The room is a very small suite. It would be tight for four people.The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

The location is convenient right off the interstate easy to get to downtown Durham, we did pull up and there was a man taking an afternoon nap on the bench outside, which unfortunately is a more common occurrence than not. I like that you could use your key card to get into the side doors for parking purposes. You didn’t have to walk all the way around the building. The pool is small, but it was clean. Breakfast was OK, but the hours were only until 9 o’clock, having it till 10 just would’ve been a little bit more convenient because we didn’t have to be up and out early in the morning. The main lamp in our room did not work, but there was plenty of other lighting and I did not ask staff to fix it. I also couldn’t get my Netflix to work because I have the Netflix with ads. I’m not exactly sure what that was about but maybe it’s just a sign. I don’t need to be signing into my Netflix.

Our King suite was big and comfy. The firepit outside was enjoyable. The breakfast was really nice with a lot of choices. Would definitely stay again next time we visit our kids.

Perfect location for our plans, parking was easy, room was good size for our family of five. Breakfast was yummy. no complaints. Our initial keycard didn't work so that was slightly annoying having to go back to the lobby after lugging everything up but it was quickly fixed.

Overall, the general condition and staff are fine during our stay. However, the light above the mini bar where is coffee maker is located was out-off order, and still not replaced regardless several repeated inquiries for repair. Basic room service is only upon request.

Hotel was splendid. Clean, had all essentials, I would stay again. Met all our needs and very convenient location to Duke where my husband was receiving treatment. Thanks Again Not much outstanding service all around

Then we started to notice maintenance issues: a pocket door handle about to fall out; no vent fan in the separate toilet room; vent fan in the main shower bathroom that didn't work; peeling wallpaper behind both queen bed headboards; an AC/heat unit that sounded like a small jet engine as it wound up to blow air, and wound down after the (very short) blowing period; a hair dryer that wouldn't hold the attachments b/c the rim was cracked and partly broken off (and the second one they brought up? same problem...). Housekeeping came on the second full day we were there, which is fine, but there was NO signage or info on the tv telling us about their schedule. So on morning 2 we'd used up the regular in-room coffee (not the worst I've had) the day before and had to deal with decaf. Ugh. Made for a very quick trip downstairs to the real coffee at breakfast. BUT when they did come, they replenished the coffee station WITH DECAF! Ach, another fast trip downstairs (thank you, hubby). Would I stay again? Yes, but forearmed with this info.

The rooms are not cleaned on a daily basis- I was told they only clean every 3 days. Which was a disappointment. I chose this hotel because of the pool and the breakfast. The pool and hot tub were great. There was very little food, and the bananas were still very green. This wasn't the Marriott experience I am used to. For the price I paid, this wouldn't be my first choice to return to.

The room was clean. Our first room had a nonfunctional A/C unit. We switched and the other room had no issues. Did not use other parts of hotel. Good location. Restaurants and shopping within walking distance.

The staff was terrible. Long line at check in and the manager came out, looked at the line, picked up some paper and went back in her office. Terrible. They also gave us no information on the wifi. No phone in the room so had to go back down and wait in line. The information they gave me was wrong. Turns out you have to register for Marriot Bonvoy or you can't use the internet. Wifi is listed as free, if I have to give you all of my personal information to use it, then it is not free. Local restaurant was also terrible.

Nice location. Parking is weird and expensive but overall nice experience. Customer service was 10/10.

Breakfast could have been better

I was warmly greeted by Wilmar (sp). She made it so we could check in early and go swimming. The pool and hot tub were refreshing. Maybe she had to dig deep to get us an early room because the room had no lotion, hair dryer Clock or phone. We thought that was a bit weird. The hook for the towel in the bathroom was too high for kids to reach. Donut Ducks down the street was awesome. We enjoyed walking to Freddy’s for dinner. There’s also a Panera near by.

I love everything about this hotel (Springhill Suites). The location with lots of things around to do, the hotel with it's amenities pool and hottub especially my favorite. The breakfast in the mornings are good, nice and clean. Love the rooms beds are so nice and comfortable with plenty of space. Hotel staff are so nice especially the cleaning ladies i had on the 2nd floor (awesome).

Loved it there! Clean, comfortable rooms, super friendly staff. I enjoyed the gym, jacuzzi, and pool. I had to check out early for a work conference, so I didn’t get to sit down and enjoy breakfast, but it looked good. I would 100% stay there again.

Great visit as always. The building and grounds are immaculate. All staff are always friendly and attentive. Restaurants and shopping nearby and some in the same center.

Didnt eat the breakfast. The parking lot is absolutely horrible. Senior Citizens have to walk a country mile to get to the front door. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. We were in 311. Whoever was on the 4th was running and jumping. We called to the front desk and complained. We come to Durham once a month. Family Member has cancer. We come for her treatment. Our 2nd time staying there. We will not be back.

I was very impressed with SpringHill Suites. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was well organized and clean. The beds were very comfy. They supplied shampoo, conditioner and bath wash, which is a plus. Their hot breakfast had a good variety to choose from and it was very tasty! The pool and hot tub were clean and it was a pleasure to use them. There’s always room for improvement. So if I had to mention something, I would have to say that the bathrooms need air ventilation and the TV needs more apps and streaming. I can definitely recommend this hotel to all those folks that are looking for a nice place to stay in this area. At SpringHill Suites you can’t go wrong!!

Room was good, the amenities, (hottub)that were promised weren't met, and was the reason we book hotel in first place and was willing to drive 25 mins to our destinations for the weekend, was definitely an inconvenience.

AC in our room was cold which was great. Bed was a little hard for my liking but the pillows were awesome. Bathroom was clean. Stay here often and will stay again.

Hotel did not give any financial compensation for our difficulty. Stayed four nights. First night okay. Second night temperature got up to 84 degrees.

Mattress and pad soaked. Didn’t find out until 9 pm. Lucky we got another room. The front desk said it happened from the carpet cleaning crew.

The room smelt like smoke and the pillows were dingy looking. It said it had recently been remodeled, but looking behind the toilet the hardware was rusted. The staff was nice.

I would stay there again if I was in the area!

When trying to check out, again staff rude, told me they could't check my charges bcs no system, I understand system is not their fault but the way they were talking to clients, also they told me no wifi was bcs they didn't give me the appropriate instructions.??but not even apologized The room, the breakfast ,and the cleaning and breakfast staff really nice . But you don't feel welxome by the fron desk

I Loved Everything!!!

I began traveling to North Carolina in June of 2024 for business purposes. I didn't know which hotel to choose but, one of my criteria is absolutely a hot tub, and so I picked the Springhill Suites Marriott. I called and verified that they did have a hot tub and it was operable. Got there and it was amazing. The temperature was just right, nice and warm. The room, the area where the pool was, was nice and warm. But more importantly, the people were nice and warm. More specifically, Alonzo and Yashica. They're welcoming spirit and friendly personalities prompted me to use the same hotel when I came back. Anytime I come, all is well. They actually remembered me, which is a testament to their customer service and genuineness. Their personalities are warming and inviting. This is my place every time I visit North Carolina!

Sometime in the early morning (when I was up showering) the hot water went out and never came back. The staff was amazing and the hotel cleanliness was impeccable but the lack of hot water was awful.

Everything was great! Love how late the pool is open. Just wish breakfast was served a little later on the weekends... or at least let it stay open while there is still food out. Also wish coffee was avaliable all day or at least until lunch time.

The only reason I booked at this hotel was for the pool and the hot tub. The pool, hot tub, and fitness room were “temporarily” closed. And of course, I was not able to cancel without still paying for the room. They should be required to post online when they know those amenities are going to be closed for more than 24 hours.

The hotel is fine. I'd say it's what you expect for a 3 star stay. The staff is very nice, but they seemed to be understaffed when we stayed, as there were a couple of time when I couldn't find anyone at the desk/in the lobby when we needed something.

Just a one night stay. Room was very nice. Personally, didn't care for the set up with the toilet room having a very small sink and weird small mirrors. Not very functional when you're trying to get ready and there is someone else in the room with the bathtub/shower.

The alarm testing twice over two days of our short stay.

The next morning we received a call and moved. The second room was much better but the smell was still there. I’m assuming the hotel itself just has a bad smell. Aside from that our stay was good. I’d book again if I had to. The service was great!

It was very nice and quiet. The evening staff that checked us in and the bartender were amazing. The staff on duty in the morning were not as nice nor considerate to us. On Wednesday morning when we checked out, the young lady on duty was also very kind and courteous to us. It was a very nice hotel, centralized to where we were visiting our family and to places that we needed to go. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Just a stop on our way home from the DC area. It was an excellent stop with many amenities close-by. It was a bit of a drive but we visited the state capitol the next day.

This hotel is well kept & clean. Desk staff is friendly & helpful. Breakfast is good- eggs, potatoes, & meat, along with cereal options. You- make waffle machines available, but in bad shape. Shopping is close, some within walking distance. Desk has a list of restaurants in the area. I recommend you ask them for local places instead of chains to enjoy area specialties.

Staff were friendly and accommodating. Room was a good size. Separate shower and toilet arrangement was a little weird. Decor/furniture was a bit dated and there were maintenance issues: sink drains were both slow/backed up easily, shower pressure was mediocre and took a long time to heat up, one of the bathroom light fixtures had fallen out of the ceiling and was hanging by its wires.

ALL staff were friendly, polite and hospitable. Room was very clean. Room is set up in a way that the toilet closet is right in front of beds. This was very awkward. Mattresses are very hard.

The staff were working very hard and helpful but not given the right tools to make a difference. Ex. There were not enough plates and bowls for breakfast bar. They were washing them constantly so ppl could eat. The front desk did not have keys to pool area so when whoever locked the doors the guests were unable to use facility and the cleanup crew was unable to clean area and reload towels.

The location is in a very environmentally open area with access to entertainment and shopping. The hotel itself was amazing. Breakfast selection is upscale different than any other continental breakfast buffet. Staff were very pleasant and informational. I’ll definitely be back.

Nice facility fits my needs & expectations.

We picked this place because we had stayed before and because it had a pool..the pool water was freezing, not oh its cold and we could get use to it. No we used it once and because it was so cold the kids were all in hot tub so that wasnt relaxing either.
