This hotel is very nice. It may seem away from any special beach views, but you are a easy 20 walk to the Capitola village and a easy 7 minute walk to the beach. Especially one of the best surf beaches off of 41st. We had a suite which was quite large. We had a pull out love-seat that slept one and two comfy queens. There may be two minor complaints, the room was a bit dark and the pillows were flat and kinda hard. But seriously, very modern, updated decor, the secure parking garage, the friendly staff, the included morning breakfast, the pool, gym, location, etc. were all excellent. We will definitely stay here again.

Great breakfast

An excellent hotel, very good value for families. Roughly 480 sq ft per room which is spacious enough. The balcony was a great addition. Breakfast was very good. We enjoyed our stay here

Check in was easy and smooth. Loved the gated private parking specially with little kids was easier getting everyone in and out of the car. Breakfast was amazing every morning. The salt water pool and hot tub was clean and refreshing extra place for the kids to get energy out. Rooms were very very clean nothing was broken or stained gave a peace of mind that we didnt need to be worried we were going to find some hidden nasty or broken something! The whole hotel was just as clean and well put together! Having the laundry room with the washer and dryer was amazing as a mom with 3 kids! Loved that it had an app on my phone to tell me when almost complet and didnt have to look for quarters!!! All staff interactions were great and very friendly! Our kids were sad to go home and are excited to hopefully stay again next summer!!! There was milk cartons at breakfast but non available to buy in the little shop at the front desk. Also no tooth brushes to purchase. Was the one thing forgotten by my husband was a toothbrush. With a toddler having to squeeze a half gallon of milk from the store into the mini fridge was hard. Was hoping to be able to buy a small thing of milk at the front desk just as needed. But thats being very very picky to find something to complain about!

This hotel was clean, modern, functional, and located in an area that had plenty of options.

The facility and staff were great. Complementary breakfast was wonderful. The young lady working check in desk was almost non functional. Not professionally dressed and hair was dirty, oily and barely combed. The hot tub was very enjoyable but regular pool was dirty!!!

The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and the room was clean and comfortable. The jacuzzi tub was AWESOME! Staff should have been looking out for children that were not in control by their parents at breakfast. It was difficult getting something to eat.

The property was great and the room was spacious and beautiful. Unfortunately on my 2nd night, there was noise and stomping coming from the room above me. It went from 9 until 11pm. Again at 3:30 am. Finally it started at 5:15 am again and I just grabbed my things and got a very early start on my long drive home. I did call the front office around 10:30 pm , and they said they would go check out the 3rd floor because alot of kids were staying on that floor. Unfortunately, the stomping never really stopped. Great hotel and location, just book a room on the 3rd floor to avoid any problems:)

After reading many reviews, I decided to stay here for my trip. It's a nice and good quality hotel. The secured parking lot is great. The only part bothers me is the power plug. I have seen the other hotel provides USB ports on the power plug. However, for my room, there was none of them. I hope they can provides this option.

It was a convenient location for what we were doing. It’s a beautiful building, the room was beautiful, clean, comfortable. It was a bit difficult to get to the parking area as you had to go through the drive to check/ in and there were cars parked in a way that made it tight. I was disappointed the hot tub was out of order. It was one of the reasons I picked the hotel.

Everything was so clean, love the service. Felt welcome to the suite.

There is no housekeeping service unless you ask for it, so I wish they told us that when we checked in. Ran out of towels. Breakfast was good, lots of options.

Good location, well kept surroundings, pool and plenty of setting areas. Very comfortable, well equipped, spacious and quiet bedrooms. No bar/hospitality area. Lacking atmosphere. Breakfast area - not what expected of this standard of hotel would describe more like canteen. Food average, paper plates and plastic cutlery however staff friendly and helpful.

Everything was great, the staff were helpful and the breakfasts were good. The only bummer was the hot tub was being repaired, although I did get to use the last night.

We had a nice room with space for the kids. The pool is heated and fun to play in- the spa was broken. Breakfast was nice with a big room and some adults tolerate kids at this hotel. Not exactly a family hotel, but we only encountered one grumpy old lady. Not sure why older people hate kids so much at these types of hotels. We mostly found it fine for our kids to be kids. The location is okay. There is a market and some quick food places nearby. We could easily drive to our planned destinations. The parking garage is great, since there is little parking in the area. It is not secured, but we felt safe and had a fun vacation/gym comp travel experience.

I've stayed here many times. I come back because the rooms are clean and comfortable. It's also a great location for my needs. The one improvement they could make would be the breakfast. It's included so it's not a big deal, but a little effort to expand the options would make a difference for people who are staying there on business for a week or longer.

Fabulously comfy bed and room’s a/c system was excellent. Breakfast was the best I’ve had in this type of hotel. Spa (hot tub) was being repaired so disappointed but pool’s temp was just Right & we enjoyed that.

The only thing we don’t like was the sofa bed. It was very old and uncomfortable. We had to used it as we are a family of 5. We suggest to update those sofas for a more comfortable ones. Besides that, we loved to stay at this hotel.

It was a wonderful stay in Santa Cruz! Rooms were modern, clean and well appointed. Staff were friendly and helpful. There was also a wonderful vintage shop right around the corner!

Check-in was easy; check-out even easier. Loved the breakfast setup. The room was nice and quiet.

I could hear the people in the room above me. But I found my stay mostly quiet, and calm. Very nice. All the staff, but one, were very friendly. The hotel is conveniently located to restaurants, and shopping. It's near the beach, but you, probably, wouldn't walk it. I didn't use the workout room or pool, but they looked lovely, and clean. The breakfast was fine. Lots of choices, good quality foods, well-prepared. All in all, I loved my stay. I would stay, again, for a little respite from home.

Room was spacious,nicely appointed! Had 2 tvs - one in sitting area by jetted tub, other in bedroom! Had refrig & microwave! Comfy bed & lounge chair in bedroom! Great bathroom- huge! Had roll in shower w/rainfall showerhead. Great free hot breakfsst! Waffles/eggs/sausages/ pastries,yogurt/fruit/super good choices! Great staff, would stay again!!

We really liked this hotel. The room was clean, the staff was SO nice and helpful and we were located near the ice machine which was great. They had plenty of parking in the parking structure. We would definitely stay at this location again!

Great location - not as busy/crowded as Santa Cruz but still close enough to the beach and other attractions. Staff is friendly and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

We will stay here again. 15 min walk to the beach, 15-18 min walk to Capitola Village. Rooms are spacious and clean, complimentary breakfast offers good combination of cold/hot food. Waffles were the best! Property is well kept and staff was helpful. Hotel offers parking so you do not have to deal with the limited parking at the beach or in the village. Shadowbrook restaurant offers complimentary pick up from this location.

Television did not work! They did nothing to correct it the entire stay!

Security of parking garage. Your card key is needed to enter parking garage, elevator lobby from garage and use of card key once you get on elevator. Made us feel safe knowing only those staying at property had access to enter

My family had a wonderful stay at this hotel. We booked two rooms and both were clean and very comfortable for our group of 7. The breakfast was great with a variety of options. We would definitely stay here again.

Staff had excellent customer service. The hotel offers a great breakfast. Only two bad things were parking and the second (something I could have requested) was extra bathroom mats.

Great location - walked to Capitola Beach one day and Pleasure Point the next. Nice breakfast with hot food and waffles and more with option to sit inside or out on patio. Hot tub and pool that were perfect temperatures. Nice sized room with sitting room/small living room with tv. Everything in great condition. Sold out and ran out of parking but let us park one car in circle drive right out front which is typically just parking for check in.

Great property. Gated/secure underground parking. A little hard to check in because of limited space at entrance but one will manage. Staff were great. Bed comfortable, spacious room with couch, 2nd TV & balcony area. Would definitely stay here again. No complaints. Great job to the staff & Fairfield Inn at this location.

Hotel had a lot of rooms. Beds comfortable. Great towels but bathtub slippery when taking shower. No anti slip insert. Great Breakfast with good coffee. Disappointed no hot tub.

Beautiful getaway trip with the family.Kids went swimming at night, nice size pool and hot tub. The room accommodated our family of 5 perfectly. Breakfast buffet was great, locals were friendly.We explored Capitola the first night then Santa Cruz the next day. This was the perfect area to unwind feom the daily stress of life and renew yourself with a new perspective.

We had a really nice stay at this hotel. We did have to dry some clothes in the laundry room they have available for guest on site. Unfortunately, the dryer burnt some of our items that we needed dried and I didn’t even have the dryer set at the highest heat level.

The property was clean and well maintained. Very quiet and it felt safe. The central location was close to everything.

Above average. Good size with separate living room and underground parking. Nice pool but vending machines didn’t work. Shadowbrook restaurant (main reason for trip) is very close and easy to get to. Kinda tricky to drive onto grounds (entrance only on 41st Ave).

The breakfast for the most part was good and the staff for the service greeted everyone and worked extremely hard to keep the breakfast area clean at all times. All the housekeeping staff also were very pleasant.

A great experience staying at this hotel. Particularly enjoyed the spacious rooms, all the little amenities (and coffee in the front lounge). Particularly what stood out for me was the breakfast buffet. The food was amazing and high-quality. Martha and Regina do a fabulous job of maintaining the food areas clean, well stocked, and very welcoming.

It was a good overall stay. Everything appeared to be in order and everything was relatively updated and kept clean. No problems with noise and location was good. The only critique the breakfast

Front desk & staff were excellent! Low stars for out dated, & room wasn’t all the way cleaned, was looking for something we thought dropped under couch, and found dirt,toys,pen & then went along beds & found more toys. TV’s small, & older versions, beds were very hard.

This property is clean & cute. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel had a nice gym, pool, & sitting areas. It would have been nice if there were food & drink options available to stay in. We would have liked to have enjoyed a cocktail/meal & relaxed at the property more if this was available. The breakfast staff was so hard working, kind, friendly, and the food was delicious. This was a huge benefit to staying here.

Staff was rude and not at all accommodating. I was reminded several times that because I booked through a third party they could not help me. The pull out sofa that I thought we were getting turned out to be a pull out chair and it was not even as big as a twin bed. The king suite was stated to accommodate 4 guests. There is no way. When I explained the situation to the front desk they told me there was a room available with two queen beds but because I booked through hotels. Com they refused to switch our room and my daughter ended up sleeping on the floor. I will never stay at this property again.
