It’s too bad people have been stealing the coffee pots so that we now have to check them out at the front desk.

Front desk guy wasn't rude but not super helpful. He said they were running low on keys so we could only have 1 and was pretty flippant about it. Breakfast and room was fine.

Booked at this hotel 100% because of the hot tub and pool; both were not available. Because we didn’t book directly with the hotel, we couldn’t cancel or get any consideration. Very frustrating. Good breakfast and clean room.

The hotel is very conveniently located—just a 10‑minute drive to Palo Duro Canyon State Park, right along the same road and within the same city. The room was clean and well equipped with a TV offering plenty of channels, a coffee maker, microwave, and mini refrigerator. There’s also a Dollar General directly across the street, which was very convenient. The bathroom was clean and stocked with Dove shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, and body lotion. There’s an ice machine located just past the front desk near the cafeteria. The swimming pool and hot tub were a great bonus and much appreciated after long hikes in the park. Plenty of free onsite parking is available. Overall, a comfortable and convenient place to stay. Check‑in took longer than expected, as the front desk staff member appeared a bit confused. We were provided with only one room key and were told that the second set of keys had not yet been received. We had booked the room for two nights, but when we returned on the second afternoon after hiking in the park, the key did not work. I had to go back to the front desk to have it reactivated. I was told that the keys sometimes have issues, though I am not sure whether it was accidentally activated for only one night. The hot breakfast options were limited for vegetarians. While pancakes and bread were available, there were no vegetarian hot items such as hash browns or baked potatoes.

My favorite thing was the blackout curtain. So great I slept way past my usual wake up time—a good thing. Service was great and room was clean.
- 2/5
not holiday inn quality and certainly not worth $200 in a small town. Cost does not reflect the quality expected.

My pillow had a blood stain on it and they just tried to put a pillow case over it. The breakfast said it lasted till 9:30, but they stop putting fresh food out at 9. They dont have a waffle maker, its a pancake maker that makes them smaller than McDonald's. It was close to everything in the area, but i would'nt pick it again because of the pillow and breakfast. The staff were really nice though
- 5/5
Everything we wanted in a room for the night. Friendly staff and very clean rooms and a nice comfortable bed.

Great location in Canyon by the college. Very clean property and nice staff.

The first room we were assigned smelled of cigarette smoke, but they quickly reassigned us to another room. The receptionists were very helpful, kind and professional. The facility was well maintained and we enjoyed the use of the pool. I didn't like that they started packing up breakfast at 9:20am on a Sunday breakfast runs until 10am on weekend) & said they couldn't make any more food. My daughter was really looking forward to the cinnamon rolls, and I noticed 3-4 families come down between 9:30-9:45 asking for more food options & denied, but just offered bagels, bread, juice.

Quiet and peacefull. Quick check in and out. Breakfast bar was lacking, not replenished. Had to scrape gravy to put on partially cooked biscuits. 1 sausage left. Wasn’t what I was expecting from a Holiday Inn Express

- 3.5/5
Overall great A child above us ran literal laps around the room for hours. It was the night before my wedding and I just wanted sleep. No matter what the child would not sleep it was happening until about 1 am. The hotel was packed to the brim but nothing was loud except above us.
- 5/5
Staff and management were very friendly and helpful. Would stay there again. Initial room was not very accommodating and musty.
- 5/5
It was quite good. I like oj, hot tea, yogurt with granola, bananas, and you had all of the above! There really wasn’t anything that I didn’t like.
- 3.5/5
The breakfast was delicious and a great variety. The bed was comfy and the pillows were great, but the bathroom needs some hooks. I also disliked the fact I had an adjoining room! I wouldn’t have booked that room.
- 5/5
I love the place!!!
- 4/5
Great breakfast and warm and welcoming staff...our room was comfortable and clean. One morning they either ran out of food or couldn't get it prepared and out fast enough, several people waiting around to be fed, also the shower pressure was terrible in our room.
- 4.5/5
Cleanliness, Hospitality and Breakfast Parking space is less
- 4/5
Convenient Pool was out of order.
- 3/5
The room had a diaper smell when we got there.
- 4/5
Heater in room was a little noisy.

Stayed in the king suite, the sheets that were on the pull out sofa bed were not clean. I pulled the sheet off and gave to the person that had the cleaning cart in the hall. The gave me new sheets.

- 5/5
The staff was amazing, room clean and one of the bests breakfasts we’ve ever had at a hotel.
- 3.5/5
Room Breakfast was awful
- 4/5
Nice room, staff was courteous, left about $5 of change on table, when we came back it was gone even though we were staying another night. Also had the not ready sign on the door. Don't mind leaving tips for the maids, just make sure we were checked out. Pool and hot tub were not operating, one of the reasons we booked here.
- 5/5
All of the above.
- 4/5
Very disappointed that the pool and hot tub were down, due to the roof repairs. It was the main reason we choose this hotel.
- 3/5
Hotel under construction so a little rough. Could hear activity in other rooms too clearly. Lighting outside a little dim Not usual HIE quality.
- 5/5
Nice room, attentive staff. Good breakfast.
- 4/5

- 5/5
Always great
- 5/5
I always love staying at a Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites. It doesn’t matter where it is! They are all the same with a great staff!
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly, from the front desk clerks to the dining room attendants. Breakfast was your standard hotel buffet fare, but it was well prepared. The shower in the room was fantastic! Best shower I've ever had!
- 5/5
Yes to all. Everyone was lovely, the rooms were wonderful even tho we were located by the AC central unit which was not exaxtly desirable. Was that because we used a 3rd Party reservation system? The only concern was the height of the shower. It was impossible to adjust by a shorter (5'6"inch or sp person and extremely difficult for a senior.
- 4/5
Excellent service
- 5/5
It was clean, quiet, and beds and pillows were extra comfy! Nice hotel!!!
- 5/5
We have stayed here several times. Always friendly staff and clean rooms.

Place was nice, the only thing was room smelled like stinking feet. Carpet stuck
- 5/5
Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
- 1/5
If you reserve here be absolutely sure that you’re going. I reserved and within 15 -30 minutes tried to cancel due to my partner’s health worries and they refused to cancel my reservation. Poor customer service!
- 5/5
Rooms were nice, area is quiet, staff is efficient
- 5/5
Accommodation was great!
- 5/5
Nice place, clean and good breakfast.
- 2/5
The check-in clerk was new & it took excessive time for check-in. Room smelled musty the entire visit. Requested clean towels was told they were all dirty, same story on blanket request. The breakfast staff were outstanding and the breakfast was good.
- 5/5
Room was so spacious ! Like an apartment
- 3/5
I like the pancake machine. Didn't like the yappy dog.
- 4/5
Everything was very nice.Could not use pool first night they had a party in it.The room was great except in restroom the toliet seat was very loose had to be careful sitting down, that was my only issue.
- 3/5
My room was ok, though it was missing bath towels. My parents room triggered my mom to have an asthma attack d/t mold or mildew in the AC.
- 4/5
Location
- 4/5
Not to bad
- 3/5
Friendly people but terrible bathroom
- 2/5
I understand this is a budget hotel and the smell, the service and the breakfast food solidified that, so curb expectations, if you have them... Check in took a while as the front desk person was on the phone when we arrived and that conversation took a bit to resolve. Not a huge deal and they were helpful and friendly after. The room smelled funny but seemed clean overall. We did not have room service come the first day and a note said to call the front desk if we needed fresh towels. Later that evening I called to request a few washcloths, she said she would 'see if she could find some.' When she arrived she told me 'they don't normally deliver' so I told her about the note and she wanted to see it... She then said 'that is an old note they don't do that anymore' as she sighed and rolled her eyes. I guess the hospitality industry is not always hospitable. We didn't ask for anything else the rest of the trip. As for the 'complimentary breakfast' I have not compliments. Pancakes were ok when the machine worked; Eggs were watery, bland and not something I looked forward to. They had a scrambled egg with peppers which they called an omelet, that was slightly better with a piece of bacon added but they only offered it on Thursday. Friday and Saturday were only eggs and no more bacon just 2 different types of sausage. The pool and hot tub were dirty and the only water filling location was in the gym room. Overall our experience was subpar, and I looked forward to leaving.
- 5/5
We stayed 2 nights and everything was great.

- 5/5
Personnel great. Very warm & welcoming
- 4/5
Beds were too soft but otherwise a great stay
- 5/5
Property was well maintained and the staff was very friendly.
- 1/5
The property is fine but we were not made to feel welcomed rather treated as nuisance on arrival. Probably the receptionist was in a bad mood or going through a bad experience. The receptionist in the morning was pretty nice.
- 5/5
Definitely would stay again
- 5/5
Awesome service. The desk attendant was extremely nice and helpful. Room was great. service at breakfast was amazing.

- 5/5
Seemed new. Great condition
- 5/5
Close to palo duro canyon, very nice town, enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
They were able to provide a last minute, pet friendly accommodation. The hotel was very clean and the staff were all so friendly. Nice lawn for walking a dog. Kids loved the pool.
- 4/5
We were in town for a college event. It was a good stay.
- 3/5
Nice hotel
- 5/5
The corner caddy was coming off though. Like someone put too much weight on it and was coming unattached.
- 4/5
Clean, spacious, great breakfast!
- 5/5
The beds were so comfortable! Slept really good. Which is unusual for me because the rooms are usually lit up too much. I like dark when I'm sleeping. Y'all took care of that by having room darkening shades. Loved the walk in shower where you didn't have to stup over into a tub.
- 3/5
Water pressure was terrible, but it looks like the property is trying to make some improvements!
- 5/5
The front desk personnel was super informative, professional and friendly.
- 3/5
Breakfast horribly burned, employees by my door in early morning talking
- 5/5
Clean room and good pool and hot tub for relaxation. Courtious staff.
- 5/5
Nice quiet and comfortable hotel. Good option if you plan a visit to Palo Duro Canyon State Park.
- 3/5
A place to spend the night.
- 5/5
Outstanding, exceeded our expectations. We stayed here at the end of a long trip and we desperately needed a good night’s sleep and we finally got one! I highly recommend this hotel if you’re in the area.
- 2/5
I was charged for 2 sundries that I never bought used or wanted. The clerk said someone may have used my room number with no proof. That is totally unacceptable!
- 4/5
Nice Hotel, Steak House next door has very good food.
- 3/5
Facility is getting run down.
- 4/5
There were some maintenance issues when we arrived but they were quickly attended to.
- 5/5
Clean, easy to find easy way to get to Texas play. Would stay again.
- 5/5
We enjoyed it, great place to stay if you checking out Palo Duro Canyon. Restaurant Texas Rose next door was great
- 4/5
Hotel is in a good location. Everything was clean.
- 3/5
The staff was pleasant but not overly hospitable. They didn’t engage in conversation much or even ask how the stay was when checking out. Sometimes, it’s the little things that mean the most. These are easy fixes.
- 5/5
Great service, good breakfast and very clean and taken care of.
- 5/5
A really nice hotel. The staff is magnificent, especially the woman in charge of the breakfast. She works so hard! The cinnamon rolls are a nice touch!
- 5/5
Clean, well-run hotel with a great breakfast.
- 5/5
One single lift to go upstairs. Looks old too. I will not repeat the site.
- 1/5
Room was not clean. Lobby area was dark and had to go look for someone to check me in. After being there for 4 hours the power went out. Decided to go to another hotel. Manager at first said she couldn't give a refund then said she would do a partial refund and take that or no refund at all. Very rude and unapologetic about the customer being inconvenienced.
- 1/5
The room was dirty.
- 5/5
Great location to visit Palo Duro
- 5/5
Great breakfast, choice of reg sausage or turkey sausage, very good yogurt
- 5/5
My stay was exactly what I wanted. Clean, peaceful and the staff was gracious and friendly.
- 5/5
We are enjoying our stay.
- 5/5
We arrived with our two dogs at about 9 pm. One of our dogs is a puppy, so she had to go out twice during the night. I felt as safe as possible, as there was ample light, the grass was mowed, and I was able to use the side door (with a key for re-entry). The room was nice, clean, and very accessible. They even had JR Watkins and Dove products in the bathroom! We will be returning next time we need a stop in the middle of Texas.
- 5/5
Updated, clean, quiet. Friendly service. Perfect for us when visiting my parents who live in Canyon.
- 4/5
I wasnt so welcome. But room was so beautiful and bathroom was beautiful. We really enjoyedvthe stay.
- 4/5

I e place to stay, staff was great. I would have rated it higher but the construction was a bit of a challenge
- 5/5
everything was good. close to campus and great steak resturant. the breakfast was cooked better than most, sausage was done, eggs were not to runny and area was clean and good seating.
- 5/5
Great little hotel with all the necessary amenities. Friendly and respectful customer service. My service dog was welcomed and had a huge area for pet relief.
- 3/5
In need of a renovation. Not up to normal standard for this chain.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, great location
- 5/5
Close to campus. Clean bathroom and nice sheets with white coverlets.
- 4/5
Was close to the venue I needed to get to. Staff was nice and helpful.
- 3/5
We had to call a phone # to get someone to check in. Forgot my phone in car so had to go back out and get it. Did not tell my secretary that hotel under construction
- 5/5
Beds very comfortable, easy to park with a trailer, staff friendly and helpful
- 5/5
Nice pool and hot tub. All amenities made for a comfortable and pleasant stay. Very handy to Palo Duro Canyon. Pepito’s Mexican restaurant very good and not far.
- 5/5
We booked our room online so we weren’t aware that the lobby was under construction. The room itself was nice & clean. Breakfast was good, staff was friendly. Fresh cookies at the front desk were a nice touch.
- 4/5
Breakfast was great.
- 5/5
Excellent hotel.
- 5/5
Bed is good and air works great in the room.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly, the breakfast was very good.
- 4/5
Property was in the process of a remodel
- 5/5
Excellent service
- 5/5
The staff was awesome. The lobby and halls are obviously being remodeled but my room was great and the staff was too. Enjoyed my stay
- 5/5
Property is undergoing renovations so is a bit messy. Room had already been renovated and was nice.
- 4/5
Central location in town with ease of access to restaurants
- 2/5
Both nights heard everything from people next door. Even the exhaust fan in the bathroom was loud!!
