Clean, comfortable and quiet--just what I needed for an overnight stay. Front desk staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. Also appreciated that it wasn't too expensive. Didn't use the pool or spa but it looked clean and inviting!

This is a very clean place the rooms will vary on upkeep this one needs work. Biggest issue is the beds being hard as rocks and if you stay in the building where the rooms are outdoors the sound from everything outside of the room is very loud.

My only issue with the property was the fact that we had a broken hdmi cable on our television. Other that that the stay was very nice

Well I didn't get my deposit bag,because the girl at the desk said there was a plastic bag covering the unit the tells u when there is a fire she said that we putting on ,I told her im a smoker but I smoked twice and both times I went outside side u can look at your camaras and see that I went outside and the girl with me smokes tapes but she never smoked inside.the girl with me said thst bag was there when we came in.girl at the desk just assumed we did it.i don't smoke inside my house so I don't smoke inside anybodies house I consider the hotel your house.ma ager was gone for a few days I call and they tell me has left allready.i don't want my money back I would consider staying there using the hundred dollars toward staying another night and pay the difference and leave another deposit .so thats a win win fir the hotel.ive always reco.end it your place to my friends when they come and stay.but if we cant resolve this.i probably recommend one of the other hotels its your call.willing to work with u.thank you.

This is a well kept hotel. The room was clean and sufficiently finished. The pool and hot tub looked in good condition-we did not take the time to try them as we were mainly using the hotel to sleep. I would rate the breakfast a C+ or B-. The yogurt machine was just about out and the selections in the breads cabinet needed replenishing. Of the many hotels we've stayed at with breakfasts, this one was okay, but not outstanding. Otherwise I would say it was quite positive.

The hotel was easy to get into and out of. Plenty of places to get lunch and/or dinner; breakfast was included in the price and was the standard fare offered (buffet-style). The room included a microwave and refrigerator. There is a mini store where you can purchase microwave-safe food and drink.

However, it is next to I 80 if you are a light sleeper, I would not recommend this as you will hear a noise. Otherwise it’s a great choice.

The design for the sauna and steam room is peculiar, with nowhere to put your things while in the rooms. It is just down a hall off the lobby, rather than connected to the pool/hot tub area, so you are wandering through the lobby after the steam/sauna to get back to your room. Having said that, I LOVE that they have those - pretty rare. The sauna was amazing.

I really like this hotel. It's well located for my needs, reasonably priced, quiet, clean and the bed is good. Also, I like how I'm treated by the staff. I've stayed there several times and, because of the reasons stated, I'll continue to stay there when they have availabilities. That said, a couple of the rooms I've stayed at recently have looked a little worn.

When i was trying to sleep, there was a fan blowing somewhere that made an annoying sound.

I had a great visit during my time at Best Western Plus Dixon Davis! I stayed at the hotel for 1 week. The staff was pleasant and very professional! I had the pleasure to deal with Constance, Veronica and Violet! The lobby felt like you were coming to visit your favorites relative’s home! Very welcoming! Breakfast was set up well and fully stocked every morning. My room was very clean when I received the room keys. It felt like a studio apartment with the microwave and refrigerator. I will definitely be staying at this hotel again.

Overall a good experience at a great price. My room was clean, the staff were friendly and courteous, there was a decent gym, and a spa. The breakfast was okay. However In my particular room there was a lot of traffic noise from the adjacent freeway.

The room also had an unpleasant muggy smell. I suggest making sure rooms are free of bugs and suggest spraying rooms/carpet with deodorizer so at least there is a pleasant scent as you walk into the room. Especially if carpets are not shampooed frequently.

I've stayed in this hotel a number of times in the past year. It's always been clean and modern and the staff is friendly and competent. The rooms on the interior corridors are quiet even though the hotel is located right next to the freeway - not sure about the exterior corridor rooms. There is also a nice park a couple of blocks away that allows for a very pleasant walk.

The noise from the highway was very loud. There was excessive noise and partying at the pool and at the adjacent apartments. Could not sleep at all.

The hotel is lovely. The pool is absolutely comfortable. I drank my tea pool side this morning in the sun. It was lovely. The only downside is that the hotel is near a busy road and the traffic noise is annoying. The staff is wonderful and charming. They went over and above in meeting our needs. Thank you!

Many children/teens in town for a soccer tournament where out in the parking lot past 10pm. Some set off car alarms. Totally out of control. Cockroaches in the room. Will never go there again.

It is not fair from UC Davis. And it’s very convenient to go around Davis.

Stayed one night and noticed insect bites on my body next day, likely from bed bugs. I would not stay there again.

Didn't have the breakfast, it was not inviting or tasty looking. Dennys was good next door.

The I didn’t like the towels and the swimming pool (wasn’t clean enough) the breakfast mmm so so. but the rest was perfect .

Only issue was I killed a roach. I did report to front desk Representative. Apparently a problem in that area d/t weather. Other than that room was clean & overall service was nice/professional.

I like this hotel because it is very convenient for my purposes. It's right across from a Safeway and is in a mostly residential area. It is easy walking distance from a very nice large park. It is a little older but very well maintained. It also has mature gardens, including the pool area, which is a lovely place to sit and eat breakfast. The breakfast is quite nice with several food options. For those who prefer Starbucks, there are 2 of those close by. The staff that I interacted with were all friendly and helpful. I stayed for 5 nights. I needed to request housekeeping services as those weren't automatic. This hotel is an excellent value in it's price range - clean, quiet and a comfortable bed. One note, it's right next to the freeway. The quietest rooms are on the interior corridor.

I have been an Airbnb/VRBO host for over 6 years. I have hosted over 2200 guests in those 6 years. I have earned SUPER HOST recognition every quarter of the past 6 years. I have to say this is one of the worst Best Western hotels I have stayed in. The staff was rude, the bathroom was dirty. It has really gone down hill in the last few years. Maybe it is new owners. The manager is very un-professional. It is not a hospitable hotel. Very unaccommodating.

Came in really late in the evening. The evening service desk gal who helped check me in was very friendly, smiling and had great customer service skills. It was super late, almost midnight but it was picking up around there and she was keeping up with the pace no problem!

There were significant holes in the sheets and shower curtain. It needs attention.

This place was better than I expected and great area and had an amazing breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Will stay here again when we come to visit friends, and will recommend this place to my family and friends.

My trip started out a little rocky, but the matter was quickly resolved to my satisfaction. The rooms are comfortable and very quiet. The breakfast was great. We would stay again!

It is a small property, my experience was short stay, I did enjoy small bkfst buffet at the property.

I paid a lot of money to stay here. It was dirty. It was very very small. Nothing like pictured.The carpet felt like it was wet due to cleaner or something built up on it. It left my feet black and stained my crawling baby's pants. The curtains in the bedroom were covered in dog hairs. There was garbage behind the couch and nightstands. Bedroom window was cracked. Sliding screen door broken. Wallpaper in the bathroom started peeling off after I showered. The jetted tub was outdated and the faucet and knobs were falling off. The TVs kept lagging and didn't work the last 24 hours we were there. The Wi-Fi was a joke. And the morning after our first night I walked into the hallway to get ice and it REEEKED like rotten food and dirty diapers. I found the culprit to be a garbage can in the laundry room. I told staff immediately and the next day it was still there. I took it out myself. The only saving grace was the pool was nice. I will not stay here again especially at over 200 a night. Best Western Plus is supposed to be better than a regular Best Western but I've stayed at motel 6's that were cleaner than this place. Maybe because I booked thru a third party app they decided to give me the crappiest room they had because I saw other rooms while they were cleaning them and they looked lovely

Pros: right across a Safeway and has enough of what you need to stay. Cons: their text service does not really work. They sent me a few texts saying I can respond with what I need. I told them twice I need an extra blanket but I never heard from them, nor did I get the blanket. I guess I could have solved it if I call the front desk.

This location was easy to find and convenient to where we wanted to be. Other than some confusion about the length of our stay and then not being able to get into our room later on Sunday (our 2nd night) we had a nice stay.

We stayed here while attending a family day for UCDavis. The rooms were clean, convenient to freeway, included breakfast was good with lots of options and continuously refilled. The pool area was nice with loungers and nice sitting areas. Beds were comfortable. Appreciated the coffee and water machines in the lobby and good sized refrigerator with small freezer space and microwave in room. Only downsides were air conditioner was loud and we had ants in the room.

Was there for 3 days very rude and wojjd not even take into consideration for my adukt handicapped friend that was trying to stay focused on the loading up and leaving task we had. . So. Yeah. Disappointed in the msnager and GM who thought it was funny to get to take our money for ada purposes.

The shower tile needs cleaning. It had pink bacteria. Other than that room was in great shape.

Bad: THE PET FEE. What in the world? I stay here with my dogs frequently and its always been a flat fee for the entire stay. This time it was $40 per dog per day. This wss more than the nightly room charge!! Absolutely outrageous. My dogs are clean, quiet, always crated in the room, we pick up after them outside. Maybe instead of charging ridiculous amounts for pets, you should charge extra to the pot smokers. Our room reeeked of both cigarettes and pot. Supposedly it was a non smoking room too! I dont mind paying a pet fee but the amount charged to us was insane. Bet you could not have ever known thwre were dogs in the room. The other bad was that someone had vomited all over the sidwalks out side and that wasnt ever cleaned up. There were piles everywhere that we had to walk by while trying to walk our dogs. Charge them more for clean up. Plus in the morning, homeless people were camped out on the balconies. We spend at least 12 weekends a year in this town with our dogs, and my last review of this property was very good. I just canceled all of our upcoming trips to this property and booked elsewhere due to the ridiculous pet fees for clean, quiet crated dogs.

Paid for one night stay online the day before trip. Website did not mention that there was a significant charge for our small dog. We were informed when we checked in that there was this charge. We had pre-paid and it was too late to go to another motel.

I don’t usually review anything unless it was an excellent above expectation experience or a terrible waste of money. This is the latter unfortunately. The first thing I noticed was unsavory looking characters standing around in the parking lots and out side of rooms just staring at us as we were pulling in. Of all the places that I have checked in at this was the first time my kids locked the car door behind me after I stepped out because they were actually scared. I should have left then and there but we were tired & wanted to get dinner and relax. Before I came in I called the Motel to clarify the amount of the incidental deposit. I was told 100 which I didn’t question nor try to talk or negotiate down. Made sure my card had adequate funds available and didn’t think to double check while checking in. Later as I tried to get food the cards declined because they charged more than they said they would. It was a small increase but still it wasn’t the amount that matters it was the deceptive way of doing it. After I had to go to a few other locations to sort things out on our way back in we see some guy literally walking around the parking lot with his shorts pretty much dangling down on his ankles as he strutting through there with out a care in the world buttocks exposed for all to see!! It was freezing cold too! It seems that this place is catering to the working ladies of the night and the customers who visit said ladies. Not a family friendly or clean place at all

This is a great, basic hotel. Nothing fancy, but clean and efficient. There’s a fabulous breakfast included (waffles, pancakes, eggs, sausage, oatmeal, yogurt parfaits, and more); a gym, and a pool and hot tub. Annabel at the front desk was super efficient and helpful.

Very nice room with king bed, small kitchen area with mini fridge, microwave oven, coffee pot and sink. A big room with comfy loveseat for relaxing after a day of watching kids soccer tournament!! There was a nice pool, steam room and sauna that would have been nice to use but not enough time with everything we had to do!! I highly recommend this hotel for your lodging!

Hotels near the campus and downtown Davis where crowded lots of traffic and hard to get out if need to go to Sacramento.Here judt 5-10 mins away and close to the freewsy 80 if needs to be out .

Just booked this to rest during our roadtrip. Cheap and quiet, car was safe in the parking lot. Bed was okay, breakfast was whatever. Staff nice though! Towels and beds definitely can be a lot cleaner but cant complain for less than $100 a night.
