Carolina Beach Inn

The location is perfect for the area! Walking distance from the beach, boardwalk, restaurants and bars. Room is small but has everything you need. Everything was clean and contactless. A code for the room was sent to my phone making check in and out easy.

I like that you didn’t have to talk to anybody to check in. I liked the coffee bar area and it was stocked with everything you would need for your stay, including feminine products, razors, things for your fur babies, etc.. Parking was awful. No balcony. No pool on property. The yard wasn’t fenced in for dogs.

The location was amazing! We walked everywhere we needed to go. I can’t think of anything we didn’t like.

What a fun and unique little place to stay. Great location. Only complaint was the pull out sofa. You could feel the springs in the mattress. I felt bad having my kids sleep there. It would have been a really issue if it were adults.

Property was very clean and conveniently located. has the feel of a bed and breakfast. The bed was not comfortable at all

The queen rooms shower head was dirty and coming out the wall. We had to keep pushing it back in so it didn’t fall on us. It definitely needs to be replaced the nozzle has crust all around from hard water and being rusted and old. The toilet paper was very hard and cheap. The AC was going in and out. We stayed here before but in a bigger room, but this time was terrible we ended up leaving early. The showers are extremely small hard to move around and get really clean. The location is convenient but I wouldn’t stay here again. Definitely needs to be remodeled and up to date. It’s clean, just old and outdated needs to be updated.

We loved the Carolina Beach Inn. The suite we had was just the right size with our two dogs, and the back patio was nice for relaxing after our daily adventures. The property was clean and well maintained with easy parking right in front of the building. Love being just 2 blocks off of the beach and able to walk to all of the shops and restaurants. We will definitely stay here again!

Parking was limited but we got lucky. The text we were supposed to receive on the day of our trip with our room info and door code never happened and it took us an hour to get hold of someone to get our room info .

The perfect spot to stay when visiting Carolina Beach. It’s self check-in which my introverted self loves. It’s two blocks from the beach and next to the boardwalk as well. Great price for the location and space.

Crowded room, the door hit the bed trying to get into the room. No room to eat,no coffee maker, no ice machine. The room stayed cold no way to adjust the temperature.

Clean & friendly staff

It was a great location! We did not have a remote in the room and I called the number and a nice guy took care of it right away. Great customer service. The shower was small and the water kept going from cold to hot while you were in the shower.

We absolutely love staying here! We’ve stayed twice so far and plan to stay more! Great location, great rooms and love that we were able to bring our fur babies with us! Check in and out is so easy! The rooms are spacious and provided with all things needed!

This was a nice little place to stay for a night!

I had a great time staying here and would definitely stay again. Great location. My only issue was the room size, but I booked same day as our trip so there were limited rooms available and I did not do as much research as I should have, so definitely my own fault. The single room was very compact and did not have a porch. If you're staying for more than a night, a suite is definitely the wiser choice.

I wish there was dedicated parking

The room was clean and comfortable. No paper towels and only 1 roll of toilet paper. Also, dogs barking all night long.

Carolina Beach Inn was so beautiful nice and clean, but the only thing that I didn’t like is that if your dog barks, you cannot have a later checkout

You park right at the motel entrance. There is no onsite staff, but apparently you are monitored by video cameras. One guest had a giant rotweiller dog that made me feel uneasy when I was in the hallway with my much smaller senior dog. TV choices are what’s on Roku. You are encouraged to sign in with your own paid subscription apps if you want something to watch. Central air without a thermostat and limited air flow . But you can turn on the loud window unit all night to stay cool. It is what it is.

Keep in mind that this is a pet friendly hotel so you can hear dogs barking if they are bothered by noise of people coming up and down the stairs, opening doors, etc.

I was not able to access this property. I can not climb stairs. I told both the property agent and the booking hchat I wished it cancel. I could not climb the stairs. When I booked I understood the room was ground floor.

It was great! What a cute, homie little place! Lived my stay.

Internet went out. Shower was very tiny and I had to fix the shower head myself.

My wife could not breathe in the pet friendly room. Previous dog odors bothered her tremendously. The bed was comfortable. Typical beach town room smells. Some guests are more sensitive to the odors than others. Lice and learn.

The location was close to the boardwalk and all the restaurants. Walking distance to the beach. It was a quiet area as well. The room was quite small. It could use a bigger refrigerator and at least a griddle skillet to make food.

Good location to everything. Room looked very clean. Staff was easy to communicate with. However, we weren’t able to stay the night due to the fact that the door wasn’t able to open didn’t, it was up against the bed. This problem made our trip end before it began. We were promised a refund due to this rather troublesome situation. Hope we get refunded.

Location was great. It was a peaceful night. Everyone respected the rules of the Inn. Very convenient to everything. Will definitely stay again. Maybe offer some muffins for breakfast but wasn’t necessary.

Great room for a one night stay. The self check-in and out was new but great too.

The place was actually pretty well run for not having a front desk. I'm old school and prefer people on site to receive you, but as online check-ins go, they were first-rate, and communicated well. It's a nice sort of BnB feel, and nicely kept up, renovated, and generous with items you may need. I would return here despite online check-in, check-out.

I am 73 years old and have stayed in hotels, motels, VRBO's including prestigious resorts. When I walked into our room (#3) I immediately noted personal attention to many items that made the room more comfortable. I am sure a woman and a well traveled woman who was keenly aware of little things that make a huge difference. Too many to list all, but don't you hate those tiny waste baskets in hotel rooms? There was a big trash can lined with a draw string bag, the bottom of the shower curtain was in a laundry basket! Perfect to help keep water off the floor. Cord covers helped protect cables from damage but prevented trip hazards. There was a wood deck out the room that accessed the back yard which was perfectly manicured and fenced. This was one of the warmest stays I can remember though my many years of travel.

The beach was across the street, easy walk. we brought our dog. there was a pet relief area out our back door with bags to dispose of the waste.

I stayed in Jr room. A little small but comfy. I would only recommend one thing…..A full length mirror! As a lady I like to have one while getting dressed to go out. Just a small one on back of closet door would do! Thanks for the great hospitality! Shannon Price

The inn is located in an ideal location that is walkable to the beach, restaurants and entertainment. The inn and rooms are very clean and provide amenities needed. Great experience and will definitely return!

Great pet friendly place, has an unfenced area in the back for the dogs to run and do their business. Everything in the room was very comfortable only thing is the showers are small but as a tall guy you’re already used to that. We will definitely stay here again.

It was a nice stay. Don’t expect the royal treatment because there is none. The room was really small but nice for just sleeping. The noise can be really annoying because the walls are not soundproof. Needs a lot of updating.

The bad: we were on the first floor and the people above us both nights were stomping and super loud and we slept terribly both nights. I feel bad writing this cause it’s not the properties fault but we did submit a complaint, and the people above us were still super loud. You can hear every step and they were stomping till 2 AM. It was pretty annoying.

The room was the perfect size for a short stay for two people and was very clean and quiet.

The reason, however, for my "Terrible Review" is two-fold. First, the toilet didnt flush. I learned that late that night adter midnight. My wife... moments later. We had to search for a place to relieve herself. (Major Inconvenience!) Later, shortly after we woke up, we decided to cut our stay short, and we left for home. I called CBI to let them know that we left a day early, and why. Hoping for a Refund for the 2nd day, CBI refused, saying that we should've called to have a maintenance worker fix the problem. I explained that there was no time for a Hair Dryer repair. As far as the Coffee Cups, McDs was nearby. HOWEVER, the Toilet that Wouldn't Flush at about 1:00 a.m. was HUGE! Soil her pants while waiting for maintenance to arrive WAS NOT AN OPTION. Had Carolina Beach Inn management done the right thing, I suppose I'd have given my stay an Average rating. Unfortunately, they did not.

The room was nice and clean. a few things were not completely correct. there was no pool on the property and was advertised when i booked as having a pool and around 6am one morning in one of the rooms by us sounded as if they were moving furniture around. which was very loud.

States there is a pool, but there is not one.

I love an ice cold window unit just be aware it’s at the top of your head so you want to keep a decorative pillow on the bed to block a bit of air on your head. It feels great. Cute vintage microwave and fridge/freezer. The bed is a 6/10 and needs a new mattress but for what I paid it’s no big deal. Entry with a code is so easy. Everywhere should do this. They also have a cute Keurig setup and cold water dispenser. It’s a quick two blocks walking to the beach and boardwalk and the free parking can’t be beat. Go to Celtic for ice cream and Crush and Grind for coffee and the speakeasy vibe upstairs for a craft cocktail.

I like that it had a balcony. I didn't like that lights and internet went out twice.

Our stay was just okay. The rooms need a deep cleaning. The bedding sheets were old so I wasn’t comfortable sleeping at all. And I wasn’t happy with the 10pm noise curfew. We paid too much money not to be able talk past 10pm. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The amenities and property left.m a lot to be desired. Although a historic property it still needed to be renovated for space and amenities. The self serve rooms were a nice touch but our room was not as advertised.

We stayed in room 3 on the bottom level, which I would advise to avoid if possible. It’s under the stairs and shares walls with 2 other rooms that have zero insulation or noise protection. The people next door partied all night and their dogs barked incessantly. The walls were so thin I could hear every word of their conversations. This room also is under 2 different hotel rooms upstairs and there is no noise protection under the hard wood. Between the relationships and walking around all hours of the night, we got no sleep and decided to leave the hotel early. It’s a bummer because the hotel is adorable and close to the beach.

Great location. We had a family emergency at the beginning of our stay and the Carolina Beach Inn was very nice and worked with us to minimize the impact to our finances. They were able to refund us some of our stay. I will definitely come back this season and stay at the Carolina Beach Inn again. Thank you for what you did Carolina Beach Inn!

Liked how everything is walkable, you’ve got restaurants around you; britts donut shop right there that you can walk to and an ice cream place.

This place is not fancy at all but suited us much better than a hotel room. We would stay again.

It was a great place to stay..pup enjoyed too

This is a hotel without a front desk, so everything is handled online. Very simplistic and efficient. Our room was located next to the coffee service area, so it was noisy in the morning. Finally, it’s pet friendly, and our neighbor’s dogs started yapping at 6:15 AM. I thought that was rude, but so be it. The room and bathroom was small but totally adequate. The shower was very small - I’m 6’4”, so beware tall folks.

Loved everything about this place ! It was my first trip to the beach with my dog and he and I enjoyed every minute of our stay!

It was a cute, clean, very convenient Inn. Coffee and water always available. Parking was easy and you could walk everywhere so you could keep your car parked. Highly recommend it!

We were just traveling through and able to book this it's a very nice getaway between seeing our daughters. Even though no one is there they are Johnny on the spot and very helpful.

The manager was very friendly and personable. She gave suggestions of places to eat in the area and made sure we didn't need anything. The room was clean and bed was very comfortable. Coffee and water are available as well. Communication was great too! We hope to stay here again in our future vacations!

Very warm in the room. One vent and you don’t control the temperature. The ceiling fan would not speed up to provide extra air and the small fan provided did not help much either.

Rooms are small, but cute and very clean. Very nice coffee bar area. It was in a perfect location! Absolutely loved it!

This place was great for our family to do an impromptu trip to the beach for one night. The staff that helped with the issue with our booking was beyond helpful. Expedia had the info wrong and the hotel staff made it right! Thank you Bridgett!

Bridget helped with a couple of initial snafus and my trip most pleasant and would recommend this Inn because of its uniqueness and customer service.

The front door entrance to property did not lock with code. It was broke, which concerned me a bit. Other than that it was a great place to stay for a very short stay. Every thing we needed was in close proximity such as several beaches, restaurants and other places to visit.

Great little hotel with a homey atmosphere, super friendly service and really cute decor. Our room was just big enough for a short stay. The bed was comfortable and they have a bunch of little extras available for no charge...tooth brush, tooth paste, coffee, tea, water, mints, etc. The first floor rooms have are suites with a kitchen. Easy walking distance to the boardwalk. Overall, this is a great place for a quick stay in Carolina Beach.

Carolina Beach Inn is located a block from the heart of the town. It is like a throw back to an earlier era. The beach is broad and clean, a 2 block walk from the Inn.

We loved this property so much!! The lady who helped us to our room was so kind. They had coffee and water and reusable cups that were a life saver. We stayed with our 1 year old and she loved it. Easy walk to the boardwalk and the beach. We would highly recommend!

The owners were great! We even got to check in early. The room was clean; water pressure good; they even offered a few free items like a steel drink canister. Very nice people!

I stayed in a wonderful room with a small kitchen on the first floor. Debi and Tom were extremely kind and helpful. They provided beach chairs, towels, water bottles and plenty of coffee and tea. The Inn is within a 2 minute walk to the beach and restaurants! There were rocking chairs on the porch. Thank you Debi and Tom for a great getaway!

I love that it is one of the oldest building left in Carolina Beach and the owners are amazing. Has a nice back yard for pets. Supplies beach chairs, towels and anything you could want. Now it is not a "high rise" with the glamour but it has the MOST charm of any place I have stayed. We go every year!!!!!!!

I loved this place!!! It was like staying at a friend’s house! We were close to everything but also far enough that we had some peace and quiet too! Just a couple blocks from the beach and near everything!!! Will absolutely stay here again!!!!

I really loved the inn, felt like home, wish i could stay longer next time

We had no idea what we would be getting when we book, but we could not have been happier with our experience. Debi was great. So nice and friendly. She took such special care of our dog by supplying a treat and a blanket for her. The room was nice. It felt like a B&B instead of a hotel. Our room was small, but it worked for my husband and I and our dog. I liked the decorations too. Made it homey.

From the moment we arrived until our departure it felt like we were home. After meeting the owners and sharing a few laughs it was known that this wasn’t your typical beach stay, highly recommend to anyone who wants to feel like you’re “home” on vacation.
