We did the reserve now and pay later option and process was easy to check in. Room was clean.

Property was clean and room configuration was ideal for my snoring husband and I. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that the walls were not very sound proof at all. The tv in the living area next door could be heard all night while sleeping in the pullout in our living room. I also woke up to the Rocky theme coming from the room on the other side. Regardless, I think I would stay there again for the room layout and cleanliness.

We booked a king suite as we were there for a while. Great space. The pool and hot tub were more than welcomed after our day activities. Pool was cool but a great answer to the hot tub. Breakfast…stick to the cereal. The rooms have signs of wear, carpet stains, shower has had many repairs, low water pressure.

Room,and staff were great. Breakfast that was offered had a good selection if you're not a diabetic. I would suggest that they would offer another protein like bacon or sausage along with eggs. They had biscuits and gravy offered as the other hot food on Saturday May 17th during my stay. I am a diabetic, everything offered for breakfast was basically ALL carbohydrates, except for a pancake egg and a boiled egg.

Very nice atmosphere. The tap water has a metallic taste. The elevator needs to be adjusted. The breakfast bar is clean but limited selection as far as nutrition. There was no meat on Sunday’s buffet.

When we first got to the room we noticed the TV and it was small. Lol. No bigger than 30in I imagine, and that is in the king suite living room and bedroom. The light to our room did not work and the door had an issue with closing and made a very loud noise when closing or opening causing us to have to keep it propped open so we didn't cause our son to wake up, so I paid extra from a separated room that I couldn't shut the door to. (We did not realize this till we tried to open after putting our son to sleep. At this point it was 10pm so we just did not close the door again after that and remained quite.) Not super pleased with that. Then came breakfast and that was just so disappointing. There was no meat other than sausage crumble inside the gravy mix. The eggs were round yellow patties and dry as the desert. There was just not a whole lot of options or good flavor either. They did have juice, yogurt and etc but the mains were just lacking very badly. It was a 100 bucks a night hotel breakfast for an over 200$+ stay. Just highly disappointing in some areas.

They were full and couldn’t accommodate a first floor for handicap.

The pool water was not the cleanest and very cold, the hot tub needs more attention too. Everything else was excellent. and we really count with the pool and hot tub.

We are locals and stayed here for a couple of nights during a renovation. We chose this hotel because of the hotel tub amenity which, upon entry- we found at a Luke warm temp. We asked front desk to turn up the temp and were told nothing could be done, this is where the fire department set it. We thought that was bologna, considered not staying another night (as that was the reason for staying here

THE BREAKFAST WAS GOOD WITH LOTS OF OPTIONS. THE KIDS HAD A GREAT TIME IN THE POOL

Additionally, the deadbolt on the hotel door was broken, so the only thing securing the door was the latch which I didn’t notice until after 10 pm. That was a disappointment as well as I was traveling solo with two toddlers and safety should never be a concern!

Leave coffee out. The coffee was removed from the lobby at 8pm. We went down to grab a cup of coffee or tea and there was nothing. We did end up making coffee back in the room.

Check in was really quick. The pool was a nice size and had plenty of towels. Overall it was very quiet.

The bed was very uncomfortable, and the pillows were very flat. The room was only cleaned where it was visible. There was garbage under the bed, ac/heating unit, and shoved into the chair. There was hair stuck along the shower walls.

the winddows were open in the pool which I assume means the chemicals would be difficult to maintian. But I'd assume they test regularly so perhaps it was ok. the bathrooms off the pool were surprisingly fancy and nice to walk in so it sort of off set the perception of the windows being open. I also liked that it wasent overly stuffy or hard to breath. so perhapse the having the pool chem tests published would off set my perception of the windows being open

We arrived at the hotel at around noon. We were told that no one could check in until at least 2PM. There are always some rooms available for early check in and all we wanted was for a place to put our luggage before going out for whole afternoon. This could have easily been accomplished but the clerk was not going to help us. He was also fairly rude to us. How about a policy that attempts to work with your customers instead of just a flat no.

The hot tub jets didn't work so that was very disappointing. The one thing we were really looking forward to relaxing in. The other things were very nice. No cleaning of rooms but you could ask for towels. We asked the front desk for towels to be taken to our room and never received them. Got in late that night and no washcloths to use. The next day we asked the day clerk, and he got them for us right away.

Country Inn and Suites were once a VERY nice and upscale place. Now, its no better than a motel 8. I won't be staying at this chain anymore.

The suite was great. A little wear but clean. The pool and spa were well maintained. The staff were friendly. Enjoyed the breakfast selection. Location to restaurants was awesome.

They had a small indoor pool, and hot tub area. The pool room had 2 singular washrooms, with showers included. Next door was a small gym room. My boyfriend enjoyed starting his morning there. The room was cozy, it had a mini fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker. It was such a cute stay! There was also breakfast available near the lobby until 11:00. The people who worked the front desk were super nice too, such a comfortable visit.

My room smelled VERY HEAVY of some cleaning fluid. Almost like Windex and damp musty carpet together. Like a room that's been smoked in with an attempt to cover up the scent. I don't know for sure that's what it was but it was terrible. When I told the front desk I was told no other rooms are available. Wasn't offered a discount or to leave the property just "sorry" and told maybe someone would make it better the next day.

The front desk guy was very helpful finding a luggage cart for us.

Overall this is a clean and comfortable small hotel. The location is good. I found the shower head to be a little too water-saving for my likes. And the breakfast area is a bit on the small side. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It’s in a good safe area. I would stay again.

This is the second time we've stayed at Country Inn in Crystal Lake. It didn't disappoint. The rooms are roomy, clean, well cared for. Beds are comfortable, many pillows. It's location is close to everything which was great! Breakfast was not amazing, but got us started in the AM - bonus that it was open an hour later on holidays! We will be back!

The refrigerator was not working. The front desk worker said there was no one to fix it at this time. I pulled the refrigerator out of the cabinet and discovered it was not plugged in. When I plugged it in, it worked. It was a noisy refrigerator so I wondered if a previous customer unplugged it. Also, the cabinet the refrigerator is in is in bad condition.

The bed was perfect formy back after a long drive. The real breakfeast excellent. I was walking down the hall trying to make it to breakfest i walk with a cane. Well halfway down the hall my knees bunkle and i would fallen if i tried to walk. I holler help help Mike from front desk gets chair for me and then gets my wheelervwalker in from car. Everything about the place is great. A you have a Culvers walking distance righ outside the door.

Check-in was easy. We noticed the fresh scent of the room walking in, which was very pleasant. The refrigerator, which made a steady noise all night, is very small, but we were only staying the night, so I’m not going to be too critical at that price.

I always try to stay at this hotel when I come into town, even if it's a little farther drive to the stops I have to make. It is still convenient to the Northwest suburbs and O'Hare. The surrounding location is clean, safe, and quiet. It has easy parking and plenty of places to dine nearby. The staff is always polite and courteous.

I’ve stayed here several times while visiting family in the area. It’s always clean and the staff is friendly. Bed isn’t the softest but otherwise it’s a comfortable stay.

Breakfast was mediocre - a lot of latecomers arrived right before the end of serving hours - hotel seemed unprepared and there were insufficient quantities of some items.

This hotel suited our needs for a place to stay near our daughters. The breakfast could definitely have been better but the coffee was good. The water pressure in the shower was not very strong.

I loved everything about the hotel except the water smells and tastes like SULPHUR. It was so weird. Even the water in the breakfast area smelled and tasted like a boil egg. Idk if that’s part of the city but it stinks

Congratulations, this king size bed was one of the most uncomfortable beds I've ever slept in, I got a total of 2 hrs sleep. The pillows were so small & uncomfortable, they were more for a toddler bed not a king size. They only give you the bedding on the bed which is a sheet and bedspread no blanket so we were cold. The mattress was stained, gross! The location was perfect for where I needed to stay but disappointed and will not stay here again!

it's decent for what it is. no drama, no glitch, and that's what everyone wants.

Be warned, this property will not correct errors made when Expedia books the room. They did not give me the room I booked because on their system it was wrong. They will not move you to the correct room or refund your stay. walls are thin, could hear neighbors. Breakfast was boring and cheap compared to other hotels. It was juice, coffee, cereal, the waffles you can make, gross looking muffins and bagels. We went out to eat after walking through. Disappointing. Toilet paper roll gets wet when you take a shower. beds are hard. You can get a mattress topper though and that helped. The mattress topper is the only thing I csn say was better than neutral.
