    This was way overpriced for the facility. I understand that it was reunion’s weekend at the university, but I feel that they really price gouged you. I don’t believe they were very good business partners by increasing the price so much.. then on top of the exorbitant prices they charged for parking as well. $1500 for two nights stay was ridiculous but I did it because it was my 50th reunion. It might be reasonable at other times, but definitely not worth the price.

    My husband is battling cancer for the second time in 11 years. We love the care that we receive at UVA and the options that we have for treatment. What we love about this particular Hampton Inn is how convenient it is to the Cancer Center/hospital. And it is very comfortable and the staff are friendly. It is almost like taking a mini vacation in the middle of fighting cancer. And my son lives an hour closer to Charlottesville than he is from our home which makes it especially nice! The traffic in the area due to lots of construction (which is actually a good thing for the school and the hospital).

    Only front desk person on property and Clyde couldn’t be bothered if you needed anything! Had to asked for a trash a for our suite room everyday 4 nights and still never received one! The maid spoke zero English! She only spoke French. The Hotel itself is a good location but for the price you pay you would think they could clean your room or bring you a trash can.

    The only thing is the breakfast timing, it’s only till 9:30 and from 9:20 the staff shuts half the door and gives u a look that ur late. Also by 9 mostly everything is finished and no chance of refill in time. So if they could extend till 10, that would be great. Also the cleaning is on request so twice after requesting also my room did not get cleaned. Rest my stay was v good.

    The breakfast was quite good. The heating was uneven and a little hard to regulate. The overall room was mostly clean, however the shower door tracks could have been cleaner. I don’t think they should charge a daily rate for parking. $20 per day. Being a Hilton Honor member should also count for something.

    I have stayed at this location before and enjoy it each time. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The location is convenient. The staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is simple, but substantial and self-serve. When I was there one of the staff came out to check on it to make sure there was plenty. The location is in the middle of multiple choices for restaurants and activities. It's a great location. I will stay here again.

    Very rude unhelpful front desk. Specifically, the white older female, she was extremely rude when I called to ask a question regarding checkin, btw unprovoked. She also is unkempt, not a good look in the hospitality business! Zero customer service and her trainee a white middle aged male was not the best either. They obviously disregarded my request for a quiet room because they put us right by the elevator. You need to do better!!!!! See my notes above I unfortunately overpaid for this stay!!     All of the staff were very friendly and attentive! The quality of the breakfast items was disappointing. The location of the hotel was wonderful. Overall, the cleanliness of the hotel was good, but attention needs to be given to the dust accumulating on the tops of surfaces such as headboards, lamps, picture frames, and other flat surfaces other than tabletops. Also, most offensively, were dark stains on the desk chair seat which appeared to be body fluid emanations (we covered the seat with a folded bedspread before sitting on it).

    Because another guest extended their stay in the room we were booked in, we were upgraded to a very nice suite at no extra cost to us. It was perfect for our stay. The desk staff is absolutely wonderful. As far as comfort, the air conditioner unit did not keep the room at a steady temperature. It would get very stuffy before the unit would kick back on. That’s my only complaint.

    My husband thoroughly enjoyed breakfast. Great variety and plenty of seating inside or outside. I was at the UVA Battle Building for a procedure. Was so glad my husband was able to enjoy his breakfast before he had to come to the hospital and sit in the waiting room for hours. Cannot think of a single negative point.

    This is a fantastic property. The staff were top-notch and the room was exceptionally clean. The breakfast was very good and the staff took care to keep the buffet area very clean throughout. Overall, the front desk staff was also fantastic and helpful when I needed to extend my reservation. Highly recommend.

    The front desk ladies are great and were so incredibly helpful throughout our week’s stay. The gentleman who maintains the breakfast area was outstanding! He was so attentive to the cleanliness of the dining area and the supply of food & coffee. The outdoor parking area is well lit at night and we felt very safe.

    We were pleased with our checkin, especially the receptionist’s welcome and willingness to have access to our room early. The room had an updated feel and the bathrooms glass shower doors worked well and looked lovely. The breakfast had multiple options and was spaced out to make for easy access to all choices. This is a lovely hotel and a great place to stay when in Charlottesville.

    We stayed here because of an appointment at UVA Medical Center. The suite was beautiful. The floor plan was perfect. The dual zone ac for the bedroom vs the living area was so thoughtful. The staff so kind. Now, even if you’re having a medical procedure and need more time, they do not allow late check outs. Just an fyi so you’re prepared. Not a complaint bc they use that time to make it soooo clean!!!!

    We liked the location. It was in the center of everything we wanted to do. We were very pleased with the front desk staff. Autumn was wonderful -- very friendly and helpful. We were a little disappointed that they charged for parking. We almost always stay at Hampton Inns when we travel and this is the first time we were charged for parking.

    The front desk staff were absolutely wonderful!! Everything in hotel was as to be expected of a Hampton Inn, clean and in working order. Hotel was nice and quiet for a pleasant experience. Mailbox outside was a plus for those who like to send postcards. Downtown area moderately walkable. Breakfast was okay but would be nice to see a few more food items. Elevators were extremely slow. Overall decent hotel and would recommend.

    Stayed here for a UVA tour with my daughter. It was clean, felt new, decent breakfast (included), easy parking - I think it was $15, right outside of the hotel. It would probably be about a 10 min walk to UVA - near Main Street/next to the university.

    The clerk said she would e-mail receipt, but I never got it. They only clean rooms every other day. What's up with that? Charged $15.00/day to park my car. Use to be free. Everybody wants a tip these days.

    WE were able to walk to an 8 am appt. Also to many choices for dinner later. Nice to walk uo and down the hills. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was tasty and had many choices. Thanks alot.

    I didn’t personally make it to the property due to an absolute nightmare of travel, but my cousins who were meeting me made it. They said the room and hotel were really nice and the attendant kind when checking in and out. I love Hilton properties and will continue to be a loyal customer and Hilton Honors member.

    We made last minute (booked in the same week) plans to visit our college-aged child. We have stayed at a few other hotels, and overall, this was a good stay. The staff was welcoming and responsive. The rooms and property was clean. The price was a bit on the high end.

    Walkable to UVA campus, easy and free parking and several dining options nearby. But our room was next to the street and was loud due to traffic up to about midnight. We would have liked a change to the other side and there was room to do this but we were told it was not possible. So our sleep wasn’t great, even with earplugs.
