Best Western Plus Palm Court Hotel

We love staying here... it's right in the middle of everything and the staff are super nice and helpful. Definitely recommend.

The pull out sofa is extremely uncomfortable. There is no way to get a good night sleep on metal with no real cushioning. We had to put the cushions from the sofa on top of it to make it into a comfortable bed. Please replace the pull out sofa beds or provide extra padding to your guests.

Location is great, but AC was very loud. Then again, it was 102 F outside, and the room was cool!

This hotel was recommended by a friend whose daughter attends UC Davis, and we are so glad we stayed here. The room was comfortable, the AC was adjustable and not too loud, and the windows actually open, which I love for fresh air. The hotel also had umbrellas we could borrow, which was perfect for the partially rainy days while we toured the campus, which was just three short blocks away. There is a wide variety of restaurants all around. The elevator to the parking was helpful, and the elevator well is actually beautifully tiled on the wall and very clean (usually these kinds of areas are forgotten, dirty, & unattractive). The free Starbucks coffee was excellent. We also loved the central seating areas in the common spaces, so we could hang out & talk. We would definitely stay there again! Our only complaint was that there are not enough towel hooks (this is very common at every hotel), and the sofa bed was tragically uncomfortable. Two of us slept sideways on it, b/c the bar in the middle was protruding so badly, and it was too short to sleep on the other way. It seems like the end of the sofa bed has been sat on so much, it was smashed flat, and made the mattress sloped on that side. The front desks reps were all very friendly, and those who were UC Davis students generously offered their personal experiences with the school.

Our room was beyond expectations. It was well outfitted, the bed was super comfortable, the outdoor deck with table and chairs to sit in the morning sunshine was really nice. Also, the expansive bathtub with jets was really great to use. The restaurant in the hotel also serves really good breakfast. Everything was awesome. I enjoyed our room, the lobby, the central location. The service was also excellent. It's definitely our go to lodging in Davis.

The AC did not work properly. It couldn’t maintain a temperature. So we were constantly adjusting it because the room was either very cold or warm and stuffy. Also, it would be nice to have a place to hang hand towels and wet bath towels.

Fabulous stay. The room, the bed, the restaurant, the staff…all were excellent. This will definitely be our go to hotel for future visits.

Excellent hotel with underground parking accessible by an elevator.

Breakfast was excellent (not included with my room, though). They even made my eggs custom for me with veggies instead of ham.

Unexpectedly cool hotel, loved the layout and seating areas scattered about the various levels. Liked the layout of the room which was pretty unique compared to a lot of chain places. It had a living room, adjacent vanity and bathroom, and then a hallway to a good sized bedroom with a huge closet and full chest of drawers. If you pack way too much, you’ll have plenty of storage upon arrival for all your things. The one thing I didn’t like so much was how the AC blew directly on you while laying in bed. This was pretty suboptimal. Either have it turn your back into a block of ice or turn it off altogether and the room gets stuffy. Staff were great, helpful and welcoming. They didn’t have any coffee out when I went down in the morning even though they said it would be there which was a bit odd. But the location is ideal with plenty of cafes and eateries within walking distance. The parking area beneath ground is extremely tight with poles everywhere. Don’t come in a large SUV, van or truck. It will be really hard to park down there and street parking can be a nightmare. All in all, would definitely stay here again.

Great location. Nice staff. Very clean. Noisy! You hear all your neighbors, mechanical systems and street noise. Difficult to sleep if the hotel is full. Needs better sound insulation. Room layout is awkward. Rates have risen yet no breakfast, water in the room or other niceties that it used to have.

Room was clean, spacious, loved the jacuzzi, balcony, no complaints! Train nearby but didn’t bother us too much.

The room was clean and the layout is great, especially for those couples whose bedtimes are quite different as there is an outer room and inner one. That said, it would be great if there was a curtain across the room-divider French doors so that the inner could be made dark while the outer room is lit. The heater/air conditioner is noisy, but otherwise we appreciated the other aspects of the hotel (shower, bathroom, spaciousness, mattress). The attached restaurant is very good.

Lovely hotel, perfect location, a bit pricy because it was UC Davis Move In Day and I booked the very last room!

One grab bar on the far wall of the shower is not enough. Need another one next to the tub to assist with getting in and out without extending body and arms off balance. Need another one by the toilet. Towel rack closer to shower. Round hassack - replace with coffee table. No microwave in room. No ice compartment in fridge.

All staff members were very friendly. Hotel atmosphere was welcoming . We ended up staying an extra night and staff was so accommodating . Parking was easy and everything was in walking distance. We will definitely be coming back .

Love the location. Right in the heart of Davis, there are so many restaurants you can walk to. Very short walk to the train station. The staff is friendly and helpful. The restaurants right next door is wonderful.

I was in a suite 1 bedroom 1 living room.with futon (king in bedroom) desk for working, fire place (only when air quality allows it, fire season)2 tvs large Large vanity and huge deck / balcony. Amazing shower as well Let's face it, it's a college town. The students running every where all the time and it's a small town, pedestrian levels are very high, the hotel itself is amazing service, staff great but u walk outside and......now it's young students, drinking, kqreokee that I found was almost 2 blocks away and very very loud and not very good,..sorry...better to be honest, and for some reason every thing is almost trying way too hard to be posh, from the kind of drinks and foods like ube this and Yolo that and I mean so many health drinks and coffee and tea health drink stores, I found most locals running into gas stations just to get away from that because it was not easy to, and again, cookies from bakery soooo expensive and label them as exotic and gourmet and um no. They are every day cookies they take 2 and stuff it and call it gourmet I mean come on dude, "pie flavors were snickerdoodle cookie same ones every where with peach pie and apple pie fillings. Stay here get your good from the surrounding cities.

Great location! The room was wonderful and clean. The staff were attentive and polite. The parking situation is a hassle! I have a bigger car and I couldn't park sometimes due to the compact nature! I had to park overnight outside and was worried about getting a ticket!

Great coffee in the lobby, which is rare. Apparently, there are not two lobby coffee carafes. They did not have coffee ready to go when the lobby carafe was empty.

The location was good The walls are paper thin and other loud guests around us kept us up all night, cheap itchy sheets, and dated rooms and bathroom.

Great property located at the heart of everything In Downtown Davis. Close to shops, restaurants, and the Farmers Market on Saturday. I found the staff was professional, helpful and very nice. The room was spacious and clean and the staff was prompt in making the room up. This will be my go to hotel in Davis.

The room was fine, overall everything was great, however maybe it was just the neighborhood but it was pretty noisy. At 2:30 inn the morning there were people yelling obscenities out in the street. Then an hour later tires screeching as a small sideshow went on. At 6:00am the trash collectors started. It wasn’t a very restful night but not really the fault of the hotel.

The hotel is situated in downtown Davis so everything was within walking distance from all the shops. The hotel was clean, staff were very helpful. I wish the gym stayed open later than 9PM.

Hotel is in a great part of town, super walkable with tons of restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and shops. Room was clean and spacious. Some of the parking spots were tight, even in a compact sedan, but it comes with the territory of staying in a small downtown area

Great place for an overnight stay in Davis. We were in a King suite which was nice and spacious for 2. Bed was very comfortable; nice sheets and mattress. Good shower head, good A/C. We had eye masks, which really helped because the curtains let in some light in the am. Would stay again.

This is a very clean hotel in a nice location with many restaurants within a block - few blocks. Coffee and tea are available 24/7 and there are Kuerig machines in the room. The rooms are on the larger side and very comfortable. While there is an adjoining restaurant (Cafe Bernado) to the hotel which is very convenient as I didn't have a car, it would still be nice to have some kind of included breakfast, voucher, etc. for hotel guests - that would be the only improvement needed.

The hotel was great. The staff was very friendly. The weather was sticky. Lost power and only cold showers in the morning. Definitely not the hotel’s fault. We would stay there again as it is center ally located and comfortable

This is our second time staying at this property. The staff is friendly and responsive, and the place is clean. It's adjacent to a great restaurant, which makes getting food super convenient. We enjoy the suite-style rooms, which makes traveling more comfortable.

It's a real nice place to stay the room was nice the only thing is the balcony wasn't available and we stayed there a year ago and have Alchemy wasn't available fireplace wasn't working

Day staff seemed much better— she got us a different room and was able to find out where we could get food on New Years Day. Could be they were understaffed and using anyone they could find for night shifts, but we are unlikely to stay there again to find out.

Bed was lumpy & comforter was flat, heat was too hot but too cold when turned off. Staff was very cordial.

I like this place but they could use some updates. Two knobs in room missing: window was a screw for knob and front room air flow had no knob. If I come back I will request a room not above the street. Too late the noise for my needs of rest. Windows do shut most of it out but then the fan is too loud so situation was uncomfortable.

The staff was very friendly and check in was very easy. Masks were required and we were fine with that. There was plexiglass at the check in counter and we could see ttat everything was clean and wiped down. Room was exceptionally clean. Its a great location in downtown where the restaurants and shops are within walking distance. We will definitely stay again.

Great hotel in most regards, but the attached restaurant isn’t open until 9:00 am, and has a line out the door at that point. A hotel breakfast should be available at 6:00 am or 7:00 am at the latest; having to wait for undergrads to want pancakes in order to have breakfast is a sort of dealbreaker if you are coming on business.

Every time I stay at palm court it’s the very same thing, impeccable service, and immaculate room, they have never failed to deliver the “goods” as it were. I love this place and I love these people. Nowhere better in Davis in my opinion.

Overall my stay was great! My room was very clean and very nice but there were a couple of things that bothered me. For starters a wasp got into my room, which I don’t blame them for, but when I called the front desk for help the person they sent up had their nose out of their mask which is not only completely unsafe but is also just unprofessional. The other problem that I had was that the tv in my bedroom didn’t have working sound and since the last time someone was in my room they had their nose out, I was afraid to call the front desk. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel and I’m sure that these incidents were singular events.

Really nice, clean boutique hotel in perfect location. The only complaint I have is the check out time was ridiculous and not flexible at all...11:00 am. Also, the bed linens were pretty skimpy. Would be nice to have a thicker quilt and better pillows. Luckily, it was not cold so it didn't matter as much but not comfortable bedding at all!

Everything was as good as I expected. We have been here before.

The "Queen" bed is not Queen size (60"). It was uncomfortable for me and my wife. When I asked the front desk they claimed it was Queen. I measured it, it was 57" wide.

Free clean under ground parking was great. Lots of space to park.
