Gym was solid. Breakfast was the usual. Pool was busy and hot tub wouldn't turn on. Decent Mexican restaurant within walking distance (Jalapenos).

Room was fresh and clean smelling, comfortable bed and we definitely enjoyed our stay.

Exceptional

Breakfast was cooked- eggs bacon sausage, oatmeal and waffles. Plenty of fresh fruit, apple, strawberries, cantaloupe, bananas. Assortment of yogurt and chocolate and white milk, Breads and muffins also available. All you can eat, I am sure I didn’t list everything like cereal but this was an excellent experience. Coffee, tea and lemon water also available

Additionally, the pool area raised safety concerns: one window remained open and could not be closed, while another had a significant crack, creating a potential hazard. The breakfast offered was disappointing, as the food appeared dry, lacking in flavor, and not fresh. Considering the amount paid for this stay, the overall condition of the hotel and room fell well below expectations. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not consider staying here again.

The room was very clean and spacious. Staff were courteous, hotel itself was was extremely well taken care of. Pool and hot tub were amazing and not over chlorinated. Its a nice little side road location so extremely easy to get to and leave. Overall, very satisfied with the stay.

The location of breakfast was fine but it was an ice storm so it was really cold by the lobby. People were so cold they took plates to their room which left utensils short for other customers. The food was fine the staff was awesome! Everything was good

I like the room itself because it came with a refrigerator. A whole refrigerator with a freezer and even a stove. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The internet service for the television was very bad and the tv shows continuously stopped playing.

Seamless checking and checking out, staff was nice and courteous and was helping whenever you need assistance.

It was hard to find as no sign on the street where you had to turn to get there.

The initial room assigned smelled like cigarettes. Clearly someone before us smoked in that room. We were immediately assigned a new room

The location worked for the funeral but was not convenient for seeing other parts of Richmond. Someone else may think it was great. The area was quiet and peaceful, and I appreciated that very much!

Large groups of loud obnoxious people hanging outside after midnight. Could hear them playing basketball and staff didn’t do anything. There was also yelling in the hallway, doors slamming, just a restless night. Thank goodness it was just one night.

Our TV didn't work and our AC went out and we had to change rooms after getting settled in and I had to give up having a room by the pool because of this

Friendly and polite staff. No issues with the room essentials; warm, clean, piping hot water and comfortable bed. Very spacious (king suite). Breakfast plentiful and varied, hot and cold. Barely anyone partaking at 0845, so seating space was not an issue. Plastic cutlery and polystyrene plates. Annoying room TV glitch if you’re a ‘Firestick streaming person’ - the additional HDMIs don’t work if the hotel’s feed is plugged in. Unplug the hotel HDMI and the TV remote becomes inoperative, so no volume control for when your device is plugged in and the default TV volume is way too loud! It’s a shame that hotels do their best to prevent total stay enjoyment - just protecting their wifi, I guess..?

I like the friendliness of the staff and the hot breakfast. I didn’t like that I slipped in the shower because there were no non slip pads or bath mats I. The shower. I also didn’t like that we found a bug I. The kitchen part of the suite as soon as we arrived. I also didn’t like that there was hair all in the extra blanket bag as if someone had used it and it hadn’t been cleaned, like hairballs and loose hair.

It was very quiet and peaceful. Easy Check- In, and super clean. i loved it and will be booking again.

Enjoyed the fireplace and outdoor firepit lounge area with grills. Room was fantastic. Free breakfast buffet. Always a win with Marriott.

When I had requested a pack and play out in the room there was none put in. In the bathroom it was not fully cleaned and only had two towels when I have two kids Then in the bed there was a wire in the sheets from a previous stay? Obviously these sheets I slept in were never changed prior to my stay.

Eat hotels stayed at in Virginia to date . Great amenities we utilized the fire pit area which my family loved . They even had a basketball court that my kids loved and supplied the basketball . Breakfast was average but good and they really couldn’t keep breakfast stocked because the volume of ppl but everything was still so great and I slept so comfortable . Everything was amazing and we will be definitely returning.

Hi class luxury in Chester VA. The fully equipped luxury suite will blow you away. That fireplace set the perfect mood on a cold November night. I really did not want to leave my room. The bed felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. Super clean, very quiet, delicious breakfast and coffee. The staff was very friendly and extremely professional. I will defiantly return.

There is a basketball court near the front door, which signaled to me that you could relax here, even if you were here on business. That’s a nice message.

We loved the level of comfort and cleanliness as well as the staff’s friendliness and willingness to accommodate our wishes. An experience that will have us go back to Marriott properties before anywhere else.

The staff was nice and the room was wonderful. The kids were excited to go to the pool, and that’s where things were terrible. The chlorine was so high that 10 minute’s after getting in both were coughing so badly and their eyes were burning ( my eyes were burning just being in there and I wasn’t in the water) My son started throwing up from coughing ☹️. We checked out in the morning and went to a different hotel.

Property was off the beaten path, so quiet. It had beautiful accommodations. Staff was pleasant. Did have an issue, though. Around 7PM the fire alarm went off, but was quickly turned off, so probably a false alarm. Fire trucks did arrive, however. About 15 minutes after the alarm was stopped, water started pouring in through the light fixtures over the sink. We called the front desk to report it and was initially told they would take care of it in the morning: we said it needed to be addressed now, it was an emergency. A few minutes later, water was pouring out of the main light in the center of the kitchen area, flooding the room. We called to say we needed to be relocated and was told the manager was on his way up. We grabbed out stuff & cleared the room. The manager arrived with the firemen, who told us to get out and not touch anything electrical. We were immediately relocated to another room that was very nice. I went downstairs to get a beer for myself and wine for my partner, and commented that we were in the room that flooded and asked if it could be complementary for our distress and inconvenience. The person at the front desk smiled and nodded. When I got the receipt for the stay, it was charged.

Facilities and staff were great. Breakfast was subpar compared to previous stays at other Residence Inn.

The staff is absolutely amazing, helpful, and friendly. Pool was a little cold though.

Convenient location but the property needs a big hug!

The suite was extremely quiet and very comfortable. It had everything we needed during our one night stay. The check-in process was efficient, and the front desk agent was very friendly and helpful.

My family and I was in town for the weekend to visit our Marine stationed at Fort Lee. The hotel was very cleaned and the staff were very professional & helpful. We had a small hiccup with ants in the room and the staff remediated the issue very timely. I would definitely stay here again.

Horrible and limited handicap access. Handicap space with no curb access and a car sitting on the only front curb access. Doors propped open throughout facility all night, I felt like I was at a fake residence inn, worst breakfast ever with only fruit options for anyone with a dairy allergy. Only redeeming thing was I left a bag and they didn’t steal it or the contents.

This year 2022 we decided to come back, but to their Chester, Virginia location and we brought some friends there with us. This location was not at all what we expected. We checked into our room 216 and it was dirty and smelled like marijuana. I looked around and noticed there were marijuana seeds on one table and another table was not cleaned and the bed didn't look properly made. Front desk did what she could to move us to another room. When we entered the 2nd room, it was cleaner and didn't smell which was good, but had wall paper that was peeling off in the kitchen and a light switch plate/cover/fixture was loose with a screw hanging out as if someone was working on it. Toilet seat looked like it was peeling. Our friends that we invited had a similar experience with cleanliness issues. In short, I don't think that we will EVER come back to this location! If you rent a "non-smoking" room, that's what you expect to get. For the money that this hotel charges, you just expect it to be cleaner and I'm not sure how this was overlooked by housecleaning. They should be charging whoever rented this room before us being that left this place nasty and smoked inside it. Me, my wife and friends had been traveling the entire morning that we were so exhausted and didn't want to fight anymore and just wanted to sleep.

The registrar was polite and professional. The room and property was clean. And the breakfast was good and had many things to choose from. I will stay here again and I highly recommend it.

This is conveniently located off of I-295, and is an acceptable suite hotel but not a bargain for the quality. There is not a separate bedroom, just an alcove, and while the room was fine, it was not exceptionally nice either. The rug in the room was wet on arrival, indicating it had been cleaned but very recently and not all that pleasant to smell or walk on. Again, nothing terrible, but not a place to make a point of staying at either. The neighborhood offered a gas station and some minimal restaurants. They do charge at sizable pet fee which was not clear at the time the reservation was made.

Customer service was pleasant

Large rooms, very comfortable beds and nice kitchenettes. The gym was small with missing equipment (e.g. 15lb dumbbells and 30lbs dumbells but no 20 or 25?). The staff was super nice and friendly, and the parking was great.

Quiet area

Breakfast bar was very nice and the host was helpful and pleasant. We really enjoyed the fireplace outside the lobby. The hotel is a great place to meet or rest during your travels. Will stay again.

Rooms are poorly lit. Had a couple bulbs not working in ceiling fixtures which made it even dimmer. Bathroom sink was slow to drain and wallpaper in bathroom had separated in corner by toilet. Otherwise, fine.

It was a pleasant stay I only had 2 gripes in room 338 the stove top was dirty and the bed was too soft it's supposed to be a king but it looks like a queen size bed to me Other than that the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating.The rooom was really nice the fire place was the real star I would stay there again

The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower was very good, with an adjustable head for easy shampoo removal. The a/c was a little noisy but very efficient. The sound actually acted as a sort of "white noise" that prevented hearing outside voices. Very good buffet breakfast. Worth the price. Would definitely book another stay.

This was a very pleasant, attractive hotel in a quiet setting. We had our dog with us and there were good outdoor spaces for walking. Kitchen was well-equippped and the space was nicely laid out. Overall a high quality suite hotel, good for a stop as part of a long trip.

Stayed here several times and always happy with the staff and facilities. Will always stay here if we are ever in the area.

I stay there when I'm visiting family always have a great time staff is great I've only had the one issued ass since staying and they took care of it very conscientious would recommend staying there

Staff was pleasant all the way around our first room 316 smelled like rotten eggs and had not been cleaned appropriately room 229 our next room smelled way better however on our second day we found empty juice pouches on the floor which tells me appropriate cleaning hadn’t been completed yet again. Our second day here in here was no coffee creamer it’s a Marriott for goodness sake I expect some things to be of standard. They also had the fire pit off most of our stay and the pool closed which isn’t necessary otherwise a nice place

I simply love ❤️ Residence Inn period! I’m always comfortable knowing our room is clean and fresh.. the staff is always kind and helpful.. it’s our monthly retreat from our grown children!! 😉 One little thing.. while I loved the ambiance of the secluded room on the corner with the gorgeous fireplace I disliked the fact that unfortunately the stairs were directly next to it along with a super heavy door that slammed each time people came in and out.. the only drawback.. but, we’ll be booking our room for next month soon!! 🥰😘
