Travelodge by Wyndham Brunswick near Frederick

We tried to sign up using booking.com. The date was wrong we tried repeatedly to change it, but always received a message from the hotel that no one could talk with us and we would get a call back. Never received that call.

The room was small but comfortable. The bed was too soft, but that's just me. I prefer a much firmer than average mattress. Having the diner right on site was great. The service was awesome & the breakfast delicious. I'd have no problem staying here again, or even just coming to eat.

Nice place for a short stay. No pool no surprise but spacious rooms and staff was friendly.

The BED was tiny and the room temp was cold. I love this little hotel because it is pet-friendly and provides a nearby accommodation to our favorite spots like Harpers Ferry and Bear Chase, BUT...the bed could not possibly be an actual QUEEN size bed.

My family & I had the pleasure of staying here for six nights. After a long & overwhelming flight, check in went smooth. Our room & bathroom was so clean. They offer coffee machines, washer & dryer, the 24 hour diner is awesome too. We had an excellent experience here!

We were on a bicycle trip. They had a bike washing station for us with towels and cleaning supplies for the bikes. They thought d everything.

For this for accommodation, the price was way too high for no more than what we got. I stayed in Metropolitan areas in the same price and more to offer. For sure I’ll never stay in that particular hotel motel again if I’m in the area.

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary My parents came to watch the kids at our house so we just wanted a night away and they have a stupid rule that a resident of the town can't stay there. Luckily a hotel just up the road gave us a much needed night away together. It's a shame they look at people that way, without even bothering to just see them as two parents who were celebrating a special day together.

It's not the same hotel that it used to be. It's worn out and I've stayed at this hotel for years, and I've in this actual room before. There's a lingering odor that I suspect is from someone having smoked in it before. The cleaning staff are nice and I like them. The hotel is still a better option than staying in Frederick, which has turned into a dump.

Penny's diner was open 24/7 so we could leave on our bikepacking trip early in the afternoon. The bfast was very good and at a reasonable price. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. supportive of bike packing the C&O. Had a seperate room for bike storage.

Convenient location near multiple parks, hiking and horse activities. Convenient restaurant Penny's Diner onsite is open 24 hrs. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Nice hotel, the room was clean. You check in at the fun diner across the parking lot. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room did not come with an ice bucket but had the liners by the ice machine, which was odd, Maybe I missed something! This hotel has 2 floors and no elevator. I wish I knew that since I use a cane. Other than that, it was a nice stay.

For the cost of the room there should have been some type of complimentary continental breakfast. There wasn't even a coffee maker in the room. Our room was not cleaned or straightened the whole three days we were there. My granddaughter who rented a room for a week, only had her room straightend one time, they were also refused service at the diner one evening because the person on staff didnt know how to run a shake machine. There were a few other minor things, but this is the biggest issue. There were at least 6 rooms rented for the occasion and I am pretty sure no one was satisfied.

Nice clean place at a reasonable price. Housekeeping staff is gracious and kind. THere is no front desk. Check in/out and anything "front desk" has to happen at diner adjacent to the hotel. A little inconvenient, but not a big deal.

Not much. The location was on the edge of town. No water or breakfast or even coffee. You do not get anything other than a bed and bathroom.

The property was good,but when we got to our room and turn the tv on it was in Spanish but you would think it would be in English everything you get into a room.

The dinner had excellent food. All the staff members were so helpful and the room was so clean you would have thought we were the first guests to use the room! The next time we visit family we will definitely stay at this hotel.

Okay for a brief stay.. left the room at 10 am and room was not made up. Train whistle and dog barking in background. Bring a noise machine. Price was right and connecting diner was adorable

Loved the hotel but the bike ride up to the hotel was steep! If they cater to bikers they should incorporate a shuttle service to the hotel. Biking down the next day was easy and fast.

I was running daily on the nearby C&O Canal towpath and returning to the room each evening. The Travelodge has been recently renovated and is impeccably clean. The room allowed me to spread out my gear, making repacking my hydration pack easy each morning. Great water pressure and temperature in the shower. Penny's Diner, adjacent to the Travelodge, offered breakfast 24/7, which made refueling at the end of a long day convenient, tasty, and very affordable! We stayed here for three nights and loved it!

Difficulty checking in due to computer issues, for which the staff were apologetic. Don't bother signing for a coffee maker for the room- the coffee at Penny's Diner is much better!

Very clean and up to date. Drawbacks were no coffee maker in room and no free breakfast. Price is almost identical to local motels with both. The diner was convenient but adding a $30 breakfast at the diner made the stay more expensive than other local places.

Bike friendly, be careful of the route gps sends you, avoid 2 nd street hill at all costs

Exceeded my expectations. The restaurant was convenient. The staff was helpful in storing my e-bikes and there was an easy to use coin operated washer and dryer. We arrived muddy on bikes and there was a convenient hose to use. Rooms are large, clean, and comfortable.

When we got here we found out there was a computer glitch and our reservation was accidentally cancelled. The stress level was not fun waiting to find out if we still could be accommodated. We had to take a single queen and a cot instead of two queens, which wasn’t the best scenario but better than being roomless. The owner did adjust our rate to reflect 1 bed. We tried opening the window for some fresh air but the propane tanks were outside our window and you could smell them. The 2 people working at the diner were very friendly and helpful.

The room was clean and the diner was pretty good. Overall, the hotel is sketchy and you don’t get a good feeling about leaving your car in the parking lot. This place is good for one night if you need to be in the area for a reasonable value, but otherwise I would look elsewhere. We would not stay again; in fact, we left a day early.

It’s a basic, prefab building, but very clean, our king room was very spacious, with comfortable bed and good furnishings, all in all it was nicer than expected.

The room was very clean and spacious. It's very close to the Brunswick Family Campground where were meeting with some friends. There is no front desk, and check-in is at the diner but it was very smooth and the people were very nice. Definitely reccommended.

I loved the restaurant out front, the place was very clean and quiet. On the other hand I didn’t like the lack of safety bars in the bath tub there were no bars at all.

My first take was how odd, but the property lived up to it's rating! A clean room, quiet, facilities all good. The diner worked and we got food when we needed it. My only complaint was typically hotels have a way to have coffee without charging (either in room or lobby) and this place you had to pay diner rates for it. Otherwise, it was nice.

Whats not to like about a new hotel? Everything a bicyclist needs is here after riding the C&O. You can bring your bike in the room,a diner is next store,and you get to enjoy a downhill coast back to the trail in the morning. Perfect stop.

The staff were incredible, the check in process smooth, the on-site diner was fantastic - overall definitely a 10 out of 10.

The good - a clean, modern room. The bad - no lobby in hotel (check-in at diner next door - first clerk had no idea how to check-in, second clerk greatly confused - initially couldn't find reservation for 1st room (reservation for 2 rooms for 2 couples), never could find reservation for 2nd room, didn't know how to look up Wyndam rewards number). Just weird - ice machine in hallway but no ice bucket in room nor drinking container of any type (paper cup, plastic cup, glass, etc); no coffee pot in room, refrigerator minimally functioning with no ability to adjust a thermostat.

I only wish there was a lounge area to sit and visit with family. Otherwise we like to stay here when we are in town.

We were looking for a place to stop during the long drive from Myrtle beach to home. While this location was a little off our route it proved to be our best choice as it is nestled in a very quiet community. Rooms were clean and hotel was also quiet.

I like the idea of a 24 hour Cafe however I couldn’t find many healthy choices for lunch. For breakfast they did not offer English muffins for the breakfast sandwich nor did I see an option for yogurt or a yogurt parfait or fresh fruit to go

I have never checked into a Hotel thru a diner ! Staff was nice and friendly! I forgot my charger in the room luckily the man cleaning it brought it to me ! We were having breakfast in the diner ! Thank You !! The only negative thing I can say is I didn't see a elevator!! Kinda a bummer having to drag your luggage up and down the stairs !!

Really convenient property for visiting Harper's Ferry. Easy drive to the park and hiking areas. Room and property were very clean. Staff was super friendly. I think it's neat you check in at the diner - very unique which is part of the fun. Bed was very comfortable. I appreciate the hotel being pet friendly. I had two labs with me and they were both welcome.

Room is very well thought out and furnishings are of high quality, has everything needed for a comfortable stay: spacious room size, new mattresses, extra blankets (so thoughtful!), armchair, ergonomic desk chair, mirrors, large open closet, high quality and generous-sized wood furnishings. The sink and counter space outside the bathroom is so helpful! A/C, refrigerator worked well. The 24-hour diner was great, staff friendly and personal. I really didn't expect this great quality for the price I paid or for the 2-star level of hotel.

The hotel building is a two floors building. The reception is at the next building, a diner. The receptionist is the waitress. The diner itself wasn't good (mash potatoes was from aix, meatloaf was dry). The room was big and although it wasn't spotless, it was clean enough. The area is full of other hotlels and restaurants.

This place is a gem -- very clean, well-maintained furniture and room, great service, and 24/7 diner next door. I stayed here overnight while biking the C&O canal towpath. You can keep your bike in your room and be sure to ask for a 1st floor room since there are no elevators. To avoid the very steep 2nd Ave hill in Brunswick, take the more manageable gradual climb on Gum Spring Rd. Returning back to the towpath is all downhill.
