    We loved the room, the bed was comfy, and the daytime staff was absolutely wonderful. Within the local area, there are plenty of great food selections within a 5 minute drive. Parking was so easy, unlike many hotels in DC. We really enjoyed our stay. The night shift receptionist who took my call the night prior to my arrival was overtly rude. She was curt, impatient, monotone, and rapid-fire in her responses without breaks between each words, clearly not caring if I understood what she was saying. It was clear she was annoyed to have received a phone call. She absolutely should not be the face/voice of customer service and, if Marriott were to do a secret late night call-in, I believe they would agree she should not represent their hotel. She is the sole reason I gave an 8 instead of a 10.

    I was given a room directly across from 3 elevators & I COULDN’t sleep due to all the noise of the elevators. The next morning I asked to be moved to another quieter room but the staff gave me the run around & didn’t move me. I had to ask to speak to the manager after a 2nd night of noise. They said they would speak to the manager. They never did & did not move me. The staff was really not helpful & stupid. I will be reporting them

    The staff was very helpful! We were moving our son, so needed to park a U-haul truck. They had a safe, large parking lot to accommodate us for a reasonable rate. The onsite restaurant is convenient, but definitely over priced. There is a Starbucks and other convenient restaurants nearby. Overall, a great hotel for our needs.

    Also I got a handicapped room for some reason. I did not request one. Shower was difficult to use and bathroom set up was not arranged conveniently. I was told it’s what was indicated on my reservation. Don’t know how that got there.

    Most serious, the GM takes no responsibility to personal property damage done to luggage, part of a matched, limited edition set, and absorbs ones’s time following up, to which he refuses to respond, conducting himself in a disrespectful, demeaning manner, with reckless disregard for one’s time, money, costs incurred, misleading as if he is doing something, when he does nothing, as he imposes he delusional false impression of himself that he is a great person, when nothing could be further than the truth. Most egregious, on the list, are the damages and costs incurred, while he string one along, forcing me to stay longer, pay higher than list rates, profiting from the damage his empire caused to my luggage handle whom no longer works at this hotel, as I’m forced to extend my reservation, waiting for a check, for luggage, part of a Limited edition set, while he knows this this luggage is now in an unacceptable position for travel, via plane, and admits it. I left this hotel, without resolution, as the GM refused to adhere to Marriott Corp’s written requirement for a response to my Complaint, which I opened, and someone, unauthorized, closed, and I re-opened, again. As a historical top tier Marriott client, the appropriate support is not received, and feel as though I am a cash cow, they intend to milk. Stay away!

    My room was well appointed... better than most ib n this price range. The elevators we're noisy and seemed in need of service. I believe at least one of them had an out of date inspection. Complimentary breakfast would have been appreciated.

    I've stayed at this location as recently as two years ago and it was in some disrepair this visit. In-room mini fridge was broken, but quickly replaced by maintenance. Elevators showed a lot of wear. But generally an average experience with nothing extra included (parking, breakfast). The immediate area around the hotel was also empty storefronts, but bustling downtown close to Metro stop.

    This is the second Marriott I have stayed at in the last several months where the Elevator was "Temp Out of Service" for the several day and my entire stay. The people at the front desk didn't seem to care my family was inconvenienced and that in the morning and evenings folks had to wait around for one elevator (the second was for employees/cleaning and the third was out of order) Makes me question if Marriot is looking to cut maint. exp to generate cash flow.

    Continent for our purposes. Can not compliment the staff enough. Bernadette for checking in and out and Domingo for Breakfast service. ( did not get the name of his helper but do not want to leave her out either). Our room was straighten each day I appreciated that service as well though never got the team members’s name. The room smelled fresh and clean which is tough in a DC summer. We are repeat customers and have recommended to others who do not need to be downtown. We will be back. Thank you

    upon arrival, after a trans Atlantic flight, the hotel only had boiling hot water (august 11th) - i.e., no shower unless I would like to get 3rd degree burns. The gentleman in the reception assured that the engineers had fixed this known issue, and that the water should be "showerable" the next morning - so not the case. When addressing this, and asking for a solution, the gentleman in the reception said that his hands were tied, and that id had to wait for the manager ... who showed up midday, when I was in a training class, i.e., no chance to talk to the manager. The hotel did not offer any type of alternative to the shower situation, and did also not offer any type of compensation. None. Not even a bottle of water. Utterly disappointed that such a renown hotel as the Courtyard completely missed the part of happy customers.

    Hotel located near Bethesda in the northern part of Washington. The hotel is about 400 meters from the subway and bus station. The subway takes about 40 minutes to reach the city center. Hotel with comfortable rooms. It has a restaurant and vending machines with snacks for sale. There are not many restaurants nearby.

    Pillows not comfortable at all. Temperature in the room too hot despite putting the air conditioning on, which clearly didn’t work. And when I checked out and mentioned it to the person at the front desk they shrugged and asked me if I wanted the bill. No apology, no “we will get it looked at” - nothing. I was attending a funeral for my uncle and I chose the hotel for its proximity to the funeral home. Never again, not even for free would I stay there.

    I pretty much exclusively stay at Marriot’s and have for years and can say this is one of the best and nicest I’ve ever been to. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and the room was spacious, nicely appointed with lots of conveniences and a large couch which I rarely see in a hotel. Would absolutely recommend it again.

    Customer service at the front desk was amazing. I don’t recall her name but she was an African American woman with glasses and an infectious smile. I enjoyed my stay and the property but I have to say it is because of her and the kindness she exhumed, that I will be staying again if ever in town. Thank you.

    Trying to contact the property regarding a billed charge not on my invoice was very frustrating. Calling the phone number for the hotel gave a busy signal for days. I finally found a way to leave a text message to be forwarded to the hotel. The charge went away, but I never they never acknowledged my comment.

    Would not recommend stying st this hotel in the “13” line. The room is right next to the elevator creating round the clock noise from the shaft, not hallway noise such as talking or bells ringing. Because this room was reserved and paid through Hotels.com, there was little that Marriott management was able to do directly in the way of financial compensation. They stated they are contacting Hotels.com to have one night credited. We’ll see if I ever get it. This situation makes me reluctant to use Hotels.com again.

    We have stayed here several times. It is reasonably clean. We like the location. The beds were too soft, the hot water spotty and there wasn’t much sound in the tv. We couldn’t watch it even. That being said we will be back because the rooms are large and they have a good breakfast in the restaurant in the lobby.

    The staff wasn’t very helpful. Called for towels and never received. Went to front desk ask for towels. Said they would bring Waited over an hour. Called and didn’t get for hour half. The supervisor or the restaurant manager was very rude and did not want customers. Ask for a mimosa for 5 ppl to make a toast in honor of the presidential inauguration and was told it was too early to drink. No one had had a single drink. Came down for breakfast and had plans to go to capital one. She gave us our bill for the orange juice and politely ask us to leave. Staff was the worst.

    Breakfast at the cafe was decent; the menu was average breakfast fare at big-city prices, but the service was quite friendly and the food was good. Parking is pricey, but that's the nature of the city. $30/day for the ability to go in/out daily seemed a little above average, especially when there's a parking tax added on top of that. WiFi - which appears to be something controlled by Marriott corporate - was chancy. Of two phones and two tablets that we brought with us, we were only able to connect one of each, and no one seemed to be able to advise us how to bypass the problems. There is also an exercise room that we didn't use, a pool that obviously wasn't open in December, and an open balcony that was also too cold to enjoy.

    Neighborhood and setting were great, parking was easy and helpful (they let me use the parking after checkout ). The door lock would lock the deadbolt while open. There was no security issue and I could always get the door shut and locked, but it was unexpected.

    Staff very friendly, especially restaurant headwaiter, Domingo. Front desk excellent too. Room large (2 queen-size beds) very clean , with an enormous modern TV. Bathroom small, shower utilitarian, but clean and good. Very low noise during our Oct 2024 stay. Good and reasonable parking (for area), Restaurant menu very limited but great service.
