Property is very clean and well maintained. I will stay again.

Staff was very helpful and kind. You can tell they care about the property and take pride in keep the rooms clean
- 3/5
Room was clean and functional for what we needed. Room had shampoo and soap, but no conditioner. No do not disturb signs available. Walls are on the thin side. Only big complaint is that there seemed to be some long term residents that just sat outside smoking all day blocking the upper walkway.

Room was filthy and environment was hostile.

The rooms r never really clean clean lbvs but aye they allow smokin n no bed bugs so ig that’s the plus

Room was clean, staff polite. It's an older hotel, not fancy. Noisy, road noise was drowned out by AC fan, but guests in middle of night pull in playing loud music. Sketchy neighborhood.

It was a very decent rate. There was hot coffee available all morning in the office. The workers were very friendly and accommodating. The beds were clean and comfortable. Really, the only drawback was the very strong smell of Marijuana in and outside of the room. You did get used to it after a bit. Maybe not ALL of the rooms were like this. Ours was. Even so we agreed we would stay there again if decent rates were needed, and it was close to where you needed to be.

I stay here often, I like the smoke assessable rooms and it’s in a pretty decent area:) Only bad thing is they aren’t super flexible with checkout, I think it maybe is a miscommunication issue sometimes but they will bang on the door before checkout when it said a different time originally but other than that it’s been good!

Very clean - we were lucky to get the last room available after our VRBO fell through.

The pictures on the website looks like a normal hotel but it’s a hook up. Hotel was filthy. The entire room smells of cleaning chemicals. It was awful.

When I checked in, the room smelled overwhelmingly of bleach or clorox. The window was screwed shut so I had to sit in the room for an hour with the door open to air it out. After an hour I had to go out to get rid of a headache from the smell. I returned after midnight and the room still smelled. Tried to sleep through it but it was unbearable. The bed only had a thin top sheet, no ac/heater that I could see and the walls were so thin, I could hear everything above and next door. No towel rails anywhere so you had to hang towels from coat hangers. At three am I was still awake so I gave up and drove the 5 hours home.

The cops were called a few times because of some other guests. Not the hotels fault at all. And probably good to know police are around for safety.

Gun violence happened just in front of my room and my car is demaged. There was a bullet hole and dent on trunk.

No frills but very good on the basic needs. I’d return again if needed.

The car alarms going off at all hours when your trying to sleep.
- 5/5
The person that was cleaning the rooms walked into my room without knocking, he had no reason to come into my room. There was homeless hanging around at the lobby area (on both of my stays and the stair way located at the lobby area was closed down with emgy yellow Rope/tape.

We stayed here last NYE and it was perfect! This was our second time staying here and it was great! Perfect location, price and friendly staff! We plan on staying again next year.

The sheets had stains in them and the bathroom was not clean! There was human hair everywhere. In the bed, the toilet and the tub!

Pretty ghetto town but was cheap and clean 10/10

- 3/5
Such an interesting place. I'll give it 3 stars because our stay was good overall, and it was conveniently located near the freeway. Rough neighborhood though and lots of activity at night. Could hear people screaming and banging on doors. Definitely seemed like the type of place where rooms are being rented by the hour too. Drive four minutes any direction? Much nicer neighborhoods. Just a small pocket of sketch.
- 4/5
Everything was great but could you make the check in time earlier than 3pm? It makes it easier when flights bring you in earlier.
- 3/5
It’s definitely better than when I was younger. Maybe I didn’t get a room that was more remodeled. This is for a trip you plan on not really being in the room. It’s literally a place to shower and maybe get a quickie in. I don’t think I would stay here again.
- 1/5
Very sketchy area, prices online more than actual price if you just walk in and get a room and all they had was smoking rooms , also ver strong odor of Marijuana everywhere .
- 2/5
Ghetto hotel, dirty and panhandlers outside
- 3/5
The place was clean and the staff was nice, but the room was just more awkward than other rooms. The lights were harshly bright, there were no lamps, there was a huge mirror facing the bed, the night stands were very far from the bed, and the other hotel guests were loud and yelling/talking late into the night. The traffic noise was also quite loud. This isn’t the hotels fault, but I wouldn’t pick the location again due to the area.

- 3/5
The room was clean. The place is really run down and needs a serious update. The beds were hard, the pillows were thin. The price was cheap, I guess you get what you pay for. Lots of yelling outside. Don't know if it was other guests or what. I didn't go out to look and see. Would look for something closer to the L train to use their public transportation system. I didn't know about it befroehand.
- 1.5/5
The parking lot was convenient It was dirty, a lot off rif faff in the area

Location That when needed of clean towels always not available & if I extend u had to change rooms to much
- 5/5
Hotel was perfect location for the national card show very safe close to any fast food restaurants
- 3/5
I did not like the thought, that it’s advertised as bath/shower, went to speak with manager because I wanted to bathe, he said that bathtub is unable to be filled with water, I explained that they should not advertise a tub when you can only shower, I was very upset because I have limited standing capability, so would not stay again!!!!!!!!
- 4/5
Cheap for a girls trip to Chicago. We really only slept and showered here. The commute can get long due to traffic, but it wasn’t a big deal. The room was fine and safe, the only thing that bothered us was that the towels did not seem well cleaned. But the inn itself was in fair condition and no one bothered two small girls. I didn’t notice a smell. Very close to good food and the highway. Room service came every day, all was well.
- 3.5/5
This place wasn’t that bad, it did it’s job, the room was dated but clean and the bed was comfortable.. it’s worth the cheap price… we got there early 11am and they accommodate us for an extra $20, which was great because check in time is 3pm.. the area was cool, I’m a black female traveling with another female and we didn’t feel unsafe. We even walked to the store at night.. I had a smoking room and it didn’t even smell like cigarettes or weed at checking in.. I didn’t experience any loud noise or ppl hanging around. It’s a few food places, Walgreens, liquor store, hair store, dispensary and gas stations in walking distance… the lady at the front desk was very friendly The only thing I really didn’t like is the uber/lyft fees … depending on what your during $25-30 but we paid $8 to blue line train and that took us downtown… also the $10 deposit for iron…
- 2.5/5
nothing to like! I guess I liked that they have a bed with no bed bugs lol kinda far, staff is not very ATTENTIVE and THE ROOM SMELLED BAD.
- 3/5
The staff and room were fine. It was the cops being called twice in the area and the loud party people. Sure, it was a Saturday night but - way too loud for a motel. But again, room was huge, good shower, and bed was awesome. Just wish it had been quieter
- 5/5
it was definitely aged, but it was clean and cozy! for the price and what i got i have no complaints and will gladly stay again! it in a poorer neibor hood, but it’s still safe i felt. around lots of food options and walgreens is a 5 minute walk away in case you forget anything for your stay(i did haha). room service everyday is appreciated greatly! it also has AC and heat to adjust the temperature to your liking. workers were very kind. thankyou travel in for a truly amazing trip!

They argued with about the location of my rooms they also argued about which room I was in because I left my room key inside of the room this was a horrible experience all around customer service Sucked VERY UNPROFESSIONAL
- 5/5
What could be improved: – We found false eyelashes and hair on the floor. – There was quite a bit of dust on the baseboards. – The lighting in the room was quite dim. Thank you for a nice and restful stay! 👍
- 1/5
Needs to do better job when a customer tells them about their room
- 4/5
It’s a ok place but had burn holes in the covers and when I asked for different ones I was told they didn’t have access to them but I was to tired to find another hotel and I was from out of town
- 5/5
The only issue is that Google/Apple Maps has a hard time locating the facility. The staff member we spoke to said they have tried working with them but so far haven’t been successful in getting it fixed. No fault of the hotel, but we almost didn’t make our check in deadline because of it.
- 5/5
Affordable room for qhat it is worth
- 5/5
They were willing to early check me. I was traveling from Philadelphia.
- 2/5
Supposed ‘non-smoking room’ was a joke as I can still smell it in our clothes when we got home. We DO know the room had just been cleaned given that the floor was entirely to wet. They was dangerous, but without grab-bars or anything on the floor of a slippery tub, the shower was even more so. In retrospect we should’ve just tossed the (dirty) bath mat directly in the tub! Doesn’t draw the best crowd either.
- 5/5
Room was very nicely updated!

Above expectations for the price. Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable and well worth the money.

It was good stay while visiting Chicago, all as expected.

The Bed was about 1meter off the ground and the most comfortable I have slept in a budget Hotel. The smell of MarryJane was wafting thru the air and some how thru to the exhaust fan in the toilet...For the price okaydokayfine

- 3/5
My overall all feeling of my stay was disappointing. I was glad I rented the room for only one night. The room was unappealing and it looked old. The hair dryer didn't work and the iron was missing. The bathroom tub was chipped and the soap container was locked to the shower wall. I didn't feel safe. The staff didn't seem friendly. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
- 2/5
My door would not stay closed unless you slammed it
- 4/5
I was worried but knew we just needed a place to pass out on NYE. Pleasantly surprised that the room was clean and everything worked! Parking is free. Check in was easy. It’s bare bones, nothing fancy. But it’s exactly what we needed and we felt safe!
- 3/5
It’s okay come here from time to time
- 5/5
You can tell its a motel folks live at. Over all though we were only there to sleep, we werent there throughout the day. Fridge needed cleaned better, and the stopper for the tub didnt work (i know ew who wants to take a bath in a motel) it was needed for other reasons. Bed and pillows were very comfy. Front desk guy was nice, but he had to call me back down after check in due to a mistake on his end (not a huge deal) Not being from around the area and being from a small town it was a tad intimidating, but we made it back home safe.
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
If you are looking for some fancy stay, you won’t find it here. This is an old school motel really close to Loyola Medical Center. Overall room cleanliness was ok. I’ll say cleanish. Had a double bed, and the one I slept in was a little stiff, but I’ll survive. If you don’t have high expectations but need a budget friendly room for a night or two this works. I only picked this place because of its proximity to the hospital. It worked for us. Lots of restaurants in the area. Popeyes across the street is a bonus.
- 4/5
It was quiet and lots of restaurants within a block or two.

My stay was very inconvenient in terms of everything possible. The area was too shady and dangerous. Well that’s on me, i booked the hotel. But what about the dangerous situation that arose at the night? There were 2 drug addicts homeless people blocked pur way at stairs. Even the night guy couldn’t help us. We got the room at 4:40 pm even though the checkin time was 3
- 5/5
No hidden fees
- 3/5
Good value option near downtown if you are just not planning to spend a whole lot of time in the room and just need some place to crash overall
- 1/5
I slept in my clothes on top of the covers. Appeared to be reasonably clean but I think it was a pay by the hour by the way the room was set up
- 4/5
It's been around for a while, but the bed was comfortable and the room was clean...I'd stay again...
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Clean room.
- 4/5
The moment we walked into the office to check in, there were these two ladies screaming and yelling at the lady at the front desk and I honestly felt bad for her cause literally no other workers seemed to even be there to help her. It took about 15 minutes for us to finally check in after their altercation and even after checking in there was this weird older man who’d just look at me and my friend while walking around doing nothing. It was honestly a sketchy area with ghetto people. But inside the room was fine. It was very nice to have a fridge and microwave.
- 3/5
Poor parking area, however the room was very clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Did not feel especially safe outside.
- 3/5
Just ok
- 5/5
The room was clean and well stocked. The staff were friendly and ensured we had what we needed. The only issue we had was the shower. The shower head needs to be changed. The water pressure was not enough to thoroughly rinse my hair and it seems to have lime build up because it sprayed awkwardly. The water pressure in the sink and tub faicet was great so it seems to be just the shower head.
- 5/5
The staff was nice. Hotel room very clean. I am going to stay here a couple nights again soon
- 5/5
I like Travel Inn the room was clean the bed was made the bathroom was clean no complaints very quiet on the inside 5 stars will be back again
- 3/5
I started off to a good night until i n the middle of the night there was a banging noise coming from the room next to mine. The staffs were unable to control an angry customer. I didn't sleep.
- 1/5
I tried to cancel my booking due to illness and when we called to cancel, they did not know their cancellation policy. He literally said, ‘I don’t know’. Now I’m out $95. I have no idea what the room even looked like.
- 5/5
Good

For the price i was expecting better than what i couldve gotten for less than half the cost. Noisiest hotel i have ever stayed in.
- 5/5
Our stay was great. We will book here again.

Amazing
- 1/5
Room itself was ok and clean enough but the place has a rundown look and had a weird smell . Corridors to rooms are exterior - this is a drive up motel . Sketchy clientele - did not feel safe here . Checked out early .
- 1/5
Horrible smell horrible
- 4/5
The clerk gave me a ground floor room, he took notice of my limp (bad knee). Very kind.
- 3/5
Very noisy Ac/heater. Keeps waking people up whole night. Spacious room. Bed was very comfortable. There was a nice small fridge and microwave.
- 5/5
Peaceful
- 5/5
Routinely well cleaned and well maintained
- 3/5
This property could use an upgrade..No lamp next to the bed. Everything is Run down...Microwave very nasty..Holes in the sheets..For the location, A disappointment...
- 3/5
We could hear what was going on outside our room, but we didn't really hear anything going on in the neighboring rooms. The bathroom was updated, but there was only one bedspread in a room with two beds. It was a very no-frills, inexpensive place to sleep for the night.
- 2/5
Horrible matters, hard hard hard. Not enough pillows or blankets or bath towels. No hand towels. Suspicious framed mirror facing the bed made us think it was a two-way. Icky icky
- 5/5
We love Travel Inn it has always been a special place to us in our relationship. We will definitely be back!
- 3/5
It was fine. Room was clean, bed was huge, towels changed daily. Lots of noise outside due to other guests and the main road. Too far out of Chicago so a bit of a pain but reasonable transport for a decent price so still doable. Staff were nice and price was great.
- 5/5
Very nice staff felt comfortable and safe!
- 5/5

My hat and shorts were stolen from my room and the the employees didn’t do anything about it. I think it was the room service people. Definitely would never recommend this place to anyone. You will hear sirens and noise 24/7. It’s unsafe and dirty. DO NOT STAY HERE.
- 4/5
It was an alright stay and provided enough comfort to stay in.
- 1/5
Dont stay with kids here
- 3/5
Overall the room was clean but would have appreciated a daily visit from housekeeping. Also, it would have been nice to have a Do Not Disturb sign.
- 4/5
Hotel served its purpose for a music festival weekend. Bed was comfy. Fridge and microwave worked. Shower water was hot, wifi worked. Housekeepers and front desk were friendly.
- 5/5
So convenient for the few days we were there. Staff was pretty helpful too.
- 2/5
THen at 3 AM I had someone knick on the door. I was right above the office, so I think I may have been given a room that had other uses!
- 3/5
The staff are nice but the hotel is very smelly, I couldn’t sleep all night because of the stinky smell of the sheets
- 4/5
Super quick check in.
- 2/5
Street noise disturbed sleep.
- 1/5
The staff didn't want to work. The drawers were dirty. There was stuff all over the walls & ceiling. The people next door did nothing but fight. Toilet & bathroom was not clean. Pillows were flat and beds were hard and uncomfortable. STILL waiting for the manager to contact me about it.
- 5/5
Quick and easy check in
- 2/5
Nothing to do with the pictures on the expidia app it was cool and we have to ask them to move us to a different room heater wasn’t working properly and we move to a diferen hotel and not to save when you have kids …
- 4/5
Nice room
- 4/5
I stayed there because it was very close to Loyola Medical center, it supplied to what I needed. Snacks were very fresh which surprised me,
- 5/5
The front desk clerk was professional and polite. I was checked in and had a room key in less than 5 minutes.
- 4/5
I was nervous about this motel, it's location and appearance. The room is very basic, but surprised me with how clean the room was, the bed slept well, the WI-fi worked great. Shower had plenty of hot water. The A/C worked great. The microwave and fridge worked great. Only problem was the lack of lamps, only had the over head lights. If I ever get back to this area, I will stay here.
- 4/5
This is one of those "long-term" places where people actually live here in between homes, i guess. Nice amenities but no iron. It was clean for the most part but I saw a roach which was alarming. Had to check for bedbugs after but there were none.
- 5/5
Thanks
- 1/5
Very very disappointed. The manager running the front desk was extremely rude during check in and every time we went to the front desk to ask for something. Blankets were faded, dirty, and one had what looked to be cigarette burns in it. Towels were filthy. Bathroom had hair all over the floor - looked like it hadn't been swept in weeks. Floor in bedroom was sticky in front of beds and dresser.
- 5/5
Pretty decent place to spend couple of nights.
