Good location, clean hotel, friendly staff

Room was really nice and comfortable. Great stop on a road trip for an overnight rest. Bedding nice and comfortable-room spacious and clean, bathroom nicer than other competitive brands like Hampton Inn….tile/glass, nice living room and TV—backlit lighting overall great experience….very well lit parking lot, close to convenient Wawa…Areas of opportunity: coffee and breakfast in lobby not high quality, AC unit was loud…..Overall, super happy with this hotel!

My name is Jeremy I love the new remodel new hotel but I don't like the breakfast it was not no bacon and eggs I did not know that they don't do that type of breakfast till I got to the hotel I do not like the bathroom in the hotel room I think the tub was not needed the staff is real nice the downstairs area do not stink anymore it used to stink before the remodel so the upgrade to the hotel is good I just don't like the bathroom of the hotel and I don't like that it don't have bacon and eggs for breakfast and I don't like that the pool is outside but all around grade for the hotel I give a 95% me and my wife will be back to the hotel soon I was there celebrating my birthday on for May 28th love the area that the hotel is near about a lot of Hope about a lot of things the Wawa and Taco Bell And the Cinema Cafe I love every time I looked around they was cleaning the floors and keeping the place clean I really like to clean this of the hotel that is so awesome keep up the good work everyone of the awesome cleaners of the hotel but it would be nice that y'all can have some bacon and eggs and not have the same food every time the person that we was there two nights and every time we got up for breakfast it was the same old food switch it up just a little bit for your customers Hotel visitors God bless you all to all the staff good job

You can tell they’re nice because they have to be, but it’s short, speak only as much as you have to, and be done with these people kind of interactions. Pleasant and fine, but definitely not genuinely friendly, helpful folks….Like a fast food drive thru experience. You always smell weed throughout the place. Several of the staff smell like it too. Staff seem to always be hanging out talking in small groups, or hanging out in the manager’s office….not usually at the desk, but they get there eventually. The manager’s office looks like a college kids dorm room and not a professional’s office. It’s the first thing you see when you come in, and the last thing you see as you walk out. You can’t miss the “chillin at home” vibe of his space. He really needs a door you can’t see through or to have his office out of the lobby.

Front desk manager Karen was fantastic. She de escalated an issue properly and effectively. It is not easy to address hotel guests who arrive after 10pm and have to inform them their room type is no longer available due to issues with the hotel. I appreciate her due diligence !

Very nice, but no phone in the room. 1 wash cloth for 2 people. They charge your card $30.00 and it takes a long time to refund it back. I haven’t received my refund yet. Don’t think I will be staying again.

I’m a regular at this hotel because it is so clean and well kept the staff is very friendly and always willing to help! I want to give a special thanks to Cody, Karen and Tavon! Thank you all so much for being so accommodating and always there for me and my partner through out our stay! I’ve stayed in all seasons and the summer is by far my favorite because of the pool access! The trees give the perfect amount of shade from the sun so swimming is a breeze. This facility is clean and cozy they have a computer room, exercise room and a pool as I mentioned earlier. They also have a laundry room! The housekeeping staff is amazing as well. Overall there’s nothing I’d change about this hotel it is exceptional!

The breakfast, lobby, room and staff were excellent. The towels were really soft. A little paint needed for trim and walls in the hallways. We were disappointed that the pool was not open. Otherwise, it was a great stay. I would recommend and book again.

Musty smell throughout the guest floors, the room smells of piss, And there was a high school soccer team roaming halls most of the night and being loud.

Very dirty carpet. Microwave had food from previous people. Beds had chocolate stains from previous ppl. Breakfast and coffee were just ok.

Sadly, although the hotel is well kept, it lacks the qualities it had prior to the revamp. It lost the "class" of the past. The breakfast is lacking everything. Thank goodness for WaWa across the street. It gets a sorry downgrade. Alot of thing, mostly breakfast offerings.

Breakfast complementary rooms were clean. Staff were friendly. There was only this one lady(staff she was knitting )that spoke to everyone except for me and my family, and my child dropped the piece of paper, not noticing, but the lady picked it up so aggressively as if she was aggravated with us being down there eating breakfast

1st stay at this hotel but definitely not the last. The rooms were nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. The best bed out of all the hotels ive visited in the area.

We had a late check in and upon arrival the front doors were locked, you needed to have a key/pass to enter. Our room must’ve had a flood because it had a humidifier blower still drying the rug and it smelled musty. I spoke to the front desk and they were apologetic and gracious. They gave us a differ room, smaller beds but it was clean and cozy. I’d definitely stay there again.

I like the location. Property was being renovated. Nothing was as it was advertised.There was no restaurant, bar, pool was not being maintained so we could not swim.

Wonderful staff, except we weren't told that there was room serviceonly every two days. We were given clean towels only when we asked for them. Stayed 6 nights and the room was made up only/ twice, the room was clean, comfortable, large room. Love this hotel chain,, but communication could have been better.

Very clean hotel. The renovation was completed this time, unlike the last time in September 2025 when it wasn't done during my visit with my wife and our three kids. This hotel is our go-to whenever we come to town to visite great. Both September and December 2025 stays were great.

I was disappointed with our recent stay. Prior to renovations, they provided glass glasses along with glass cups instead they now provide the downgrade of paper cups and paper glasses. Breakfast was also a downgrade with fewer options of food to choose from.Staff as always was excellent. The Hyatt Select has now become just another regular hotel, no longer an exceptional place to stay as I referred to it before. So sad to see those little extras gone, it gave the Hyatt a step above ! Paper cups and paper glasses!! Also fewer food options for breakfast.

Check in was great. The room was very nice. Easy accrss to two great restaurants across the parking lot; chinese and mexican. We will definitely stay here on our trip up to New England. It's the halfway point.

Breakfast food was ok. The eggs were not good, over cooked. Bacon was so thin (as thin as a piece of paper) and crispy that it had not flavor. Pancakes were soggy. French toast sticks and sausage were good. Otherwise this place was nice to stay.

Understandable that hotels need repairs but parking lot and inside getting updates. Didn’t think full price was necessary. Funky smell in elevator and room. Breakfast sub par and fire alarm went off at 4:30…

Placement of the HVAC unit in the room put the air output right at the side of the bed which blew directly on the person sleeping on that side. Went and slept on the sofa.

I took an accessible suite with 2 beds for my 3 person family. There is 1 elevator bank for the building and the halls are very long. 1 The suite for disabled people is at the farthest point from the elevator. Literally the last room on the hall. Huh? 2 The room had 2 full size beds, not queens. Does any hotel still use full mattresses? The beds are really too soft. You actually sink in. Why? BTW my husband glasses fell behind an end table. We had to move it to reach them. Filthy. 3. No tissues, No hair dryer, no plastic laundry bag. OK......but why? No hair dryer is unheard of. 4. The one that sent me over the edge was breakfast. The room was mid construction. Walls were taped and spackled. It was brightly lit in blinding white lite like all construction sites. Folding tables etc. The actual breakfast was pawltry. They werent ready a half hr after start. Some bad bread choices, hard boiled eggs, bananas, cheap no name cereals, 1 chafing dish with half empty tray of sausage, empty scrambles and cheap tater tots. Inedible in a bad environment. There was another large conference rm a fews doors down that looked in good shape sitting unused. The last time I challenged a charge on Amex was at least 20 yrs ago. My 200. dollar stay was seriously sub par so I may choose that option. Sept. 2025.

I will not stay at this property ever again. The rooms smelled. The plumbing was messed up so we had to switch room. Once we switched rooms the tub had brown marks and the toilet was still messed up. So we had to switch rooms for a third time. They are under renovation so the hot breakfast ended up being cold. It was not a good experience. They ended up refunding me for at least one night of my stay.

The bar has been closed. The room door was bent, you have to shoulder check it to make it latch. The room was non-smoking but wreaked of cigarette smoke.

Hotel is being renovated. Main desk area was a mess. Elevators were very dirty. Breakfast area was also under renovation. The hotel should have let people know it was under renovation when reservations were made.

house keeping every three days ran out of toilet paper, towels . garbage can full. Asked to use a conference room for two hours for a pizza party for the softball team and familys and was told the cost would be $500 for a room that was not being used.

This was by far tge bedt stsy ive had away from hone. My son and i attended services in Petersburg but stayed here. The immediate look when we entered the room was comforting. There were a few gairs in ge shower, but that was exscusable. The room is set up like a studio apartment and room semi-divider. Stainkess steel ice bucket with glasses not paper cups. Ceramic coffee mugs for hit beverages not paper. This was done so perfect! Front desk was very pleasing and polite. We were greeted coming and going! We will be returning! Cant wait for the pool to reopen!

Area is under construction and the pool was not opened which is why we booked here. If certain things are not available or working, they should not be advertised. Beds were comfortable and the staff we interacted with were nice.

This hotel was in the midst of upgrading it's facility. However, the room was clean and spacious and readily accommodated our stay. We didn't get a chance to take advantage of the breakfast, but the food variety looked appealing.

Also, there is no mention on hotels.com about renovations in the main lobby area. They were at a standstill on this stay because of supply issues but not very inviting upon arrival. Your site says there are renovations going on in the gym but nothing about main areas. Also, the price went up $20 from Sunday night to Monday morning. i hesitated to make the reservation Sunday night because of a possible health issue and it wouldnt have been refundable at that point. Very annoyed to find the price hike less than 8 hours later. Room accommodations were as stated on site.

Although this property is under renovation, the staff made up for any inconveniences that might have existed. I was welcomed by a staff member every time I entered the front door. This is exceptional !

Place was dirty. I was not able to take a shower. Someone’s hair was left in it. It was a lot of hair not sure how anyone could miss if they cleaned. Do not recommend!!!

They are renovating so it is a lot of construction during weekdays but the front desk clerk was exceptional in explaining also he was very inviting, friendly and overall a superb person. The pool was clean I liked the added security detail, note it is outdoors also the gym is well equipped. Would stay again!

Absolutely terrible. If you can avoid this place, that would be best. The hotel is under construction which was not disclosed. To make matters worse, the staff, including management, were some of the rudest and difficult people ever. They do not let anyone sit in the lobby at all. We were instructed that you must buy something to sit in the LOBBY and then they claimed management didn’t want “rowdiness” in the lobby! We are 40-50 year old adults!!! They would not let us sit in the breakfast area which was just dirty folding tables when we brought some takeout into the hotel. Every time we asked a question, the answer was always no. We even called corporate Hyatt to make a complaint. The hotel is disorganized, the parking lot of full of debris and dumpsters. Overall one of the most disgusting and unaccommodating hotels ever. Do not stay here at all. Not worth your money, your time, or your sanity.

2 issues. Most important, we arrived on time, actually about 10 minutes early as we had a wedding to go to at 3:45 pm. We were told our room was not ready and it would take a few more minutes. It took over a half hour to be ready, so we were late getting to the affair, missing the entire ceremony. Less important was that the hotel lobby was under renovation so you had to be extra careful not to touch the walls due to wet white paint.

They were renovating while we were there so there was some noise and mess, not as nice as it has been in the past but I hope it will be back up to standard soon. I have always enjoyed staying there in years past.

Easy access of highway, lots of local eateries to choose from. Comfortable and spacious room. Great check-in, friendly staff.

The stay was good, the food was ok but got treated like teenagers in teouble when one of the workers started yelling at groups of parents to leave the lobby immediately after some kids caused some disturbance. This hotel should be closed while under construction. Website description is completely false. The room is good size-very old and outdated. Carpets are gross, stained/dirty and completely worn out. Bathroom is awful. Bathroom is so small you can’t sit on the toilet and close the door. Toilet was clogged when we arrived. Manager came up to unclog. Shocked the on duty manager checks you in, cooks your food, makes your drinks and came up and unclogged our tiolet. If you have a pet, request not to be put near the elevator. Every time someone got off the elevator our dog barked because the door to our room had a large gap at the bottom. Skip this hotel!!!

It was enjoyable

Especially Karen. I saw her each morning and she was always warm and greeted us with enthusiasm. Breakfast was hot aplenty and area clean and well maintained throughout the meal and stay. Hats off to all at this location. Happy Holidays!

The hotel rooms really need to be updated, fortunately they are remodeling now. The hotel lobby is very nice, but the rooms and the elevators need that remodeling done. The staff was very nice and helpful.

The property was just like I remembered years ago when I was on travel. I love the upgrades they have done to the property.

The lobby area is very nice but once you get off the elevator to your room the carpet is very dirty , the halls are not very well lit and hopefully you enjoy the smell of weed because it reeks of weed . Will not be returning. The only nice thing is the staff who work there.

All was great. We were happy they let us check in early. We were here for a treatment at the Massey cancer clinic, which was about 30 min away. The drive was worth it for a safe area and price. We really appreciated the living area and desk. They are renovating the hotel.

I liked how quiet and clean the property was. Also, liked the split room option. We’ll be back the next time we’re in VA.

The hotel looked nice. Got in the room late and found old blood stains on the sheets. Said something twice noone came to handle the issue. Upon checkout, i addressed the issue again and the girl said awww im sorry that happened.

This was the worst stay ever. The hotel smells like a dirty nursing home. I pulled a towel down in the shower and a razor fell down. Was moved to another room and there was hair in the sheets and in the shower.

The room was clean by the staff and the breakfast was hot and delicious. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The last night of our stay a waterbug invaded our bedroom space. We changed rooms in the middle of the night. Exterminator is desperately needed.

Ran out of hot water, double beds are NOT QUEEN BEDS- we had to book a second room, my husband is 6’2” and cannot sleep in a double bed! Was charged twice!
