    Not only was the room clean and comfortable, but the on site dining and bar area was phenomenal. I ate in the dining area the first night and it was so good, I ended up eating at the hotel my entire stay. I never went to any other restaurants. Every night, the meal and service, were absolutely great!

    In terms of comfort, cleanliness, quiet, quality, & spaciousness, the hotel excelled. We couldn't have asked for better facilities. The service was disappointing, beneath what I would expect of a Hilton Garden Inn. First of all, one of our keys did not work. Then the TV wouldn't turn on, was defective. They got fixed after we left. The clincher of disappointment was when we checked in, the desk clerk told us the room was only made up every other day, not daily (which I think is beneath Hilton standards, but I didn't say anything). HOWEVER, the clerk said that if we wanted the room to be made up with fresh towels, all we had to do was let them know by 09:30 the following day. OK by me. Later that day, I got a text from "Brenda" at Hilton, asking how we liked the room, etc. I texted back saying it was fine, and that we'd like our room to be made up the following day with fresh towels. No reply. The following day when we returned to the room, it wasn't made up and no fresh towels. I was surprised when I got a text from "Brenda" later that evening asking how we enjoyed our stay so far. I texted back that we were disappointed the room wasn't made up as requested. She texted back within 5 min saying that wasn't their policy, that it was done only every other day. And if we wanted fresh towels, to come down to the front desk for them. Nope, I'm not going to do that -- not at a Hilton. I expect better service and keeping promises. It's funny that the Holiday Inn Express a couple miles away makes up the room EVERY day (we've stayed there) and for a cheaper price. I think Hilton's room policy reflects laziness and cutting corners to save a buck, and not up to their standards.

    My room was clean and very well appointed. The temperature was set to a nice setting when I first checked in so I only made slight changes. The check in and check out staff were friendly and helpful/informative. I was surprised that breakfast had a charge but it's been a long time since I stayed in a hotel so it's probably the norm now.

    A lovely stay in this renovated Hilton. Room was large. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast(not included) was delicious with two reasonably priced options with many choices. Our server was wonderful. Area has choices for dinner.

    The hotel was very nice! The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Our only complaint was the breakfast. We paid extra for the sit down meal. Our poor waitress was the only one serving. We were seated quickly and was able to get our own drinks, fruit, toast. We ordered a waffle and omelet with bacon and roasted potatoes. Finally, after 25-30 minutes our food was served cold. I really didn’t mind the wait because of the lack of servers but the food was very disappointing.

    I was quite shocked to learn there is no complementary breakfast, and they don’t even give you a bottle of water (unless you pay $2). I usually stay at less expensive hotels & water, cookies & breakfast are always provided & free! I will not stay here again, there are too many other places to choose in this area.

    From the time you entered the property it was clean and it smelled clean and new in some places. The staff were impeccable. They were very helpful and always courteous. Jeron and his crew had customer service that most don’t give. They also catered the party for my uncles 75th. The food was great. The set up was beautiful. I told my aunt and uncle that this was a great selection for the out of town family to come. We often sat in the restaurant area/lobby and congregated and enjoyed each others company and no one ever told us we had to leave or were too loud. I appreciated the great customer service. The rooms were clean. The only setback which wasn’t really was that only one elevator was working and there was another family gathering at that hotel. I would give this location 5 stars all around. It was also not too far from downtown or the airport or other places like the pharmacy or grocery store. Great Job Hilton Garden Inn Northeast, Columbia South Carolina.

    Immaculate, cozy but smoke room space, efficient room accomodations, variety of pillow softness/firmness (don't need to bring your pillow), suoer comfortable mattress, shower/bath area spotless and adjustable shower sprayer, granite sink, newly renovated, coffee galore plus snack/dining options, smoke parking, fitness center/laundry more than adequate and conveniently located to downtown Columbia/restaurants/banking/gas nearby, just a relatively brief ride away and no annoying parking issues compared to staying downtown. Fully updated but no pool and staff/guests beyond polite and accommodating. Pet friendly but no smell or dirtiness from them and two nice outdoor patios to enjoy outside chill time. Will most likely stay again when I return but disappointed there were no visible recycling receptacles around.

    We drove from Florida and on the road for 11 hrs. My wife was so looking forward to having a glass of wine at the restaurant and bar there. We stayed there last year and that is the reason for the return, we loved the bar there. Upon arrival the girl at a make shift desk informed me that the bar and restaurant was closed and under construction , which I could clearly see being that a black curtain covered the area. This should have been posted on your website. If we would have known about this we would have chosen a different location. I doubt if we will return there next year .

    This property is under a major renovation and this was not listed on the website when I booked our stay. There is dust everywhere, you must enter through the make shift outdoor patio with your luggage to the folding table check in desk. When I made a comment about the hotel being under construction. I was told they could refund my money at no charge if I wanted to cancel...mind you we were there for my son's wedding and had just drove 3 hours to get there and needed to be at the rehearsal dinner 45 mins after our check in. When we returned to the hotel after dinner, the elevators were down and we had to take the stair to the 4th floor along with my 70 yr old mother-in-law. I understand thing happen, but if I would have known ahead of time, I would have not even booked at this hotel.

    The staff is nice, but the rooms are dated. Also, I had to go to Walmart and buy cleaning supplies because my room was not clean. There was hair on the bathroom floor and all over the shower. The shower curtain was filthy. There was a musty smell in the room. The shower head had mildew buildup all over it.

    All of the staff we encountered were so friendly and professional. I believe the manager’s name was Dan, and he is absolutely amazing. The young lady serving during breakfast time was awesome as well. We’d definitely come back just for the good service. There was a little bit of a musty/mildew smell in a couple of our rooms, and they’re completely getting rid of the pool. Other than those things, the hotel is pretty nice.

    The air conditioner in the room was Sooo loud. I turned it off on the wall unit but it would keep running. I've stayed her a few times and a/c was never Sooo loud and disruptive to my sleep. I didn't realize how loud until I got into bed late.

    Hello! The front desk clerk was very friendly and attentive to us as guests. Hotel was clean inside and out. However, i booked this room TWICE because i thought there was an indoor pool because its being advertised as if theres a pool!!! THERE IS NO INDOOR POOL!!! THERE IS A SIGN ON THE DOOR where the pool is saying permanently closed. Maybe online that needs to be removed bc that's lying to ppl when they're booking their room. False advertisement! My next stay is 6/15-6/16 and I will be honest, I do not want too. I wish I could get my money back for both stays. DO BETTER!!! Also, the dining room and bar was closed due to staffing. I was very disappointed. Never again and I would NEVER recommend anyone to stay here.

    The night manager and staff responded promptly to issues in our room we discovered after checking in and having dinner out. Unfortunately, the cleaning crew assigned to our room left the king size bed partially unsaid (fitted sheet not secured on all corners). The pullout was left with spills unaddressed and left no clean linens to make up the pull out. Also the bath room towel supply was not fully complete for 4 expected guests. The night manager was quick to address the issues and make things right.

    Unfortunately this stay didnt adhere to our expectations of hilton. The staff was not helpful at all. We had 4 people in our room and only towels for 2, when i called front desk attendants was rude and said sorry i cant help you we dont have housekeeping in, and they wouldnt be available for hours. We only stayed at this specific location for indoor pool which wasnt clean, freezing and the spa was ooo. Floors had stains as did the bedding.

    This stay was awesome and the only thing I would change is your tv viewing options. Integrating smart tv options such as Prime Tv, Netflix, Hulu etc. would make being at the room even more awesome.

    I always get complimentary breakfast, but not here. Also, you have to request for housekeeping service by 8 a.m. everyday of your stay. If not, your room will go uncleaned!!! The furniture is beat up looking too.

    This was my first stay with this Hilton property and I was beyond impressed. The front desk attendants and the housekeeping staff were very professional and courteous. The facility was well kept and immaculate. Definitely my choice of stay when visiting Columbia, SC again.

    The check in gentlemen was so welcoming and friendly. I knew we would have a good stay after i checked in. I didn't get his name but he was one of the friendliest.

    The room was very quiet and clean with no harsh chemical smells like at other hotels. The bed was comfortable and there was a variety of channels to watch on tv.

    My air didn’t work in room 415… I paid entirely too much for that room for it not to work… Is there some type of compensation… I felt like germs were lingering.. The pool and Bar was not available
