The room I was given had not been cleaned after the last guest had checked out. The floor was sticky, as I had to peel my shoes off with every step; the showers had some sort of built-up residue; the counter tops/microwave were not cleaned, as they had gunk on them; and lastly, the sheets were used and crinkled, with a lovely toenail in the center. After I tried to get a refund, I was offered two different rooms with varying degrees of uncleanliness. I understandably did not accept either and instead insisted on my refund. They denied me, and I left as I figured I was not getting anywhere with the staff. You also only get 1 parking spot. If you can help it, I would stay elsewhere. I had just driven for 6 hours; I was not in the mood to deal with any of what unfolded. The extra 100 dollars for a different spot is worth it. Enjoy your stay in LA!

The new room was clean. Only thing there was mold on the ceiling of the shower. Also noticed it around the windows. That is something they need to correct before someone gets sick.

What I liked about this hotel was the attention to detail that went in to cleaning and maintaining the property. The room was very clean and orderly. Also the check-in manager was very friendly and helpful. It's obvious that the hotel is managed with care and a focus on an enjoyable and satisfying customer experience. Highly recommended.

We especially liked having access to the pool during the hot weather, and the location was convenient for our plans. The pool area felt a bit dated and was mostly shaded by late afternoon, so it got chilly pretty quickly after 5 PM. Parking can also be limited when the property is busy, and guests may need to park toward the back of the lot.

Booked this hotel last minute as our typical accommodation was completely booked for the weekend. It’s always a bit nerve wrecking booking a new stay as someone who is pretty particular about accommodations. Doesn’t have to be a 5 star hotel, but clean at minimum. Unfortunately, this hotel dropped the ball completely in that area. Upon arrival, the remote had a sticky, red residue on it. Which is an indication that housekeeping did not wipe down the remote which is pretty concerning. The shower wasn’t cleaned properly & the toilet seat had a brown colored substance on it. As I mentioned previously, the star of the hotel isn’t as significant, but it should atleast be clean and comfortable for the guests. We were very disappointed in our stay. Cleanliness is very important and I truly hope that this is something that’s addressed with housekeeping. The price we paid was not at all worth it. I would agree with a previous review that this is somewhere to book if you only need an emergency stay for a few hours, definitely would not book overnight.

I checked the room and it smelled cigarette so I canceled it. The front desk clerk also checked the room and he agreed with me so he did cancel the reservation on the spot.

The staff offered exceptional service! I stayed 1 night, checked out... but didn't complete my business in the area so I booked a 2nd night. His personality was professional and very pleasant and friendly. My room was exceptionally clean and fresh! Parking was very accessible right outside my room! I will stay again ... and will definitely recommend this location to others!

The air conditioning was a bit weak when we first turned it on, it did get cold in the room eventually after a few hours but yes in short it did work!

There was an incident is the parking lot where a man got angry at his wife/girlfriend and as she was walking in the parking lot, he sped his car thru the lot with tires squeeling loudly. He yelled at his w/gf to get into the car or he’ll do her and every other mf in this place! Wasn’t very assuring safety wise to witness that.

I was too tired to drive. I show up to that hotel when front desk person told me there’s no room available so I drove off when to the app to search nearest Hotel and I purchased one without knowing that I was there four minutes ago I arrive I told the front desk person did not apologize just gave me a room key and that’s it. Also, the walls are really dirty. The bed was OK.

The lobby was sparse and cold, and smelled bad. The gentleman working behind the front desk was prompt and friendly, but hard to hear behind the thick layer of plexiglass. The room seemed clean enough, though showed signs of wear and tear. The air conditioning unit worked and we rested well. Overall this met our needs for a quick one night stay over for a conference in the area.

The room was horrendous, the walls were dirty the carpet was sooo gross, I didn’t even want to walk around with shoes on. The bedding was cheap and thin!!! I slept the entire night in a sweet suit and I cover the pillows with clean T-shirts I had so my face wouldn’t be bare on the pillow.

I asked front desk if I could get cleaning service twice. I did not get a service my whole time staying here. I had to ask for things myself and room was poorly cleaned and that’s bc we paid extra to check in earlier

Upon arriving I was greeted by the staff onsite. Friendly quick and easy to check in. Upon entering the room everything was clean. Bed was comfy. The pillows could be but more comfortable but all in all it was a good night. I will say on hot days maybe start the AC so it’s not to hot when guest walk in. It took some time for my room to cool down after a warm day. I loved the walk ability to the restaurants and movie theater. 24 hr fitness was right behind as well. Walmart was very close by. My only note is parking is limited and so was street parking. Once you get a spot stay there and walk over to the restaurants and theater near by. Good stay.

I definitely feel like they overdid the photos online because it doesn’t look like how it does on photos when you go in person. It was clean, refrigerator and AC did work and it was an okay stay i won’t be coming back but, if you need a place to stay i’d say why not.

Me and my family enjoyed our stay . The only thing is I wish the TVs were updated so we can watch a fire stick.

Pool was closed despite being the hottest week of the month 98’F, there were stains of what looked to be mold in the restroom door. To top t all off my spouse seemed to be bitten by bed bugs horrible experience would NOT recommend to anyone.

The front desk guy with glasses tall Indian (not being rude) was amazing he was so nice so sweet when I went to go check in Friday night he made my stay amazing and he evening offered me water and gronola bars such an amazing guy!!!

Do not like that I was asked for a $100 deposit after I booked my stay there. Then while we were there the internet went off so we had no television or internet. I couldn’t work from my room or entertain myself with the television. When I called to ask about the internet they said they were working on it. We never got internet back. When I checked out in the morning I asked for some kind of compensation the receptionist told me it wasn’t their fault. Sssooo does that make it my fault? The rooms are a bit run down, but at least they were clean

The buildings itself was dated, but rooms were clean. Bathroom could use more square footage, there was only 1 bath towel in the room when we checked in. We got there early before 2pm after a 7 hour drive so wanted to rest and freshen up before our evening appointment, hotel charged $20 for early check in.

The room was dirty, we found 2 eyelashes, one on the table and another at the wall. One of the bed covers had a burnt hole on it and there was a leak coming down from the bathroom vent that kept dirtying the toilet.

Room was poorly lit for reading or make-up. Interesting mirror with lights around it at sink, but would make shadows as was not very bright, and so makeup was difficult to do. Only lights in room were ceiling positioned incorrectly to allow good lighting for just about anything. It was satisfactory, but not great at all, even though it appears a lot of renovation had been done.

Everything was okay except the carpet. Needs more cleaning or better if it was floor.

It's difficult to sleep because the light from the hallway shines into the room at night. The room smells like a dirty room, and there are dust mites everywhere. My whole family has had respiratory problems.

On top of that, there were very loud people arguing starting around 12:00 a.m. Because of the noise, I was unable to sleep at all. I had an early check-out at 5:00 a.m., and the lack of rest made the experience even worse. Overall, the noise, maintenance issues, and front desk error made this stay very uncomfortable.

Air conditioning works great, everything is with in distance. Walmart, restaurants and the gym. Park is next door.

I booked a specific room, I was given a handicap room and told it was the only one available. I thought no big deal. Except when I went to get ready there’s no outlet in the bathroom and no mirror by the outlet. It wasn’t fun getting ready. There’s a sink which is great if you’re in a wheel chair but able body guests weren’t even a consideration when building this room, so why put an able body guest in it? No counter to put anything while getting ready, no night side light, just overhead brightest lights, the labels in the outdated heat/air were worn off so it was a game to figure out how to get heat. NOT the room or experience I booked and paid for but felt very much like I was given the least desirable, unsalable room because I booked with Hotels.com

The only thing wrong with the room was no soap to wash your hands or no wash towel to take a shower.

Appreciated that the upstair rooms had a secure door to get in. The room itself was okay, the walls are very thing so we could hear the guests next door very early in the morning. The bathtub did look a bit dirty but I believe it was just water stains at this point. Overall can’t really complain for a one night stay.

The staff was great! We arrived too early for check (a little before 2pm) and they allowed us to check in early. Not only that. We had a busy holiday and they allowed us a late check-out (12pm) which helped get us extra sleep. The bed was also one of the more comfortable beds we've had in a long time and it felt like a large king size with minimal movement from my girlfriend at night. I would definitely recommend this place and will likely book again Thank you!

Needs major upgrades. The bedspread was as thin as paper and had what appeared to be cigarette holes in it. The towels were very old and stained. We had to call the manager after a female was banging on a door and screaming for 20 minutes straight at 2am. The police were on scene 2 times for what seemed to be a DV case. I can’t prove it, but there seemed to be drug dealing going on from a couple of rooms.

These guys don’t have in-site security. A fight that started after midnight between a couple (inside and outside of their room) delay for hours and I took till 8:00am or so to them to finally call the police to finish that fight and kick out of the premises that people. I couldn’t even sleep that night due to the screaming and yelling between that couple that last several hours till the cops arrived.

The man at the front desk who checked us in was very helpful and very nice. The location was very good since it was extremely close to Downey Promenade and Kaiser Hospital if your needing to visit or care for a family member in the hospital.

The staff was very friendly! I really appreciated that they called to verify when I sent someone to pick up my things since I was at work during checkout. Even though the person had the key card (which wasn’t working), they still confirmed with me first — that made me feel secure and showed they truly care about client privacy.

We stayed for one night as I had a medical procedure at a nearby hospital. The rooms are clean and the staff was very welcoming and friendly. They offered an early check-in for $20 allowing us to check in as early as 10am. We called for extra pillows and they accommodated us. We would definitely stay here again. There is a deposit of $100 dollars that is returned after your stay.

Let me start by saying the service was amazing at the front desk. The gentleman couldn't have been more kind. I didn't use the pool so no comment on that but overall, the sheets had stains on them and long black hair, so I didn't sleep with the covers, there was hair stuck to the wall in the bathroom, toilet was dirty and there was a used washcloth still hanging over the shower curtain. I suggest new bedding all around and a double check of the rooms, sheets, bathroom, etc...

They don't offer breakfast. Coffee only. Room was dewy. Opening the window helped. Carpet appeared damp. Dirty. Bottom of feet dirty. Nice and responsive staff.

I checked in and about two hours later I checked out. I did not even stay at the hotel. They charge a $100 deposit so instead of calling it Hotel amenities, they call it a deposit so they actual charge your credit card instead of placing a hold on it. I would like a refund if I could get one but not sure ...I got there and there were what looked like 20 year olds hanging out in the parking lot. Also, another person was blasting their car stereo so loud for about 30 minutes and nothing was done about it. The rooms look put together when you walk in; however, there is a musty smell and to top it off, their towels are stained...Not worth it

The staff was friendly but the conditions of the room was not a 4*stay. The room did not smell so good and had to air it out and the tub was not clean and the shower curtain had mold. I was not aware of till the morning and I went to tell the staff and they proceed to clean it and replace the curtain. They were nice but just would not stay there again….😕

The location was convenient and check-in was quick, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the room itself was a big letdown. As soon as I opened the door, it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. I noticed the smoke detector was covered, the towels had hair on them, and the TV remote even had gum stuck to the back. Overall, the room didn’t smell or feel clean, and it made me uncomfortable enough to book another hotel elsewhere. I hope the cleanliness and maintenance can be improved for future guests.

I had a wonderful week-long stay at this hotel, where the suites are immaculate, comfortable, and air-conditioned. The friendly staff is always ready to assist, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The hotel is safe with plenty of parking and is conveniently located near vibrant shopping centers and restaurants, just next to Kaiser Medical Hospital. With incredibly affordable rates, this is truly the best hotel in the area.

it was ok. Served it's purpose. It's a motel set up. No elevator and rooms accessible from outside. Shower head was so bad and needed to be replaced. The room was clean and it was nice that there was a mini fridge and microwave in the room. Downfall was there is no coffee in the room. You have to get dressed and go down to the lobby to get coffee. Decent restaurants in walking distance. Like I said, it served it's purpose but was nothing to write home about.

Our stay was ok. It’s in a good location, kind of in the middle of everything and there is a lot of stores nearby. Room was not super clean. Sheets and shower curtain were stained and I found hair in the “clean” towels AND still in the shower drain. If your stay is just to sleep and be out all day this is an ok inexpensive option.

Internet access was great, staff was very helpful and pleasant. However, it was very noisy, doors slamming, there was a bug in the restroom, and there was an unpleasant smell to the room.

Our internet and cable services didnt work the second day of our stay. I found a hair in the bath towel that was supposed to be fresh and clean. Front desk people attending were very helpful even when things were out of their hands.

The front desk host was cheerful and friendly. The check-in went smoothly. The room was tidy and the bed was comfortable. The pillows were old and lumpy. There was hair on the floors in the room and bathroom. The bath mat towel was a funky yellow- brown color, so we stashed it. The non-skid mat in the bathtub was yellow and falling apart. The bath towels were thin and scratchy. To topbit off, the remote for the tv didnt do anything, so we missed a couple of programs we wa twd to watch.My opinion is that, all in all, they need to make an investment in simple things like pillows, towels and a good cable service.

Beds are too hard, but they did let me check in early. I like that. No food here and the bed is too hard. Other than that, if you don't mind that there's no food or a hard bed, this place is for you. It's near theaters, food places, etc.

We had a great overnight stay at the Studio Inn. The staff is very friendly. An easy check in and check out process. The amenities were good, everything we needed. A huge plus is the area because there are a lot of shops and restaurants, fast food and coffee all within walking distance. This is a great location for a stay of any amount of nights. I highly recommend it.

Third time staying at this location, first time I had an issue with the sheets. The sheets made my skin itch even after a shower and using lotion. Had to remove all the sheets and spray Lysol.

Hotel pretty decent, clean and close by the Downey promenade. Staff is nice but I did have one issue. He assigned me to a room and when I was trying to get in I couldn’t and I heard a noise I tried it again and someone was in the room . Went down to the office turns out I was suppose to be in another room. Other staff did apologize. It was embarrassing but once we got the right room it was fine. Big bed to sleep in and it was quiet .

Comfortable but staff isn’t very helpful and people are loud at night

I love the place

The noise from Lakewood goes straight into the room I was in. The window was against Clarke which has a lot of traffic on the weekends and backs into the strip mall. The noise isolation from the other rooms is not good....I woke up to the neighbors snoring.....

This place has nice rooms for a good price. They have plenty of parking which is great. They are near many stores to shop at as well as dining options.

Bed was very uncomfortable.

Small clean quiet motel. It was definitely better quality than expected. Pride in ownership shows. Perfect for 1-2 night stays on tighter work allowance. A+ to friendly staff room cleanliness. A+ for convenience to walkable mini-mart/food options.

Staff was nice. Air conditioner quit working. They installed a new one in 10 minutes.

The hotel is old, everything are old shower are not clean you can see molde spots, old furniture

It’s clean. But it’s beside a road. Not quiet and windows is not sealed very well for the noise.

Just not what we were expecting

I don’t think I would stay here again
