The hotel itself was whatever, but my experience with the front desk was disappointing. The front desk employee with black hair was unprofessional, repeatedly calling me “bro” on the phone, being rude, and offering little help. At checkout, the hotel claimed we had placed bags on the fire alarm and showed us photos that were not even from our room in an attempt to withhold our deposit. Fortunately, I had taken photos of the room beforehand and after that showed we had not touched anything, and after reviewing the evidence, they returned our deposit begrudgingly. This situation left a very negative impression despite the otherwise a somewhat pleasant stay.

Hotel is located in a safe area and the staff is extremely helpful. Very close to good local restaurants and the local Walmart.

There were people running up and down the halls until 4am. I had to call the police because the guy.Up stairs was beating his wife.i said something when I checked out and they dismissed me as tho it never happened. Even tho there was a duffel bag full of clothes in the jacuzzi that was shut down during my visit. It's really the only reason I picked the hotel. I made sure to be in before dark just to be safe. Do not stay here if you want to get any sleep.

I checked in on Friday, May 8, 2026, after booking through Expedia, and immediately wanted to leave. The property felt unsafe and poorly maintained from the moment I arrived. Multiple advertised amenities were broken or unusable, and the overall condition of the hotel was nothing like the photos online. I contacted Expedia right away. They even spoke directly with the hotel, but I was still unable to get a refund. I left almost immediately after checking in. On Mother’s Day, I returned with my son just to drop off the key. The owner was present and extremely rude and dismissive. When I complained about the condition of the property, he snapped at me: “YOU NEED TO READ ALL THE DETAILS ONLINE.” The hotel advertises: a “comfortable stay” hospitality and convenience continental breakfast vending machines laundry facilities a pool and jacuzzi area with lounge chairs prominently shown in photos The reality was completely different. The vending machine was old, damaged, and broken. Both the washer and dryer were out of order. The pool and jacuzzi have reportedly been shut down since 2022 due to health concerns and dirty water, yet they are still heavily featured in the property photos and amenities listings as if available. When I asked about the broken facilities, the owner casually responded that “machines break.” This goes far beyond normal maintenance issues. The advertising is misleadin

It's not the safest area, and the parking lot seemed a bit unsafe. Additionally, the staff didn't appear to care or smile once behind the thick glass. Lastly, there are no coffee spots within 5 miles of this place, and the in-room coffee is terrible.

it's obvious the rooms were remodeled some time ago, but the furniture looks like it's been abused. the beds were comfortable yet had noisy metal frames. The A/C worked well. the lady at the front desk was wonderful and went out of her way to help.

The upgrades are new but its lipstick on a pig.... unsavory people currently staying, landscaping not kept and nothing like the pictures. Office personnel was rude. While I was waiting for my uber the guy behind me was showing the desk clerk the bed bugs infesting the bath towels in his room - I itched the rest of the day. Do not recommend.

Rooms are outdated, for the price it’s okay. They squeezed three beds in one room which through me off. Very hard to get towels, we stayed three days and couldn’t get house keeping not once. Parking was packed but we made do.

The rooms are neglected so much. I stayed here twice. The first time the coffin drawer didn't open the second time almost every drawer was broken falling of the rail. The staff are terrible uptight and rude. Their pool was closed by the health department there was a sign ☢️ on the door. I left early because of how terrible it is and they charged me for my full stay and kept my deposit. Never will I stay here or recommend this place.

The room had a connected door to other room ; about 11 pm a couple got to the room next door , lot a noise and talking all night loud , having their business loud , I raised my voice to keep it down about 2 am , no luck so we did not sleep , and our check in on first hotel Expedia did not reserved our room , this is the first time it happen , and I will look other company to reserve other hotel next time.

We picked because it is close to where we needed to be. The inn needs a lot of attention. The rooms seemed clean but outdated. The laminate flooring was wavy like ready to come off, the lights need to be updated- they are all daylight - white lights no lamps, housekeeping needs to be requested, the parking lot not maintained, lots of debris— these are main concerns..

The bed aheer was not changed. It had something brown that we are hoping was chocolate smeares across one side. We lwdt the next day. Asked to cancle reservation. They charged me for 2 nights then said thwy would refund 1 night but they redunded it and charged me again for it. Almost $400. For the worst experience ever.

On the hotel profile on hotels.com it shows a pool and a hot tub. Upon arriving, we find out both of them have been shut down by the department of health. Room had multiple cockroaches that we had to kill. It was disgusting, but it was comicon weekend and no other rooms were available or we would have switched.

There weren’t any housekeeping services during our stay. In order to get more towels we had to go and ask for some. The floor looked old and needed fixing. The curtains of the shower didn’t fully cover the bathtub: it was difficult to prevent water from falling out of the shower. I liked that the area was quiet and there was enough parking. I didn’t have any trouble staying here only the condition of the property. The staff was very nice!

The room in appearance looked great. Just like the photos online. But the floors were not properly installed and they bubbled. So as you walked each plant rose with each step. There were places where the joints also didn't connect. The room was clean, but it was odd how each mattress was still in its bag. Bed bug prevention i assume? Then there was the lights. The room had 5 recessed lights. Only one worked. 4 needed replacement bulbs. We reserved a room for 6 people, we only had enough towels for 2, thankfully we brought some of our own. It was almost impossible to sleep. The first night there was a child screaming at 4am and pounding on doors. Other people throughout the night were opening and slamming doors. Stomping around, it was complete chaos. The 2nd night, well it was 4th of July, so there were fireworks set off nearby. A lot of them. Then, again, stomping up and down the path above the room. I did enjoy being able to have my whole family in one room, but we won't be staying here again.

Place smelled like mold. Visible water damage. Floor was wavy and unsticking from floor. Shower pressure was very high and could not be contained within the curtain mainly because of available shower head position. Bed was fine but I felt like sleeping there was a hazard for anyone with respiratory issues.

I won’t ever go back. Elevator is broke off & on, I was on 3rd floor. Vending machine broke. Nobody changed bedding or Towels. I had to track down house the 2 keepers for fresh towels. Dirty floor needing to be swept 0lus furniture is so outdated with stained food particles. Office staff leaves notes when ever they want to go off to do errands. Room key had to get recharged nightly on the 4 days I stayed there. Oops was said I only had you card authorization for a 1 day stay. I only stayed there because the other places were full.

The people in the access to some fine shopping nearby with a thrift store and a couple of 7-Eleven type stores I think the washer needs to be cleaned and it might be said without offending anyone

This is a great place to rest for one or two nights with great rates and plenty shopping near by.

Slipped and fell out of the tub due to oily surface to make it shine. No soap in the room, hair on the sheets and police activity during the night and early morning. Nobody has ever fixed the parking lot, all rocks and dirt.

The bed was clean, the bathroom was clean, the sheets and linens were clean so overall the stay was fine. Even though my stay was there for almost 10 days, I had to get the room key recoded nearly every day, so that was a little annoying. Also, I don’t like that they don’t clean the room every day… No one even ever asked if I wanted the room serviced. I constantly had to ask for new towels and for the trash to be emptied and little things like that, including never once was the coffee and cups replaced for the in-room coffee maker. It just seems like they’re trying to save money by not having enough staff to do all the things that need to be done so we as guests are kind of left our own devices to sort out some basic things. Was I unhappy enough to complain? No, and that’s why this review is honest… And clear. The rate for the room was low for San Diego, but high for Chula Vista… Especially given the aforementioned “issues“. I would really only recommend this hotel if you have little or no other choice… Or maybe you’re feeling kind of desperate. I think they can do better, to be honest. 7 out of 10 stars… ⭐️. There are several things to watch specifically running a hotel or motel operation. Most importantly make sure rooms are clean, floors are clean, ac are clean and operational and adjusted to room temperature, bed sheets and blankets are warm enough, room service always a excellent choice, make sure after cleaning the room good air fresher always welcome other than unexpected and unwelcome smell not good impression for future revisit, make sure as a an advice regularly inventory and inspection of each room will avoid unwelcome experiences.

My teenage daughter and I got a late start heading to Tijuana. We ended up reaching the boarder around 1am and checked in to get some sleep before crossing in the morning. Staff was so kind. Rooms are spacious, but not fancy. They do have a microwave and a mini fridge which was great as we had left overs. We'd stay again before or after crossing.
