This property is older and located right next to I-80, which makes it easy to access. However, there is no escaping traffic noise and air pollution. It is affordable, but you get what you pay for.

The building had a stench to it. The pool was not available to swim, it was filthy. The refrigerator sounded like a DJ booth. Towels had stains on them. Very out dated with a so called update but I guess that fits the price. Definitely not an 8.2/10 like it stated on the website. Air conditioning worked so that was a plus.

This hotel needs lots of work. Cracks in the walls, ceilings, and bathtubs, blackout curtains only. The pool is closed for the season and it’s June. Towels are stained and thin. Overall look for somewhere else to stay.

One reason I selected this hotel was so that the kids could swim in the pool during the hot days in May, but when we arrived, we saw that the pool was not clean. Lots of leaves in the bottom and top. this was very disappointing. Some things in the room were not in good shape -- the lamp shade, one light was out, the bathroom water tap. The staff was friendly. There was a fridge and microwave in the room. We slept well in the beds. Property was quiet at night.

The vent in the bathroom was crazy loud. There was crud on the floor of the shower.

I never have had to pay for services that I didn’t use. Will not be staying there again. Desk staff told me it wasnt their problem that i booked for 4 nights and changed plans and stayed 2 nights. They charged me anyway. Will never use this hotel again and will not be referring this place.

Toilet was a little bit dirty. Carpet is super old and dirty. All furniture is old. If you want something modern, then that hotel is not for you. I won't go back.

The room was dirty. There was sunflower seeds all behind the headboard hair everywhere that wasn’t ours trash they said there would be a pool. The pool was shut down and staff made us wait until morning. Time to get toilet paper.

The hotel is run down. The bathtub did not drain . The light in the bathroom did not work. Earthquake damage to the walls and ceiling. You will be better off finding a different place to stay.

The gentleman at the front desk was friendly and nice. Broken bathroom light, broken, toilet paper dispenser, large crack in bottom of bathtub, hole in window screen, hole in ceiling, large crack in wall, flattened, and uncomfortable pillows, no room, phone, musty smell in parking lot, dirty carpet in room, thin walls – allowing a lot of noise from neighboring room, broken elevator, no breakfast as advertised, phone number listed in booking didn’t work. The hotel seemed like it was closing or had been closed and they were only a handful of guests.

STAFF WAS VERY NICE AND HELPFUL. THEY GREETED YOU WITH A SMILE AND THE NIGHT ATTENDENT WAS SO ACCOMIDATING.

The staff was very nice. But my pillow had stains; roaches in bathroom; exit door was unlocked over night; hotel very run down.

Nice enough. Check in still has COVID sneeze guards. Freeway noise in our room on third floor near the middle of the building got worse in the morning. Pool was not clean, but it's still pretty cold in Spring. Lots of parking including for trailers. Cheap and cheerful.

I saw so many reviews about how clean and nice it was so I was excited, but when we got into the room… there were exposed wires on the ceiling. Mystery splatters of something on the walls. We got dingy/stained bedding. The door frame has no latch for the door and we had to pull the door in order to trigger the card reader to open at all. Very disappointed, I would have never spent my money here if I had known it would have been that type of experience.

It is very affordable, so you get for what you pay for. But I had a really bad experience with noisy neighbors, couldn’t sleep at all, I don’t have an issue with the room being outdated but there were stains on the sheets and towels and that is not acceptable, they can at least use bleach to wash them. Everything felt so unclean and also their lobby was closed night and morning and they send us through a back door to get to the room. The staff is very friendly and attentive but that doesn’t compensate for the fact that we felt so uncomfortable.

Room card key was given in a used, worn paper sleeve. Booked this room because of reviews that said rooms were clean. Luckily we only stayed for one night. Won’t be staying there again.

Elevator not working , had to carry luggage down two flights of stairs. Room could have been cleaner - dust and cobwebs found in room. Hotel in general was noisy - loud sounds heard at night from the outside.

For the price you can't beat it For a no frills place to rest. My daughter is a student and ucDavis and I enjoy coming to see her often and not paying high jacked up prices other motels charge, especially when there are special events at the college.

There is a great Mexican restaurant (Mr. Taco) next door and a Carl's Junior is within convenient walking distance. The location is convenient to I-80 and the room rates are very inexpensive. This hotel exceeded all of my expectations for a hotel at this price point snd will be my choice for any future visits to the area. 👍

Harry at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating. Room was clean and all facilities and furniture were in great condition. This hotel is well maintained and appears to have been completely renovated fairly recently. This is a great pick at this price point. I'll definitely add it to my preferred list for this area.

For a budget motel, it was everything we needed it to be. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were kind and helpful, and the location had plenty of food options within a 10 min drive.

Room was dirty , bathroom was gross . The toilet had black rings of filth in it. They told us they don’t change linen unless we’ve been there for over 5 days. They give you a hard time for clean towels and extra blankets or pillows. Smells musty in the main entrance like a nursing home. Smells like smoke in the halls and elevator. The TV remote doesn’t work properly the buttons are all stick.

Front of house was super nice but it seems like the clearers only make the room look nice. They make the best and restock soaps. However, they don't sweet or mop anything. I found trash under everything and even found a pill of some sort under the table.

No se dejen enganar, no es hotel super 8 es un gran hotel, limpio con cuarto espacioso, bano exelente, AC muy bueno, parqueo y muy cerca de la salida a la carretera, a 12 minutos de Davis University, el edificio tiene 3 niveles y un buen ascensor, en general me gusto mas de lo que me esperaba y a mi esposa tambien. Precio justo, no incluye desayuno.

The disappointing aspects inclueded: our room had a funky moldy corner, The toilet was stained and made noise every time someone in the hotel flushed the toilet. I requested 4 towels the morning of our checkout and they only had two to give me. There also was no breakfast or even any prepared coffee. Finally, the exterior doors didn’t lock, so it did not feel safe. I guess I shouldn’t expect much from a $100/night room, but I do hope to at least feel safe and not be exposed to mold.

1. Leaking water under sink that my husband slipped on (he was able to catch himself on the sink edge but it could have been been really bad as he is 67 yo) 2. When the sink drain was closed, a bunch of stuff (old skin, dirt, who can tell-??? but really gross) came out from under the drain into the bowl. Needless to say, my husband elected not to shave or use the sink bowl. 3. Really old and ratty towels; rough, stained and edges frayed. 4. Not enough towel sets (large, hand towel, washcloth) for 2 occupants (basically 1.5 sets were there for 2 people in a double occupancy room) so we had to share. 5. Some of the drawers are missing drawer pulls so you have to use your nails to open . 6. Only one regular and one decaf coffee pod for a 2-person room. So I guess only one of us gets to have a cup of coffee that can actually wake us up. So we went down to front desk thinking there might be a coffee machine down there: nope. No coffee machine and we had to walk all the way around the hotel to the other side because they keep the door from the main hallway to the check-in foyer locked. Weird. 7. THE INTERNET IS TERRIBLE and a regular zoom call or Teams call cannot be accommodated.

The staff was very courteous, clearly explaining the stay and guidelines. We liked the property very much; it was quiet around the motel; so quiet in fact that I didn't even realize the highway was next to the property!

The hotel pool has been closed the past two times I have stayed there. Also, there is a fitness room but it was locked too. The bedding has holes and stains as well. The property is non smoking, but there is a stench of cigarettes baked into the walls and carpet in the halls.

My only complaint that I totally forgot to notify the staff of was that it looked like the shower was not completely clean.

A very few amenities, the area was super dark, it almost felt like the building was abandoned. Is was ok just to have place to sleep, but not to enjoy your stay.

Staff was very helpful and nice. Elevator was a huge plus. It was very quiet. Room was clean. There were some questionable electrical practices like spliced cords.

However, the room itself was in poor condition. It felt stuffy upon entry, the floors appeared stained, and there was a visible stain on the blanket. The TV remote barely worked, so we couldn’t really use the TV. The bathroom seemed clean at first, but there was mold on the top of the shower, and most of the towels had yellow or brown stains—only one was usable. Lighting was awkward due to a timer switch, and the ceiling had visible holes. Overall, the room felt unclean and neglected. We wouldn’t stay here again.

The room did have an unpleasant smell that lingered throughout my stay, which was disappointing. As someone who reserved a handicap-accessible room, I was surprised to find a standard tub with grab bars instead of a walk-in shower. While this wasn’t a major issue for me, it could be problematic for someone in a wheelchair. The ice and vending machines were conveniently located down the hall. The lobby was welcoming with a nice fish tank, and the small gym was a nice bonus. However, the pool area looked like it could use some maintenance and cleaning. Overall, it was a fair experience, but there’s definitely room for improvement—especially in accessibility and room freshness.

Rooms were horrible. For one room, the toilet was extremely dirty with mold. The lock was coming off. The beds were super hard. I had seen the bad reviews and was hoping it would be like the good reviews described it. Would not recommend at all.

I had been driving for hours, and was extremely tired. I wanted to check in early to sleep. I was told that I could check in 30 minutes early, but at other establishments; I was able to check in at 12 vs origunal check in time. I didn't even get to stay until check out for the following day. I think that sometimes accomodations are necessary. I would rather get my money's worth, especially if I'm only staying for a few hours.

The price was cheap but I did have to get my tools out and I fixed the door latch lock the bathroom door would not close so I adjusted it so that it would close properly because I had my two daughters with me as well but other than that it was ok

He said to come back. I messaged hotels.com and they called him and allowed me to check in, it's 33 0 pm now. How come I can check in now?? It's such Bull!! I wanted to cancel it now, but they won't allow me. Not even any compesantion! I left and never stayed in the room after I went to look at it. It smelled old and looked like it was straight out the 80s.

Everything out side the room was clean and new. But the room itself was really run down. No light in the bathroom so we used our phones. Fridge didn’t work iron didn’t work. Maybe just get rid of fridge, iron and microwave if it frees up some cash for light in the bathroom. That would be a better business decision in my mind

For a budget price motel it was a good value. Clean, easy check-in and check out. The property itself is a little rundown, and there was a sizable crack in the wall of the room. other than that everything was fine in the room. The property is close to the freeway, but I didn’t notice access noise.

So of course the property is inexpensive so you get what you pay for. Unfortunately the bed was really firm I'd say hard not comfortable at all. I had issues with the toilet the bathroom and the room itself very very outdated. Keep in mind the front desk closes at 9p.m. so I'm not sure if they even offer late check in. Lastly they don't offer any type of breakfast refreshments not even coffee. I will say it was fairly quiet during my stay even though it's close to the freeway.

They refused to give me any when i finaly complained Could not get through to my room after 8pm on phone no refreshments or place to relax in lobby .no screens on windows watery shampoo shabby carpet and furnature. .

This room was affordable and clean but there were some serious issues. The air didn’t work at all and we had to leave the window open. It was, of course, very loud. The fridge didn’t work at all. The hairdryer didn’t work, nor did any of the plugs on the right side of the room. The washcloths, towels, and carpet were really stained. You can’t get to any of the rooms through the front of the hotel at night, and I don’t think that any of the side doors actually had to have a key to open. It worked for us because we were barely in the room, but if somebody is going to stay there for several days and spend a lot of time in the room, this is probably not the place for them.
