Great location! Clean, friendly staff, and good breakfast!

The room smelled musty like the ac couldn't keep up with humidity or heat. Bedding felt damp from humidity. Since doors face outdoor elements it could have been better sealed. We noticed dead or dying bugs by the door that must have crawled in.

Its 3 star and a basic room.

Staff was courteous. I booked for king bed room with sofa bed. The room door never opened despite using the keys. Then the staff provided alternative 2 queen bed room. The sink in this room was noted be blocked then it started leaking. The staff initially mentioned that they happy to refund the money. But as I mentioned that we are not locals, the staff offered another room on the upstairs to use for bathroom.

Cleanliness and closeness beach destination

It was close to my brother’s house and easy to find I wish they would be careful on who they let stay there. There was somebody throwing up from the top of the balcony we smelled marijuana all night, long all morning and trying to explain to my kids what that smell was a very unprepared conversation.

A lot - room was not fully cleaned when we walked in. No towels, shampoo, conditioner or soap. Hospitality claimed tp have cleaned our room while we were out on Friday. They did not. Same lie on Saturday. We took bideo & pics to prove they lied. The main light in our room wars burned out but front desk said they couldn't come fix it because they couldn't leave the desk & there was no one else available.

Breakfast was good. I am physically limited. Being on the second floor, with the steep stairway, and no elevator, really detracted from my stay. It would be good to have this information when booking. I would not have booked at this facility if I had known about this.

Front dash worker was very friendly and helpful. She would fit in at any 5 star hotel . The rooms were Nice, newly renovated, good working AC, tv, clean bathroom Wasn’t really what I expected for a best western. It was OK but not BW. Outdoor room access. Just looked like a motel. Had the bulletproof glass check-on for late night, that’s always a red flag for me.

Decent place to stay for a night. Room was clean and quiet, and bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and courteous. There is a gas station and convenience store nearby and an amazing Mexican bakery! Overall it was a good value for the price. Maybe not a super great location. We felt safe, but when we checked in after 10 pm, the doors were locked and I had to check in through a window and speaker. We had 3 King suite rooms with a pullout sofa. Only 2 rooms actually had the sleeper sofa, and one of those had a huge gash in the fabric. The mattresses on those sofas are 2 inches thick and no bedding is provided. We had to ask and were given one blanket and one flat sheet.

Room was very clean

Clean. Spacious. Parking wasn’t an issue and close to everything!! Front desk in the morning seemed mad they had to work and when asked if they could change our sheets I got a yeah and then when I came back to my room later that afternoon and the sheets were altered not changed. I only know bc there was a pink milkshake spot on the upper left corner of the sheet (our fault but why I wanted them changed) and when I came back the spot was at the end corner of the bed

The floor was so wet and unsafe to move around due to “humidity” that they had to move me to a different room. The light switch in the new room was not working. There a was a brown stain on the bedsheet and to make things WORSE,,, I woke up with a COCKROACH crawling on my arm in the morning. I documented and reported each incident to the staff and asked for the manager to address the horrible experience, it’s been about 1 week, I keep getting excuses that the manager is not available, I still haven’t heard from anyone. Such a shame! I would definitely not recommend this so called “hotel” to anyone, let not someone I care about.

The room had a strong smell from the plug in airfreshener. The bath drain was slow to go down. It felt like it needed a refurb. The place seemed to be occupied by workers so their was lots of noise in the early morning. Also they came in the room but only made 1 bed the other was left

There was a very strong chemical and humidity odor in the room. The power went out and I was not able to get ready this morning for a meeting I had. I did not get to eat breakfast at the hotel, which was supposed to be included… I think because the power went out it caused pests to come out. There was cockroaches in the room, and it was very warm and humid. disappointing experience overall.

It was muggy and the air conditioner didn't work.

The room did not have hot water, but the staff quickly moved me to a different room.

Location was great while visiting family in area. It would also be a great location for beach bound travelers. Room was very clean and A/C worked well (arrived with a cool room, which was nice). Did not use the breakfast included. Large room with comfortable bed. Pool was very clean, despite the construction on frontage road in front of hotel. ... Hotel has two levels with outside entrances. I appreciate that staff looks at your stay (ours was 4 nights) and put us on bottom floor knowing we would be in and out more than an overnight traveler. Very thoughtful. Needs a extra chair to relax in. The sofa bed was not comfortable. Lighting in the room was dark too. Tub is very slippery, but asked for bath mat on day 2 and problem resolved. Ask for it up front if you like showers.

Breakfast was bad watered down oj and powdered eggs. Room had knats and roaches..And night staff was very rude.

The check-in was quick and easy, the front desk lady was very nice and answered all my questions. The room was clean and the AC was blowing cold. The shower had great pressure. The parking was easily accessible and in front of my room. The buffet style breakfast had a variety of items, hot and cold. Great location Wal-Mart, HEB, many shopping malls and restaurants were right down the road. Overall a great stay, will definitely be staying again.

The the room was nice and clean, bed was comfy and the staff was nice. The location is pretty quite also. Breafast was just ok with the usual options available; waffles, muffins, bread, cereal, reconstituted eggs, juice milk and coffee, etc. I wish they had something better than just cut up jumbo hot dogs as meat selection, but it works.The waffles were good. All in all, it was a decent place to stay and fairly priced. We will probably be looking at this hotel 1st when we come again.

Clean and quite.

We asked to get moved to another room and they really didn’t want to do it. They wanted us to wait, mind you, it was midnight. They agreed to move us to another room and the bed was uncomfortable- stiff and lumpy. The pillows were small like couch cushions and were not comfortable to sleep on at all. Something else that bothered me was, random homeless people walking through the parking lot. This did not help the overall situation.

Outside littering was an issue and our 1st rooms door wouldn't seal off from noise and easy to possibly jimmy the lock because of the gap. Staff politely gave us another room wich was a plus outside of the closet door handle kept falling off. Older not so technical guest my not like the upgraded smart tv. Streaming from your phone or laptop was the only option for cable. Overall I guess it was tolerable for the price we paid.

Very small room close to the beach. Bathroom door does not close properly and shower head water comes out very slow. Beds are okay and carpet smells like you never left the beach.

The room was large and spacious, the bad thing was that there was a musty smell that did not disappear during the stay and they should change the curtain of the ban, which was stained and dirty. The breakfast was quite complete, only because it was a holiday there were too many people and many things like eggs and sausages ran out and being able to make waffles was impossible, many people waiting and in line.

Є вибір: пластівці з молоком, вівсянка, йогурти, фрукти, можна зробити бейгл в тостері, вафлі з клиновим сиропом. Є великий вибір чаю, соків і навіть кавова машинка зі смачною кавою. Достатня кількість місць для сніданку. На території готелю також є бассейн з шезлонгами, вода в басейні чиста. Багато пакувальних місць, парковка безкоштовна. Поруч з готелем достатня кількість місць, де можна смачно поїсти в будь-який час, в пішій доступності. Також в 7 хвилинах знаходиться продуктовий супермаркет. Загалом, залишились задоволені нашим перебуванням в цьому готелі і вже порадили це місце друзям.

Overall, my experience was pretty good. The room was a little musky but other than that everything went pretty well. No complaints. I slept well. Took a shower that everything was pretty clean. So it was good. Thank you

The room was clean, shower worked properly. Clean bathroom, towels were clean. A/c worked great, pool also looked cleaned but didn’t have time to go in. Parking is uncovered but it was ok. Breakfast was great!!! They have plenty of food, they keep it stocked during breakfast hours. The texas waffle was soooo amazing! This hotel is close to all major retailers and restaurants. Everything was perfect will definitely book again here.

Room was clean

Check in staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast had hot options each morning and was kept well stocked. Room was very clean, but had a musty smell that didn't go away - we kept the room at the recommended 69 degrees. We know it's a high humidity area, so I hesitate to mention it, but it did detract from our stay. We didn't need to spend a lot of time in our room, so that was helpful.

Constantly harassed by maintenance was scared for my daughter’s safety and mine. Stalked too. Couldn’t even swim without them following us around.

Though we didn’t stay long, our stay was good. The only issue was just the temperature of the room. Even with adjusting the a/c unit our room stay warmer that we liked and humid

We decided to stay here because it was convenient to where we planned on fishing. Our room was really spacious and did the job for our stay. The staff were all really nice as well.

Out TV did not even have local channels. Very few channels were available. Only ad channels. Local channels had to be purchased. The outside area was littered with trash. The breakfast was good and the rooms were clean.

We extended our stay from 2 to three days. It was quite a simple process. They just re-validated our room key.

The hotel has a very good appearance. The manager was very friendly and helpful. One he left the property the big guy was no so polite. No towels for the swimming pool.

Best place in this region. Staff unbelievably nice, place was quiet and safe.. AMAZING BEDS, SHOWERS, AND WIFI. Just all around worth the $.

My granddaughter n I had an awesome n amazing time. My granddaughter loves to go swimming and thats what she did most of our stay. We just wanted to get away n do a family staycation. We live about 40 miles away from Corpus Christi. We really did enjoy our time together. Staff was awesome, courteous, friendly n that made the stay worth it. We will be booking at the Best Western Paradise Inn in the future.

Nice welcome from the receptionist who was there at check out too. Large, comfortable king room with good shower, coffee maker, fridge & microwave. Complimentary breakfast had a really good selection.

Room was clean and comfortable. Front desk was courteous and let us have an early check in. Would rate higher, however it was noisy due to the location near the highway.

there were bugs all over the bathroom. They weren't ants, maybe termites. But it was gross. The night auditor made me sign a blank contract in order to stay there. I asked him to fill in the blank spots like "I agree to pay blank" he didn't speak enough English to understand. Don't stay here. If it hadn't have been so late, I wouldn't have.

The smell of cleaning products was so strong I thought I was going to throw up. The room was so dirty and gross. Towels had dirty handprints. The shower curtain definitely had not been cleaned ever because there was mold on it. Mold also on the lamp shades!! Mold seemed to be everywhere. Hair was also everywhere. Nastiest hotel room ever.

Very Clean

Our first room the AC was not working, an employee quickly came and looked at it and gave us a new room with a working one. New room had a AC that was working great but we did find 2 cockroaches during our stay.

There was an issue with the room door inside handle, but staff quickly moved us to a better room. The stay was adequate but a bit pricey than what we’re accustomed to, although the short notice of reserving a room and the area probably contributed. Breakfast was good as it had tasty bacon and several toppings for waffles including chocolate chips and jam.

I will press charges if I have to. No previous notice that the rooms were being remodeled by loud, cursing contractors into the evening. Late check-in because they were short staffed to get rooms cleaned by 3PM. Counter manager could not understand English well.

Basic clean hotel. Hotel provided shampoo but no conditioner or lotion. Water gets warm but not hot. Best asset is the Mexican bakery next door!

Quick 2 night trip to Port A for SandFest. The hotel staff were great. Room was clean and comfortable. Had coffee maker, fridge and microwave which was helpful. Good experience.

You are forced to have your room cleaned every day unless you are staying in the room waiting die house keeping to tell them no. Cockroach’s under furniture. Spiders in bathroom and bed. Good luck sleeping on 2 half pillows! Ended up sleeping with multiple towels in bed as pillows with the two we had.

You get what you pay for. Decent motel can’t expect more from them

Clean overall. However seems like you gotta make sure you’re first at the breakfast line to get a decent meal. Food was all gone before 9 am.

Was a smoking room but the smell was really bad Tv and telephone did not work.Pool was closed until we asked 9:30 pm,closed at 10 .Was nothing BEST about this BEST/ WORST WESTERN, very disappointing

There is nothing unique about this "hotel." It is one step above Motel 6, and for the price it is not worth it. For about $10 more you can stay at a much nicer hotel with many more amenities. Not sure the morning desk person understands what customer service entails. Very disappointing.

It’s small, so there wasn’t a lot of other guest . We enjoyed the pool and restaurants close by. It is also close to the beach.

The room smelled like deodorizer, probably to cover the smell of mold that was visibly growing on the ceiling and wherever else. Room service was nonexistent. I believe someone came in to give me a fresh towel but that is about it.

Given the price ($100/night for a double room), I was disappointed at the condition: there was a hole in the wall in our room, a stray apple on the floor from the previous guests apparently,and a surprising lack of amenities (pre-packaged pastries rather than fresh, packaged creamers, etc. at breakfast; inadequate soap/shampoo supplies provided.) In addition, the ice machine wasn't working.

Good location. Nasty, dirty. ROACHES everywhere. We bought our own bug spray to simply survive. We will never stay there again. We thought Best Western had a good name. Not so sure anymore.

Coffee pot didn’t work, requested replacement, never got it in 3 days I was there. Paint chipping & pealing on ceiling. Area around the mini fridge needs attention. Just an older hotel that needs more attn. For the $$, not bad.

There where 4 large big roches ice machines did not work dry was broken could not wash any clothes the planter timber that made planters where broken and triped over one ac could shut off by self while trying to cool could not adjust volume on tv the shower would not turn off constantly running

I was very unhappy with our accommodations. The room was literally teaming with mosquitos. We killed at least fifteen, and there were signs of where previous guests had killed them too (smeared bugs on the ceiling - gross). It was impossible to sit on the toilet and close the door. One needed to almost stand n the tub to close the bathroom door. The toilet was loose as well and I wondered is it was going to break. When we awoke in the morning, we also found small roaches and one spider in the room. Needless to say, we will not be going back!

The pool was a little need of maintance. The shower drailed too slow. The fire alarm was not operating
