Great place.

We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The room was clean and the bed was pretty comfortable. I did like that they gave you a choice of different types of pillows. The shower however was a joke. The shower head was so low my husband had to bend down to get under it I am 5'4 and I barley fit under it as well. There was NO shower pressure at all. The a/c unit was extremely loud which was a good thing because it drowned out the noise of people partying in the parking lot. Breakfast was decent and the staff was very good about keeping the area clean and well stocked. The elevator was a bit scary so we tried to avoid it as much as possible by taking the stairs. Not sure when the last time it was maintained but it felt like it was going to drop at any minute. The hotel is VERY old and is in need of an update. Probably won't stay there again due to the shower thing but it was clean with comfortable beds so I do give it a plus for that.

It has gotten to the point that I purposely listen to hear if the sliding door at the main entrance has been lubricated. Yesterday’s stay did not disappoint. It has not. I don’t see how anyone could sit at the check in desk and listen to that irritable squeal through the whole shift. I’m headed back there in October and I will again listen to see if it’s been serviced.

For the price this place was not worth it. Very old hotel. The bathroom needed work, specifically the tub. There was a big stain on the ceiling in the room. In the breakfast common area the seats were falling apart. All in all this place was raggedy. Don't waste your money.

The complimentary breakfast was very good...nice variety and plenty of hot food......the King room was also very nice and clean....no issues.

The lady at the front desk when we checked in seemed highly annoyed that we were bothering her. (The ladies at the desk the next morning were very nice - which is why I'm giving three stars instead of one). When we got to our room, it was not very clean and was in poor repair. (See photos). There was even a pretty big spot of what looked like blood on one wall (about the size of a dime). The couch was disgusting. The room was definitely sketchy looking. For this price point I expect a clean room in decent condition. This was not it. I don't know if the other rooms are as bad as ours was, but I would never stay at this place again. The one good thing: the beds were very clean and comfortable.

I loved this location and hotel. The room was very spacious, the bed was extremely comfortable, the breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly. There is a small outdoor pool and a small workout room. You can walk to the Cook Out right next door. I will definitely be back

Have stayed here multiple times and hope to continue. The usb plugs beside the bed were inoperative. I had to plug into the usb on the back of the television to charge my phone. Also I stayed there in December and the front sliding door made a horrible noise then and when I stayed thus last time is still made the same noise. Kind of annoying while trying to eat breakfast.

The chairs in the dining room need replacing, poor workmanship on all the caulking in bathroom, elevator was sketchy. The employees at the desk, cleaners, and dining staff were awesome! They were top notch but the owner of the property needs to put some investment into the property.

The dining area chairs are a disgrace and material is falling apart. The breakfast was by far the worst one we’ve had at comfort suites and we usually stay at comfort suites when we travel. We will not recommend this location.

The breakfast was good but I was surprised that no grits was on the menu nor home fries potatoes. I don't consume pork products so I was disappointed that there was no turkey or beef breakfast subs. The coffee was really good. A variety of breakfast meats, shredded cheese to add with the eggs or biscuits or toast. I also liked being next door to the Out Burger Restaurant.

Individual checking g us in not very friendly & literally yawning as we were checking in. Not sure why we were put up in a room for handicapped individuals as neither wife nor myself are handicapped.

The room in general was outdated . Left earlier than planned because of no sleep and couldn’t use the bathroom.

Inside building might need an upgrade, elevator was slow and sounded as if it would breakdown any moment. I get that HWY501 has a lot of construction, but they still need to improve the entrance to the hotel. It was hard to see.

The location of the property was perfect. The hallway carpets were dirty. In the first room, the mattress was dirty, the bathroom had mold, and the floor was not swept. The second room was a little bit better but the floors were not swept as well.

This place has the absolute worst cable/tv set up anywhere. It takes a good 20 minutes to figure it out.

The room had not been thoroughly cleaned. There were random hairs throughout the room to include the bed and bathroom. The flooring was not cut properly so it did not fit in the corners correctly. There were sections of caulking missing in the shower and what caulk was there was gooped on.

This hotel was great for the price. Room was very clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Hotel obviously needs updating but very happy with my stay.

Entrance is obscured by Cook Out signs and barrels.

The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast had a good variety and was very tasty. Coffee was impressively good which is not the case in most hotels. I will definitely be back and highly recommend.

The room can be cleaner and the doors are sticking so that they dont close properly and you have to push real hard to open.

The room was flooding from the rain, there was no hot water in shower, the paint was peeling off the walls. In the breakfast area, it was also flooding, the chairs were all peeling vinyl. The entrance door was loudly squeaking every time it opened and shut. The walls are warped and bowing in the main entrance. Very run down.

This hotel has been around for a long time. It's been recently updated and it's be very nice now.

Check-in was quick and easy. This motel was clean and we'll kept. They usually kept a dispenser with ice cold water with lemons in the lobby for all to access. Our rooms were spacious and clean. There are several eateries nearby with in walking distance. This motel is also located within minutes of shopping areas and Myrtle Beach. We enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable stay near Myrtle Beach.

Well if you are over 5'6, forget washing your hair. The shower head was too low, and the shower curtain was hung too high. The beds were comfortable. Our room was on the quiet side of the building. I was afraid about the room after we walked down a hallway that needs repairing. Expensive for what it was.

This property was being updated so they are making improvements. Very small breakfast area rooms were basic beds slept good.

Hotel is worn out i.e. carpet needs replaced throughout, all furniture dinged up etc. As soon as I walked into the room there was a strong sent of lemon scented pinesol. Everything (that I used) in the room worked i.e. the lights, tv, ac unit, shower etc. Everything in the room appeared clean to me. The location was convenient and in what seemed to be a good area of town close to many food and gas businesses.Over all I was satisfied with my stay. I really enjoyed the free breakfast and for the price you really can't beat it.

The property was convenient because we were there for Parent Weekend at Coastal Carolina University. Staff was welcoming and attentive. The pool area was clean and well-maintained. The property is in need of some updates such as carpets and some minor maintenance (shower head was not stable and some other damage in the bathroom), but overall pretty clean.

Getting old, needing a remodel

The air conditioning did not work well, and in SC in the summer especially, it needs to work WELL! We have stayed at this property several times over the past 2 years since our daughter attends school in the area. It seems like the property as a whole is deteriorating (the shower, A/C). Unfortunately, we will not be staying here again.

The first room we were assigned smelled so bad of mildew so they moved us. The second room had a wet carpet so they moved us again. The third room hard floor which was better but the hvac sounded like a Mack truck. This place is run down. Staff was nice and tried to accomodate

The elevator has seen some action, and the workout room went out of service during my stay, but the room was safe and quiet, and I felt very comfortable here.

The room smelled terrible. The carpeting in the hallways was extremely dirty. Overall, the hotel was dirty and smelly. I would not go back here.

this hotel is dingy, carpet in hallways is filthy, it appears somewhat safe. Room was clean, so no issue there. I paid about 210 for one night, would be a deal at 150 a night, at over 200 a night, it’s pricey for a 2 star hotel.

This hotel is a good option. Reasonably priced, clean, has breakfast. It’s close to coastal Carolina university so for parents weekend is a great option, some of the other hotels are more expensive. We were able to get a very early check in at 12 for no extra cost, the girl at the front desk was very nice and helpful. This is my hotel of choice when visiting the college.

This place is a dump in bad area. Outside was not well groomed. Beds uncomfortable, pillows were like rocks. Don't stay here. I wish I could get my money back.

The property was very run down inside things were broken and dirty. The AC unit cover fell off the wall and the coils inside were covered in dust. The room was so damp the sheets actually felt wet. I was disappointed and would not stay here again.

First: it was a family trip. The bed was horrible… super soft felt like I was gonna fall on the floor. The AC did not during the whole stay. Before anyone asks: no more rooms available. It was sold out!!

Do yourself a favor and don’t stay here, even if it’s the best price on your search. We found a bedbug on the bed in the first room they gave us. They changed our room but did nothing for our inconvenience and the disgust we were feeling having to remain there for the night. Additionally, the rooms were old and run down. The hallway carpets were completely stained. The front desk staff were not pleasant or terribly apologetic of the bed bug situation. We will never stay at a comfort one property again.

Good stay primarily just spend the evenings. Most of the day was spent out at the beach hanging out. We had an issue with the bathroom but they quickly came and fixed it. Great location to Myrtle Beach only about 18 minutes away so it was nice to stay away from the crowd would stay here again. Breakfast was the same thing every day biscuit sausage, eggs called cereal, coffee oatmeal waffles.

The shower curtain rod bracket was broken on the one end allowing the curtain to slide back during shower. That’s probably why there was a buildup of black muck on the floor at the corner of the tub. We stayed 3nites and we had to ask for clean towels. The towels never dry hanging them on the little hook on the back of the door.

This Comfort Inn far exceeded my expectations. Not only were the rooms clean and the service good but the Inn served the best hot breakfast you can find anywhere. This was the first night of an 7-day trip that included hotels that one might think would be rated higher, however the room and the breakfast were the best of the trip.

It was convenient since we were attending the baseball tournament at coastal Carolina. Maybe add a better sign near the road so people can see the entrance drive better.

The staff at check-in and checkout were very friendly and professional. The breakfast could use some breakfast meats not just eggs and biscuits.

We stayed here due to proximity to Coastal Carolina University. The room itself wasn’t bad, but the bathroom was in terrible condition. The grout around the tub was old. The pipes under the sink were exposed. The paint on the bathroom door was chipped. There were small annoyances like the orange light on the phone always blinked. When I asked about it at the front desk, he said the phones were being fixed. I threw a washcloth over the phone so the blinking light wouldn’t keep us up. Breakfast was decent. For a future visit, I’d spend a little more money and not stay here.
