drive since 9:00 AM. The associate responded by offering the possibility of canceling the reservation. Upon further inquiry, I inquired about the availability of a suite with an additional bed. The associate informed me that the couch served as a sleeper sofa. I made an error and decided to keep the reservation. We arrived around 8:00 PM, had dinner, and upon my daughter’s discovery of the sleeper sofa, I was shocked to find that the mattress was severely worn out, resembling springs. I spoke with Doug again, who confirmed that the hotel was fully booked. However, he suggested that I could contact them in the morning to inquire about the availability of a room with a better mattress. To avoid further complications, I decided to seek assistance from Expedia. They were able to refund my stay and informed the hotel I would be checking out the next morning. The hotel also makes you throw your own trash out!

    The staff checking in and out were great! Shortly after check-in, the toilet in my room needed attention. However, there wasn’t a maintenance person on staff until the morning. :( Definitely disappointed in this. Despite the room being clean enough, the hallways and common areas were quite dingy and worn down.

    The front desk staff was very friendly. The room did not smell good-- like mildew or something similar. The room was not cleaned well. Although the bed and some surfaces were clean, other parts were not, such as the shower walls (there were hairs) and light fixtures (the bedside floor lamp had black stains all over the bottom and the bathroom light was dusty). The smell persisted over the 2 night stay. There was also constant noise overnight from walking from about 9pm to about 3 to 4am. To be fair, I was at the end of the hall on the second floor by the stair well, but the noise seemed to be coming from above me. I could even hear the "thumping" from the walking from my noise canceling air pods with white noise on so I guess the walls are just thin?

    I was in Nashville for a week for work and found this Sonesta suites in Franklin, where I was working around the corner, the photos on their website are Nothing like what they show when you arrive. KAT the front desk person, who probably works the mid morning shift, has the WORST ATTITUDE YOU CAN HAVE BEING A FRONT DESK PERSON. YOU SET THE TONE FOR ANYONR CHECKING IN AND WHEN I CAME ACROSS HER, I IMMEDIATELY WANTED TO LEAVE BUT COULDNT BECAUSE MY JOB ALREADY PAID FOR THE ROOM. THE ROOMS HAD ROACHES! I WILL NEVER STAY HERR AGAIN!

    I had to ask where to find ice. (I was told to turn on the ice maker in the freezer in my room.) It would have helped if I'd been told that during check-in. Also, the bathroom sink drain was slow. It may be clogged. But otherwise, everything worked just fine. The air conditioner seemed to make scraping noises sometimes. I couldn't hear it clearly, but it was pretty loud when I was trying to sleep.

    It was definitely not what I thought we were getting. Although the room itself was descent being a suite, it was not the quietest of stays. They do long stays and except pets, which was an issue one of the nights with a dog barking for at least 20 minutes before it was quieted. Just for this reason alone, we will not stay here again.

    First of all, if I could have afforded the Hampton Inn, that's where I would have gone; and there are two good reasons for that assessment. First, when I arrived to check in, there was no one visibly present working, but there was plexiglass at the check-in counter, indicative of safety issues, as well as a VERY long wait for the rather overweight, lethargic, and hidden-from-view employee to acknowledge my presence. Also, the bedside "table" if one could call it that, in my room showed obvious signs of age-old water damage and rust. Bottom line: This place is totally sketch--at best.

    This was more like a half/way house than a hotel. As you pull up, it is uncertain if the door is where you check in. Staff person at the counter was nice, but everyone else we saw while there were sketchy. Carpet in the hallways are very dirty, Walls have dirty handprints along the hallway. When we got to our floor it reaked of marajuana. We were holding out that our room might be clean - nope! Visible hair on the floor. The bathroom was dirty, including diarrhea splashed along the bottom of the tub next to the toilet. We immediately called the desk, risking touching the phone to call and let them know we would be checking out and going to a different hotel. This should not be advertised as a one-night hotel for those who innocently are looking for a clean and safe stop along their journey.

    I have stayed here several times. Free parking, free laundry service (at the time) 24 hr. fitness room and coffee. Rooms was very spacious and staff was wonderful. The location is very easy to get to and close to everything in Brentwood. The price is excellent. I will stay here again when I am in the area.

    There were several times that I felt uncomfortable waiting for the elevator because of the people waiting for it as well, so I would take the stairs. The stairways were filthy, they smelled terrible, and the carpets were stained as if someone dragged a leaking trash bag through them. People leave their trash outside their doors so it can be picked up by staff, but the same trash sat outside a room on our floor for two days. Honestly we will not stay in a Sonesta Simply suites again. Staff (when they were actually at the front desk) were friendly.

    The front desk employees were all so so so nice and helpful. I will definitely be back! Lots of food places within walking distance. The gym and laundry room were both very nice. The laundry room is free. The room was so spacious and very clean. They had dish soap, sponges, hand lotion, body wash, hair wash, paper towels, dish towels, ice maker, etc. Honestly i have no complaints. This hotel probably the best ive ever stayed at!
