Stars off because we were awoken at 5am with a weird robot wake up call that we didn’t request. There was also some construction and the walls are paper thin so neighbors can be heard. Also we asked for 1/2 hr late checkout and girl said we’d be charged $20 bucks. Lame. A little table and chair would also be helpful in the room as there is nowhere to sit and eat.

The check-in was a guy from some other country, on a tv. They charged for parking, then when we looked for our “paid” spot someone else was parked there even until the morning when we were leaving. There was a lot under construction around the property so our room was technically remodeled, but it felt like more of a cheap flip. No crib if you’re traveling with small kids. Pretty meh experience overall.

The room we stayed in had food left over from the previous person (chicken). It was left in the microwave.

Their main office is a kiosk with remote a live agent, check in was easy. Parking is limited so early check in to reserve a spot is recommended. I’ve be hesitant to return only because we got ~4 hrs of sleep during the last night due to loud noise coming from the adjacent unit until 3am (their TV shared a thin wall with our bed), and there was no on-site manager to handle that problem. I sent messages to the property through the Expedia app and called several times to no avail.

Staff wasn’t helpful and If your checking out or in consider your time gonna be wasted . Can’t say the same for everyone but they had me do everything via a machine and you have to pay a deposit and parking or your gonna get tolled it says

Dhruv was amazing and very accommodating even though we came super late. The rooms were super spacious and clean, well lit and well ventilated. Also we had an updated room and it was really modern looking, absolute gem for the price.

Si estaban amplias las habitaciones pero no se encontraba azúcar en el área de café, ni para mover el café, ni cuchara ni servilleta y la cama sonaba los metales cuando uno se acostaba y también tienen un cobro de $12 por estacionarte en el local. No le encuentro lógica. Si haces una reservación por 1/4 tendrías que tener tu parqueo sin costo adicional

No complaints except for check in. There is staff on site but they will not help and have you check in on the kiosk, which takes about 20 minutes. Not very convenient.

Small parking slots (assigned at check-in), not good if you have something like a Toyota Tundra. Small rooms, uncomfortable beds, very thin blankets, flat pillows. At check-in, there's no receptionist - there's a guy in the monitor who does virtual check-in. Construction happening at the time we stayed here, can get noisy.

Beautiful view of the water and city and right across the street from Cow palace and close enough to mission st that had a ton of great food . . The location was super convenient . The $50 deposit fee was the lowest fee I could find along with the $11 on-site parking fee . 30-40 minutes from the bridge the pier ‘

There is no receptionist. You talk to a machine with a guy in India. They are so lazy. No security. Rooms small. Furniture worn out and shaky. Bathroom completely worn out like things people throw away. Am surprised that Expedia is working with such hotels and even recommended them.

Room was ok for the price but on Check-in through a remote AV kiosk I was informed that they were charging an additional $10 for parking otherwise I could “park on the street and risk my car getting damaged”. I was assigned a parking spot #25 which was practically on the street and about 500 feet down the hill from my room. When I complained they gave me a different spot closer to the room and when I returned from dinner somebody else was parked in my spot. I don’t like surprise charges upon arrival.

Beautiful Hotel

Probably because the property was old, the room was not inviting and the smell of the cigarette smoke even though it was a non smoking room the smell of it stays. Anyway overall is bad.

Easy check in, parked my truck right in front of my room, so super convenient, clean room, and nice size bathroom as well.

We had originally booked for 2 nights but had such a terrible experience after the first night, we checked out early. Staff were not that friendly or accommodating. The online pictures did not look like they did in real life. For example, we had booked a room with 2 queen beds. In the pictures, it showed one bed, a night stand in between, and then the second bed. When we arrived, the 2nd bed was in a different room with only enough space to walk around the bed. The bathroom was so small my husband couldn't even fit on the toilet or turn around in the shower. The bed was so uncomfortable, my husband was unable to sleep all night. The room smelled old and musty. Even the parking was so tight the person on the passenger side of the car could not get out once parked. I had read online there was supposed to be a free breakfast but there was no breakfast provided at all. We were celebrating our anniversary and this was not ideal in any way for how we wanted to spend our time. To top it off, the hotel has a policy not to refund your money if you decide not to stay the entire length of time you originally booked. A very disappointing trip.

The gentleman at the front desk was extremely helpful and pleasant, and the housekeeping ladies were amazing—everything was always clean and fresh. It’s also surprisingly calm and quiet, almost like you’re away from the city. Highly recommended

Room was spotless. I got into town late. Booked with another hotel and their heater was broken. I booked with Alpine Inn and Suites and they were so anxious to accommodate me. I did not arrive till almost midnight and the front desk stayed up and waited for me! The last hotel was a total dive and upon arrival here I was so relieved and distressed. What a gem! Clean, courteous, and very helpful! Thank you so much!!

Only 1 sugar for 2 coffees. Wifi overnight was bad. Had a lot of online things to do after a full day of driving. Tried for about 45 minutes to use it at 11:00. It would connect and then drop out right away. Mostly it said Connected/No Internet. Once it said too many devices were connected. I had to move the night stands to plug in the chargers for phone & tablet. We checked in after dark, so it was awesome to see the Cow Palace framed in the Inn's entrance in the AM.

I booked suddenly at 1.35 am. Drove to the hotel for there by 2 am. Tried to check in. The guy said i don't have a reservation and showed him my booking no and conformation emai. He said but we have nothing available I don't know why did expedia sold it to you. It's still on pending but once I see my transaction I'll dispute this charge.

The parking is kinda tight, and the room is nicely basic. As will every hotel room I've ever stayed in, there are always things to repair. Some of the rooms have an odd layout, but the important items: bed, toilet, shower, all worked well. I don't need a resort most of the time.

The television was broken and the WiFi had a very weak signal so it was challenging to get any work done.

Everything is VERY old and dingy. But everything worked well. Cable sucked and WiFi sucked.

Room was clean, it’s not the best hotel but if you plan on going to cow palace this is the only option! Would recommend views were nice, staff was nice and the venue was about a 5 min walk:) it’s the bare minimum, bring your own everything basically, but gets the job done!

I try to extend my stay on the day of my booking but the receptionist ask me to come the next day cause he wants to increase the price unknowingly to me and the next day the price was increased after my payment the price went down that was ridiculous.

You know the saying “you get what you pay for?” That’s the case here. If you want a cheap room with an uncomfortable bed, thin blankets, a heater that barely works, a parking space that costs $10, and no amenities whatsoever, this is the place for you. As an added bonus, when you step outside, you get a lovely view of the Cow Palace.

Everything was great... easy check-in, a great location (quiet, nice park within walking distance), easy on-site parking (my car was right in front of my room), and just fifteen minutes to downtown SF. I will definitely stay there again.

Strange to charge extra for parking in the first place when the place has parking .. then to top it off - the space in front of our room wasn’t accessible due to the neighbors parking incorrectly. Then the front desk guy had me playing musical parking spots - telling me certain spots were open - only to find out they weren’t. Not sure if he was messing with us or what - but it was very strange. Room was okay and shower was nice and hot. Mattress springs were shot - def need a new mattress.

The location is great. We stayed for an event at the cow palace. The front desk clerk was very rude. We checked in later 9:30pm and the guy kept complaining about the time and that my cell phone went to VM. Auto ran my card for $100 then another $300 plus $50 plus $10/night for parking. Again he was rude and could barely understand him. He needs better front desk skills as he is providing a service, his job is not telling me how he feels about my check in time. I wouldn’t use this hotel again for that reason. I can receive better customer service at a different hotel for the same price and nicer accommodations.

Exactly what I needed. I had an early morning appointment and didn't want to drive down (2 1/2 hours) that early. The price was right. I've stayed here twice and would stay again. It's not the ritz but I feel safe and comfortable.

This is an affordable, clean property within walking distance of the Cow Palace. The furnishings are not new or in the best condition but everything was very clean and the area felt safe. The bed was described as a queen but seemed larger, very nice. We were able to park in the designated space right outside the door and leave the car when we walked to the event. The staff was friendly. We would stay here again.

Room was pretty dirty, floors had dirt and stains on them, shower also looked like it hadden been cleaned out prior to our visit. The shower was weird and didn't stay hot/would get extremely cold and hot randomly to the point where my skin was on fire and had to step out. We only had 3 pillows which I thought was odd for two people. Room walls are also paper thin so we heard our neighbors all night til 1am and on top of this we had got the only room that had two rooms side by side sharing the same staircase so people were walking directly by our door and window at night. Overall this was a decent place to stay just to have somewhere to sleep for the one night but experience could have been much better.

Parking outside a clean and well appointed room. For South San Francisco seemed a good deal.

You can find much better rooms for the price. Really run down room. Bed felt like sleeping on a board. There were also stains on the headboard and mattress that looked like blood. Terrible lighting. They had two lamps in the room and only one of them had a lightbulb. Stains all over the walls. Black mold in the shower. Staff was RUDE. Man at the front desk acted like I was annoying him by checking in and out. They charge a $10 parking fee for literally no reason. Praying I didn't get bed bugs by staying here. So many stains in the room that I thought cockroaches would for sure show up but thankfully they didn't. Go find a Motel 6 or something cleaner at this price range.

. The hotel attendant assigned a different spot away from the room. Mobility is an issue but we touched it out and stayed anyway because of price and location.

Only 1 light for the whole room. They need to remodel property. When those big Golden Nugget and Harrah's casino hotel finish vuilding more room for low price, these local downgraded motel inn will be out of business.

The hotel is very well located and unexpensive. That keeps the business. But the service is non existent. Barely to check in is a staff. The front desk is always closed unless they are checking someone. You can hear everything from room to room. I do have to say in a positive note that the person that checked me in took care of some guests that were screaming while fighting and he achieved that they stopped the screaming. It was a scary moment. I would not recommend this hotel and should be 1 ⭐️

We were there on the 4th of July week making it so noisy because Daly City folks were exploding fireworks starting Wednesday. It was so noisy and our next door neighbor's children were scared and crying. Nonetheless, the place is safe and easily accessible. The place is a bit old but clean. The price of $85/night (2 queen beds) is the clincher. Can't beat that.

Easy parking and quiet

In the middle of nowhere right across the street from the cow Palace, you walk out and you see it. It’s kind of cool iconic building to wake up to every morning that part of it was super cool, but it’s miles from anything to eat.

My experience was good. This place looks great from outside, inside they need to take care on how the bed looks like, maybe invest on new beds, but I found it acceptable for travelers and some overnight times. Clean inside, and odor free. I guess for the Value I paid is more than enough. Thanks

Stayed here the night before our cruise because we live 5 hours away. As much as the room cost you would think you would have more than just a sheet on the bed and decent pillows. It's a full size bed with 3 very flat pillows and a 19" tv that works like its on its last leg. The pictures on the web are obviously altered. Plus we had payed 3 months in advance for cruise parking to be able to park our car for 2 weeks. We did not know until we got there that they were not going to let us park our vehicle for our cruise even though we had already paid. They could have called or emailed to let us know we needed to make other arrangements and get a refund. AND THEY MADE US PAY $10 BUCKS TO PARK EVEN THOUGH WE ARE STAYING HERE!!! THIS PLACE IS A JOKE!

Far from the fanciest place i've stayed in the Bay but the price was very reasonable and my room was large and comfortable.

hard to find at first unless you're coming from a different street. quick easy check in. not a fan of the hill pariking but i liked that i can park in front of my room. the hotel had a cute little villa vibe. wasn't a fan of some of the neighbors because of their actions. thankfully we were just there for a night. hotel was convenient to location we were going to. average stay, nothing too fancy for our quick trip.

We have been coming to the Alpine Inn and Suites for over 10 years. We enjoy the cute design and spacious rooms. The Friendly staff are so kind and very welcoming. There is another website to reserve rooms for this facility I just found out about and its www.alpineinnsuites.com. This is like a second home to us.

Vipel (excuse me if misspelled) was very helpful in getting us checked in at an inconvenient hour. His customer service ensured that we will return to this hotel if we are ever needing to stay in the area again.

Overall not great experience, other than it being cheaper than the surrounding places it is definitely not an option if I ever go stay over there again. Rooms were dirty and even though it was a non-smoking room, it smelled so much like cigarette and I went in there and the bathroom was dirty Rusty moldy and the window had been opened and had Ash all in the window sill. The walls are thin and you could definitely hear outside and your neighboring person. Only positive part was the front desk person was very nice other than that parking itself is ridiculous, convenient itself and space saving in terms of the hotels perspective but really annoying.

Parking was easy, close to good restaurants and the airport. However I did wait with my wife for a long time for the attendant to show up at check in time, and no one was answering the phone.. Also 10 dollar parking fee? They were not limited on parking as they had plenty of spaces and this was also not mentioned in the booking site. Property is fine and cared for but not good service initially and surprise fees, not it for me could be better.

Was not impressed at all stayed with my wife and 2 kids at first it looked not to bad but as the night progressed it was seemingly worse. My daughter found a used pair of boxers in the drawer and I my self went to open the bathroom window, it wasn't even connected I was literally able to take it off by sliding it. The main office guy said he couldn't do anything and that I had to wait for the owner.

I really liked that the channels on the tv worked. I really enjoy falling asleep to it.

The theming of the hotel room is beautiful and it was comfortable family space. My main issues were: the shower was good for my wife and I but for our 1 year old daughter it was awkward. I feel like having a separate tub would have been better. Also the man at the front desk said that housekeeping was gonna come clean our room on Saturday, however nobody showed up so our trash cans were full and we had dirty towels. Lastly when I called the front desk to ask if they can bring us more towels they let the phone ring with no answer. I had to go to stand in line at the desk just to get the towels, which is was an inconvenience.

It’s a nice view of the sunrise over cow palace. Didn’t like that you had to pay for parking, but it beats parking a block away on the street.

Second room didnt have those issues but was super humid in the room. The separate bedroom was super plain, no nightstand or decor. Just a bed and window shades. 1 rool of TP qnd 3 towels with no extra towels or bedding. Maybe you have to ask front desk but then that is an inconvenience.

Do hill I used to love this place. Now it’s pretty shady.

I appreciate small businesses and privately owned hotels, BUT the check-in was abysmally slow, non-smoke cigarettes reek of smoke, and parking is horrendous. We arrived past the check-in time and the hotel had an outdated checkin system where things are written and scratched out on a notepad. We were assigned a nonsmoking room and were reminded of the rules multiple times just to arrive to a cigarette reeking room. We immediately requested a refund and it took arguing with the manager over the hotel workers personal phone before we got our money back and left. Skip this hotel regardless of the price. Neighborhood is also sketchy and parking parallel is difficult.

They have changed owners from the last time we visit. The assign parking was $10 extra and when we came back it was taken from us. The office/ reception area was cluttered. The head boards were filthy brown from people’s oily heads. That was the last time we stay there!

Place is a little out dated, our sink was clogged and didnt drain at all. Parking sucks if your stall is outside your room "tight squeeze". Will not be staying here again

This is our second time here. After a busy day it’s nice to come back to a clean room that’s quiet and feels homey. Check in is easy and housekeeping is so friendly and kind.

They were nice at first but spent an hour after the staff realized they double charged me for rooms that were already paid for online. We were late to a time sensitive event due to the front desk.

The place was clean but the towels felt like you were drying with sand paper and the bed was terrible. The floor in some spots felt like we were going to fall through. Staff was nice and place was clean and close to cow palace

We have stayed here at least 12 times to visit our child at SFSU. The lasagne we stayed will be the last. It’s just so rundown. The cloth headboards are DISGUSTINGLY dirty. I think I was dirtier after the shower. No fault of the maid service but when the shower stall is crumbling it’s impossible to clean. Too bad with some upkeep it’s a really cute hotel with easy access. 😕

I first was offered a first floor room with a window without a lock. I went to the reception and changed me to a room with a lock in the window but it was not very clean. They went ahead and charged me for the incidentals for a room I only used for a few hours and only used it for sleeping and take a shower.

You get what you pay for. The best thing about this place is the low price. Not somewhere I would want to stay again.

Place is nice. Area is ok. I wouldn’t walk around too much at night if you can avoid it but if you had to you would be fine.

This idiots charge for everything

1) the bathroom floors ick me out. Broken, loose tiles; discolered grout and caulk; 2) the showers ick me out: small and kinda grimy and need a deep cleaning. 3) last time we stayed there for 5 days and they didn't change the linens once 3) the beds and beding are not very comfortable 4) the TVs are laughably small 5) the desk lamp didn't turn on the last time we were there. 6) we flew into town and did not have a car, but we were still charged $10 a day for parking. I had to call the front desk to have the charge reviewed, which they did.

Nice, clean, cozy place to stay

I was very upset when I booked a second night and told that I would need to check out, leave, and come back at the check-in time- I ended up having to pay extra fees just to stay, on top of waking up to go to the office (I work at nights as a security officer and sleep during the day) The shower leaked, The mattress was very uncomfortable, hard, and the the box spring creaky. I think I also have bedbug bites. Every time I moved in my sleep I could hear the bed. Also on Google they advertise a breakfast, and that is not offered. I feel very bait and switched because I ended up having to pay extra fees just to stay here. I booked this room because I thought it was a cute, and convenient spot To stay during my birthday celebrations and honestly it caused me so much more stress. Very disappointed in my stay here. Would not recommend. Also going to post this on Google reviews..

The room that was given to us is a non smoking room but it smells like cigarettes

Friendly staff but absolutely chaotic parking situation for which you are charged $10. Must be good at parallel parking in narrow spaces and was initially assign wrong spot. Then when i return later to correct spot it was occupied. Also my room key failed so had to get a replacement

Each room has a parking space right outside the door. Check in was nice and easy and the guy was very polite and nice to deal with. Our room (Deluxe King Suite) was spacious.. clean.. big comfy bed.. fridge.. microwave.. TV.. toilet.. bath.. shower.. but was quite dated. All the furniture was old style wooden.. and abit tatty around the edges.. the room was for a couple.. but only one chair supplied.. and no built in USB's in any of the sockets for charging phones/tablets etc.. I had to go down to the local 'Dollar Tree' store (which was an experience in itself) and buy a couple of charging plugs. While we're on tech.. the WiFi was free but very weak.. I gave up on it in the end and just used my data. It is in Daly City so quite a few miles out from down town San Francisco.. This wasnt a problem for us as we had the hire car so drove in and out.. There is an electric tram service at the bottom of Geneva Avenue that runs to Chinatown. Its set back away from any main roads so is peaceful at night.. I slept well all three nights. Alpine Inn and Suites is a no frills get what you pay for motel.. its not at all bad.. but it could be better with abit of investment.

We want to choose a quiet environment to work on the Internet , the hotel environment is very good and safe, but the network signal is very poor, staying here with laptops and mobile phones have no network signal, we wasted three days here and can not work on the Internet, The staff blamed it on our laptop and phone,We are not satisfied with the hotel，

It was really great for our one night stay. Everything you need for last minute planning and affordable! Staff was really nice and welcoming! We’ll definitely come back.

There were a lot of things I didn¿t like about the hotel. First of all, it didn¿t fit to the site description and photos. The room and bathroom were not cleaned. They also charge to park the car.
