Can beat the price and ocean front location. The parking can be tricky but otherwise a great, clean inexpensive option

Beautiful place, quiet and close to the boardwalk. Clean inside and out and balcony view was gorgeous! Would stay again.

The motel was clean and safe. However some upgrades and modernizations are in order. Loud appliances and plumbing and water pressure isn’t good.

Great view from the second floor room. On the down side, there was way too much noise and glaring lights. The A/C unit was loud to the point of useless.

Great view from our little balcony of the dunes and ocean. We had a small, petite queen room that was just right for a couple for the weekend. Typical wear at a beach motel from the salty, humid air, but the bed was clean and the room was tidy. Little interaction with staff because check-in is remote and the office has limited hours. But a very friendly person was there in the morning for us to grab some more coffee for the in-room coffee maker. Parking was ample with the directly across the street overflow parking. All in all, a very pleasant, affordable, beach-front room!

Choosing a facility with a kitchen allowed us to book a oceanside unit. The kitchen had the basic cookware and dinnerware. However, a few other useful items, a toaster, aerving bowl and basic knife would've made meal prep a little better.

Ample parking, direct beach access, and clean rooms.

Great stay! I didn’t interact in person with any staff, all communication was done via text or email and was easy. The room was really spacious and the view was nice. Really convenient to everything! Downside, parking!!! The front area says compact parking and large suv’s were taking up spaces that made it difficult to park a compact car. I will plan accordingly for the parking next time. Definitely planning to stay again in the future.

Great location on the beach. Parking was easy. It is a non-smoking facility and grounds. Signs are clearly posted and are clearly disregarded by guests. I was unable to leave the sliding door open to enjoy the sound of the beach because of the smoking from neighboring balconies. I was reclining on the shared patio at one point and a gentleman walked up, ironically, right by the no smoking sign, and lit up a cigarette. I contacted the company three times, they said they sent a message and said they cannot issue me a refund because it was booked through Expedia. Expedia informed me that the hotel controlled whether or not a refund was given so I'm very disappointed in the property's dishonesty. I would refer them to say sorry no refunds allowed rather than tell me they couldn't control what Expedia did.

This property was perfect for my mini vacation. Clean, easy check in process and great that parking was included. Kitchenette served its purpose. Easy access to the beach and having a pool on property was great!!!

Beds and pillows were wonderful. Clean room. .03 miles to Boardwalk. Beachfront. No one at hotel to check in or ask for coffee, towels, or if there was a problem. Late check in time of 4pm. All done through email.

The location was great, they had great ocean views Our floors in the room were dirty, stuff was spilled on them and not cleaned up, and it didn't seem to get swept because there was sand on the floors

Great location, only a few blocks from the boardwalk and right on the seashore. Close to restaurants, shopping, and the marina. The hotel is automated with no staff on site. You are notified by email with a code to enter your room. There is a phone number to call if you need something, but no daily room service. The front doors to the room were dirty, along with the white plastic rocking chairs on the balcony. Cleanliness is 3 stars, but with an additional 30 minutes of cleaning could bring it to 4 or 5 stars. Don't get me wrong, overall it was a good experience for someone looking for a quieter experience. Parking was convenient. We walked everywhere.

If you’re looking for a rustic beach experience, this may work for you. However, we found the bed uncomfortable-very soft, worn out. This held true for most of the furniture and related amenities. The views were not as depicted online. The pool was also a great disappointment. I would not recommend The Beach House.

Great place to stay at! Clean and great beach area

The view was as depicted in the photos, and showed a small amount of the beach sand due to the dunes. But, that was expected for the first floor unit. The property only has two levels, so you need an upper level (2nd level) unit to see the water from the deck. Close enough to hear the waves crashing in though. Still had a beautiful sunrise with the dunes and skyline.

the room was spacious and comfortable and I adore all the rocking chairs they had all over the property for ocean views and relaxation. I love the ease of the check in process as well. We know exactly where to book for our next beach trip!

The room was spacious and clean . The location was great. My only complaint would be the loud neighbor's. However after messaging the hotel it was promptly taking care of. Would stay again.

Clean room

Well, it seems more like a motel than a hotel. The beds weren't very comfortable, and I didn't like the beach. I requested a room with a balcony and ocean view, but there was more grass than water. Plus, in the middle of the beach, there was a rusty metal pipe. I honestly thought it would be nicer.

It was wonderfully clean, easy to get in touch with managers, close to beach....just as pictured.

The internet was fast, the room was clean, and I could just see the ocean between the dunes in the ocean-front room on the first floor. I would request the second floor if I stay there again because you can definitely hear the person above you walking, and the one above me walked a lot at odd nighttime hours. Not the property's fault, just an observation if you're a light sleeper like I am.

Parking wasn't ideal. It's free but hard to find a spot in the evening.

We rented the two "queen" beds with kitchen and ocean view. Hot water was nice. Kitchen had basic utensils. Overall stay was ok. Just observe that you will need to bring everything for seasoning if you plan to cook. Also, the two beds were double beds, not queen. AC was a little but loud too.

Great staff, great location.

Not so great, the floors were dirty. It’s such a small area, why are the floors never CLEAN?!! Porch had 2 chairs, but room accommodates 4, so it would be awesome to have at least 4 chairs so everyone can sit and enjoy the view. And include a small side table. Still, we all (a family of 4), enjoyed our stay.

It said “ocean view” which wasn’t true- it was a view of the patio and dunes! But it was clean, had all the kitchen basics, coffee, comfortable beds and nice toiletries and towels. We had a great deal but next time I’d pay for 2 nd floor and a true view of the ocean. It would be worth it!

Ocean in front of balcony was beautiful and relaxing

The location is great, right at the beach, very convenient for parking and restroom. Because the public parking is all $7 per hour and $35 per day, so having your own on the beach place is very important. My only complaint is the water heater seems slow heating the water, and the hot water runs out if you don't take show quickly.

The room was very clean, even though it’s very dated. The fridge was on its last legs. The staff was very helpful and accommodating and the deck areas are very nice. The views from the balconies are wonderful and easy access to the beach is very nice. I have no complaints at all about the property, but our neighbors were up all hours banging around. I finally knocked on the wall and they settled down. It’s a great property and wonderful getaway. We truly enjoyed it.

Great family place to stay; including the dog. Just make sure you stockup on paperplates, cups, etc because there are not many in the kitchen. Very clean location is PERFECT!

The room we were in had a nice kingsize bed, dresser, microwave and refrigerator. No table, no chair, no where to sit except the bed. The air-conditioning unit was so loud it woke us up everytime it cycled. There was no light in the entryway just a ceiling light and fan in the middle of the room. The room was clean but the grounds were not. Our dog caught gardia while we were there. Overall the condition of the property structurally was sound but someone had thrown out watermelon and strawberries and it remained on the ground throughout our 4 night stay stay.

The second room did have a great ocean view

Our room only contained a dresser, a bed and nightstand. There were no chairs or any place to sit other than the bed. No staff on site and when questioned by text the reply was sofa, table and chairs were broken and had not been replaced.

Kids playing upstairs but they went to bed early it was acceptable considering a downstairs y.

The heating unit in the main room was very loud. Otherwise, the location and the view were great.

I booked The Beach House for my solo birthday trip. This was my first time traveling solo and I must say I picked the perfect time and place. I was a little concerned at first because I read some bad reviews about the area and the hotel. Im not really sure what others experienced with the bad reviews, but I had the best time and loved that I was able to wake up every morning and see the ocean while I was still lying in bed. It’s also a very walkable area. I didn’t bring a car and was able to get anywhere I wanted by foot. I didn’t have any interaction with the staff- only by text- for check-in and checkout, which was perfect. This trip was exactly what I didn’t know I needed. Thank you for an excellent stay!

Everything! Clean room, wonderful staff, comfortable, safe, home feeling! Convenient with location to the ocean, the boardwalk, food places kitchenette in the room! No complaints! We knew there would be cloudy rainy days when we booked! And even the rain was still nice and didn't stop us from enjoying our anniversary vacation!

We enjoyed staying here. We will definitely come back and make the Beach house our preferred hotel.

Beautiful ocean view from my second floor room, prompt responses from staff through texts (limited office/onsite hours), dog friendly, a path straight to the beach, and close to restaurants and entertainment. It’s an older facility, but served its purpose since I was there to enjoy the beach and not stay in the room. Room was fairly clean, small.

We enjoyed the pool and easy walk to the pool. The air conditioner made loud noises all weekend and was hard to sleep. It was so humid in the room that our skin was sticky the whole time. The floor was weak in the kitchen area. The girls thought it would be funny if i fell through it. It was room 109. The maintenance tried to adjust the air conditioner but it didn't help.

Walking distance to restaurants and the boardwalk. Beachfront property with showers to use after getting off the beach. Limited parking. Must pay if more than one vehicle.

This is the 5th time we've stayed at The Beach House in the last 10 years. We come back because the property and staff are excellent, and their customer service is top-notch. We feel like we're home when we stay here. We drive from New York each time because we fell in love with this place.

We love The Beach House! Have been going here for several years now and it is a great place to stay.

We liked that we are very close to the entrance to the beach. We liked that we did have an ocean view from the porch. We liked that we were on a second floor, which made an excellent view of the ocean. We liked that we were in walking distance to a few restaurants and a food Mart. We didn’t like that the bed we had we were told would be a queen size bed based on our reservation, but it was much smaller than a queen in our opinion more like a double. We didn’t like that we couldn’t get in the room before 3 o’clock even though the room itself was clean and empty. We do realize that it’s a 4 o’clock reservation and maybe we were lucky that 3 o’clock they allow people in but it didn’t make sense to us, if we paid for it, they would’ve let us go in early. Maybe that is why and we paid enough for the room so we would not pay more. We did not like in the evening when we were sitting on the porch that there were a lot of people coming up while we were relaxing and trying to read or even have a conversation and they were taking selfies a lot of young people just kept coming up the stairs, changing their outfits and spent an awful lot of time by our room while we sat outside, laughing and having a great time lucky them, but we came for peace and quiet, and that was not the case. The room was really small and nowhere to put two suitcases, no suitcase stands. There was a place to hang stuff up, but not enough space for two people to store stuff a few drawers that were there were unnecessary. The location definitely made our trip but everything else was a bit disappointing.

Overall property was nice. Outdated but you're hardly ever there so it doesn't really matter anway. We couldn't "see" the ocean feom our room (104) but it was ocean accessible. Would definitely stay again.

Beachfront balcony was great. The bathroom was in need of an upgrade but the stay overall was great. Walkable to the boardwalk and beachfront was great. The lounging area outside was great. We went to early in the season for the pool to be open I guess.

Room was clean, older property. Is it the 4 seasons no. The sand dune does block the ocean view. It is an ocean front property and you pay because of that. I am on the fence if i would stay again. For $50 more at a different property I would have had a better view of the ocean. They should have larger trash cans in room if they are not going to clean room daily. It’s a good place for budget friendly

The only issue we had with this property was that one mattress needed to be replaced badly. Got lower back pain due to mattress sink on one side. Other than that 5 star on everything else!

We had a very great stay, loved the location and how the staff wasnt up your butt like some places tend to be. Had a hiccup with our lock and it was responded to and handled quickly. Hope to someday stay again!

It was quite and clean.

Overall we had a very nice stay, the staff was helpful with a couple hiccups with our lock and always bought things we needed in a timely manner. Nice small hotel happy with our trip. Definitely could see myself staying again in future or one of their partner hotels in area

This hotel did not honor our reservation for a king suite. When we showed up the room we were given was a single room with no separate bedroom and not kitchen. The front desk person told us that Expedia overbooked and they could do nothing. They moved us to a larger room on the second day but said we would need to move again three days later to a smaller room. The floors were dirty; our feet were black. The beds were completely worn out. I would never stay there again. The promised us a refund because we left two days early, but that hasn't come through yet.

Has a great time. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We ended up extending our trip by a day with no problem. The room is nothing extraordinary but it did the job for our small family. I appreciated the simplicity and the little kitchen which allowed me to make breakfast for my family. Easy beach access and super cute patio! We are already talking about staying again soon!

The room was comfortable and clean. Free parking was a nice touch since beach parking can be such a hassle elsewhere. WiFi worked well throughout our stay. Had a great time exploring the boardwalk and spending time by the ocean. Perfect spot for a quick beach getaway. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Very clean, right on the beach. The only thing is, if I had been planning to cook this is not the place. There was maybe two or three old frying pans some bowls and a couple of saucers spoons forks knives no sharp knives one cookie sheet no detergent it was it was not it's not inducive to for our family to come and think that they're going to be able to cook other than that it was very clean the beds were very comfortable and right on the beach.

Had a bumpy start with reservation. Had not received credit for my deposit. In time they handled it and we had a very nice weekend.

I so appreciate the hotel refunding me for one night when I had to leave early due to a family emergency.

Property rundown…needs a lot of TLC. I requested a view of the ocean and received a view of table and chairs, and I dune blocking it. They had two other people staying there so they had plenty of room to have placed in a room with a view.

Showers could have been cleaner. Shower bar very dirty, black grime. AC kept turning off overnight. Not sure what that was about. Otherwise nice place. I have stayed here a few times before. First night unable to watch tv. Batteries were dead. Nice staff guy assisted me the next morning.

They stay wasn’t bad but it wasn’t very clean. It smell weird, the air conditioner was very dirty and the shower doors were dirty and stain as well.

Liked the beach access.'The kitchen was not very well stocked. No glasses. Only one butter knife. No Knives for cutting and preparing food. Pots and pans in poor shape. Stove burners unlevel hard to use.

Location was excellent, directly on the beach. Unit needs updating. Appliances and bathroom are in fair condition. Kitchen not equipped with anything but coffee cups, basic utensils and individual coffeecup make maker. We did not have interaction with staff, except a phone call as initial text check in did not work.

The floor seemed soft in areas and AC didn’t work as good as it should. Very nice and close to beach.

The Beach House is in a great location on the beach and within walking distance to restaurants and things to do. The room was very clean and roomy. The app worked well for check-in, any issues I had, and check-out. Staff were friendly, prompt and very helpful with any issues I had.

This was a fine place to stay for the price. Having never been to Carolina Beach, we had no idea that the dunes are so high that you cannot see the ocean unless you are several floors above ground level. Also, the room had a kitchenette which was nice but there was no couch. It was sparsely outfitted. There were also problems with their method for allowing entry as their computer program was not working. We also had someone trying to get into our room in the middle of the night who was told this was their room.

Even though it is not yet Spring and we weren't swimming, we wanted a hotel/room with an ocean view. Room had ocean view, was clean, and mostly quiet. Very pleased with our stay

We arrived on a Sunday. No one was at the office to check me in. Door was locked. Had to call the number on door to gain access to the room. Once in the room it did not look clean. There was a bug in the refrigerator and a dead moth in the bathroom. A cleaning bottle was still out on the sink. Towels did not look clean but couldn’t ask for fresh ones because again no one was in the office and I tried calling the number and it went straight to voicemail. At one point the WiFi went out and then when I tried to call the number for that no one picked up. I also tried to email and the email address was not valid. The walls are also super thin. We heard everyone’s conversation and I’m sure they heard ours. Glad we had a short stay. I will say we stayed out of season but this is still no reason for the poor service.

I loved it especially the 105 unit. When I come back and I will hope to get that same unit!!

Booked the more expensive room and was allocated to a postage stamp sized room! After complaining they agreed to allocate us to another room but had to wait for a staff member to open up. After an hour of messing about we left and booked in at the Hampton Inn - should have booked there to start with….

Check In and Check super easy. Accomdatuons were spot on with amenities for example: applianes, dishes, silverware and full kitchen. Beds comfortable. The view was amazing and relaxing. The community was super friendly. Close walking promity to local places to eat. Would definitely recommend.

Our stay here was amazing! The room was clean and had a very clean smell. We had plenty of towels and sufficient toiletries. The view of the beach from the balcony was breathtaking! We watched the dolphins while enjoying our morning coffee. The beach is very easily accessible. You can hear the ocean when you lay down to sleep which makes for a very good nights rest.

Very easy check in and out process. Great location with close beach access. Pet friendly. Walking distance to many places. Unit was clean, floors could have used more attention. Only issue we found was that upstairs unit had a herd of rhinos running and jumping back and forth and you can hear people coughing and talking next door. Thin walls. Very affordable place with amenities.

Beachfront

Took a little getaway with my daughter for a change in scenery. Really enjoyed my stay! The room was clean and quiet. Got some much needed rest. View and access of the ocean was incredible. Check in was easy. Second time staying and will definitely be coming back

Great view and we slept like babies!!!

Although easy to check in, It was very dirty (paint on floor, broken ice maker, dirty freezer and fridge, soiled sofa, no drinking glasses, a/c u it falling apart, fitted sheets came loose each night. Management said after we complained ed that they could’ve moved us to another room but it doesn’t change the condition of the room we had. Positives: walking distance to coffee shops, bars and restaurants. Short walk to beach.

My stay was quiet (I was there off-season) & comfortable. If, like me, you just want simple & easy this is a great place. If you want people waiting on you & every luxury, then this probably isn’t for you.

I was there out of season time but still the place was kept up as if it was the middle of season It doesn’t matter what time of year you go the place is tranquil along with being close enough to Al the shops and restaurants. I plan on going again during the off season because to me bring in the water during the winter months is just breath taking with the crisp air and the less crowded beach. I would tell you I recommend the beach house to all .
