So, the room was cleaned, but they didn't refill the hand soap. The fridge wasn't on, and we didn't realize it until the next day, so our food went bad. When we finally turned it on, it made this super loud noise. Maybe the last guests turned it off, who knows. And the bedding had a really weird smell. Plus, the furniture looked like it was from the early 90s.

The TV didn’t work. I requested another remote and it still didn’t work. The TV can’t be connected to any streaming platform.

Room keys didn't work 2 different times, water appeared to be running nearby, and no breakfast included.

The restaurant there was fantastic. There was 15 of us that ate there and everyone said there food was excellent. No breakfast offered here. They did have a full service restaurant that you could order from.

I was there for a weekend for graduation. Be aware that there is no complimentary breakfast, as every will be at the restaurant itself

Strong smell of weed in parking lot. Bathroom was nice and clean. Room was clean. Bed was fine. Overall though, not a great experience.

The property was very clean and very nicely decorated. My room was very comfortable and pleasant. I looked forward to returning to the property at the end of day on my second night's stay. I also appreciated that the room was cleaned on the second day. The area surrounding the building was lacking for pleasing views outside the windows from my room.

The staff were polite and efficient. The room was comfortable. Someone in another room had their music loud but I think by 11pm or shortly after it was quiet.

There's always an issue with the 2nd key cards it doesn't fail and it's just frustrating to walk back and forth if you're on the 2nd floor on the other side.

The hotel met our needs. When we were being checked in the gentleman at the desk was visibly annoyed by having to deal with us, which wasn’t a great start.

A beautiful hotel with an outstanding restaurant

It was clean.

It had easy access from the road. There were plenty of places to eat in the area that were not far from the hotel.

Check in was slow and didn't find our reservation for a while. Thought we should of got free breakfast for the price. Very pricey.

Room was clean, just outdated. Some of the furniture was not balanced. The cabinet that the microwave sat on with the refrigerator rocked every time I opened the refrigerator door. The elevator never failed, but I had some concerns.

The rooms were nice. The bedside wall tables were placed too far away from the bed. This meant a person had to get up from the bed to place anything on the tables like glasses, cups, etc.

Suite room, smelled of BO and after letting housekeeping know that we want our room cleaned and time we would be gone, they never cleaned the room. Spent over 500.00 dollars for 2 night stay and didnt even get breakfast. Very disappointing.

Absolutely fantastic hotel. In every way, they exceeded my expectations for a Holiday Inn. The attention to detail, kindness, professionalism, hospitality would have made you think you were at a 5 star hotel. There is an understanding of hospitality here that sets it apart.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were able to provide our son with a shower chair for the tub in his room since he had a cast on his foot. The dining room staff was very pleasant and the food was very good. The hotel is in a good location for us when we visit family.

Perfect for me to stay in Carol Stream, more likely I will stay there again in my next visit to Carol Stream

My wife and I came to spend quality time before our baby is born and this didn't disappoint. We didn't get to swim but the pool looked great.

They put us in a room the farthest from the elevators and main lobby and some kind of air system kept turning off and on all night. No sleep. The toilet was so low to the floor my wife who is handicaped could not get up off it. I had to borrow a porta potty from one of my kids. Otherwise it was a nice room. Expedia get the poor rooms?

I have stayed here multiple times and the staff and building never disappoint.

Rust on shower fixtures. Some bathroom fixtures were missing. The property just felt tired.

We stayed here for a wedding. The room was clean, bed was ok, the staff was friendly but the food in the restaurant was mediocre and the prices were ridiculously high. It cost the 2 of us is almost $50 for a simple eggs, toast & sausage breakfast with coffee. We were charged $3.00 each for a teacup of coffee that was being served for free just around the corner in the lobby. Overall, the stay was fine but note to self, don’t eat at the hotel restaurant.

Our stay for a long weekend was excellent. Staff were friendly and accommodating. We ate breakfast and a late night snack at the restaurant within the hotel which was very good! Rooms were a nice size and clean. Pool was clean and very big. We would stay here again next time we’re in the area!

DON'T Bother. when asking the front desk they denied the ('free' breakfasts) just as well as not great and overpriced. Plenty of local establishments that do a better job for less $$$. Since Hotels got bought seems to have gone downhill.

We have been here several times and each stay has been comfortable and enjoyable. Staff is friendly and helpful, rooms are clean, pool is clean and nice, and the restaurant is great. Also, many places nearby to eat as well.

Excellent stay

Patty went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. She was so sweet and kind to our family during our celebration of life memorial for my aunt.

We mistakenly left two important pieces of luggage in our room. We realized the loss two days later, called the front desk, located the items and within hours had a nearby family member retrieve the bags. I am grateful for the kindness and the professionalism of the staff who helped us. Thank you!!

Staff were friendly and available to help if needed. Furnishings and decor were updated and pleasing. The mattress was comfortable, which is an important comfort factor. The hotel actually exceeded our expectations, as the photos on the site seem to show more worn and outdated facilities.

I booked my stay through Expedia, I have always done the reserve now pay later option and have never had an issue at check in, when I arrived to check in the hotel desk employee that was checking me in, asked for my name and then immediately said we already charged the card you booked the room with on Expedia. And that is not the card I wanted to use I never gave authorization for him to do so or the hotel in general. That is why I always use the pay at hotel option because what if I wanted to pay cash for the room or use a different card at the time of the stay. He did reverse the transaction and told me it would show back up in my account during the week. It was still not ok doing without authorization. He also never once asked to verify my Id or drivers license. I could have been anyone using someone’s reservation.

Convenient location for us and comfortable

Front desk experience was terrible. Staff was rude and arrogant. She escalated the conversation, we got to the brink of arguing. Front desk is hotel’s first and best opportunity for leaving goos impression. Hotel mng. shouldn’t waste this opportunity with staff who are not up for the job.

Staff was friendly and efficient. Hotel was close to my ultimate destination. Restaurant breakfast was tasty and my waitress was very attentive. Room was good, quiet, and I got a good night’s sleep.

It took forever to check in. Not because there was a crowd. They could not find my reservation on the computer. They asked me my name numerous times but would not look at the Expedia e-mail confirming the reservation. Finally, the woman asked me for my last name AGAIN and she found the guy as searching on my first name. From then, everything went fine.

The room was very old and beat up. Yet we paid the same as our family that had a totally updated room. Plus my husband has Parkinson’s and was having trouble walking and they put us on forth floor and when I asked for a wheelchair you did not have any on-site.

The staff were wonderful, food excellent. Did think a safe should have been in the room, the same as most other hotels.

This was my first trip since the pandemic. I'm okay with being told that there will be no housekeeping in my room until 3 nights have passed, but for a 4-night visit, it's a little pointless--I just left the do not disturb sign out at the end. It WAS annoying that they did not put in extra TP, soap, or shampoo, and I had to ask for stuff. Also, as others have noted, the bathroom was not perfectly cleaned before I checked in--I found what appeared to be shaven hair on the wall of the shower. (Apparently there was a man who shaves his face in the shower, with no mirror?) Just a minor annoyance. What was more concerning was that I got sick after my first breakfast. I suppose that's the restaurant's fault, probably an independent company, but it really had a hugely negative impact on my first full day in town. It also made me afraid to order fresh fruit again, and I tried to stick to cooked stuff. I probably should have mentioned it while there, but it was not salmonella or anything that landed me in the hospital, and it passed in 24 hours. This is my 3rd or 4th stay at this Holiday Inn, and I would certainly stay again.
