Reviews
The hotel receives mixed reviews with guests appreciating its prime location and friendly staff, but expressing dissatisfaction with small room sizes and outdated facilities. The hotel is described as clean and comfortable, with excellent customer service, but some guests have experienced issues with parking, noise, and room amenities.

I love the walking distance to the Chicago River and all the restaurants! Yoy have to pay $30 for parking at a lot matbe 3 blocks away.

Location was perfect, check in smooth and staff very helpful Room was tucked in a corner next to the laundry with two small windows one of which faced a wall. It was only for one night so not a problem but might have been if staying for longer.
- 5/5
We love the River Hotel and stay there whenever we are in Chicago. There were two issues this time which were surprising given how perfect they usually are: the tv didn’t seem to work and we were given a double bed instead of a queen. The hotel was extremely busy so we didn’t try to change rooms. Next time we’ll check amenities right away.
- 5/5
Excellent location, staff was extremely helpful and the room was always maintained, even when we didn’t need anything. Definitely staying here again.

They gave us better room the next day the ones we actually booked through booking .com The room I booked was not the room I received on the first night was very upset I came with my spouse and family and the rooms felt like false advertising it was more of motel than a hotel

Location. Bed had hair in it.(previous person), make up on sheets, no trash bags in room. Rude guy running the kiosk.

Concierge Tony and Ronnie were beyond amazing. They both anticipated our needs day and night and met them exceptionally. Valet parking was a bit confusing so we parked 3 blocks away.
- 3/5
Location & Cleanliness No on-site restaurant and bar. Booked with breakfast, but received vouchers at neighboring places. Standard room is very small and two suitcases won’t fit, not much storage for clothing either …

- 3/5
Not too impressive other than the prime location. We had booked a room for four adults and we got one queen bed and one sofa bed for one person .
- 5/5
Staff was excellent, location was top notch and the hotel architecture was nostalgic. I would definitely go back.
- 5/5
Excellent place to stay, as we found it central & walkable to most parks & attractions. The place was spotless & the staff were fantastic.
- 5/5
It was expensive, but it was the least expensive hotel I could find in Downtown Chicago. It's only a few blocks away from where The Architecture Tour starts, and it's right on The Chicago River where you can have a relaxing walk by the river. The only negative to this hotel, and it's not the hotel's fault, but it's directly across the street from The Trump Tower.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean room, let us check in early
- 5/5
Small room but given the location and views its very worth it. Check in staff was great and very welcoming.

Members of the hotel staff were very helpful, whether providing directions or supplying fresh towels. They were kind and courteous and made us feel welcomed. The location of the River Hotel could not be more convenient, as it is in the heart of the city, making it easy to get to bus lines and trains. I would highly recommend River Hotel for your next visit to Chicago.
- 2/5
Received mine back after 7 working days No one response to message
- 5/5
River Hotel is located right in the center, saves you lots of time for transportation. Hop-on-off bus is across, famous river walk is at your feet. Boat rides are in 5 min walking distance. Room was very clean, towels changed every day, a/c was relatively quiet and could be set at your liking. Amazing flowless check in and out, front desk staff very friendly and helpful as well. I have recommended this hotel to my friends.
- 5/5
Beautiful views of River.
- 2/5
This is not a four-star hotel, as advertised. It's the old Club Quarters with a new name, which means a drab room for a reasonable price, with unhelpful front desks as an added feature. The desk clerk sent me on a wild goose chase looking for a drug store that had been closed at that location for months (at least) and then refused to send me my driver's license, which I left in my room after I checked out. I told them I'd pay whatever it cost to send it to me. But no, I had to arrange for Fedex to pick it up myself. YOu get what you pay for, which isn't much.
- 4/5
location. I love the self check-in/out option, microwave, and refrigerator.
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Close to the red line. Great for Cubs and W. Sox game visitors.
- 4/5
This is an older hotel but very good value and perfect location right across the street from River Walk. It was wonderful having 2 separate bedrooms and two bathrooms as well as a kitchenette.
- 5/5
Location is the best. You can walk to anywhere. No car needed. Parking is expensive and just absolutely not need wast money. No GYM, no bar, no restaurant in the hotel. But, you don’t need these. Common area is at 2nd floor with sign saying member only. The staff will not tell you that. We figured out by ourselves. Overall, we have a great time.
- 5/5
prime location, very friendly staff!! above and beyond. clean rooms.

The WiFi was not good. Very slow and not helpful. Everything else about the stay was great

Good value for the price. Clean enough and well located.
- 5/5
Loved the reusable water bottles that are provided. The espressos throughout was a very nice touch. Will be back again in October for sure!
- 3/5
Random person tried getting into our room at 1:00AM. Spoke with someone at the front desk and they advised they would look into it. Put a damper on our final night with reports of tourists being robbed at hotels in the area.
- 5/5
The staff were extremely hospitable and helpful. Our room had a view of the river. There was a fridge and microwave in our standard room. Clean. Nice bed. Beautiful property. Great location. Nespresso coffee maker in the room. Coffee lounge and meeting rooms on the 2nd floor. We would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
The hotel had an excellent location
- 3/5
Great staff at the front desk, but the hotel room overall was just ok - small and a bit old. The bedding was nice. The positive was a convenient location and good price, the drawbacks were no restaurant or bar onsite, no real lobby to lounge in. Overall ok, but not great.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect. The only downside is that they don’t have a restaurant and I didn’t know that before booking. Otherwise, everything was great.
- 5/5
The staff was very helpful and friendly.
- 5/5
The room was very small but perfect for one person. No fridge but bed and bathroom and tv were all great
- 5/5
Very pleased with my stay. Room was a little small but otherwise very good. Clean and well maintained. Location is excellent.
- 5/5
Really lovely location for a great price in the heart of downtown with a great view of the river.
- 5/5
My stay at the River Hotel was excellent from start to finish. The location is unbeatable, making it easy to explore the surrounding area, and the views were a great bonus. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay.
- 4/5
The front desk - didn’t catch his name but was very welcoming and knowledgeable. The bed was a little to firm for my liking but overall pleasant visit
- 4/5
The property was in excellent condition and excellent location on the riverfront and easy walk to Michigan Ave shops and restaurants. The only downside is that this whole area is extremely loud well past 3am(loud motorcyclists, cars revving and loud music from passing cars). It was impossible to sleep much, even though the room was new, fresh, and clean. If you're used to city noise, you'll love it!
- 5/5
This location is excellent for sightseeing and going to the theater.
- 2/5
The AC didn’t work at first. The bed space was crowded. There were no nightstands. Too much money for what was provided.
- 3/5
Good for business not really a vacation spot for me. No breakfast and small personal room
- 5/5
The staff was excellent especially Ronnie and Pedro they both went beyond the call of duty to help and assist me and my group also the hotel not far from the Riverwalk
- 3/5
Clean room, great position, but small room and bed not queen as reserved, old amenities. No fridge.
- 5/5
Love it as always
- 4/5
Hotel is a beautiful, smaller boutique property.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and excellent location. Loved our 2 bed suite with 2 bathrooms and a kitchen! Would absolutely stay again!
- 5/5
I really appreciated the latte machine on the second floor
- 5/5
Good for what you pay and the location can’t be beat.
- 4/5
Bar soap was not very effective. Shower curtain leaked water through whole bathroom.
- 5/5
I'm looking forward to my next trip to Chicago and The River Hotel is my go to spot to stay.
- 5/5
Hotel was a great location staff was very friendly. Wished pillows were better but all in all great
- 5/5
excellent stay
- 5/5
As soon as we arrived Hotel Staff was very friendly and helpful. Valet parking was very convenient.
- 5/5
Get the breakfast, you go next door with coupons and it’s excellent! So convenient. We also went there for drinks and appetizers before going to the Chicago theater.
- 4/5
My mom and I decided to do a girl’s trip to Chicago, and River Hotel was one of the best decisions we made. The staff were so friendly, the rooms were clean, and there were plenty of amenities. My mom especially loved the complimentary Nespresso in our room. My only qualm with the hotel was how thin the walls were at our hotel. We could hear the neighbors, though muffled. It’s an older hotel, to be frank.
- 5/5
Everything was good. Nothing to complain
- 5/5
We’re given the corner room with a window and the awesome view of the river. Clean room, very comfortable pillows and mattress. 2 bathrooms with 2 queen beds. Spacious. Staffs were kind and courteous. Location is very central to everything we wanted to experience on this trip.
- 5/5
Our go to hotel when visiting Chicago! It’s centrally located and has everything we need at a hotel! Will definitely come back!
- 2/5
Oh, River Hotel, how do I hate you? Let me count the ways. It was very difficult to find the hotel. It's narrow and short squished between two buildings which are much bigger. The hotels directions are terrible. All I have to say is that it's right next to the Sofitel, and I would've found it immediately. Despite knowing the city well, I spent about an hour driving around looking for it.My car sat out front, engine running, in the valet area for up to 2 hours before *I* saw it and told them to park it. My first key didn't work so I had to traipse back downstairs to get a new one. After I entered my room and got myself organized I looked for the room service menu. I wanted a bite before I left for my event. No room service. Then I remembered the hotel had a lounge which served food. I went downstairs to the lounge, and what did I discover but a room with some comfy chairs a coffee machine and a refrigerator full of water. Period. After having complained, I will say that the rooms and bathrooms are quite clean, above average. So kudos to housekeeping! Also kudos to the young woman working the desk wearing a dark suit and pink glasses. She was tremendously helpful to me. Unfortunately, that car sitting out front ruined the staff score.
- 2/5
The manager was mean and not understanding and had horrible customer service. The towels had stains on them. The carpet smelled mildewy. Just definitely did not look like a 4 star hotel.
- 5/5
Perfect for couples and the location is amazing
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
This hotel is conveniently located on the Riverwalk, which makes it accessible to so much. Our room was a little on the small side and the air-conditioning did not work. The staff was friendly and it’s a great location to catch an Uber.
- 4/5
Bon hôtel mais chambre très petite.
- 5/5
Really nice rooms, and the staff was amazing!
- 5/5
Good hotel. The river view is surprisingly nice if you want to spring for it. A bit noisy at night with downtown sirens. I recommend bringing earplugs (I did, and I slept fine). Easy access to nearby restaurants, river walk, the Art Institute, Willis Tower, and the Magnificent Mile. You can even walk all the way up to Lincoln Park and beyond if you have the time and inclination.

EXCELLENT LOCATION
- 5/5
Room was a little small but worked out perfect! Great location.
- 2/5
The room was okay. There was mold In the shower and the room kinda smelled weird. The carpet also had some very questionable stains. So honestly I wish we didn’t stay here.
- 4/5
Staff were very helpful. Location was great. We paid for off site parking and had no issues!
- 5/5
Everything was great! No complaints other than you are always booked. We love your hotel!
- 5/5
Beautiful, clean room with an incredible downtown Chicago view. Totally worth it
- 1/5
Everything was great until morning then our room filled up with smoke otherwise it was good
- 5/5
Great place, staff and location we will be back again for the 3rd time
- 5/5
Stay was lovely, small room. I booked a king room and you could tell they put two twins together to make it a king but overall, very clean & loved the shower pressure!
- 5/5
Excellent location, very clean room and friendly staff
- 5/5
Wish they had a mini fridge
- 5/5
I have stayed at the River Hotel multiple times and never been disappointed. Its convenient location downtown, clean rooms, and helpful staff work well for the business trips I take to Chicago.
- 5/5
The only downside is the elevator waiting time for higher floor. But the staff was super friendly!
- 1/5
This hotel has the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
- 5/5
Wonderful and helpful sstaff. Excellent location
- 4/5
This property is in an excellent location. Can walk anywhere downtown. When our first room had a broken air conditioner, within minutes we were moved to another floor with working air. Nice having a good restaurant right next door and a Starbucks around the corner. The building is old but cleaning staff did a beautiful job.
- 5/5
Excellent location, great view on the river. Very comfortable room.

Wonderful location for shops and restaurants! Walking distance from Michigan ave and the parks ! I’ve stayed here 5 times in the last 3 years I always enjoy my stays

The community “living room” space was really great. I would avoid room 204 as it’s directly behind the shared space, you hear all of the activity from the shared space.

On the second day of our stay, Sunday morning around 10am, we went to visit one of the restaurants recommended by the hotel. As we exited the lobby, I was randomly assaulted and punched in the face by a stranger. It was completely unprovoked and honestly shocking. I’ve never experienced anything like this before. We reported it to the police, but what stood out just as much was the lack of any visible security presence at the hotel. For a place recommending nearby spots, there should be a stronger sense of safety right outside the property. This completely changed how we felt about our stay. Guests should feel safe coming and going, and that wasn’t the case here.
- 5/5
The hotel is ideally located. The massive TRUMP sign is hard to overlook but it is part of Chicago. The staff was great and the room was clean and well laid out.
- 4/5
I didn't use any amenities but the location is great, staff were very responsive and friendly. Cool old building. I found the light el train noise quite soothing to fall asleep and wake to.
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
I was just looking for a simple small room with one queen bed. I didn't need extras because we were just planning on sleeping one night and leaving early. I don't like heights so they accommodated me with a second floor room. They were awesome. The only thing that I didn't like was the cost of using the valet service. We had them park our car when we arrived to check in and bring it out to us when we checked out. It would be nice if they charged according to how many times you used the services.
- 3/5
Room was way too hot. Thermostat was broken and it didn’t get repaired until my second night.

It was a beautiful hotel and the bed was comfortable. Perfect for the time we were in Chicago.
- 5/5
Excellent location, friendly staff, and great amenities. Would recommend and stay again!
- 5/5
clean room, nice staff
- 5/5
I stay there. Every single time I go to Chicago, the staff is the best.
- 5/5
pretty nice
- 5/5
Location was brilliant that was all
- 5/5
Loved our check-in and check-out staff! Love the location. Love the second floor lounge area, coffee machine service free, water stations, large clean 2 bedroom/2 bathroom suites, great accommodations and service for our group of 20 friends and family with multiple rooms!! Love the ability to store our luggage before check-in and after check-out if needed.
- 5/5
Clean room friendly staff and great location

Very convenient location, kind staff, and comfy rooms.
- 5/5
Good location, friendly staff
- 4/5
Convenient location and great river view. Room was small, but expected in Chicago.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly and helpful! Rooms were a bit smaller than expected but were good for a quick stay. The coffee in the lounge area was really nice to have too.
- 4/5
Clean and spacious room. Good location.
- 3/5
The room was decent
- 5/5
Clean room! Friendly and helpful staff. Room was small and the AC wouldn’t work. Staff gave me a fan that made it tolerable
- 5/5
Everything is perfect
- 5/5
Clean, friendly staff. In the middle of downtown. Very nice historical building.
- 3/5
Check-in was very busy. Try to do it before hand on your phone. There was no refrigerator in the room. Could not take Pizza back. Should have read the description very carefully. Twin size beds. Very clean staff was very helpful.
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Perfect location. Staff could be nicer. But overall nice stay.
- 4/5
Great location. Very computerized.
- 5/5
I always love staying at the River Hotel when I’m in Chicago. It’s in the heart of the city, which makes it so easy to walk to everything. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. It’s become one of my go-to hotels whenever I visit Chicago.
- 5/5
Small, private, quite and perfect location
- 5/5
I stay at the River Hotel was a very comfortable day. The roads are clean. Front desk was helpful for everything I needed. I would highly recommend staying staying there?
- 5/5
Accessible to all main spots in Chicago
- 5/5
The stuff was really nice. Rooms didn't have fridge and microwave. Clean rooms and location is great.
- 1/5
I complain the manager there. Today 4/3/2026, I checked out around 8:30 AM and had a seat on the train around 9:40 AM. Before I sat down, I took out of the glasses box and reading material as usual. But as soon as I opened the glasses box, I found nothing there, no glasses. I called the hotel right away to tell the manager there to ask for him for helping to find my reading glasses and told him, I left my reading glasses on the comforter and folded it. He said he would help and called me soon. Until 4 PM, still nobody called me and I called again. After I was hold for 20 minutes, he said he sent 2 people and nothing there and the room was cleaned. I asked him why he did not send someone in the first place after I called. He said he was so busy and he had 300 rooms to take care. He did not care about the customers.
- 4/5
The staff was great and very helpful. Both people I talked to were helpful with the check in process and how to figure out parking. I had a couple issues with the room itself. The sink was hard to shut off. If you weren’t paying attention, the sink would be left running just a tiny bit. You had to wiggle the handle around a bunch to get it to finally turn off. The bed wasn’t great for two people. It was pushed right up against the window so the person on the inside could only get in by crawling in at the foot of the bed. I didn’t have that issue when I stayed there a few years ago. Other than those two things I had a very nice stay. The location is perfect and within walking distance to a lot of things.
- 5/5
Nice rooms and view of the river. Never stayed somewhere with a water refill station, which is super convenient. Most places give you a few complimentary bottles a day then make you pay for more. Love the variety of snacks that come in the room as well, and the packaging is great for safety. Placing a light switch and the thermostat by the bed is convenient. Great place.

Room served its purpose! Stayed in the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite. Was very spacious, together but separate sleeping area! Worked out perfect. Close to all attractions!

Amazing place!
- 4/5
yes clean spotless. room was small but comfortable and for the price we were very pleased
- 5/5

- 5/5
Wonderful staff
- 4/5
The room was exactly as advertised, efficient, clean , and priced right.
- 5/5
Very warm atmosphere
- 5/5
Wonderful staff
- 5/5
The room was very nice, staff were very friendly but what made it excellent is the location. I went with my mom who can’t walk long miles but then the location made it easy for her to have the River Cruise as well as the Millennium Park which are just few minutes away from the hotel.
- 4/5
The staff was cool, they even gave me a free upgrade to a room with river view for me and my girlfriend on Valentine’s Day. The only thing I wish was outlined is that they had a $100 holding fee before hand.
- 5/5
The room did not seem to have soundproof windows but I was so tired and the bed was super comfortable that I passed out. They had shampoo and conditioner but no body wash. The shower was a bit outdated but there was plenty of hot water! Valet had our car waiting for us which made the $76.00 in/out parking fee kinda worth it.
- 4/5
It was nice
- 5/5
Everything was exceptional and very clean
- 5/5
Staff is so kind & helpful!
- 2/5
The room was barely attended to. The bathroom toilet was used and filled with toilet paper. The bed was a mess and the whole room was crowded. Despite paying for parking with my reservation they did not validate it properly and was charged full price for parking.
- 4/5
Great customer service! We were on the 19th floor and were told the room thermostat on the upper floors don't work well. The room was hot but they did bring us a floor fan.
- 5/5
I really loved the location of this hotel. It was right in the city is walking distance to every hotspot in the downtown Chicago area ie. The Bean, Riverwalk, Skydeck etc. The room I had was basic with a kitchenette. There’s another hotel right next door if you want drinks/food for the evening. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
Very helpful
- 1/5
We did not stay in the room for longer than 15 minutes. We left and had to find other accomodations. The room had marks all over the wall and stains on the carpet, as well as what I believe to be part of the key card system for the door haphazardly duct taped onto the wall. It kept falling off and getting lodged in between the door and wall. The one star is for the gentleman at the front desk who was calming down a domestic dispute in the lobby while helping us check in. Hotel should give that guy a raise.
- 4/5
Conveniently located, easy check in/check out, quiet inside, love the 2nd floor coffee. Did NOT like being on the Club Quarters side when I booked the River Hotel side. Also, bathroom counter wasn’t cleaned.
- 4/5
Clean room and staff was great!
- 5/5
Room was very clean and organized. Staff was very helpful throughout the process.
- 5/5
👍
- 5/5
The location is great and the staff was great as well, the elevators are a little bit tricky but overall everything was perfect
- 5/5
Great staff, awesome location, and clean rooms
- 5/5
It is challenging to articulate the experience without appearing critical, as the accommodations are among the most compact I have encountered, the facility is of an older vintage, and parking is available off-site. Despite these aspects, the establishment possesses a distinct character. While it may not offer the modern amenities or luxurious ambiance of neighboring properties, it fulfills its purpose effectively. I would consider returning for future stays.
- 4/5
I had to pay for breakfast (only 25 usd vaucher)
- 4/5
family room includes 2 rooms without doors, living room and only 1 window, and that comes back. Well, in general, the room is clean, there is an electric stove, oven, sink, overall everything for comfort is in room except Windows.
- 5/5
The room which is a basic room, (1 bed , 1 desk and chair, nightstand, bathroom) was very clean. I just needed somewhere to crash at night after my meetings in the day. Nicely located by Magnificent Mile.
- 5/5
Staff was very courteous. Only issue was the parking to drop off bags. There was none as the other hotels valet would not let you pull up any place near them and we had no valet and cars were just parked where we were to drop off valet even though they weren’t suppose to be. Hut would definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
Room and staff great!

Cleanroom
- 5/5
Great staff and clean rooms
- 5/5
Clean, great linens and good towels. Comfortable bed and great view of the rever through a side window. Small room (like Paris) but the price and location is right. No restaurant but one next door and lots around. Attentive staff. I will be back!!!
- 5/5
What great value i found at the River. Spotless room, friendly and attentive staff. Can't wait to return!
- 5/5

- 5/5
Very good location. Cozy room
- 5/5
Great bed and comfortable pillows!
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 5/5
The clerk that checked me in, made it very easy comfortable/ very good at breaking things down
- 5/5
Besides, the staff is kind, nice, and welcoming; the room is spotless; everything is clean; and the location is super convenient. Easy to check-in, water filling station on each floor, and check-out time is noon (most places are at 11am). We also love that the Nespresso coffee machine is in the room. You can start the morning with good coffee in the room. Though there is a coffee station on the second floor 24 hours. We would choose this place again next time. :)

The suite was fantastic with lots of room, super comfy beds and was spotless on arrival, the coffee was great (both in room and on second floor). The second floor wais awesome with Lora of space and tables to use for eating or visiting or even just sitting quietly with morning coffee. Jacques and Pedro at the front desk were extremely warm, kind, friendly, helpful and accommodating. I will stay here again every time I visit Chicago! Thanks so much for making our stay so pleasant and comfortable!

Great stay, good location, accommodating staff.
- 5/5
Perfect location
- 5/5
Amazing !!!
- 5/5
I absolutely love this hotel so much! When I went to check in, they upgraded my room to a river view! That was so kind of them. This is my third time staying at the River Hotel. It is a great location and is walking distance to practically everything I wanted to do. The housekeeping is AMAZINGGG and left my room spotless everyday. The staff here is beyond friendly, and they made me feel so welcomed. This will always be me go to hotel. Thank you to everyone who made my experience wonderful!
- 5/5
Room was very nice and clean
- 2/5
The room was super tiny. Didn’t not match the picture
- 5/5
Really nice hotel, easy check in and check out, great location right on the river. Elevators can take a long time going down to the lobby though, had to take the stairs down a few times
- 4/5
Love the coffee on 2nd floor- game changer! Clean, convenient, very affordable
- 5/5
always upgrade us to river view!
- 5/5
Great location, clean room and comfortable bed.
- 5/5
Good value
- 5/5
We are a family of 4, with two 8 years old boys who came to Chicago for few days. We chose this hotel mainly for the location, the price and the room that offered a suite-style 2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms. While there is no doors to separate the bedrooms, they are far enough to allow some separation. The room was clean with a full equiped kitchen. The staff was very nice, smily and very helpful. We also took the option of the parking as we drove from Ohio that, is a way cheaper option to park in Chicago. Overall, it was a very good surprised with a great quality/price.
- 5/5
Clean room and friendly staff
- 5/5
Good
- 3/5
Could have been cleaner but staff was friendly and area was convenient.
- 5/5
Very good service
- 5/5
Our stay was A+, the staff was courteous and helpful and always went above and beyond in service. The location was great across from the Riverwalk and central to many other Chicago attractions. We will be back!!
- 5/5
Great stay and superior room had a great river view!
- 5/5
This hotel stay was exceptional from start to finish. Three nights on the 34th floor overlooking the river was awesome. The location downtown was the best ever.
- 3/5
The room was in pretty decent condition, I appreciate how clean it was. Very convenient location. The bed was TERRIBLE you could feel every spring and it was rock hard. Customer service wasnt my favorite. Parking was far away but they validate so thats nice.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly
- 5/5
Extremely accommodating staff, was able to check in early and check out late
- 1/5
But the staff was very nice & refunded our charge then we left - would never ever stay here again
- 5/5
great place to stay
- 5/5
This hotel is located right in the heart of downtown Chicago. I booked the Superior room with a view of the river walk. My room had a refrigerator and a microwave. The view was perfect to see the fireworks. I was there for NYE. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants, shopping, and steps away from the river walk. The hotel employees were helpful and friendly. Also, if you take the Big Bus to see the city, pick up is across the street from the hotel. The largest Starbucks in the world is within walking distance of the hotel. The price was great!! The only con is the rooms could use some updates, but I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.
- 4/5
Nice hotel in a great location. Very very slow elevators.
- 2/5
The sofa bed is so poor that no one is able to lie down properly…. And there were no comforter available for sofa bed so had to call multiple times to front desk for it
- 3/5
Staff is not particularly friendly, but not rude either. For the 2nd time we stayed there, we couldn’t get hot water in bathroom.
- 5/5
Location location location. Across from the Riverwalk. A block from Michigan avenue.
- 5/5
Very approachable staff especially the front desk. Fast transactions checking in and out.
- 1/5
This hotel is a DUMP. Do NOT stay here. Smells like mildew, is the size of a thumb, I roasted myself there also because the heat was INSANE. Not even one person fits normally in this minuscule room. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.
- 5/5
Staff was amazing and pointed us to fun things in the area
- 3/5
Hotel was good but the expensive valet was a surprise. $76 a night.
- 5/5
Me, my nieces, SIL, and her Mom all stayed in two rooms. We have a tradition of going to the Walnut Room, staying downtown overnight, and making a weekend of it. It was perfect. Perfect location, Pedro was outstanding. I really loved it. Will definitely be back.
- 5/5
upgraded us rooms when we saw imperfections:)
- 5/5
I had very good experience
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly! And loved the stay thank you!
- 5/5
Perfect location in the heart of downtown Chicago, everything is a walking distance, shops, river walk, restaurants. Love that they allow pets. Our little doggie also had a wonderful time exploring the beautiful city. Bed is so comfortable so are the pillows. Staffs are so nice and welcoming which is a big plus. Thank you
- 5/5
Great staff & eco-friendly
- 5/5
Nice hotel
- 5/5
The room was clean but not suitable for two people. And the window was drafty; I had to put a pillow on the windowsill. The staff was very polite.
- 4/5
Would stay there again
- 4/5
Rooms need a little updating. But very nice overall, the location is on point.
- 5/5
I was there for the new years celebrations downtown. The hotel was very clean and organized. The security was also very attentive. They were checking people at the door and making sure that only registered guest came in which made me feel at ease, and at night the noice control was super quiet. For that festive occasion it was very controlled.
- 5/5
Not needed
- 5/5
Front desk staff was courteous and very helpful.
- 5/5
Staff were amazing, room was large enough, suited everything we needed
- 5/5
Heat was finicky but great location and comfortable beds.
- 3/5
Location was excellent. Room was dated and had a large collumn in the middle that made it difficult to get in and out of bed. Bed was very small and very uncomfortable. Definately needs a renovation then it would be fine.
- 5/5
Clean friendly hotel
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 5/5
Gr8
- 5/5
Nice hotel with a great location along the River and steps to attraction in that area. We appreciated that the property has suites at reasonable prices and breakfast at a real attached restaurant. We'd definitely go back to the River Hotel.
- 4/5
Great location, clean room, nice lobby. Tv wasnt working right, and climate control was difficult, fold out sofa was HARD and uncomfortable. I asked for extra towels and blankets before we arrived and didnt receive
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
Great location & room
- 5/5
Staff was wonderful, the room was small but clean, and the location is great. Would definitely recommend!
- 5/5
It's great
- 5/5
Had. Great stay staff was amazing
- 5/5
GREAT view… like amazing, love the complimentary bottled water, love being close to everything (walking distance), and great coffee! Valet is so expensive, but to be expected for Chicago! Energetic and kind staff!
- 5/5
All of the above.
- 4/5
Location convenient
- 3/5
The room was too small for three people the queen size bed had a dip in it. The sofa bed was very uncomfortable. Waited over an hour just for a roll of toilet paper.
- 5/5
Amazing staff! Clean rooms and we got upgraded for free. Amazing stay!
- 5/5
Very nice hotel
- 3/5
Good location. Dated / aged rooms that need a good renovation at least.
- 5/5
All smiles
- 4/5
The blanket was a little dirty
- 5/5
Clean room and bed not the toilet seat and cover, the room was cold even with the heating open, expensive for the very small room.
- 5/5
This is an amazing hotel, from the price to the views everything is amazing!
- 5/5
Great service at front
- 5/5
This is our fav place to stay when visiting Chicago. It's affordable, clean, and safe while also being in a perfect location to enjoy all Chicago has to offer. We always get the most affordable room which some may consider too small while being perfect for us!
- 5/5
The staff was amazing and our room was just as good. Can’t wait to come back!
- 5/5
Will be back!!!!! Great hotel for the price.
- 5/5
The service and how attentive everyone was definitely stood out to me.
- 5/5
Beautiful view I loved everything about my stay not a bad size room for two people especially not being in the room a lot I did have a small problem the lady first told me that the cleaning crew wouldn’t come in the room unless I asked and I came back to the room with it cleaned up and I never asked to have it cleaned I just get worried when I have people come into my personal space not knowing who the people are only because I’ve had experience of people going through my things before so that’s it other than that I loved my experience at this hotel
- 5/5
Great location, comfortable room, and nice staff.
- 5/5
Room was very clean, and they held our luggage safe before and after check in. Will book again next time in Chicago
- 5/5
This hotel was very helpful and all the situations that my wife requested
- 4/5
Staff responsive room clean a little worn down
- 5/5
Amazing great service yes recommend!
- 2/5
Bathroom could use some help. Wooden frame around mirror worn, outlet cover in bathroom is loose. Outlet is over toilet not to safe when using hair dryer, curling iron.
- 2/5
We stayed twice. Both times the first room sub par and both times clerk wanted us to get a queen room with a microwave rather than king bed room that we wanted. On this last time, room 2414 was too hot and finally moved to 7th floor room with its own thermostat and much nicer bathroom. Would not recommend River Hotel. Too hit or miss!
- 5/5
Close and convenient to everything! Great view from the room :)
- 3/5
The location and view were great! The staff was phenomenal. The room not so much. The couch in my room was dirty and torn. I draped a sheet over it to sit down. The sink in the rest room was cracked. They definitely need to renovate this place.
- 5/5
It was great overall. Exceptionally clean. Elevators were working. Great location. Easy to check in an out KIOSKS and you get your own keys at the kiosks! Brunch next door is great. Good location.
- 5/5
Ron helped us with luggage storage and then check in. Excellent customer service!! So far our stay has been great!!
- 5/5
Location of the Hotel is very nice and the hotel is very clean.
- 3/5
Staff was very good and helpful but the room was terrible we have a baby with us so putting the stroller inside and out was difficult bcoz of the weird location of the room entry door
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful, room was small with few amenities but that was what we were expecting with the price! Great place to stay a few nights if you're looking to explore the city.
- 5/5
The ease of checking in was perfect! Because i had google wallet, i didnt even have to stand in line to check in. We had great room overlooking the riverwalk and it was beautiful! The lights at night we beautiful to look at. The beds were comfortable. Slept so good i didnt move and didn't wake up stiff. It was like sleeping on a cloud! The staff were all very nice. Not just nice because that's their job but it seemed as this was who they truly were as people in general. The hotel was located near so much. We paid for valet only because that's our preference, but we walked to most of the places we went. We have even walked as far as the navy pier, and it was a comfortable walk. I would stay here every time i visit this city because of the comfort, location and ease. We actually stayed on the club quarter side both times we stayed. We love it here at this hotel! No complaints at all. The thing i love the most is how some of the things in this hotel are old and you get a sense of going back in time!
- 5/5
The rooms were big and clean, the staff was accommodating, and the laundry machines were easy to use and accessible.
- 5/5
Great location, kind staff, nice room!
- 1/5
Stay was unable to happen due to weather. No refund or credit was issued.
- 4/5
The best part was "no reception stop" check in option and having your digital key in your phone. The only thing we were not happy about was extremely loud AC, was waking me up every time it turned on
- 5/5
Always the BEST!!! I say it’s Chicago’s best kept secret!!!
- 5/5
Ronnie made our stay great, and always the staff is helpful.
- 5/5
Everything was fantastic and they really got me out of a bind when I gad my wallet stolen.
- 5/5
Excellent. Clean, courteous staff, and great location.
- 5/5
Very nice people and nice residents. Very clean
- 5/5
The hotel and rooms were spacious and clean. Centrally located to all things we needed and the staff was very friendly. Will stay again.
- 4/5
Staff were great and attentive. Bed was super comfortable. I appreciate the amenities. Room was clean. However I strongly suggest dusting wooden surfaces in the room. Apart from this, I truly enjoyed my stay.
- 3/5
Ok
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
Staff was great. Room was very cold all night heat was on yet coming out cold. Pull out bed was broken.
- 5/5
I liked the location and the hotel was comfortable and clean.
- 5/5
The location was amazing! Right in the heart of downtown Chicago in perfect view of all of the buildings and river of course. The room, although small, was efficient and clean. The only criticism I would have is that the ac didn’t work at all and the temperature was warm for the entirety of the night .
- 5/5
Great location. Great price. Staff was exceptional. Room was good sized and clean.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean rooms. Great location in Downtown Chicago. Enojyed my stay!
- 2/5
Very good location. Hotel is very weak tho.
- 5/5
The staff, including the front desk and housekeeping, were very helpful and positive.
- 5/5
The place is amazing, stayed in a room with a river view and it was just amazing the views from the window looking over the river in the morning and the night was just amazing would definitely stay here again!!!
- 5/5
The staff who helped us check was very helpful. We a nice view from our hotel
- 5/5
Everything and nice and greeting staff
- 4/5
Cool stay! But parkin is toooo far
- 5/5
Great location, great view, the room is spacious and they even have nespresso capsules in the room, I totally recommend this hotel and highly recommend the river view rooms.
- 5/5
Front desk is amazing, rooms are clean and great location
- 5/5
The room was clean minus a couple pieces of hair on the bathroom door. The view was of an adjacent apartment building so not ideal, but we were only in the room to get ready and sleep. We could hear the elevator which was close to our room, but we slept well anyway. Nespresso machine in the room was so pleasant in the morning. The hotel was a short walk to House of Blues where we saw a concert. Try the Foundation Room's black truffle "frites." They were to die for. The location cannot be better in my opinion. There are lots of cool sights and restaurants, close parking that you can valet or self-park, etc.
- 3/5
Room was in good condition and staff was courteous.
- 5/5
yes
- 5/5
Super clean and nice
- 5/5
Great stay! Clean room, staff was attentive hotel close to everything!! Will be back!
- 4/5
Great hotel! Easy check-in and check-out process. Clean room. I really appreciated the free coffee in the room. The staff was wonderful. When we had an issue with the temperature of our room that was out of their control they moved us to a new room and even compensated us for the inconvenience. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.
- 4/5
One more chair in the room will be more convenient.
- 5/5
Loved location
- 5/5
Staying at the River Hotel was so great! I stayed for two nights with a friend for my birthday. Everything was great and for a good price! The room and the amenities are great, and the location is awesome! I highly recommend it!
- 3/5
Drapes were torn. TV didnt work. Had to have maintenance come up and play with it and finally got it working
- 5/5
Very kind staff went above and beyond.
- 5/5
Great location. Comfortable rooms. Very friendly staff. Will stay there every time I'm in Chicago.
- 5/5
Cute room, great view, fun atmosphere, and kind workers
- 5/5
Everything was perfect, the room, the staff my one favorite was the coffee machine on the 2nd floor with a seating area!
- 5/5
Staff is helpful and nice, hotel location is great and the room are clean and quiet.
- 3/5
The room was very dated and felt very closed in. The carpet was in need of cleaning.
- 4/5
Tony was exceptional
- 4/5
Historical, beautiful views, comfortable beds, staff was friendly and helpful. I will stay again..
- 4/5
Very friendly and helpful staff
- 4/5
Staff was amazing. Just wish they could figure out a way to offer bar service
- 5/5
Customer service
- 5/5
Staff is amazing at the front desk!! Room was great and location is perfect!
- 1/5
No internet in room, TV turned on but couldn't connect to anything either.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing. Every person that we encountered really went above and beyond to help us. Room was great. The view was wonderful. We would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Spectacular views and 8 of 10 staff were awesome!
- 3/5
Front desk guy was not welcoming at all when checking us in. Toiletries were not available in the bathroom upon arrival. Windows were dirty and everything seemed outdated or old. Walls were thin, and there are 3 rooms in the corner angled at each other
- 4/5
Great location. But the room was really hit and the temp control was centralized.
- 4/5
It was convenient and clean. Did not get any housekeeping which was fine but the water station was broke on my floor so I had to go to a different floor.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel. Had a nice stay
- 4/5
Good hotel near the river.
- 3/5
Room furniture is early 90’s at best . Room had intermittent noises that may have been mechanical. Great staff and service. Great location.
- 5/5
Staff, room, hotel was very good, elevators super slow, bathrooms probably need a bit of upgrading but the view for the cost was worth the stay.
- 3/5
Nice hotel, but dated...
- 2/5
The bed was definitely not a queen. My husband and are thin ppl and we barely fit. My husband’s feet hung off the end and he is 6”1’. Also our room was by the mechanical room and the noise kept waking us up.
- 5/5
Great location with River view!
- 4/5
Good location, basic amenities
- 4/5
No issue
- 5/5
Good stay
- 5/5
Friendly
- 5/5
The check in was a fantastic experience, the staff were professional, courteous and kind. It is a rare thing to have professionals behave in the way the staff at this hotel behave. The hotel is good, the people are remarkable and the best part of any stay. In every interaction there was kind and honest information. The staff at this hotel deserve the highest recognition.
- 5/5
Yes
- 4/5
Great area at a good price.
- 4/5
The free water and refill station was great
- 3/5
Hotel location was great. The elevator stopped working after first day there and we had to wait 15+ min to go up to our room. Very inconvenient and they seemed to do nothing about it.
- 3/5
The room was very small. It had no microwave or fridge. I stayed 3 nights and not once did they come do room service. Wouldn’t stay here again.
- 5/5
Amazing spacious suite with two bedrooms, two bathrooms (one shower one bathtub) and a kitchenette. Perfect place for a family of four to use as a base for marathon weekend. Perfect location to explore Chicago
- 5/5
Will repeat and recommend this hotel!
- 1/5
Staff was nice. Even accommodating of my husband’s and I 1 month anniversary however parking for 75.00 and terrible service. The manager assured that she would correct the issue, however it has not been resolved and emails have been ignored. There was hair in the sink and paper on the floor upon entry. I’m looking for the outcome of the 2 hour wait for my car to come out of Valet.
- 5/5
Nice location, everything is convenient.
- 5/5
Great location (except it’s right across from and looks straight at f’ing Trump tower), nice spacious rooms, excellent helpful staff, easy automated check-in/out.
- 5/5
The property is located in a brilliant area surrounded by so many great places to go all within walking distance with stunning views of downtown Chicago through the rooms. The staff were also so incredibly polite and helpful throughout our whole stay there if I’m ever back in Chicago don’t think I’d even consider anywhere else to stay
- 4/5
Had all the essentials. Great location.
- 3/5
Good
- 5/5
Everything was accessible. No car needed when everything is right around you.
- 2/5
The hotel was in a great location, which was definitely a plus. However, it was not worth the cost. The room itself was mediocre at best—nothing particularly special or memorable. It was clear that due to the Chicago Marathon, the hotel saw an opportunity to overtly price-gouge, significantly inflating rates for an otherwise average experience. Disappointing value overall.
- 2/5
Elevators not working. Free water was warm. No in room refrigerator. Only 2 ice machines for 40 floors.
- 5/5
Friendly place to enjoy
- 5/5
Clean, comfortable room. Great view of the river. Great location. Staff was amazing. Great trip!
- 5/5
The staff was great checking us in. The location is great, except for glaring light from the Trump tower right across the street all night.
- 3/5
I was grossly overcharged for my stay by 2 1/2 times the published rate by Expidia
- 4/5
Convenient to get around the town
- 5/5
Hotel is in great location for everything, room was spacious, comfortable bed with a great view of the river. Housekeeping was very good as well. We will be staying at the hotel again surely.
- 4/5
It was good, a bit old but clean.
- 5/5
Absolutely loved everything about this place! Staff , room, view and how close it was to everything!
- 5/5
The location of the property is amazing ,very near to bus stops ,train and more .. the view of the room is not bad at all , but wish it was a full panelled window or like atleast balcony to sit while looking at the ruverview .
- 5/5
Super friendly staff. Clean room. Quick and easy check in.
- 5/5
Tony and the staff were very helpful and polite. Great hotel right on the river!
- 5/5
A little far from the best shopping areas but still not bad
- 5/5
The room was big enough for 1 person and had everything I needed. The second-floor coffee and relaxing area was fantastic.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Our room was clean. The staff was very friendly would highly recommend.
- 5/5
Amazing location, nice lobby, good coffee, no crowd, friendly service. Fairly comfortable rooms, well equipped at quite reasonable price for the area.
- 5/5
Had to always wait a while for the elevator...room was fine, but small.
- 4/5
This is a fantastic location that could use an update. Couch had holes in it, but staff and room size made the difference.
- 5/5
We wanted to see the Art Institute and do the River Walk and the Hotel was perfectly located for both. Also the Queen Suite we stayed in was perfect for 3 family members mixed gender allowing 2 bedrooms with own bath, the kitchenette and small sitting room between. It had only one window in one of the bedrooms but we weren't there for the view out a window we were out exploring.
- 4/5
Great location, love the automated check-in process when it works, Riverview is great. Microwave had not been cleaned,
- 5/5
Very nice hotel with spacious room sized; equipped with everything we needed. Very convenient to the Riverwalk and other nearby attractions.
- 5/5
Great property!
- 5/5
The room was perfect, I loved that the beds were in different areas. The check in experience was so easy and quick and the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The coffee bar on the second floor was delightful!
- 4/5
The staff was overall really nice and helpful, though one thing bothered me. I travel a lot for work and I always buy myself food for the plane. When I'm not headed to the airport right away, I have always had hotels offer to hold my food in their fridge when I have asked. This was the only hotel where the staff was not willing to do that and so I had to go out and buy a cooler and ice to keep my food from spoiling. I probably wouldn't have written about the other room issues had they been willing to help me on that final checkout day. Overall, a decent hotel for the price and the space and the nice amenities (water stations, coffee, workout center, business center, etc).
- 4/5
Staff was extremely friendly. Especially Ronnie. Room space was sufficient.. great location in the loop area
- 4/5
Okay
- 5/5
Staff friendly and helpful..and accommodations just right..great location!
- 5/5
Very helpful staff. The hotel is in a great location. It’s very clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
Staff was great and although there was no restaurant on site, there was a great one right next door.
- 5/5
Excellent friendly, staff, very clean, comfy beds!
- 5/5
Great stay!!! The room was nice and clean. The staff was vey nice and welcoming. I would definitely recommend and will come back when visiting Chicago.
- 4/5
staff was extremely nice and super helpful. felt safe in area at night and early mornings
- 5/5
Excellent location close to
- 5/5
Good location. Need elevator repair man available. Always had issues while I was staying
- 5/5
We were welcomed with a warm smile and all of our questions were answered quickly and kindly. Perfect location.
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and very accommodating
- 5/5
Always very clean as usual I’ve stayed here several times always when I visit Chicago it’s right in the heart of everything and the Big Stainless Steel Bean is three blocks away the Beach about five, I Highly Recommend this Hotel it’s the best ❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍💯💯💯
- 5/5
Friendly front office personnel. Clean and fresh rooms. In the heart of downtowm Chicago. Perfect position to do shopping and site seeing. Rail and bus transport on your doorstep. Great hotel and can recommemd to anyone.
- 5/5
Great vustomer service from Jacques and team as always.
- 4/5
Very friendly staff
- 4/5
The location is really good ✨ they could have better extra blankets. That’s it, cause even the price was good 😊
- 5/5
Perfect for a quick weekend trip!
- 5/5
Had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The check-in lady—whose name I unfortunately don’t remember—was amazing. She stood out with her glittery eyeshadow and short blonde-pink hair and made us feel welcome right away. Katie from the kitchen was equally fantastic—so attentive, kind, and sweet. Overall, a truly great stay!
- 5/5
The view was nice. Room was clean, most importantly bed was comfortable.Stayed in room 605.
- 2/5
The rooms need to be better cleaned. The first one I was assigned had not had the sheets cleaned. The second one (which I stayed in) had a horrible smelling fridge and drawers and little hairs on the linens
- 5/5
Very clean and friendly people working there! They were very helpful
- 5/5
Loved the area having so much in walking distance
- 4/5
Front desk went out of their way to be courteous and helpful. The hotel has a lounge on the second floor waiting to check in, clean and organized presentation. Noisy from the street (Wacker) beyond the control of the hotel. Located by so much within walking distance.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and great location!
- 3/5
Overall the property was in a great location. The top comforter had red staining on it, and was quite concerning. I had to request a separate blanket. Extremely small room, but got the job done.
- 4/5
We gave them an excellent review, only AFTER we complained about the first room we got, which had one very small window that overlooked the river! I think that was on the 11th floor. Our room on the 33rd or 34th (cannot remember) had three or four HUGE windows, and our view was amazing! The staff was quite nice about everything.
- 5/5
…
- 4/5
Congested area, $75 bucks to valet car or pay for parking that’s 2-3 blocks away! Small beds with comfy pillows
- 5/5
Pet friendly and easy valet parking.
- 5/5
Location , location location
- 4/5
A little bit outdated
- 5/5
Great hotel but no place to grab a quick bite in the building
- 1/5
Had a bad experience with the hotel. I booked River Hotel but they put me on Club Quarters instead. The room is old and tiny. They didn’t clean our room from 9/10-9/12. No towel refills until I called them when we arrived late in the evening. The toilet flushes too slow and when we asked for help the personnel didn’t even told us what was wrong but just stormed off our room and another personnel was outside and he was saying that nothing was wrong with the toilet flush which makes me a liar. Overall, disgusting place to spend your money and time. Do not book this hotel.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 3/5
The reception desk staff were friendly and helpful. The property is aged but well-maintained. Location was the biggest advantage of the hotel.

Room was clean, with good amenities (kudos for the microwave, fridge, and Nespresso machine!)...and represents good value for the price given the prime location. I would stay again.

Location Location Location! This was my first time to Chicago and I will totally be returning! The hotels location is ideal for the River Walk and Parks- Plenty of shops and restaurants and bars all right there! The hotel is older which I loved the style and decor- The rooms are small but plenty of room and the staff was absolutely fantastic! Highly recommend staying here!

My frustration was I got a free upgrade to a penthouse which did not have a sofa bed which I had paid for/asked for. My kid had to sleep in the bed and my husband on the floor. The penthouse was spacious/ and city view was beautiful however to get to my room I had to go about approximately 45 flight of stairs/ steps carrying our luggage. (It felt creepy being in the last room ) No kidding. Staff said they were fully booked and no refund or exchange could be made due to penthouse apparently cost more than what I paid extra for sofa bed originally. Every time I went out somewhere I hated thinking how many steps we needed to go through every time. I would stay here again while I’d be more assertive on not wanting the penthouse next time. My husband back hurt from sleeping on floor.

Staff at hotel is very welcoming and helpful. Our river view room is fantastic! And very comfortable & clean. Best location in downtown as river walk is steps away, very convenient to restaurants, shops at Mag miles, boat tours and with many public transportation near by. Will definitely be back next time visit to this Windy City.

We arrived at the hotel early and we needed to drop off our luggage. Ronnie helped check in our bags. He was so friendly and helpful! He has a wonderful personality! The building is very beautiful. We stayed on the 10th floor. Our room was quite small but it was clean and comfortable. I was a bit disappointed to see that the window that is in the room was covered with privacy film. It was disappointing not to be able to see outside, regardless of the view, especially since the room was so small. It felt a little claustrophobic. I didn't see the lack of view anywhere when booking or I may have booked elsewhere. But overall, our stay was friendly, quiet, and comfortable. The area around the hotel is beautiful and it is right on the river.

I booked 3 rooms. The checkin process was really clunky. It seems as if the hotel staff just want you to use a kiosk to do everything, instead of just helping you checkin. It took like 15 minutes with lots of hassle to use the "easy kiosk". I think you would be fine if you weren't a group. Also house keeping knocked before checkout time.

Excellent location

The property itself is clean and well maintained, though some of the décor and facilities are a bit outdated, which is why I’ve given it four stars instead of five. That being said, the service more than makes up for it, and the overall atmosphere is inviting and relaxed. If you’re looking for excellent hospitality and a team that really values its guests, this is a great place to stay.

It was the perfect location the staff was nice.

One of the elevators wasn’t working which meant long delays. One of the lights and the TV remote didn’t work in the room. Overall decent for a one night stay but would consider somewhere else for a longer stay.

Staff not friendly and very crowded elevator, small and old elevator. We'll won't never come back
