We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The room was only cleaned once; despite our requests. Room cards fail multiple times and had to replace several times. The cards could not access the exercise room. When we checked in, we recognized that the charge was higher than our reservation. After we raised the issue to the staff, they (more than one staff) told us that the differences or overpayment will back to our credit card after we check-out. But when we checked out, the staff only refunded part of the differences. We still paid more than our reservation. At the check-out, the staff told us a different reason for the overpayment and insist nothing they can do about the overpayment. Though we are generally happy with the facility, the staff at this hotel was not helpful at all. We could not get them to clean our room. And we were told different stories on our overpayment. We doNOT recommend this hotel. And we will share our experiences on travel websites. See above.

The rooms in this hotel are in desperate need of renovation, walls and corners in bathrooms were unclean, carpet and sofa unpleasant. Bed linens were good and the location was perfect for our trip so we continued with our stay, plus the front desk staff were awesome.

We were in room 336. Dry large 1 bedroom but the room smelled musty and urine, gross smell every time we entered, breakfast as ok, barely had any fruit and would put out 1 pint of blueberries and say they were out, could have been much better

This place was terrible!!! Manager Kim b sold my room for an uncharge and canceled my reservation last minute on graduation weekend leaving my husband and four children stranded. Their customer service was unprofessional and inconsistent. I was lied to that I canceled the room when that never occurred. Do not stay in a place where they do not value your business.

The bathrooms in this hotel need a very thorough cleaning. Scrubbing, bleaching etc. It made me wonder how truly clean everything else was. The breakfast though was very good and the food area looked clean. The rooms were large and the location just of I 40 between chapel hill and Durham was very convenient.

Yes the room was roomy and well stocked in the full size fridge/ freezer, dishwasher with cleaning agent pack, comformable clean bed, peacefull location, well lit area, great breakfast and pleasant staff. I would gladly stay again for another round of a peaceful get away weekend.

Staff was very friendly. I wish I could post pictures. The rooms definitely need updating and better cleaning. There were dead bugs in all of the areas between the walls and the furniture. I mean at least a hundred or more. Nothing like bed bugs, but still disrupting. Along with the dead bugs, tons of cobwebs. The room had a funky odor. When I looked under the bed there was empty Gatorade bottles and someone’s sock obviously from a previous stay. Will not stay here again because of these issues..

The staff member was very kind and was also dealing with another leak. We had to move rooms. I was disappointed that they didn’t offer a room upgrade or to replace some of our stuff that was damaged. We were just moved and had to dry all our wet clothes

The room was clean and people were friendly. However I paid for a King bed and we received a single. They tried to tell me it was Expedia's fault. I booked a King suite. I know it was a Single bed because I could only fit two pillows tightly on the bed. I have a king in my bedroom and a Queen in my guest room thank you Rosetta Giles

We arrived on what seemed like a busy nite. The staff at checkin was VERY nice and professional but the hotel had a new software update causing problems. Room was clean and bedding/mattress was quality. Bath/shower was super gross. Not sure what was going on but finish on tub was disintegrating. Too tired to switch rooms...another battle for another night. Hallways had food strewn throughout which could be forgiven but was still there from the time we checked in until checkout...12 hours. Honestly for $200 a night I would expect better. Dont take complaint out on staff as appeared to be understaffed. This locations management should take all the blame. Do better

The hallways all smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. The phone in the room didn't work at all. The regular lock on our door didn't work. The shower sprayed water everywhere. The room had a distinct musty smell. The guest across the hall had a dog that barked continuously. The pull-out bed was very uncomfortable. The best part was how nice the staff was.

The gentleman at the front desk was amazing. The obly issues inhad was there were crumbs all throughout the sofa and in the pull out sofa bed and the drain in the tub barely drained.

My booking was for three nights. I was unable to arrive until the early morning of the second day. The staff would not allow us to check-in until after 4pm and also said we were still being charged for the first night, even though they were not letting us into the room. I would be fine with charging us for the room if they let us in the room when we arrived, or telling us they would not charge us for the room, but we would have to check in after 4pm. But charging us and also saying we cant check in until after 4pm is ridiculous. Would not deal with them again.

Room was as expected as we've stayed numerous times at this configuration of hotel. On the plus side, Im glad we were not charged for the extra night we booked but missed bc the airlines cxld our flight (so we were there only 2 nights not 3). However, on the negative side, 1) our room was never cleaned 2) Brand of coffee in the room was significantly less enjoyable than the coffee in the lobby (and thats really saying something) 3) breakfast selection was okay, not great, not horrible

Overall the stay was for an emergency and a last minute booking - so it fit the bill. It was a bit run down and the daily housekeeping was less than desirable - sometimes the beds were made, sometimes not; sometimes the coffee was restocked, sometimes not. The pool was closed and with 3 kids hoping to swim after a long day sitting in the hospital waiting room each day was very disappointing - no indication it would be closed or any solution offered. The front desk staff were very nice.

The hotel staff made sure to take my non-refundable payment before informing us that the pool is closed for our entire reservation, which was one of the main reasons we booked there. When I asked for a refund immediately after paying, he said they couldn't do that. I booked through Expedia and they got one night refunded.

The bed was fine—albeit with the usual “mound” in the middle from most people sleeping on the sides. And the breakfast was fine. But they called me only a few hours before check-in to tell me one of the 2 queen rooms I had reserved was unavailable. They “upgraded” my son and me to an accessible king with a pullout bed. (Since my son is a grown man and he didn’t want to sleep with me, he took the pullout.) I should have gotten a call sooner. I would have cancelled.

It was a nice spacious room and very quiet. Kitchen was a little dated but clean. Oddly they don't stock toilet paper in the room so I almost ran out and had to get an extra roll. Overall a very nice stay, very nice staff, excellent breakfast with a lot of fresh fruit which is great.

Nice clean room but small. Breakfast wasn’t replenished and not much variety from day to day. The evening reception was a good addition but would have been nice to know in the morning what was on the menu for the evening snack.

Staff didnt seem particularly happy. didnt see a single smile from anyone all weekend. Didnt get a "hello" at any time when we entered. Everyone seemed to do a good job. The fridge in the room makes a loud noise, needs to be repiared.

The amount of space in the room was great. The room was old and in need of better quality maintenance. One example was the messy caulking over mold/mildew in the shower.

This was a suite and drapes from the kitchen area could have Been moved to the bedroom but they refused so I had to unhook and move the drapes myself. They offered no discount or help. Unacceptable to allow a bedroom with no drapes

The room was decent for the price. For breakfast its better to just go to a restaurant. The under part of my sink was falling apart and looked a ness and the bed wasnt the most comfortable. I was inky there for one night. But I wouldnt stay again.

My room was immaculately clean and roomy. Front desk personnel were super polite. Bed was wonderful. Had their included buffet breakfast the morning before i left. Lots of healthy choices. Would definitely stay here again. I am a female traveling solo and the area felt very safe. They have many cameras they keep an eye on.

I didn’t like that it was difficult to ask for an extra blanket and pillows for the pullout bed. It took staff a long time just to find one and for me to go back down and grab it from the front desk.

Great hotel and staff. Our suite was a good size for 2 people - very comfortable. I was amazed by all that was provided for our stay. Breakfast area was roomy and had good offerings.

We arrived at 11:45pm. And we got our keys and noticed our door had a “DO NOT DISTURB” sign on it. So we thought “maybe they just forgot to take it off from the previous.” NO. We walked in on a poor woman sleeping at midnight. I have a video for proof.

While I appreciate the large bed I am short in height and it was difficult to get in and out of the bed.

I could not cancel this booking with you . I made it by.mistake. It's a bad place right now. Staff was leaving. No linens. Regula did NOT STAY there but was forced to pay by Expedia. Dangerous currently.

Nice economical hotel in great location

I booked a 2-bedroom suite and was given a 1 room suite but not told that at checkin. They didn’t have a 2 bedroom suite available so we switched the second night. I called for a late checkout and was told 12:30 then got a call at 11:30 saying they don’t have a late checkout and we needed to be out. Obviously we couldn’t be out by 11. They called multiple times to get us out.

From check in to check out our stay was perfect. Dinner offered when we arrived and a great breakfast before we left. Will definitely stay again when our next visit to Duke comes up.

Charged multiple times on incidentals card after payment was already made in cash. Card was ran a total of 6 times for different amounts every time. 3 of which were amounts that exceeded $500. Card should of never been ran for any amount.

I like that the rooms had a kitchenette. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was good. The room was clean.

Welcoming staff and spacious room. Very comfortable home base. Had a strong smell of detergent that made me think that the carpets must have been recently shampooed.

The shower water pressure was outstanding! And finally, the beds were so comfortable. The only ris that there are no ice machines anywhere in the building (nor are there any soda machines). The only access to a cold beverage is a 20 ounce bottle for $3.

Overall, the hotel is a decent value for the money. But since it's a mid-range hotel, everything about it was mid-range. It's an older building, and the hallways smell weird. Some of the furniture in the room was really disgusting, and I didn't even want to set anything down on it. The breakfast was the typical free breakfast. Adequate and expected.

BUT neither TV worked satisfactorily. One LG had a flickering screen, only intermittently viewable; the other only would give access to music channels. I got my Roku to work with the second one. I notified front desk for their information, but didn't want the hassle of a fix.

Accommodating staff

We were very happy with our stay here. Was only for one quick night with our family if 6 but we now know to look for Staybridge in our future travels. Having the 2 separate bedrooms and 2 separate full baths was awesome! A full kitchen and living room was exceptional. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was outstanding! Rarely does one find bacon at the free breakfast but this hotel had bacon and even omelets. My husband talked about this hotel for a couple days! Lol. We will certainly be staying at Staybridge suites from now on when available. Thank you for going above and beyond as a hotel.

This place was perfect for our weekend. I loved that there was a separate kitchen area. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. I also loved the breakfast served downstair - was definitely a life/time save! Also there are so many shops and other restaurants in the area. Will definitely come back and recommend this property.

Staff were slow to help. Asked for some decaf coffee for the room, they didn’t have any at the front desk and they never brought it up. Had to wait at the front desk for help numerous times while staff conversed with other staff.

It was a clean property, they just had a wedding going on till very early in the morning. The music was exceeding loud, luckily we had ear plugs and were able to go to sleep. We could still feel the vibration from the base.
