Just I ask to clean something inside of my room and take the garbage out ...(we stayed for 3 days ) and they said I can used the towel for clean the floor and the garbage they will take out once we leave (I'm so upset for that, we like to have clean our rooms, but with kids it's sometimes difficult)

The complimentary breakfast was good, which was one of the few positive aspects of my experience. Unfortunately, housekeeping was a major issue. My room was not cleaned for the entire week I stayed there. After the third day, I contacted the front desk and was told a request would be entered into the system for my room. The following day, nothing was done. I then spoke with the manager, who blamed a new system update for the housekeeping issues. She personally cleaned my bathroom and left a note stating that housekeeping would return the next day to fully service the room. Once again, no one showed up. To make matters worse, when I first arrived, the room did not appear to be thoroughly cleaned. After a long flight, I was too exhausted to deal with changing rooms, so I went to the store and purchased disinfecting wipes to clean the room myself. I chose this hotel instead of the one I normally stay at, and I regret that decision. The lack of cleanliness, poor communication, and failure to follow through on promises made this a very disappointing experience. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.

My towels and bed pillows had beard hair (at least I’m hoping it was beard hair and not pubic hair) all over them.

Hotel was just as described. Room was spacious, and clean, Comfy beds. Lobby smelled of smoke so I was worried but our room was very nice. The girl at the desk was super friendly and did her best to be helpful at all times. Every time I left or came back, the staff asked if I needed anything. Thank you.😊

The breakfast was enjoyable, and I was especially impressed with the hospitality from the food staff and front desk team. The cookies and coffee available for guests were a nice added touch. I also appreciated the small business area and the flexibility to stay in the lobby after checkout to finish some work. Overall, I was very pleased with my experience and would definitely stay here again.

Jacuzzi in room is fun but room turns into jungle. Even with high ceilings. Not practical.

The rooms could use an update, a lot of previous damage in our room. Did’t partake of breakfast. Staff were friendly. Room could have used fresh towels and the garbaged removed at least once during our 4day/3 night stay.

Shower was not good. For a 5'1" lady, was hard to fix shower head. If house was avaliable to move in when we should have this is one place I wouldn't go back to.

We liked the location as the hotel is 7 miles from my sons house who we were visiting. The mattress was too firm, was like sleeping on the floor. The staff was AMAZING! The room smelled like cigarette smoke, the staff at the front desk agreed. The flooring next to the bed was lifting and pinched your foot when you got up. There was a surge protector outlet that was completely full plugged in behind the tv and the outlet itself was loose and didnt hold a plug in place.

Close to where I needed to be. I reserved a double queen, dog friendly room and was moved to a king on the first floor “to be closer to outside dog area” by front desk upon arrival. Sounded okay until I experienced it. The bed was lumpy, room small and uncomfortable, no place to sit other than rolling desk chair, and the dog fee ridiculous. I can understand a one time fee per stay but not for each night of the stay - especially in a room with hard floors/no carpeting. The dog area a mess, no feces bags available, near hotel garbage containers with litter everywhere.

After the maintenance team came to our room and attempted to get the tv working, they told us to wait about 20 minutes and to let them know if it came back on - it did not. We saw the team in the hallway on our way out and let them know it was still not working. We can only assume that they reported our issue onward, but not one member of the front desk or management staff followed up with us for the duration of our stay. Not one offer to move us to a different room, not an offer to compensate us in some way for our unmet expectations, nothing. I understand it was a busy holiday week and ours were perhaps not the most significant customer service issues the team was facing, however, to not be acknowledged for 5 days in the hospitality industry was mindboggling. I have been a hotels.com user for a long time, I am a regular traveler and have stayed in a wide variety of places for both business and pleasure. A customer service misstep as blatant as this one was a surprise and a true disappointment. We have family in the Crystal Lake area and will be finding other accommodations for future visits.

The woman who checked me in waa great! But i was woken up by staff around 7:30AM doing work on the building as well as a house keeper another hour later tryint to get into my room when checkout wasnt for several hours. I also was woken up the night before by a fire alarm. All of this made me feel unsafe and i slept horribly while at this hotel

Room was clean but bathroom had peeling paint and some mold growth in shower. Needs updating. Hallway has weird odor, almost smelled like beer. Rest of hotel was clean. Breakfast was great

My one night stay was wonderful. Bruce at front desk was courteous and efficient. Only complaint was hair dryer did not work in room 205, could not even reset outlet it was plugged into - please have maintenance evaluate/repair it.

The room had a shower curtain rod that was ready to fall off no grab bar. The whole place looked like it was falling apart.

From the moment I pulled into the parking lot I was questioning my reason for reserving this place. It was close to my brother’s home and I thought it was the same hotel I stayed at 2 years earlier. I was really wrong. From the unsightly trash spilling out in the open dumpster in the parking lot, to the crack head smoking his cigarette outside and an ashtray that was over flowing, I began questioning myself. Someone puked and it wasn’t cleaned up well at the entrance to the place, and someone urinated in the corner against the wall. It smelled disgustingly gross. The guy in charge was friendly but rather scary looking. The keys he gave me didn’t open my room. I returned the keys and decided to leave. I think God was trying to tell me to get the heck out of dodge. I found a terrific hotel (Holiday Inn Express) that was in Hoffman Estates. I spent my two nights there and was so happy with my choice. I definitely will stay at the IGH Holiday Inn Express in Hoffman Estate

Very disappointed, and some of the conditions of our room the tile in the bathroom was broken. Parts were missing large crack in the basin of the sink.

I wish they had carpet around the beds. Our sofa did not have a bed in it.

I stepped into a hole near the no parking warning sign at the entrance. It was in the evening as I was walking my dog before bedtime. I reported it to the woman at the counter along with a man who I assume was in maintenance. There is also a metal rod sticking out of the ground which if I landed on it could cause serious injury. I was told by both employees that the hole would be filled the next day. When I left three days later it still was not fixed. Thankfully I was not injured but you may not be so lucky the next time. You have a major lawsuit waiting to happen.

It is in the process of being updated. The older rooms are in need of the update.

Not a bad place to stay for the price. Our room had a heavy smell of antiseptic that lingered for the entire stay. Rooms were clean. Electrical receptacles on night stands were so loose we weren't sure our electronics were getting charged. Breakfast was typical free breakfast fare but lots to choose from. The elevator cable made noises going to first floor. By second morning elevator is out of commission- stairs aren’t easy for a mobility challenged person. First evening: someone is smoking cigarettes on the second floor. At 10:30pm, called front desk about upstairs kids going from stomping to jumping off furniture. This kept going till 12:30am. Where were the parents? Hotel is not set up for disabled persons. Front doors are pull open only with no handicap button or ADA pull strength. Shower/ tub next floor up had drip pan issue and you could hear water dripping onto our ceiling. Room door wouldn’t close and have the plug engage/latch onto frame. We found if you slammed the door with force the plug would engage. We could leave the room for breakfast or to go out and didn’t need to have the room key to get back into the room. An easy push of the door and your in! Hotel needs to be renovated since the property is not being maintained. Door hardware on stairs- broken, peeling paint in rooms, water damage stains, carpet stains everywhere, duct tape trying to hold couch pull out mattress together.

Had a clogged toilet when we went into the room after checking in. Went to the front desk and they gave us a plunger and basically said for us to handle it. Then expected us to bring them back the plunger to the front desk. I don't really feel it's our responsibility to do any of that. room was reasonably clean and the rest of the stay was fine.

I was booked for a 3pm check in. I called at 7am to ask for an early in. Was told no. Then proceeded to check with front desk until 3pm. Room still not available. Came back and was given a hard time that we didn’t have a room a were expected to wait. At 11pm. Were told we had to pay for a day we weren’t allowed to stay even though we tried checking in multiple times during the day. We weren’t given our welcome baskets for being part of a wedding party. We picked this particular hotel because of the indoor pool for my kids. They did not inform anyone that the pool was going to be worked on during our stay, so we only had the pool for 2 days out of our 6 day stay! Our garbage needed to be empty and our toilet stopped working. I notified them in the morning and requested service. We were out all day and when we returned, it wasn't dealt with. When I called down to the front desk I was informed maintenance and housekeeping were gone for the day. They couldn't even get me a plunger to try to fix the issue ourselves. Our option was to move to another room.

The hotel was dirty. It was under construction and it was unsafe to walk down our hallway. Most of the rooms on our hallway were under construction with no knobs on doors, doors wide open, no room numbers on doors. It felt unsafe as anyone could be waiting inside the empty rooms to jump out at anyone walking down the hall. Anyone could access the hallway using the stairs or elevator. There was no security. Non-guests could access all parts of the hotel.

Abbie at the front desk was a delight. So friendly and helpful. Room carpet felt dirty and was dingy. Corners not clean. Housekeeping did not check in one time in 5 nights. We had one small garbage can and I emptied it myself every day. I snitched plastic cups, tp and garbage bags off carts in hall. Linens however were ample and very plush and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Coffee plentiful in lobby and breakfast was always fresh and tasty though repetitive. The building temperature was unbearably warm however and other guests agreed. Thankfully I could open the window because the a/c unit was very noisy. Not sure I would stay there again.

Clean and comfortable room. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good. Beds were comfortable. Shower head was not the best and the elevator made you nervous with the sounds, but we used the stairs instead.

Outdated and dirty rooms. Shower was terrible and had the oldest shower head I’ve ever seen. There were strange holes in the bathtub.

Might as well of stayed at a motel 6. Room was dirty, two spiders crawled across my ceiling. Felt like a room from the 80s that has never been updated. Thought I was going to get stuck in the elevator.

I stayed at this hotel 5 years ago it used to be so much better. I decided to purchased 4 days in advance based on my previous stay there 5 years earlier. what a mistake that was. Where do I begin. The bathroom had old washcloths in it from weeks earlier. The refrigerator didn't work. The heater did not work properly. I reported all this and requested a different room and they denied me a different room. Twice a requested the room to be cleaned, And both times the room was not cleaned. Their breakfast that they serve consisted of powder eggs dried out sausages and gross hash browns it used to be so much better 5 years earlier. I prepaid for 4 days at this hotel and I've never felt so trapped at a hotel before. In my opinion, they also do section 8 housing at this location. Do yourself a favor friend, pay the extra 50 bucks a night and get something decent this place was far from being worth the savings. It was gross....

There’s a smaller pool which is clean with a comfortable water temperature, and pool towels were plentiful. Breakfast was very good, offering eggs, sausages, real potatoes, waffles, cereals, bagels, breads, fruit, and more. All the staff were very friendly. I would recommend this place for what you pay for it.

We checked in late, but thankfully they did not mark us no show… and dis allow us to check in.. but the room was not very good condition… the toilet would get clogged up easily.. and the bathtub stopper was broken so was the stopper’s knob…

Facility is kind of run down-needs updating. Staff at front desk struggled with slow computer that hindered getting guests checked in. Our room keys deactivated multiple times requiring us to go back to desk. Our room was kind of musty smelling, many areas of paint worn or flaking off, air conditioner struggled to keep room cool. Bed and pilllows super uncomfortable.

The room I received was a handicap accessible room. The bathroom area was absolutely atrocious. It was dirty, in disrepair and didn’t even have what the state requires for handicapped bathrooms. Perhaps other rooms are better, in better condition but this was not. The staff however were wonderful. Since the entire hotel was booked there were no other rooms available. I would avoid this hotel.

Worst staybi have ever had at this hotel and I have been staying here for years when I come to town. I didnt even check-in until 4:30pm, an hour and a half after when check-in starts(3pm). When I got up to my room I found the entire housekeeping staff just sitting in the room, talking and not cleaning. As soon as they saw me they jumped to cleaning and kept apologizing while my child and I stood in the hallway with all of our stuff waiting. We had somewhere we needed to be by 6pm and still needed to get ready but couldn't even do that because we couldn't get into our room. We waited in the hall for 15 minutes while they rushed to clean the room. When we got into the room it reeked of cigarette smoke and like someone had repeatedly smoked in that room, a non-smoking room. The a/c unit was barely pushing cold air and severly outdated. As we were leaving to go to our event, I stopped by the front desk to inform them of what had happened and the state of the room. He said he would email is GM and they would contact me Monday when they got back in the office, it is now 5 days later. I still have not gotten a call. Was not offered a different room or something to help with the smell and ventilation. The room was really run down and needs a lot of work. I am very upset at my stay, especially for the price I paid for the room. Will not be staying here ever again and will be contacting corporate in regards to this.

Hotel staff were not customer friendly. No greeting upon arrival. They sit low behind a high counter, Behind large computer screens. Completely unwelcoming. Upon checkout, no inquiry about our stay. Was everything ok? Just, drive carefully. Further, the room was reserved months ahead for a suite, to include a sofa. We were given a suite, but with a whirlpool, no sofa. We ask for a change but we’re told none were available. We had no use of the whirlpool. On a good note, breakfast was good. Room clean and quiet.

This is a nice hotel to stay in, yes it's dated a bit but still kept up. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. The staff was nice. Loved having breakfast available if you wanted it. Saved on not buying one meal a day! Will definitely stay here again!
