The location was convenient for beach access and that parking was included. There is food and coffee near by but give yourself time to cross as the crosswalk takes longer than any ive ever experienced. I would not recommend for a solo traveler. This is not a high or even medium quality property. I was uncomfortable with the windows in line with the bed and curtains gapped open making it worse. It's on a really loud street and there is little to no sound proofing. The occupant of the adjoining room made it even more uncomfortable as they kept doing things in close proximity to the adjoining door- loud noises, screams,and thumps. There were multiple occasions I observed pills (medication) on the ground around the property. The "bed" pillows are couch pillows and there is not a back up blanket so it was pretty chilly to sleep. Dirty and rusty vents and closet doors were disappointing. Basic TV only and wasn't able to get streaming up, and I am unsure if internet or wifi was available because I wasn't informed of either. Both front desk people seemed annoyed or just unengaged which left the hospitality really disappointing. Though they did make sure to let me know they'd charge me if I didn't return my "towel cards". Overall it was a pretty disappointing stay. I left the property at 8 am due to my discomfort.

The room they gave us was at the end right in front of the stairs we had no view but a brick wall pool was gross had a film on top of the water my room had so much humidity that everything was wet my clothes the blankets everything was wet was not happy at all but the location was good but I’m not sure if I’ll stay there again

Our AC broke the second day we were there but the staff was very helpful and moved us quickly to a new room that had all the amenities we had previously. No downgrade. Pool was relaxing. Cleanliness could have been better. We did find dust and a few bugs (dead flys and a baby cockroach) but nothing CRAZY that we needed to leave for. Good location and not a bad walking distance from all the “touristy” activities.

The hotel was a good price but could use some TLC. Rooms were clean and pool area was nice. It's in a great location for walking to restaurants and beach. If you are looking for a budget friendly hotel....this would be one.

I liked that it was close to the beach and the tourist area. The front desk girl, Alejandra, was very kind and answered all my questions. The room was fine for the price, but the pillows smelled like sweat.

Hotel location was excellent! Walkable to everything. It was an older hotel but I knew that when I booked it. Just staying 2 nights, it was fine. Parking was perfect. Staff was nice, especially a young man (wish I would have gotten his name), who asked us as we were leaving for the day if we needed anything. I do wish it was a bit cleaner. Did have 2 palmetto bugs, but I know they are common, yet still a bit unnerving. Plenty of towels, which sometimes hotels don’t provide. For our brief stay it worked.

The parking situation is very poor. NOT A FRIENDLY, JUST RUDE.

The room is adequate but needs updating , it has microwave , refrigerator and a small coffee pot . The room was clean. They do need to go to Home Depot however and invest in some weather stripping to put along the doors ours and others had gaps on the sides and you could see outdoors . It is not across from the beach it’s about a quarter mile down the road to the nearest Beach access if walking if not it’s 3.50 hr to park at the public parking if you can get a spot . The Beach is over run with blue Cabanas and Beach chairs all down the whole Beach . The noise is crazy so if you are looking for a quiet place to vacation this is not it . I will never be back . As far as this hotel you get what you pay for !!

Parking was easy. Location is perfect to walk to multiple restaurants/bars and the beach. The pool was an added bonus and the view from the pool is the marina and it was very nice. You will hear music and noise at night.

I saw mixed reviews and chose to give it a try. I will say the best part is the pool! The love bugs were crazy at times but the marina is beautiful. Can’t beat that for a pool view. The property was pretty clean overall. My last night I did see 2 very large roaches, that’s unavoidable, in Michigan we have house spiders and centipedes… location was a big plus. You will receive 2 pool towel keys, if you don’t return them it costs you $50… overall for the cost and location I would return

Online states that bed is a king size. But the size of a full bed, 60 inches wide. That was in room 305.

I enjoyed my stay it was very clean and the staff was very nice .. everything was a short distance away the beach was 3min walk restaurants, shopping stores and activities I loved it and I will be back to stay again

The bed was very nice as well as the air-conditioning worked great! Definitely an older hotel however, the pool was great that is shared with a couple properties and the views and a lot of things around that are cool so my number one thing I liked about this place was the location, as well as the price and the staff👍

It was a nice hotel to stay at for the price. It’s a block walk from the beach. The staff are friendly and we had a good stay.

Very disappointed, had bugs coming through gaps in the door & windows. False advertised queen bed, only got a double which wasn’t the comfiest!! On a positive the bathroom was adequate with toiletries provided. Good coffee machine with coffee etc provided

Had a business event here in Tampa and was unable to book at the event location. Last-minute reservations here at Clearwater Beach Hotel. If you’re looking for a decent place to sleep that’s next to the beach. This is it. Nothing fancy definitely a place if I was on a budget, I would come back. Everything is in walking distance and the staff has been incredible. Just an older location that definitely needs upgrades. Long story short you get what you paid for and you still feel safe.

The wi-fi would not work in my room, even after the staff restarted the router. Otherwise, everything was fine.

Decent for the price and good location. 5 min walk to the beach. Smaller pool that is shared between 3 properties but it was fine. Nice view of the marina. Within walking distance to many restaurants and things to do would definitely recommend.

Would definitely stay here again! Rooms are small but clean , very friendly staff that will help with all your needs . Best part of this hotel is the location, you don’t need to drive anywhere . Beach is a half mile walk and there is tons of restaurants and bars to choose from , all walking distance. Plus some stores. Good price for the location.

It was a chill vibe

The location was great, however, the power went out on the second night and we decided to stay with friends. The staff, well 1 woman, was very rude and disrespectful to anyone that walked into the office. Instead of being apologetic and understanding, she purposely took her time in anyway possible. The room wasn’t bad just small and for the price, a motel 6 would’ve been comparable. It was unfortunate and I wouldn’t recommend to stay there, but everyone has a different experience. If you do stay, I hope your experience is better than ours

The hotel is conveniently located to the beach and attractions. The place itself is a little dated but the rooms were clean and the parking was great for the area.

Loud in the room with racing traffic overnight. Guests yelling, talking and playing loud music. Advertized as a hotel when in fact it is a motel. I will never stay there again. The stay was horrible!

It was very loud road, rotting in bathroom, door barley shut, curtains barely closed and 2/3 outlets didn't work.

This hotel is exactly what it seems to be: a no-frills budget option among luxury properties in the same area. My room was small and basic but clean and freshly painted. For a solo traveller over two nights, it was just enough. I wouldn’t recommend for families or long stays. The pool and dock area were lovely. The location is ideal, although traffic noise from the nearby strip was significant. I don’t gather you can get away from that on Clearwater Beach weekends. Staff was very hospitable and friendly.

This is a very basic motel. The room is small. The location is amazing.You are not right on the beach.But you can walk less than five minutes to get to the clearwater beach. There's no graffiti at all.Clean and I had no noise

Location was a short walk to the beach. Room was sufficient if you plan to be out and about all day.

No issues with the room more so the staff and parking they towed my car three days after me being there even though my car make and model was taken at check in and the tow guy specifically told me he had to get approval from them to tow it and asked them to check to make sure we weren’t guest and staff refused to do so but another car that has been sitting there for four days they told him not to take and verified they were guest when I went back and told staff about this within a hour they had the tow guy towing everyone because they know they were wrong. I had to pay almost $300 because they refused to verify if I was a guest on top of that manager was called and was very rude screaming over the phone was very unprofessional her name was Mary. According to other staff Anna and Sumira were staff and manager on staff who refused to verify me as a resident but did others. Room was fine but thumbs down to all the rude unprofessional staff

Extremely basic hotel room. No blow dryer, no iron, no decent blanket. It has motel vibes. The location is great and walkable, the rate is cheap so you basically get what you're paying for. I stayed one night and moved somewhere else for a bit nice of a stay. The pier behind the pool is a nice view! No beach access right near hotel - private beaches across the way. Have a short walk to public beach access. Can get everything you need on foot.

Pictures of this property were not at all accurate. This property was old, dirty and outdated. The bed was very soft and uncomfortable, the pillows lumpy. There was rust on the closet sliding door and some sort of black unknown fabric on the closet floor. The shower had black hair on the curtain, which was not mine. Also, the wi-fi did not work well at all.

Parking was tight. Worst Hotel I ever stayed in. Nothing about it was good. No water view that was promised. People outside of our room partying all night. People smoking cigarettes next door to us. We wanted no smoking. Room was old bathroom had rust all over metal tracks. Shower faucet leaked. I need my money reimbursed.

There is calcium and rust deposit on the showerheads, the blankets are thin and not really comfortable. The towels are scratchy and and rough. There decor is what you expect, bland and makes it feel like I'm paying for "something else". There is dirt and grim on the outlets. Noisy outside with cleaning staff.

Hotel is not as shown online when viewing. Old rooms, broken ice machines, no amenities except pool, beds are old and worn out and squeak every time you move. Traffic noise is ridiculous!

Wifi wasn't the best, room & sheets were cleaned daily which is a must on a beach location.😉 staff allowed a late check out since we are regular customers. I would recommend microwaves in individual rooms & the elevator could be updated.

i have stayed here several times over the years even when they had the two level across the street i have stayed there also, it has always been a nice enjoyable experience the only thing that disappointed me a bit was the water pressure in the sink and shower, and the plugs would not hold my tablet, and phone chargers the plugs were loose and would not hold plugs, even without moving the plugs they would let loose and things stopped charging but everything else was great it is one of the older places to stay and close to the beach, restaurants, bars, and gift shopping.

The walls are super thin, you can hear everything outside, when we first got there maintenance walked in on us, someone tried to get into the room later in the night but thankfully I had all the extra locks in place, and I was able to play white noise loud enough from my phone to drown out some of the noise. Overall: If you like a cheaper rate and decent proximity, this is a decent stay. If you require quiet rest, peaceful surroundings, and amenities- this is not the place for you.

Traveling alone, definitely a safe place, so clean and staff were SUPER nice

Hotel is not too bad. Had issues with my lights that they fixed but went out again. They gave us new towels everyday and clean sheets. Staff is really nice. Pool was nice with a great view. Shower pressure pretty low but temperature of water no problem. Just a normal beach hotel for a decent price.

Sebastian was very helpful and informative. All the staff was great! Beautiful sunset views from my room. Room was very clean and comfortable. Laundry machines came in handy. Beach is couple blocks walking distance. Restaurants and Pier 60 are walking distance from hotel.

Room was very wet, floor , beds outlets did not work. Had a good room to begin with but no remote so they moved us to this room which was absolutely terrible

parking charge for 15 is ok. rooms are fairly clean. good value for peak season stay. location is great. pool is good benefit.

The location was great and staff were very friendly. The pool was very relaxing. The internet didn't work well. It was very noises outside our first floor room from hotel workers, loud people, and cars on the street. The room could use and update. With all that being said, the price was right for staying across the street from the beach, and I would stay at the hotel again in the future.

We let the staff at the front desk know that the water didn’t get hot in our shower. No one attempted to check it. They asked us if we had turned it the right direction. I asked if I turned it left she said yes I told them it just keeps spinning. They had nothing else to say for me. My daughter had requested an extra blanket was promised one and never received one and when we first got into the hotel room, it smelled like mildew. The only good thing about this experience was the view away from the hotel looking out was beautiful. However, the staff did not seem to care and the place was ran down. I normally never leave a bad review, but this one definitely took the cake and especially them charging me almost $300 during spring break for that room that shouldn’t even even been 50 bucks

I would highly recommend avoiding this property. Cleanliness was very subpar! Walking bare feet in your room left feet filthy within mins. There were zero amenities in the room and the WiFi was out nearly 100% of time on our 5 night stay. Desk advised there were no hangars on the property and only maintenance could reset WiFi. Occupancy looked like 50% so demand could not have been the issue.

It’s a great location. Lots to do in the area. We enjoyed the pool, with sun most of the day.

Rooms and hotel updated but we had a pleasant stay. Across from the beach with plenty of access and options. Pool was clean and comfortable for a dip. The staff was especially pleasant and easy to work with. They were happy to accommodate. Right in the center of it all. As long as you don’t mind the dated appearance and rooms, you’ll enjoy your stay.

Ladies in the front desk were not professional nor did they have any customer service or hospitality skills. They did know the “fine print” and “policies”. A gentleman we called “Donald” was great and super friendly he was a joy at the front desk!

Easy walk to the beach, parking a big bonus.

Room was incredibly run down (loose lamp fixtures, sagging mattress, gaps around the door, loose shower curtain, and more. Room did seem clean (fortunately it was a tile floor as I can only imagine how rundown a carpet would have been if the room was carpeted. We were on the 5th floor and the road noise was still incredibly loud (we were on the "street" side).

It was OK nothing too extravagant or that you can say wow this is a great hotel but it was OK

Staff was unwelcoming. The condition of the property was not clean. Bathroom shower was in need of upgrading. Hotel elevator not clean and very slow. Only the location was positive for Clearwater Beach…otherwise one of the worst places I have ever stayed. Not a value for the price paid!

We stayed here and attended the Strawberry Festival in Plant City about an hour away. The room was nice, location great, and the Italian restaurant nearby was fantastic. Our only complaint was the noisy motorcycles racing up and down the street outside until 1 am. Not the hotel’s fault, but the rooms could be a little more soundproof.

Great location! Walking distance to the beach and local restaurants. The staff was friendly, but the rooms are outdated. The shower head was corroded with lime. The room had no heat, AC only. It served it's purpose as I was only there for a few days for a financial conference across the street.

The staff was friendly. AC worked great. And the bed/bedding was great. But the hotel was not worth what i paid. The water pressure was poor. Finding a working outlet was near impossible. One of the lights beside the bed didnt work. The dresser drawers wouldnt stay shut. As well as the shower curtain. The bathroom sink faucet sprayed water everywhere. Unless they lower their prices to about $100 a night i wouldnt recommend staying here.

Room was clean, bed was comfy. Overall good value compared to all the other pricey hotels in the area, but nothing fancy. Location was not great for sleeping- right at the busy corner so lots of road noise even late at night. It’s good for walking distance to stores, restaurants and the beach access- just need earplugs (and an eye mask because the curtains didn’t close all the way).

Front desk people were very nice but the quality of the service was very poor. Room was not cleaned every day, shower water would spill onto the bathroom floor, no room service, room key would not work. Needs a ton of updating for the cost to stay

The staff was congenial and helpful. The price was a less, but access to the beach was a quarter mile walk.

Great location. Very nice front desk clerk. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Only complaint was that the heater/Ac unit sounded like a truck starting every time it kicked in.

Minutes after I checked in today on February 20, I found an adult bed bug. I saw it crawling on the mattress when I pulled back the sheet near the wall. I do feel bad for this business for reporting it but people need to know and the hotel needs to spend the money to fumigate.

Very stark no amenities but it was clean and located centraly

The bed was terrible!! I stayed here a few years back with no issues, but this time I couldn’t sleep because the mattress was too firm and every time I moved it made soooo much noise. I spoke to others on that floor and they said that there beds were not so loud. There was no one in the room right next to us, but when I went down at 4 AM because I couldn’t sleep, the guy wouldn’t move us and wanted me to wait until dayshift came in. We only had one night left so we just dealt with it.

Close to the beach. We didn't go to the swimming pool, I believe it's not heated.The cars on the street are bit noisy at night and the cleaners came around 9am...too early for someone who is on vacation.

The room was filthy! The bathroom light switched were disgusting! So bad that we checked out the next morning. The staff was very unhelpful! I didn’t expect a lot from an older beach hotel but they could at least clean the place.

The room is outdated, mattress was soft, bathroom door wouldn’t shut and they never cleaned our room for 2 nights. Very expensive place for not being updated or being appreciated for staying there.

I stayed here for the last three nights, and I travel a lot (10–12 trips a year). This is honestly the first hotel review I’ve ever written, but I feel obligated to warn other people because the high rating and photos are seriously misleading. Cleanliness was unacceptable. In the bathroom there were still soap rings/residue that clearly looked like it was from a previous guest. The shower curtain had small holes near the top (looked like moth holes), and the desk had old coffee stains on it—again, it did not feel like the room had been properly cleaned before I checked in. The bed was awful—it genuinely felt like sleeping on a brick. Housekeeping/service was a struggle. After having to ask the first time, I asked again the second day and was told that when I checked in, I “initialed” agreeing to no housekeeping until something like 3 days / 3 nights. If that’s their policy, fine—but it should be clearly disclosed upfront. Most people are tired during check-in and are just initialing where they’re told so they can get to their room. That should not be how a major change in service is communicated, especially at this price point. I paid about $750 for the stay, and it wasn’t even close to worth it. Clearwater Beach itself is beautiful—I loved the restaurants, shops, and people—but I would absolutely stay somewhere else next time. There are too many better options nearby.

Staff was great, rooms were clean and cleaned, pool was nice, parking was excellent. A few things could have been better, the shower curtain wouldn’t stay closed that was frustrating. The bedside outlets were unusable which was inconvenient, and the toilet flush properly. It was over Christmas stay so I didn’t complain as I didn’t want to go through the hassle of switching rooms.

Altogether not terrible, but it’s cheap for a reason. Will likely stay somewhere else next time I’m in town.

On our third night the people next door stayed up all night talking outside their room we didn’t get much sleep.We are in our seventies and we decided to leave a day early. We thought we would not be charged for our fourth night but we were.Very disappointed in Expedia and Cleerwater hotel.

Room not clean; television did not work called front desk gal said “oh well!” Charge for parking when hotel empty; coffee maker worked on and off; would guess place being sold soon!! Front desk gal snarly to say best!!

The room was basic, but we didn’t need anything fancy. It was clean and the staff was very nice and accommodating. The location was great and we could walk to everything. We would stay here again when just needing basic accommodations.

Cleanliness and the view

Make sure you get a room facing the water and not the street. We stayed two nights here. The first night the hotel gave us a room facing the road. The noise was horrible all night long. We asked to switch to other side of the hotel. The front desk was really nice and was able to do so. Totally different experience. Nice and quiet. Also, the street side of the hotel seems to be lacking some updates and maintenance. Overall, this is an older budget hotel in a very good location. It worked for us after we switched rooms.

This hotel could use a renovation, the rooms are old with old beds and pillows. The bathroom had stained walls and a chipped vanity. It is loud due to cars outside and thin walls. Parking is available and convenient. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The staff of this location are very nice, quick, & communicated the information well. Check in was so easy & fast. A very good experience, especially for a last minute booking!

My door room #200 had gaps like bent edges and was very noisy on that side I recommend the back if building by pool area for a little more quiet room. Room was clean but shower rod crooked making shower water get all over floor as curtain didn’t close all the way. This hotel sits in a busy corner of the road and very loud glad I had ear plugs! Staff was nice

24 hour front desk. Friendly staff. Great location, 6 minute walk to the beach. Quiet. Ice cream shop and fun tiny car rentals across the street. Rooms are average. Old mattresses. Surrounded by nicer hotels, but this was perfect for the price and I’d stay here again.

The only thing everytime i stay here this might be my 4 or 5th time staying their coffee maker is always not functioning. Somehow no coffee brews but the water has disappeared.

This hotel isn't fancy but it has a great location walking distances of everything.

Good considering the new acquisition . Doors were not very secured as the locks needed a lot of adjustment. We made the best of it as we were not advised of the new management position until it was too late. The staff were very friendly considering the internet downtime.

Property clean and within walking distance of many area shops and beach. Our stay was quiet and felt safe while we stayed for 5 days. Key cards a little touchy, but overall a great experience.

Bathroom ceiling light was falling off. Moldy everything that's been painted over. Needed maintenance to come fix the toilet basin balloon twice bc it wouldn't fill the task back up. Lots of work needs to be done in this property. Lots. Loooottssss. Location was fantastic though! .. That's about all you can hope for

My favorite hotel

Located at a very busy intersection where loud music is played at neighboring bars late into the night and motorcycle noise and police sirens were blasting until morning. Not ideal for sleeping

Girl at the front desk was very rude. Someone should really take a minute to clean the dirt off off the light switches … disgusting. Place needs to be cleaned!!!

Street and pedestrian traffic noise is terrible and unbearable. Couldn’t sleep even on 4th floor. Water dribbled out of bathroom sink. Hotel is old and should be razed. Will never consider it again. Should be removed from Expedia hotels.
