Comfortable, generally clean. The bathroom needed some cosmetic work. Rust staining on the tub, water damage to the ceiling over the tub. Front desk staff was not friendly. Very serious but not welcoming. Breakfast was good.

I didn’t stay there for a very long. I choked in at 7 PM and left for the airport at 3 AM but I had a good night sleep and I don’t know what other amenities they had or if they had breakfast or not, but it was pretty clean and I slept really well.

Surprisingly one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in a while. We chose because it was close to Credit Union 1 Arena. Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast included healthy choices like Greek yogurt and egg white omelette. Coffee was excellent.

We did not have a very good check in process. The lady at the front was highly rude with an attitude. We arrived 20 minutes after check in time and our room was not ready for an additional 20 minutes.. she seemed very bothered with us and basically pushed us aside to help others without any information as to what was going on with our room.

Bathroom could have been cleaner. Room seemed fine. It was so loud, because I was on the busy road side. Constant cars all night long.

Not clean - no hot water - broken ice machine - phone not working so couldn’t call the front - never a clerk at counter to even ask for help with all the issues and the breakfest was very lack luster - they didn’t clean room for next night even with us requesting it - I always stay at holiday expresses because they had always been so nice this one in hillside Il was down right terrible!

No one at the front desk, waited for over 30 minutes the I was given a key for a door that would unlock but not open....

I arrived late on a stormy night to a warm greeting at the front desk. Check in was smooth, my room was clean and comfortable, and I slept well. The next morning I found varied offerings in the breakfast room. I am a savory breakfast person and had a good meal. Everyone was friendly. I had to check out early, so I did not see the pool or other amenities. The hotel was conveniently located. I have stayed there before and will again.

Little disappointed in this Holiday INN. Poor hot water supply. Tried to shower between 5-6am and again between 8-9am. We let the water run for 10-15mins hoping it would get hot. Unfortunately never really got passed warm. Room 523. Tried to tell someone when we checked out but no one was at the front desk after we waited 10mins. So we gave up and left.

Staff never answer the phone it’s ridiculous because what if there was an emergency or something kids running through the hallways all night very loud and loud music coming from other rooms it was horrible room 212 had bus in there definitely wasn’t worth my time or the amount they ask for per room been waiting over 3 weeks for my deposit back for the room deposit just everything was horrible staff for the front desk always hiding in the back never at the desk!

Breakfast was great! Pool area was not good at all smelt mildew/mold and the water was cloudy and dirty! Rooms were spacious and clean except handprints on mirrors & headboards. Parking was easy. Staff were friendly.

The hotel was in good repair although the prices have gone up a lot. The breakfast is decent, the rooms seem clean which is rare, and it’s in a central location. Cons: it’s much pricier since the renovations, the doors slam as if they don’t have a spring, and the guest were kinda disruptive; loud kids until midnight, smoking in the next room which traveled to my room. Most likely a result of spring break. Would stay again with the right price.

The sofa bed mattress was not good firm quality, bad for back. The front desk did not have anyone most of the times The front desk staff was not very courtious answering simple questions as if they were doing some favor.

We loved it. The room was clean. The breakfast was amazing and the customer service was great our favorite hotel.

No answer from the front desk the whole time I was there calling something could have been wrong no answer! Kids running all through the hallway all night loud music from room 325 children were also from that room that was in the hall ways running and being loud for nearly an hour and a half! Highly not recommended!

Bathroom needed attention - the sink is severely cracked, the bathroom door does not stay open unless a trash can is placed in front and the tub drain is missing (the drain is wide open and not safe for small children.) The room was just fine, clean and AC was cooling well. Target and a few other stores are very close and are only a short walk through the parking lots.

With a freight train below, and a very busy street, followed by the nearby highway it's is freakishly LOUD in this hotel. Moreover, the trash truck or perhaps a dump truck came in the middle of the night and kept banging banging banging against something. It sounded like dumpster wars outside. The room was clean, the bed and pillows were fantastic, but I couldn't sleep because of all the NOISE! Maybe replace the windows?

Great parking, update rooms. Miss the hot tub. Could have better variety of breakfast food but can’t complain too much. Can hear other clientele slamming their room doors at all hours of the night and can hear the traffic go by all night by the highway.

Customer service was trash he didn't want to help much, not much help. For information, Rome had a stench will never stay again. And it took about a hour for someone to even come to the desk to even check us in

Our room was fairly clean but there was some purple glitter on the tables and a hook was broken. The pool area was messy with wet towels and eyelashes on the deck, and hair in the pool. The front deck clerk was very friendly and helpful though. Unfortunately my daughter and I had food poisoning from the sausage at breakfast—no one else in the family had the sausage.

This hotel is very comfortable, spacious, and nice—like a complete package, and it exceeded my expectations. I really like this hotel. Transportation to downtown Chicago is also very easy from here. The key is to avoid Forest Park Station; instead, take the line toward the airport first. It’s a bit of a detour, but much more comfortable.

Suite was clean and ready for us. This is the second time staying here. We will stay again.

Terrible experience! No internet, no blow dryer, and no one would pick up the phone at the front desk. I called corporate while at the hotel and they also couldn’t reach the front desk. When I went downstairs, the lady acted annoyed that I was asking about WiFi or internet. She said this hotel does t have it. Don’t stay!

This hotel should be rated much higher than it shows on social media. Its clean, simple, large bathroom area, has parking, just an overall nice hotel. This was a win for me! Money well spent for what you get!!! Will definitely go back again.

We booked this hotel as it was recommended to me as a vendor at the soccer card show @Chicago Soccer Fields. It was only 3 miles from the show which was a +. When we checked in at 5:00pm our room still wasn’t ready. Only 1 elevator worked and the buttons wouldn’t light so you never knew if it was working. After waiting 5+ minutes we decided to walk to the 5th floor. The first night, after trying to make an adjustment to the temperature, it was on 60, the air wouldn’t work anymore. We were told maintenance would be there by 11:15. Stayed up until 11:45 and never saw anyone. Thankfully the one nice desk clerk we encountered gave us a fan, which helped. Each day we would gather our dirty linens and find a housekeeper to get new linens. There was very little sleep on Friday and Saturday night as there were lots of motor bikes and campers in the parking lot and they raced up and down in front of the hotel most of the night. This hotel needs a lot of work, which I hope they get soon or they might not last long.

The room and included breakfast were great. However, the two elevators had issues the entire stay with very little communication about when or if those issues would be fixed. We were on the 4th floor, so it mattered.

We booked this hotel outside of Chicago hoping for a little luxury and a nice pool for the kids. But it was not what was posted online: the pictures on Hotels.com were not the pictures of the hotel we arrived at after a 6 hour drive. We were disappointed. The pool gave our kid a rash and the pool pictures looked nothing like on the website. We felt scammed. There was no streaming TV and our toilet clogged within minutes and we were told to unplug it ourselves (the lobby had a plunger). We didn't blame the staff but poor management from above. The price was way too high for what the hotel offered. Thumbs down.

Smart TV in room but couldn’t connect to streaming services despite creating a Samsung account. Calls to front desk, housekeeping etc resulted in automatic busy signal. Calls to hotel from personal phone also just had a busy signal for more than an hour. Stopped down at front desk and was told streaming wasn’t available and guests could only watch a handful of channels on live tv. (Judge Judy, anyone?). 75% of parking lot was cordoned off for a paving project so it was fortunate there was an adjacent shopping center to park in.

I thought they did a good job on the free breakfast, staff seemed friendly and things were clean for the most part. I also liked that it was very close to the zoo we went to. However the shower had some issues and after one shower, the bathroom floor and hall outside the bathroom flooded out horribly so I'm not sure if the drain was clogged or why that happened but it was my only complaint about our stay there

The hotel was nice mind you i was only there for one night but my room was great and very clean. Inly tbing i wish they had a plastic for for noodles i bought unless i missed them rhen oh well to me but the clerk that checked me in was attentive to the game he was on his phonehe still checked me on fine but the customer service could have been better.

It was conveniently located about 10-15 minutes from downtown Chicago for our visit. There are alot of shopping and restaurants near by. The room was clean and comfortable, only odd thing was there wasn’t a phone in the room to call the front desk.

I booked this hotel so we could relax after we drove to Chicago for the day. I don't have a lot of money so of course I need one thats budget friendly but just because its budget friendly DOES NOT mean it should be run down and NASTY. Immediately upon walking in the front door was creaking like it needs some wd40 and that was my sign it wasn't going to be good. I checked in got my key to my room and when I got to my room I did an inspection as I always do when I stay in a hotel and upon my inspection I found a bed bug smushed and stuck to the bedding. Now I have a thing for clean sheets and that right there for ONE tells me they didnt bother changing the bedding or I wouldn't have found that and for two DO SOMETHING about bed bugs shut down and get it treated instead of just letting people sleep with that and risk taking it home. I took a picture of the evidence marched it up to the front desk and said we are not staying and instead of relaxing a bit I had to get back in my car and continue driving into the night to come back home. RIDICULOUS. I showed them the evidence but are they going to get pest control in and start treating?? trying to prevent?? Probably not. If i was a hotel owner id be ashamed people are spending hundreds of dollars even with their small children to stay in nasty....

Staff at check-in was very rude and impatient. No towels by pool and hot tub was closed. Water in shower and sink brown! Highway traffic very loud. Elevator very slow, clunky and lights were out. Website said adjoining rooms when we booked and we did not get this.

Convenient location. We had to change from the first room offered because the air unit had an irritating rattle and loud. Second room was clean and quiet. Bed way too soft. They are remodeling so elevators and lounge area not the cleanest. Breakfast had limited selections compare to other Holiday Inn Expresses.

I liked the convenience to stores and restaurants within walking distance. I liked that the pool was open and there were hot breakfast! I had a clean room also. The women working the breakfast were rude/sarcastic when asked about items. There's no free water. There's construction going on around lobby. The front desk never answered the phone that's linked on Google. There were a few times during my stay where the front desk person was not there

We had an amazing time, this was our first time staying here. The only thing I would change is the pool it was freezing cold and they had the air on in there. That’s crazy way too cold to even enjoy ourselves.

Staff explained to use the phone to call front desk for any issues during the check-in but they know that the phones were not working. Dont know why anyone will misguide the customers. Later, during our stay we tried to call the front desk to resolve a technical issue in our room and phones were not working. We went down to the front desk and there was note left saying "the front desk is busy helping other customer" (which i dont believe) i waited for 20mins and left a note with my room # at the desk to call or reach out to us and there wasNo response from the management. The next day when i explained the situation to the front desk person, they agreed that phones were not working, they knew about it and also gave a silly excuse for not responding for my note. They seemed careless and felt like they do not care about the situation.

We checked in smoothly, but our room was not clean. Our phone did not work, and we had no remote control to watch TVtelevision

The desk lady was very sick at our check in 12/27 around 7 pm. She wore a mask but I felt bad for her having to work sick, she could barely talk. Also not good for a customer service. Otherwise, decent shopping around the area and good cinnamon rolls at breakfast.
