Super 8 by Wyndham Conway

We got there and room was very hot. After an hour called desk and told them air wasn't working. Guy came to room after about 15 min and tried to say it was. Said to let him know in 30 min if it got cooler. It did not. He said the could switch us to another room (no king though) . We said ok. Waited another 30 min then called desk back and asked when they were getting us the other key. A lady answered and said oh, you will have to come get the key. We had to pack everything up and get dressed because we had already had showers. They wouldn't let us have the other key til we got completely out of other room. Like we were going to steal a cheap junkie room. Terrible experience and the air was barely any better in other room. Plus why wouldn't they go in and turn the air on for us knowing we were switching to that room. It toom 2 hours to even cool it off. And pics attached. Looking for plug in and one pic was behind the bed and other was brown stuff running down bathroom wall. And when we walked in the guy at front desk smelled lik a Marijuana factory despite the no smoking signs and him telling us smoking was a $250 fine.

The pool is still not working even since the last time we stayed there back in January. The door locks wasn't even working, making us have to walk all the way around the building. There were chip crumbs on the bed when we went to sleep in it.

Excellent stay highly recommend

The hotel was clean and mostly well maintained and a good value for the price. The hotel is supposed to be non-smoking but the smell of marijuana was evident in the lobby and hallways.

Standard room that was clean and as comfortable as any hotel. Cleanliness and value were very good. The remote didn't work to change channels and the paint in the room is a little sloppy. My key wouldn't open the side door to the building.

Parking easy. Staff were friendly. Clean room. Sink in room damaged. Layed back atmosphere and we were meeting family there so that worked well. We felt we could take a walk and arrange things in our room to have time to get together again. The price was exceptional good!

They are renovating the "extras" such as breakfast and swimming area so be aware if those are factors in your decision to stay there.

The shower wouldn’t turn on as there was no water. The sink worked. And there were a lot of ants on the side table with no food on it. And my husband informed the front desk when we checked out, all they did was say sorry.

I don't like the small pancakes and that's pretty much all there is to eat I think they could more effort and time into there breakfast included ..I don't like how the maids don't clean the headboard it's gross when you can see greasy handprints on the headboard knowing what that's from in all and that you have to sleep in that filth

Not a bad place to stay can use some updating, but you get what you pay for and for a one night stay it’s not bad. Bed was comfortable. Pool was out of service and drained.

Very clean, safe neighborhood, comfortable bed, friendly staff. Perfectly fine for our one night stay. Note that the pool was under renovation (4/2/26), and the breakfast limited to cereal, pancakes & juice.

It was located in an area that we’re more familiar with and the staff was nice. The room unit worked really great! It was slightly outdated it could a small update but nothing too major.

I was looking forward for the inside pool and the ice machine wasn't working and the vending machine was not what I was expected it looked like the few item in there been there for awhile. other then that it was great

Very clean! Big rooms. GREAT HOSPITALITY!!! Great Pricing! (while they are worth so much more for the entire place but due to the 2 Men at the front desk hospitality alone, it makes the rooms price that much better!!) Very safe place, cameras placed at every angle and the Men constantly watching the parking area. I also saw animals are welcomed in certain areas. Thank you for the stay! I will be back!! Nothing, it was perfect!

Property has been neglected for a couple years.

Breakfast wasn’t the best but that’s ok. It was very acceptable for just passing through and a night to sleep. Staff was very kind and so helpful.

We found a live roach in the room , after killing it we contacted the desk to come observe it !! They offered to move us to another room but we declined! We thought that wouldn’t help because the other rooms are probably infested too!!! MY LAST TIME AT A SUPER ROACH 8 ‼️😡

We checked in on Thursday to a smelly room. I used my Freebrise to help with smell. The the shower was not working. The man upfront let us know that it be fixed on Friday. The only thing they had out for breakfast was cereal. On Friday day night was told that shower was working, but it was not. Finally on Saturday afternoon got moved into ne room. I will not go to this one again or recommend it.

Clean room and friendly staff!

When we were checking out I was asked , how was stay. I told the man that they need to improve on their breakfast. It was dry cereal with milk and pancake machine. There was some empty bowls also. He told me that Super 8 didn't require them to provide a breakfast. This conversation quickly went downhill. He started yelling at me and refused to give a receipt of my stay. He then yelled for me to get out and never come back. This was the rudest person I have ever encountered at a motel. This is the last Super 8 I will ever stay at.

The shower didn't work. We checked in late and had to be on the road pretty early the next day, so it was pointless to wait for repair or switch rooms.

The hotel changed ownership sometime between October 2024 and May 2025. I have noticed the place is beginning to have significant maintenance issues and the breakfast pancake machine has been altered from delivering two 6-8 inch pancakes to delivering two very small ones - approximately 2 inches each. At first I thought this was a malfunction but when I mentioned it to the front desk, he shrugged and said "just make more." I could be wrong but, the breakfast thing plus the maintenance issues make me think the new owners are trying to cut too many corners to lower their operating costs. To be fair, this IS a very inexpensive property compared to others nearby. Also to be fair, the room and property WERE clean with no signs of bugs or unpleasant odors.

There was no breakfast...There was 1 banana...THATS ALL...People were nice. But there was roaches in the bathroom, holes in the sheets abd comforters...Cheap But I feel like it could have been better...AGAIN GREAT STAFF THOUGH

Super 8 or Wyndham in general is not a hotel that I would normally book and this past stay reminded me why. I booked 5 rooms for us at this hotel on a whim. The majority of us checked in after 1:00 am and just wanted to lay our heads down. My husband and I had to switch rooms 3 times. The first room had a door that didn't lock. We literally just turned the knob and opened the door. No key was needed. Even the front desk clerk attempted to fix it to no avail. He moved us across the hall and the door knob was broken. After some jingling, the door did open but we would have been faced with that issue the whole trip. Thought we were good with the third room until we seen the bathroom ceiling peeling off. We reluctantly stayed because it was close to 2:00 am and every room we went into was hot. The AC is not turned on until you check in. At least our sheets were clean since that wasn't the case with my nieces room. We seen a roach crawling on the door the following day along with quite a few other issues we encountered. This hotel could be so much more with some upgrades and better management. The location is good with a Walmart across the street and eateries close by. Parking was plentiful and we felt safe. The breakfast was poor. A pancake machine that makes tiny pancakes, fruit loops and raisin bran with juice and coffee. Better off eating somewhere else. The front desk worker did his best with what he had to work with. Just stay somewhere else for the peace of mind.

This is a place to come for hourly use. They let people sleep in their cars in the parking lot. The hotel needs to be maintained better. Holes all in the walls. Pool is not open. Breakfast is a joke. Needs updated. Towels stained. Room was not clean. DO NOT STAY HERE.

It was excellent place to stay

When making this reservation I was expecting more. It was not terrible, but I merely had higher expectations. The breakfast was a pancake machine, with cereal and bananas available. The pool was out of commission; wish I had this information available prior to booking. The coffee pot was very dirty, as if it was not cleaned for several visits. There was some sort of debris shaved into the peep hole so you couldn’t even see anyone at the door. The bed covers had cigarette burns in them; even though it was a Smoke Free facility, and the toilet rocked when sitting and standing. All these things should not have been an issue during our stay. Although this hotel does appear to be the oldest, most outdated property in the area. But it is an amazing location.

The room was clean. The hotel was understaffed. The free "breakfast" was awful. They charged us a $50 deposit which has not yet been returned yet The windows were filthy. The room was so outdated I thought I was in the 70's. The road noise kept us up at night.

No A/C in the common area upstairs Pool was empty Waffle maker was broken Room was dirty and visible blood stain on turned down sheet. A/C in room was weak and room had odor. Abandoned car with flat tires in parking lot. Someone leaning against building smoking for extended period of time. Were they staff or a homeless person? Who can say. Had to book a room somewhere else and write this off as a loss. The fact that there were somewhat positive reviews on Expedia made this my last booking through this website. !!! We changed clothes and checked out. The staff was not surprised. Avoid at all costs......

The door to our wing didn't even lock. The description online for their breakfast wasn't accurate. Hotels.com just says free breakfast. The hotel website says free coffee and breakfast item. That is misesding and for a family that counts on that breakfast was a let down. Other than that, staff was friendly, helpful and the place is always clean.

No breakfast offered and was advertised, a lot of shady looking people hanging in the parking lot! Marijuana filled the hallways! I definitely thought because it was a Wyndham hotel is would have been kept better, I didn’t see it was a super 8 property.

The desk clerk claimed his computer was down, could not check anyone in at 3pm, would have to wait until his service came back up. Poor excuse, we needed to check in at that time in order to get ready to go to a college football game. We ended up going to Holiday Inn Express, where they were more than happy to accommodate us and many other folks. Looks like to me the desk clerk at Super 8 was double booking so he could make some extra cash. Will NOT EVER book with anything associated with Wyndahm again!

We were pleasantly surprised by the comfort level and cleanliness of the hotel. Check in clerk was helpful and friendly. However, breakfast was very disappointing. There was a fruity kids cereal and raisin bran, but no milk. A few instant oatmeal packets. There was only one fork. The pancake machine quit working in the middle. We had to track down someone to help with that. He tried to replace the nearly empty pancake batter with another nearly empty pancake batter. It didn't work. So we had to wait for a full replacement which he was not pleased to have to provide though there was over an hour left in the breakfast time.

The desk clerk, I think his name was Devin or Derrick was amazing. Very polite, worked hard to solve oyr problems and very knowledgeable

The staff was rude and I was there for 4 days and my room was next cleaned until Sunday and the tub was clogged and my dad had to cleaned it.

Smell - Cigarette smell all over the hotel. Now the hotel doesn't allow smoking but they did very little to remove the residue of nicotine in around the interior. Dirty carpet and sheets in the room. The carpet was un-swept the first night but they did sweep it the next day. Spots and smudges on the sheets and pillow cases. Do they not have bleach? The above applies to the towels also. Some towels looked clean and others had smudges and brown spots that looked permanent. They did not make bed or give me clean towels the next day. Not sure this is standard but I didn't see but one maid. The shower in my room didn't work or I don't really see shower controls. The cigarette smell also seem to come from the ac in the room so I sprayed with Lysol and Febreze and it didn't help much. I believe it needed a new filter. Over all it was alright. I would never stay three nights again. This is a one night hotel. Some positives: Its right next to Wal-Mart and a very tasty Mexican restaurant. Not far from anything really. The desk clerk was nice .

The room was really nice. The room has and adjoining door. The people next door were loud and smokers sat right outside the room and smoked. The beds are very comfortable. Breakfast was good.

Motel was fine but we picked because it said they had breakfast and we wanted that option....no breakfast just dry cereal...coffee and juice ....please state that!! We would have went to another motel if we would have known that! Change it to dry cereal! No muffins no waffles no yogurt no anything!!

The breakfast was two kinds of dry cereal and a pancake maker. No eggs, meat, yogurt, or fruit. There was coffee. The juice maker worked after the first day. Worst Super 8 breakfast anywhere!! The kids that worked the front desk were nice. The hotel was within walking distance of other hotels, Walmart and several restaurants.

I wont be staying there again. Dirty room and limited TV channels.

The bed was worn out and sheet had a stain. The breakfast was pathetic. Pancake machine broken, almost no food or selection. I complained to manager and he said Motel doesn’t require a certain level of breakfast! Also pool was empty and remote on TV didn’t work. All in all don’t stay.

I received a text early, like 8AM, asking when u would be checking out. I replied 11AM(standard checkout). I left to have breakfast, when I returned, the front desk clerk followed me to my room. He said they had entered my room thinking I had checked out/left. Yet, they left my computer on the bed and all my toiletries in the bathroom. UNACCEPTABLE

A fair place to stay

The room has a microwave and nice mini fridge plus a good TV with a great channel lineup. Stay there if you can, I know I will.

It was okay. The young man at the desk was very nice.They were able to give us a ground floor room(no elevator). In the bathroom, there were no towel racks just 2 hooks on back of the door. There was a floor lamp with no where to plug it in. Breakfast was only self-made pancakes which I can't eat.

Willingness to help with my older service dog. I appreciate a kind staff more than anything.

Get what you pay for

Room was to be wheelchair accessible the shower rod was broken and it was moved down where the hole was for it,the ceiling in the bathroom had rust and was discolored there was a shower chair but it didn’t fit into the tub. Room needed to be updated,stains on the night stand. There was only 1 bruised banana, cereal 2%milk and a pancake machine. Of course they had a different kind of coffee but for some that doesn’t drink coffee nothing but milk. Next day the banana was gone but nothing else. After that I went and pick up things at the Walmart that was in front of the hotel to have breakfast.

Very friendly service. Beds are very hard dont like a hsrd mattress.

Inexpensive hotel with fairly nice rooms but very minimal breakfast

The phrases “You get what you pay for” and “Lipstick on a pig” come to mind. The room was clean enough, front desk staff were nice and it seems to be a safe area. However the room and furnishings are very old and in disrepair. Paint was peeling from walls and bathroom ceiling. The bed was hard as a rock, pillows had very little filling, and sheets were uncomfortable. One chair had stains and the other had peeling vinyl. Probably won’t stay there again.

I booked a room with a fridge and microwave but the microwave was missing and the fridge did not work. It was cheap though and the bed seemed comfy.

It's was a good stay

The “breakfast” was some bananas, packet oatmeal, a choice of fruit loops or Raisin Bran, or some mini pancakes from a small conveyor contraption that almost reminds you of a child’s easy bake oven, that are kinda like the frozen kind at the supermarket. For them to mention “breakfast” as a perk is greatly misleading if you’re a frequent traveler you know - The room was clean and is advertised as smoke free but they do allow pets so keep that in mind if you have allergies. The pillows were a joke, put on the bed as an illusion but were like sleeping on your rolled up sweatshirt. No opinion on the staff our only interaction was during check in, the person was friendly enough.

The only thing that didn’t sit well with our stay was that someone was smoking pot in their room and it was wafting into our room, making my husband and myself sick. We told the front desk and once the smell dissipated, we never smelled it again!! Great job front desk! Other than that, our stay was excellent!!

Purchased a deluxe suite. The jacuzzi was disgusting. It had not been cleaned and had hair and bathing products in the tub. I cleaned it myself then ran the jets for 10 minutes and cleaned the jacuzzi again. The bedspread was also filthy. 2/10 rating for cleanliness.

I ordered a king room with a jet tub...I got a dbl queen for the same price no jets in the tub...and the pool was out of order ... definitely not what I agreed to pay

We go here all the time. Pet friendly and love the inside pool. Close to everything you need.

Bugs in bed

The center staircase to go to level two was neat, as well as the automatic pancake maker. But I wish they had yogurt in their breakfast options.

Pool was closed for maintenance but there was no notice before booking

I received an email saying I had been assigned a ground-floor room, but when I arrived, there was none. The facility had no elevator, so I had to haul all my bags up a stairway. The faucet knob in the shower kept falling off. The complimentary breakfast amounted to coffee and a choice of two sugary cereals. Probably my last time staying at a Super 8.

Nice jacuzzi room

We had been driving 12 hours, and we couldnt go further, needed a place for our family to rest. Found online great price. We arrived and the gentleman at the front desk was very kind. The room was good and clean. Bed was a little hard and pillows really worn out but over all great stay especially late at night!

Barry that checked me in was phenomenal and super nice however the hotel conditions aren’t superb. Room is dirty upon initial check in but basically the whole hotel looks that way. A little nervous to go back as we just checked in and left for our event.

The front desk clerk is the only reason why I gave the hotel 2 stars. His Customer Service skills were top notch. But, the hotel itself was horrible!! The room wreaked of cigarette smoke, so I told the front desk and he sprayed the room down. Then, I couldn’t get the tv on. Had to call the front desk again… the censor had fallen back behind the tv, so he fixed that. Went to swim in the indoor pool and it was freezing cold and looked like they haven’t resurfaced it in 30 years. Got ready for bed and noticed not only a burn hole in the sheet, but also holes in both blankets. Couldn’t sleep because the walls were thin and kept hearing doors slams & people talking all night. The next morning I got ready to take a shower and couldn’t get the water to come out of the shower head… had to call the front desk again and he fixed it. Not to mention there was someone else’s hair on the side of the shower wall and the sheet rock and paint was coming off of the walls in the bathroom. The place is a dump!

I saw the rating and it was good, so I booked. There were signs that said, renovating, so I had to give the benefit of the doubt. Everyone was really nice, the pool and pool area was very nice. I was just dissappointed in the rooms. It wasn't that great, Paint coming off the walls, no table, a body mirror, my t.v looked rigged up.

Enjoyed our stay, it was a good price. The bed was fairly comfortable. The pancakes for breakfast were good and the staff was friendly. The only downside was the pool was closed early due to a storm (it had quit but they didn’t reopen it as it was less than an hour for it to close anyway) My kid was super disappointed by that. The room was clean but lacked extra seating. We had a king bed, and a large empty area where a char or loveseat could have fit. It also had an odd (not bad) smell that went away (or we got used to it) coming from the air conditioner. But I would stay again.

For a wedding in the bathroom by the pool

My room was nice and clean. The bathroom floor was sticky and dirty around the toilet. The toilet seat should have been replaced. Staff was nice.

It was disgusting not up to my level of clean they had cigarette burnt holes in the cover no ma’am I would not ever book there again and then they want 50 up front at the desk for what I don’t know but I wouldn’t even have booked it if every other hotel wasn’t booked because that was just horrible

Hotel isn’t bad but almost has an apartment building feel to it. Got reservation thru hotels.com but yet hotel charged me again for the room claiming it was a deposit? I know most will put a hold on your card for incidentals but this charge came straight out of my account, currently trying to get an answer to this.

The property is in a very convenient location to the interstate, restuarants, shopping and activities. Easy walking distance to severL loctions and short drive to all activities, and universities.

The property wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst. Nice attendant, room was clean. The bathroom shower faucet wasn't working properly had to get the night desk attendant to come and fix it enough to use. (Must be common) and then the aroma of Marijuana was in the room all night.

Tammy at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Just she alone is reason to stay at this lodging.
