They had a taxi machine that made it really easy to get around.

Also, there was no way to lock/secure the bathroom door.

Everything was perfect, only had one rude staff member when checking in but the manager resolved it.

Breakfast served in the downstairs restaurant was great with plenty of options available and a rare (in USA anyway) late finish time for breakfast which meant l could have a lay in and eat at our leisure. If l was in Chicago again l wouldn't hesitate to return

Room was nice, clean, and comfortable. Bed was comfortable and clean. The location was safe and within walking distance of all my activities I planned for my stay. The only issue I faced was my thermostat on the wall turned off and I couldn't figure out what happened with it. This was on my last day so it wasn't a big deal.

The hotel was amazing and a great location. The one disappointing thing was the staff and the hotel process. My reservation was to pay at the time of check in but the hotel decided they wanted to charge my payment method the night before without my knowledge. This led them to cancel my reservation because they couldn’t secure payment. Luckily, things were resolved at the front desk. Just let the customer know that is what you are going to do before doing it.

It was a great choice if you want to be in the west loop area. Easy to walk to places. Clean and great staff!

My only complaint was there were no towel holders in the bathrooms to hang the towels to dry after use.

They were able to keep my luggage while i wait for my from to be ready and provided food and beverage

The parking situation was terrible. At check-in, our room was not even ready. Once we finally got into the room, it was very dirty. There was hair in the bed, ashes from smoking, and crumbs all over the carpet. The carpet had clearly not been vacuumed at all.

Be cautious because parking is limited and you have to park offsite which is not secured. Traffic noise is also horrible at night with no sound barrier.

everything was absolutely wonderful. my friend and i arrived early in the morning after flying in and were pleasantly impressed when we were allowed a very early check-in once the staff noticed how exhausted we were. the area was quiet, the view from our balcony was gorgeous, and our room was lovely. definitely would return again.

We arrived early and were able to store our luggage at the front desk while we explored the city. The room was comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly. The lobby has plenty of seating. No issues with our stay!

Kitchen was out of service for some unknown reason so could not get dinner or breakfast and the bar closed at 10pm so couldn’t even have a drink when we got back from the theater.

Only had one breakfast - it was OK - could not warm the muffins (oh well) who wants a cold muffin, has browns were soggy. But OK overall. Good fruit. Did not park a car. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Was woken up at 8:30 am to construction happening above me, not ideal! Really disappointed that the staff never even mentioned the possible noise at check in. Staff couldn't be bothered with my complaint and I had to work until check out with annoying drilling and hammering.

Great neighborhood; safe lots of restaurants. Restaurant in the hotel is absolutely fabulous. The staff is efficient and quick and polite. The Room are large and the patios are absolutely wonderful being able to go on a balcony is very special in Chicago. Most hotels do not have a balcony.

I was not even able to stay at the hotel, once I got there they canceled my room. Saying that they charged the card on file but since it was denied they canceled. I have always paid at the location this was the location that did this. Very disappointing.

We had bagels and orange juice. It was ok. I was not aware I had to pay for parking, it should have been included since I am staying at their establishment. I had to remember to get a ticket out of the machine and have it validated every time I went in and out, unnecessary hassle. It's a nice place however it's next to the freeway so and rush hour it's noisy, I doubt their windows are sound proof. The beds are hard, should be not too hard not too soft. One big issue, we got a message saying they were working on the hot water and browish water would be coming out to just let it drain. Well, that's unsettling when you're trying to brush your teeth and take a shower. Kind of disappointing.

Convenient location, clean room, good eatery on the premises. Our room lacked extra blankets so i was cold the first night, though they brought a nice one on request the next day. One of the bedside reading lamps was excessively dim. Water had a brownish tinge which they said was due to hot water maintenance; it worked fine for bathing though and they supplied drinking water. Convenient but expensive parking on site.

Had a really great stay at this hotel in Chicago! The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect for getting around the city. Everything from check-in to check-out was smooth and stress-free. Definitely made my trip even better. I’d happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone visiting Chicago!

I travel to Chicago frequently, but I usually stay outside of the downtown area. I made an exception for this hotel as it was convenient to my event at the United Center. I was really impressed! The location was awesome, the entrance felt secluded, safe and not crowded yet walkable to dozens of restaurants, Ulta, Whole Foods and public transport. If you you’re like me and typically enjoy a free breakfast at hotels, I didn’t want to pay for the one they offered even though it looked great. I found that the attached restaurants’ $5 fresh bagel and a little fruit from Whole Foods to be perfect for me. Overall I was very happy with the quality of my room, (the beds were incredibly comfortable!) and the interactions I had with staff to check in, arrange a luggage hold and a late check out. Highly recommend this hotel for the area for sure and I will likely be back!

Excellent customet service. Our car wouldn't start. The manager got jumper cables from another employee and brought his own car out to jump ours. We didn't even ask, he saw us and volunteered to help. There was a room issue when we first checked in. It was immediately corrected and they gave us 2 free drink tix for the bar onsite.

It was in a less busy area.. The ENTIRE time we were there it stunk of marijuana. We called the front desk several times and they never offered to do anything but just said “well I guess we can move you” I paid over a $1000 for my stay and it was terrible.

We arrived and were greeted upon arrival. Check in went smooth and the staff was very friendly. We headed to the room (17th floor the very top floor). Once arrived in the room. It was very clean. A tad crowded with furniture. Every room has a small patio. We checked it out. The rails for the patios are not very secure as the rails are very loose. We headed back inside and relaxed for a bit before we headed to an event. The whole reason for booking the hotel. We headed to the event and when event came back. We were greeted upon arrival. The beds are comfortable and we were able to sleep. I would say the only downfall is one could hear the traffic but I also feel that is because the location is near major road. I would stay here again. 8/10

Room had a fridge and microwave/ice maker/vending machines were located by the elevators on our floor. Parking garage was convenient. $55 per night. Hotel is in great location- walkable to many restaurants and stores. My only suggestion is to update room furnishings. The carpet was very worn and desk looked outdated/chipped. But those minor things didn’t impact our wonderful 1 night stay in Chicago.

This hotel was okay, nothing spectacular. Very bare bones in my opinion. The rooms were also okay, housekeeping does a good job. It is central in Greektown so you’re around all the excitement. I will say the hotel doesn’t offer much in the way of amenties. If you’re looking for just a place to stay as you won’t really be in the room much , this will work just fine but if you’re looking for more then I wouldn’t suggest staying here.

The main manager was sooo rude . She needs more training & perhaps a new job if she is going to act like she hates her job so much. Also, charged us wrong for parking and wouldn’t reimburse per her being wrong. Other than that location is excellent ! The hotel itself is decent , would’ve expected more for a “4Star” hotel but not much complaints. Wouldn’t be my first choice but it’s not such a terrible choice either.

I loved my stay at this hotel. A large part of my trip was visiting restaurants in the west loop and this hotel was the perfect location for that! Just a short walk to Restaurant Row. The staff were so delightful and helpful! Shoutout Felicia and Debbie! The balcony was a lovely touch and free luggage storage after we checked out was very easy and helpful! Also, the restaurant on site was a surprise delight! Loved all the food and the staff and the coffee!!

We had a great stay at the Crowne Plaza Chicago West Loop. The hotel was very clean and affordable, which made it a great choice for our time in Chicago. Check-in was smooth, and we even got to enjoy happy hour drinks at the hotel restaurant, which was a nice bonus after a day of travel. The staff were very helpful and provided us with a list of nearby restaurants, all within walking distance, which made it easy to explore the area. We ended up going for pizza and had a great night out. The location is excellent, very walkable to shops, restaurants, and the Riverwalk, making it easy to enjoy everything the city has to offer. Overall, a great stay and a perfect base for exploring Chicago! All was great!

Thank you for the warm welcome during my recent stay. The booking process was seamless, my room was very clean, and the parking was easy to access. While parking is $54 a night, the convenience made it worth the cost. The hotel's location is excellent, with many stores reachable within a two-minute walk. I will definitely recommend your hotel to anyone visiting Chicago, and I look forward to staying with you again in the future.

I will no be staying here again. My sink, bathtub and toilet plumbing system was so bad. Especially toilet. I could not flush anything down. Bathtub and sink would hold water and would not drain. Beds are ok. Area is ok. Staff is ok except the guy, who was at least trying to be nice and welcoming.

The property has two kiey takeaways: an excellent staff, and a building in need of immediate reclamation for black mold in our room. This is a case of maintenance, not really cleanliness. The bathroom has no venting, therefore the steam is damaging the wallpaper and making it peel. The peeling corners and edges are at the top of the wall, so it's not something that you'd readily see, until you sit down. I did meet with the FOH manager, and they took action immediately. At the same time, Hotels.com charged me a 300$ deposit that was not sent to the site, and for breakfast which we paid for with our reservation. I am disputing the charge for the deposit.

The beds are really stiff and the walls are pretty thin. You can here the rooms next to you when they close thier drawers. Other than that it's great!

Disappointed by the brand , room delivered with the toilet dirty not even flushed out . TV remote control was sticky . Room indicated to have a sofa bed but was in reality only a small sofa not convertible. Breakfast provided and was a good quality . Asked for extra towels never arrived to room. All the employees were stuck up, rude to say the least, and not very compassionate let alone understanding Life on life's terms. I don't care but I will never a room from this hotel ever again. Hell I will never rent another hotel room from this flight out company again. Really they're making me mad at Expedia more than anything. There was supposed to be no deposit on my room or my car rental and there's surely wasn't a pool and my breakfast definitely was not included nor was my son's.

The room was clean. The staff was very friendly. However, I specifically chose this hotel because parking was available. When we arrived, however, parking was not available. I was instructed that there was a lot down the street, outside, and I could park there. It was very inconvenient, especially since I had a friend with me who is not capable of walking the few blocks and uses a cane. After asking several times, I was told that some Parking had opened the following morning and I moved the car. I was then charged $87 overnight instead of the advertised 54. The other issue is the fact that there was absolutely no water available in my room the second morning of my visit. There was apparently a plumbing issue and the entire hotel was out. I understand that these things happen, but there was no attempt made to make accommodations or provide water when I inquired at the front desk. There was no running water in the entire hotel, no restrooms, no faucets, nothing. Again, I understand that things happen, however, my bill totaled over $450 for two nights accommodations. Not outrageous, but not an insignificant amount, considering two of the major amenities that I had hoped to expect were unavailable.

They had my TWO rooms I had reserved weeks before sold to some other person, front desk receptionist only answer was “I came in to this mess at 11 I don’t know what to tell you” not a single let me see what I can do for you let me call around for you, NOTHING. If you want to assure you have a room book somewhere else! Definitely a 0/10 worst experience driving 5 hours and getting there at 5 am with a 5 year old . Did not accommodate anything until we insisted and insisted !

Everything was great except the bed. I was in room 1607 and the bed closest to the window needs to be replaced. Sags on the left side. Otherwise the room was great. The interstate was noisy and besides the police, ambulances and fire trucks, it was peaceful. But I guess that’s Chicago 😉.

The room was great, and the staff was polite.We had a great view from our 11 floor balcony. The toilet stopped flushing and they moved us to another room RIGHT AWAY. Great visit and the restaurant down stairs was a plus because it saved us from going out in the cold for lunch.

Hotel was very convenient for our needs as we had some business in the West Loop. Although we had a lot of traffic noise and yelling from people from the streets our room was comfortable and met our needs. Food from the deli was terrific and one meal could feed two.

Bathroom drain was slow, staff was not very courteous and pleasant instead seemed borderline rude

The front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the main lobby was beautiful. I was offered a water bottle without asking and the pineapple juice they had out was delicious. My room was very clean and i enjoyed the adjustable and well sized tv. As for downsides, It was a little inconvenient having to go to another floor for a microwave and for a proper water station. The main lobby water fountain did not look appealing. The two exposed outlets that i wanted to use in my room did not work at all and I had to move the mini fridge away in order to free up an outlet.

The location was excellent, a safe neighborhood with many restaurants and nice stores including Whole Foods in short walking distance. I'd stay here again. Try eating at Meli and Nancy's Pizza.

Price was great. Location is great. I got stuck in the bathroom because the door would not budge. It’s a hinge door that you’re able to lock. I had it unlocked and the door would not budge. I had to wait until my husband was able to come and get me out.

The room was clean, however there was no microwave to warm up our food after we just got off the road and the we didn’t want to spend more money on food and we hadn’t ate what we already had. The following night I got a pop from the pop machine and when I say it was the flattest, oldest pop I’ve ever tasted. Please replace all the pop immediately how long has it been in the machine? Staying in the heart of downtown was different we could hear the people yelling outside as well unless it was someone screaming off their balcony. It was a short distance from where we were going and we were not staying long. Looks like the best thing was the breakfast/diner and we didn’t pay the extra $28 dollars Hotels.com wanted to charge for that. The staff was super friendly and greeted us with ease everytime!

Location it's the best from this hotel close to the Fulton Market. David in the restaurant area it's very friendly and makes you feel at home. Hotel staff in general are very nice.

Was initially booked into a room that should be pulled from rotation until fixed: heavy damage to bed and furnishings, lingering smoke and chemical air freshener. To their credit, staff were very responsive and helpful and moved me to another room and comped breakfast. High marks to all staff, from front desk to housekeeping to restaurant team. But overall hotel is pretty threadbare, carpets and wallpaper are in poor condition, heater in second room didnt work and there was no heater in bathroom (cold start to a december morning), plumbing / water pressure poor, half the equipment in gym is broken (in the case of rower, dangerously so). The rates were low, for a reason. Not a terrible stay but wouldnt do it again. Excellent staff was the saving grace.

Staff excellent. Rooms are super small especially the suites. It says it can accommodate 4 people and that’s not true. The bathroom doesn’t have a rack to hang the towels. They have these windows on the restroom doors so when someone uses the restroom at 2am it lights up the whole room and wakes everyone up. Parking is overpriced and not good for trucks. No microwaves in the room, they have 1 shared microwave by the elevators that is a real inconvenience when your room is far down the hall. The ironing board was horrible. The balcony is unsafe, but the view is really nice. I love the location. If you are alone you may enjoy the stay. The bed needs updating, there is a dip in the middle. The restaurant is good i enjoyed the breakfast. Some good qualities but i think I'll stick with airbnbs.

Everything was great. Amazing restaurants are just a 10 min walk down the road. The only thing I would change is the rooms only had basic cable and we could not rent a movie or access Netflix and other streaming services.

The hotel was central to everything and having an ample parking garage was great. Granted, we had a lot of technical issues with the garage, which was frustrating and it was expensive for overnight. Headboards had sticky stuff and hair stuck to them. Tub drain slow. Asked front desk to take care of the nasty headboards and they never showed up. Staff seemed nice. For $500 a night I would have liked a couple waters in the room and a cleaner room.

They did not offer a complimentary breakfast, so we did not opt to have their breakfast. I did need to call room service to ask for bedding for the pull-out couch. It took about an hour to receive the bedding & I did have to call a second time to remind them that we had requested it.

The door handle on the sliding glass door to the balcony was broken on the inside and non existent on the outside. The exhaust fan didnt work in the bathroom. The headboard was sticky from people putting their greasy heads on it.

We decided to stay here because it was conviently located, close to the highway, close to shops and plenty of restaurants. Upon arriving the people were extremely polite and helpful. They allowed check in early which was awesome and not expected! Our bed was super comfortable and the balcony was nice! The room was relatively clean just a few minor things i noticed missed. Thats the struggle with being a house cleaner for years lol but other than that it was great!

The outside of this hotel looks old but the inside is really nice. I liked all the food I got at the connected restaurant. The rooms were really nice. We received excellent service. The lobby was bustling at all hours but the floors were quiet.

I've stayed here several times before though it was several years ago but I was pretty disappointed with this stay. The location was great for me so that is why I chose it again but the quality of this hotel has really gone downhill. The first room I was given was musty and dated and just felt gross. I ended up having to switch rooms in the middle of the night because it also had a strange mechanical sound, likely from the elevators (I was on floor 16). My new room was better (and an upgrade) but still felt a bit dated. The staff was a mixed experience as well. When I inquired about the billing at check in, since it was different than what I was told here on Expedia, I asked about it. The front desk immediately got defensive and didn't offer much help. The front desk staff that helped me in the middle of the night when I needed to change rooms was much nicer and accommodating. I don't plan to come back to this hotel - with the amount of hotel options in the city, you can find a much better experience for your money. I'm disappointed because it really did impact my visit and trip. I'd recommend looking elsewhere unless you really don't care about the quality of the hotel. Also - the road noise from the interstate is very loud. Nothing that could be done about that from the hotel's perspective but worth mentioning for light sleepers.

Having lived in Chicago for 20 years and still going there frequently, I know that it's not just about where the hotel costs, it's equally important to know what location works best based on what you want to do. Staying at this hotel in Greektown for the first time was surprisingly delightful. Was easy to get to both the Art Institute and Steppenwolf Theater by car. Pleasure eating at Athena Restaurant and being across from Mariano's & Stans for donuts. All being said, the one downside is it is really noisey at night due to being next to the Kennedy. However, would still definitely go back!

Excellent customer service at front desk. Very welcoming ladies, especially Tiara. The room was clean and comfortable. The night view from the balcony was lovely with peaks at the the Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower) and the 311 South Wacker Drive building, which are referred to as the "King and Queen of the Chicago skyline". Loved the Greek town area and food and the grocery options across the street. The only inconvenience was the very early housekeeping and the 6 am extremely loud repair/renovation work on the 8th floor which could bring even a dead person from the death. Did not rest very well at night and early mornings.

Good location. The hotel, although seemingly appealing on the surface, has a few notable drawbacks, including shoddy and neglected rooms. The front desk staff is also not consistently attentive. Some front desk members were very polite and helpful, while others were short and ill-tempered. All in all, a mediocre experience.
