The room was not well maintained. The shower curtain was old and showed signs of mold. The bed sheets and blanket were worn out and even torn in places. The refrigerator hadn’t been cleaned properly, and the toiletries were limited. I won’t even mention the long wait at the front desk before anyone arrived to check me in.

Staff was BEYOND RUDE! I sent them a message because I am disabled and use a walker and that I needed help with ONE bag. When I parked, I called and a woman answered the phone. When I asked if someone would come help with me bag, she actually told me, "We don't do that!" Very loudly. I started to get upset but I'm not a crier. I asked her what should I do? She told me to "figure it out or it was tough shhht." I hung up on her. When I went to the door using my walker, she opened the door for me, phone still in hand. The man behind the desk said he didn't know who I had spoke to. My room was disgusting, paint on the bed spread, no lock on the door, and even the TV, asked me to sign in to a ROKU and put MY Netflix information in... and when I left for another hotel, they sent me a message and threatened to charge me up to 100% on top of what I had already paid. I have now contacted my lawyer AND The Commission for Disabled Persons in Dallas. DO NOT STAY HERE!

The curtains didn't close and one was broken.

It was affordable and had a king size bed It was filthy. The door had a huge gap on top so you could see the hallways. The shoes curtain and tub had mold because the water never fully shut off and the hot/cold water knob was on upside down. The hair dryer was for pure decoration as the cord that plugs into the wall was cut off and it was covered in dust. The bathroom floor was not mopped, covered in scum and a pair of contact lens were stuck to the floor. The refrigerator was broken and rusted. The bed has burn holes from cigarettes in the bedding. The floor had tons of dirt/dust bunnies especially by the window. The couch had mold under the cushions. I recommend bringing shower shoes, your own towels and pillows. Luckily we had a plug in cooler since the refrigerator didn’t work.

Friendly Staff, working microwave & fridge, comfy pillows, great water pressure in shower, tv/cable/wifi worked. I love a firm bed, the ones at the hotel were a little more than what I am used to. When I return later this year I will stay again.

First I required a non smoking room and I was assigned a reeked of cigarettes room. Blankets, pillow cases were dirty and smelled bad. Also the shower curtain was full of black spots, along walls all over. towels were stained as well. The price was not bad but I expected a clean room. No luxuries but cleaner space to sleep.

The jets on the tub had very low pressure. The mirrors were disgusting they looked like they had been wiped with a dirty rag and dirty water. There was only 1 night stand. When I pulled back the covers on the bed, there was an earring in the bed. It was in a very seedy area lots of topless bars, sex shops, liquor stores etc. Not a nice place, not a nice area.

(tldr: bedbugs)I hate to have to do this because up until now I have loved this place. They are respectful of my privacy it's an easy check in no deposit it's quiet and out of the way and until now I would say clean, but the other day I stayed here for a night and saw multiple baby roaches so I mentioned it to the staff upon check out and they said they would call pest control and so I didn't come in for about a week. So then last night I stayed, didn't see any roaches, but woke up this morning with insect bites all over my right upper arm and the back of my neck, I told myself it was a very hungry spider but as I was moving the pillows looking for it I saw a little apple seed looking thing and when I squashed it with my finger a splash of blood came out! I googled it and that is a bed bug! This really sucks I can't stay here anymore and this has been my favorite place to go when I just need a night to myself :-( the staff is super nice and respectful and the price is usually great (as long as you book it online on a site like this) but bedbugs? No sir thank you very much but no can do!

Smells like weed and cigarettes, filthy inside and out. Room dirty, lights and outlets coming out off the wall, locks on doors ripped out and nonfunctional. Bathroom dirty, especially the toilet tank, lukewarm water in shower, oh and, cockroaches. I feel like I got scammed, this place was nothing like the description…nothing!

Generally would give 4 stars Ive spent about a month here over the course of time. I had bed bugs in one of my rooms no compensation bit up decently. Its a great location for me. Im definitely paranoid hopefully trash bags and frezer bags

If you're the type to get hung up over stained appliances or chipped paint then spend a few extra dollars and check out a chain hotel but the Tropicana is clean and quiet with an incredibly easy check-in process and especially the gentleman who works the morning shift is incredibly helpful and polite. Overnight shift could use a warm up in customer relations.

Not the nicest place, with discolored linens and rusted bathtubs but it's clean and it's quiet and the staff are amazing and you can't beat the price. An ideal place for a Solo traveler but if you're vacationing with the family, maybe spend a few extra bucks and try the comfort inn

The rooms are OK for the price. The staff is the big problem. They treat people like trash. While checking in the guy wouldn't even make eye contact. I locked my key in my room, and and was threatened with an extra charge because the dude had to spend 30 seconds scanning a new key. And you better be sure you are out of the room at 11 sharo. At 11:08 there was a loud knock at the door. I opened the door and saw the angriest old man yelling about checkout at 11. Every encounter with the staff was negative. I don't know why these people work at a place where they have such disdain for their "guests'.

The cart was very hard to push to get our luggage. Trying to take it up I got trapped in the elevator. I had to call my 14 yo child to come down and ask them what was going on because they just turned off the elevator and left me without a word. Luckily they had called 911.

Old but pretty clean. Especially the tubs. The toilet paper holder is behind you and some of the lights didn’t work. The bed sheets Watters clean and blue, my favorite color. The covers had several burn holes. The curtains didn’t close well. The deadbolt lock didn’t work. Loveseat beat up and worn. Microwave and fridge in room. Cheap snacks.

The towels were very dirty had red and brown stains in the front and back on every single towel. Big holes and dirty blood stains on the covers water was luke warm, staff acted like they didnt want to help with the towels told me he couldnt access new towels.

This place has mold in the showers, it smells weird in the whole hotel, there was holes in the blankets, the elevator is sketchy, my key card stopped working twice when I asked for it to be fixed I was met with attitude, never staying here ever again this place really ruined my experience in Dallas and they need to do better or sell the place to different owners

Okay for a short trip

The staff was polite. The bed was comfortable. The room was ok. Bathroom had a used floss pick on the floor & hair on the toilet. Jacuzzi was good--located in the bedroom area. Lobby reeked of pot. Nobody bothered us. Place was quiet.

The hotel is cheap, but it is not clean, there are insects everywhere. I mean, if you don’t mind this, you can stay here but I would spend more money to have a better experience.

Low price but you get what you pay for. Neighborhood is full of companies doing contract work, so lots of dirt. There's a nice National Guard park within walking distance where I tried to get to. One of those places had a attack guard dog that was pretty loose with no gates on the property. It chooses me and almost got my ankle.

The motel was fine, seemed quiet at night, but the old guy walking around with some sort of stick all the time, kinda creeped me out. he seemed to be watching me, everytime I went outside, and even once inside.

Heater not wifi worked.. room was okay other than poor cleaning and holes in cover.

I booked in for 10 days, i reported my concerns to management and they done nothing to rectify. I asked for my money back, i was refused and they refused to put me in another room. I had 9 sleepless nights, my body was waten by the bed mites. I had to wear tracksuit nottoms and top to minimise the bites rrom the bed mites. It was a nightmare hotel, and would not recomend to anyone.

This property has smoking on the first floor. So, it does not smell clean. A cockroach greeted us as we opened our door. (stomped) A spider was in the toilet. (flushed) The sheets and comforter were stained. So was the shower curtain and towels.

Where to begin on this review. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot I noticed the picture of the building was a little different,in the picture the built was nice looking and looked like a nice hotel.In actuality on the outside of the hotel was rusted and beat up looking and doesn’t look well maintained.we proceeded to go check in to the hotel as soon as we walked into the hotel it smelled bad of stain cigarettes and to the left was a man sitting on the couch with a labtop on his lap crisscross with flip flops.we went to the front desk to find out that was who was checking us in.we asked for a smoke free room since we don’t smoke.we finally got checked but be for we went to the car to grab our things we wanted to take a look at the room.So we proceed to the elevator and I almost didn’t want to touch the buttons to go up to the 2nd floor to our room because the inside of the elevator was so dirty! We got to the 2nd floor found our room opened the door and the worst smell of stinky dirty feet slapped me in the face!!!! The top sheet to the bed was rinkled and looked as if it had a nut stain on the bed and it also had cigarette burns in it,the fridge in the room was old looking on the outside,something in me wanted to see what the inside of the fridge looked like.The inside of the fridge was dirty and rusted.i was SO disappointed in the room.we left out of the room and straight to the front desk gave the key back and left.we didn’t want to try another room it was that bad!

The room was dirty and smelled strongly like the man-sweat of the previous guest. Urine on the seat, filth on the floor, stench in the room. I called that evening before to request late checkout the next day. Was told yes I could have an extra 30 minutes (11:30). Then at 11:04 housekeeping came knocking despite my request and the Do Not Disturb tag. I stated I would be checking out soon. Then as I came out at 11:10 he stared giving me the stink eye… Don’t understand the big rush to get in and clean the room *after* me if this same sense of urgency was not there to clean the room *before* me. Won’t be returning to this hotel.

Nobody was at the desk when we arrived and waited 20 minutes for someone to show up even after we tried calling twice. The hotel smelled bad of cigarettes, our room was not cleaned very well, there was an empty beer bottle on the side of the couch. The floor in our room was not level. The blankets on the bed were super thin. We will NEVER stay there again!!

Toilet had leak they had a bucket to catch water when you flush…. Around the toilet base hadn’t been cleaned. Hard hair and dirt… shower curtain had mildew around the edges…. Bed spread had holes…. The room I stayed in was very nice. I had a large bed, dresser, TV, desk to work at, couch to relax on, as well as a microwave, a mini fridge, and a nicely sized bathroom with a full counter and shower that has great water pressure. For the price, this was an excellent decision. I would highly recommend.

I stay at cheaper places. This was clean, had a good ice machine, and the TV worked well. Bed wasn't bad either. I'd stay again

The bathroom faucet wasn't even connected to the counter. I slept on top of their bed spred with my own quilt and haven't had any ill affects. I threw their pillows on the 65 year old love seat and used my own pillows. The man at the front counter seemed odd, but he was very nice and polite. Like I said, I was looking for cheap and I got cheap. It was safe and quiet, but I will definitely pay an extr $15 a night for a pool and a Breakfast.

1. The card key scanner on at least one of the doors at either end of the building (I didn't check the other one) was broken so you could just open the door and walk in, which didn't necessarily make me feel super safe from intruders. 2. While there were two bars of facial soap in the bathrrom there was no body soap and I didn't bring any of my own.

So dirty. Like, obviously wasn’t cleaned. Last person who stayed there obviously had diarrhea. Crumbs on the desk. Large amounts of dirt in every corner. I travel for a living. I’ve stayed in some questionable places. But I pride myself on getting a good deal. Yikes, I’ll sleep in my car next time.

This place is super clean it is not fancy but you will not be the price for what we get here I come down and watch the Rangers play a couple times a month and I'll always stay here.
