Hotel under reconstruction

Hotel smelled like a fun mix of a vets office and Woodstock, everything in the room was stained. Hair was stuck to all of the towels and wash clothes, the bedding and chairs were stained, sprinkler system had a bag over it. Would not recommend to anyone. Place had “under construction” signs up but it was clear nothing was getting fixed.

The property was worth the price.

Parking was adequate, check in was easy and the attendant was friendly and accomodationg. This is another example of an hotel, of which ther were several in the neighborhood, that were new 20-30 years ago, and were "starship, first fleet" then and now are in there second or third reiteration/reincarnation with sloppy paint jobs and band aid cosmetic repairs. That being said, it served the purpose of a one nite solo stay. The bed was comfortable. The TV did not work. I mentioned it to the attendant as I checked out and he apologized for that. I am confident that he would have rectified the situation, if I had pointed that out to him sooner. Given the price and convenience, I would not complain. It is what it is.

Went there first room they gave me keys for the room was trashed went back got new key cards for another room got up there checked the beds (I always check for bed bugs at hotels etc) and one bed looked like someone was murdered on it.it appeared to have blood stains on the whole bed , the other bed had literal garbage between the box spring and mattress and there were crumbs and dirt. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable

Room size was adequate, not enough towels, no coffee, hallway rugs not vacuumed, no deadbolt on door, no Kleenex In room or bathroom, bathroom wall and doorway wall had hand punch holes.

Keeping in mind this is a budget option, we were not disappointed. Pillows could be better. That’s my only complaint. No bells and whistles but that’s what you’re paying for. Tv and wifi worked very well. Gentleman at desk was a man of very few words.

This place is an absolute nightmare! I had to switch rooms three times. The first room they put me into, the shower was covered in black mold. The next room they’ve moved me into was filthy dirty the floors were disgusting. The third room they put me into had not been cleaned and the maid asked me to change the sheets on the bed!!!When I asked them for clothes hangers, they told me they did not have hangers. After I looked at him and said this is a motel, correct why would you not have hangers? Miraculously two appeared. The bathroom was disgusting. The shower was stained. The shower curtain was stained, and the toilet was not connected to the floor completely. Needless to say me and my partner went to a local CVS and bought cleaning products to clean our own room. I plan on filing a formal complaint. This place should be condemned!!

The negatives: There was never anyone at the front desk all weekend. When I arrived at 6 pm Friday, I waited 20 minutes (and pressed the call button) and I could not find anyone to check me in. I did not have my cell phone with me and thus could not call the number that was there as an alternative. NOTE bring your cell phone. I do think the front desk person uses that phone when he is…wherever he is. After dinner the call button worked and I got checked in. The next negative is not a front-end problem, but rather (I think) an Expedia problem. My room description stated that breakfast was provided. That is absolutely not true. In fact there is not even coffee in the hotel. No coffee makers in the room and none in the lobby. I found a nice local diner and got myself caffeinated in short order. Finally, the internet is free, but extremely unstable. It cut out every minute or so.

The hallways are smelly. The Room and bedsheets are smelly and look shabby. The Towels are not very good and of poor quality, very thin and the wool is coming off and sticking to the skin. Horrible to use. There is no coffee in the room, no coffee in the lobby and of course no breakfast. And they don't service your room for 3 nights of stay.

There was nothing to like about the establishment... I didn't like that there was Vomit all over the furniture and my television didn't work and they had no other rooms to offer me !!!

The property clearly hasn’t been updated since 1970. They’re in the middle of a renovation so everything is ripped apart and there’s no mention of that anywhere on their site. I couldn’t even sleep because I was so nervous about sleeping in my room. I watched TV all night and then I left.

The main entrance of this property smelled horribly of weed. Our bathroom door had to be lifted to close and there was water dropping from the ceiling in bathroom.

This is a dump hotel!! Not only disgustingly dirty and foul smelling, there are questionable activities going on in the hotel. DO NOT STAY THERE!

Booked a room on short notice. As soon as you walk in the room there is a pungent odor like cigarettes,sweat and body odor. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting there was fecal matter smeared on walls throughout the bathroom sink and toilet were stained. The front desk person was a decent guy but he was never around and when I mentioned the condition of the room he seemed indifferent. There is also a large number of people either on substances or in recovery occupying the premises at any given time. 0/10 would not recommend!

Absolutely horrible. As soon as we walked into the room we saw stains everywhere. Hair in the bathroom, electrical outlets hanging out the wall, crumbs on the bed, stained bedsheets…everything was just stained. Windows weren’t locked and the bathroom tub was filthy. I checked the mattress and it had this huge brown stain on it and it looked like residual of bed bugs. We stayed maybe 5 mins before telling the manager that we want a refund and that we will be leaving due to it being so dirty. I contacted Expedia asking for my refund and they ignored Expedia and when I called asking for my refund the desk worker hung up on me two times. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to a homeless person.

The laundry machine was broken, staff was alright. My key kept being deactivated. Got questioned about smoking in rooms, which I didn't do. The price was right, room was clean.

When I checked in everything is fine, the desk clerk notified me I would be getting towels shortly. I checked in and waited for about 40 minutes and still nothing. I went back up and the same clerk he would be getting one right now. Never showed up. There never really was anyone by the desk when I would leave for the day. Pretty much, I showered with a hand towel that was in the room for two days. The last night, I went to bed and about twenty minutes later I felt something crawling on my left hand. I get out of bed, turn on the lights and saw a cockroach on the bed. This was at midnight and due to the fact that I never saw anyone at the desk, I felt pretty helpless. Slept on the far end of the bed, because I did not want to sleep on the floor. Respectfully, I am thank for the previous stays, but I am trying to find another hotel within the area. If the hotel manager is reading this, please check room 129. Thank you.

Often my physical type seems to cause negative treatment, based on assumptions of negative stereotypes about my physical type. I will say it’s a great price, with safe parking, partly due to “low walkability”.

No accessible door. There was an empty Pepsi bottle in our room and no light bulb in one of our bedside lamps. There was a large water bubble on the ceiling above the bed, the heater was falling apart

Overall it felt unsafe to stay in the building. They have signs that they are undergoing renovation but outside of seeing things that need to be addressed (e.g., bathroom ceiling caving in, visible water damage, walls that need patching, items falling off of the wall, mechanical items in what should be the breakfast area) we did not see any active renovation. Overall, the building didn't feel, appear or smell clean. We purchased towels and pillows from a nearby Walmart to take a shower and sleep. The smell was a combination of a pet store, smoke and dryer sheets.

Stains on the carpet next to the bed comforter had a stain on it as well as the sheets. Strong smell of marijuana throughout the hotel we stayed an hour and a half long enough to get ready to go out then we left and got a different hotel.

The hotel itself wasn’t bad and well worth the money except for the fact that when people flush the toilet upstairs I assume it was the toilet approximately 1/2 gallon of water dumpy out of the ceiling right in front of our toilet. You can tell it has been doing it for a long time and they still rent out the room.

Staff interaction was okay, but not stellar. The hotel common spaces smelled like smoke. In the room itself, the space was worn down with stains on the couch, stains on towels, and unfinished spots on the walls, crack/damage on bathroom door, etc.

Staff is always amazing. There have been a lot of upgrades done on the property. They try to make sure all your needs are met.

It was decent for the 6 hours we spent there while passing through, but definitely needs some work. The bathroom door was broken as was the extra lock to the room door. It also had a funky smell.

Staff is always fabulous. Rooms are always comfortable & clean. They do their best to give you specific rooms if requested. We stay there at least once a month, & we will stay again when in the area.

The room door was off set because the top hinge was so loose making it difficult to close. Also the safty latch used in case someone has a key was broke. The bathroom door must have been kicked in in the past and the door hasp was completely missing and because of the door being busted wouldn't close or even stay closed. The hotel 2nd floor smelled of marijuana all the time. The tv remote only worked sporadicaly since the batteries inside are so corroded there wasnt even silver showing for a good connection. There was someone with a dog near our room barking at all hours of the night sometimes. The room where you would sit for coffe and donuts in the morning was filled with Air Conditioners making the entry area smell. I was bit by some kind of bugs at night leaving me with bumps and itching. I'm assuming bed bugs but I didn't see what they were. I've been in alot of hotels and I must say this is in my top 5 worst I've been too.

I stayed at the Syracuse Inn 2+ yrs ago, when they first took over the Super 8 & doing a lot of construction. I thought it was in good shape for doing all of the work, but I had a cockroach in my room & I was a little upset. So, I've stayed in Syracuse a dozen times in the last 2 years, each time passing on staying at the Syracuse Inn. This time, I said its been 2 yrs & I only needed one quick night, so I booked the Syr. Inn. I was there 45 mins when a small cockroach came out from under the desk. I was upset - could not believe it, and then I killed the bug. Middle of the night, I got up to use the bathroom and another cockroach was near the desk. It quickly went under & I couldn't believe it. Also, the bathroom had a huge puddle in the middle of the floor from a ceiling leak and the shower floor was pretty gross. Towels ALL had some sort of stain on them too.

This hotel not only couldnt find my hotel reservations that I pre paid but I had to book another hotel in the middle of the night and didnt even offer us another room and we are from outta town not only did I not get my money back but what if thats all I had I coulda been homeless for the weekend in the cold with my husband but I dont play that 0 stars

The place was extremely run down. Almost walked out but it was late at night when I checked in. Holes in bed sheets, cracks in the walls and ceiling, hole in the door, tub was dirty, appliances looked beat up. Wouldn't recommend staying here.

They are very helpful & work hard to make your stay pleasant. We are mobility-impaired & they try to give us a room close to tbe entrance & on the ground floor. We hsve a favorite room, & they try to make sure we get that one whenever possible

The room was okay. My towel had something stuck to it that would not come off. My tub looked like it needed to be cleaned so i had to lay an extra towel on the floor to shower comfortably. There was a drinks vending machine but it only had one flavor of soda in it so no water which for me is VERY essential. And the hotel attendant tried to tell me he didnt see my reservation at first until i stood firm and showed him my reservation email. There was also something on my pillow so I had to cover it with a piece of my clothing before putting my face on it

If you need a place to stop for the night this is fine. Definitely needs some updating and tlc but for the price it’s good for a night

This hotel was unsafe, and the conditions were absolutely terrible. Windows were broken doors wouldn’t even close. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. Bedsheets weren’t even changed and the smell of the rooms were absolutely horrid. We felt like we were in a horror movie we end up turning the keys the next day not even saying the next day. This motel was labeled as newly renovated, but it was just a Band-Aid slapped on top of wreckage. Beware do not book this place.

Positives: The family running this place is extremely nice and provided great, prompt customer service. There were many nice people and families staying here. It's clear they are currently renovating the property. There are many other hotels in the area full of families, so the area feels safe. Downsides: the current decor is subpar; my shower screeched when in use; you could push the door open an inch without the use of the key (alarming!); and there are very few amenities: no fitness center, water or coffee in lobby, no safe, tissues, glasses, ice buckets or coffee makers in room, etc. This got the job done but it was definitely not fancy.

Made a last minute decision to stay at this location. Pictures looked great. But inside was a whole different story. They said they were undergoing renovations so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Bathroom had no toilet paper and one towel. The standup shower had a cracked and peeling floor. And ilwhen you stepped by the drain it kind of dipped down. The WiFi was horrible. Couldn’t connect at all. There were two pillows as flat as a sheet of paper. No blanket or comforter on bed. Just a fleece throw. And the sheets were ripped in the corners. And the door to the room was slanted and had to use a kick or Mr rear end to push it closed. Overall very disappointing and only stayed because of limited options

The interior is being updated but there were multiple issues in my room and throughout the property. There's missing door trim at bathroom door. Peeling paint or wallpaper in the bathroom. The door at the rear entrance is in need of lubrication. There's multiple holes in the walls where shelves or other things were and have fallen out. Poor lighting at rear parking lot. The coat rack on the wall is falling out. The only positive was that the bed was comfortable and interior was quiet.

It's not the Ritz Carlton and you shouldn't expect that. It's a safe location in the midst of a renovation. Close to major highways. Comfortable bed. TV got channels. The door locked. No frills. No fuzz. Quiet, and a great place to stop and rest.

A sweet hideaway without meaning to be one! It is in a very peaceful setting, tucked away from the urban noise of busy living. Management and housekeeping are super friendly, very hospitable, and readily available, but without initiating any disruption of privacy and/or anonymity- making it a great spot for a respite from the hustling amidst the city streets, yet you won’t feel far at all from any downtown events, venues or sightseeing that might beckon you. There is laundry on site, great WiFi, a fridge and microwave in very clean rooms, and a nice little sanctuary-like seating area out back. Again, where I come from, prices like this get you rooms where showers call for footwear, and it’s best to BYOB (bring your own bedding).Clearly I can’t say enough, because the truth is, my stay involved a period of healing and much needed rest. It was an act of a good God that of the many various rooms and rentals surrounding, this place, I ended up in a personal haven that was was just right, without ever breaking the bank. Could it use improvements? Sure, but so could the Hilton so none worth mentioning! I definitely recommend it for the inexpensive cost and for leaving with a grateful heart! Godspeed!

Cons: The outdoors property is NOT maintained and looked abandoned. There was trash everywhere. One window along the driveway was broken and had a bag taped to it. Im my first room the ac never got even remotely cool after a few hours so I requested a different room which was easily granted. Only the AC was bad in this room too! It was cooler OUTSIDE than it got in either room! The mattresses in both rooms were super saggy. The floor had not been mopped since the last person stayed here since there were what I hoped was red fruit punch stains on the floor. The. Bathroom vent fan had a bad bearing and rattled/squeaked very loudly. The doors did not shut well behind you - they had to be forced shut but both rooms had working safety latches which was good since at 1am the second night someone tried to enter my room but was stopped thanks to the latch. A few minutes later the front desk rang the room phone to find out whom was in there since they never recorded changing my room. I stayed for two of the three nights I booked then went somewhere else. It was clean but not comfortable at all. I worried about my truck getting broken into and the final straw was the mistakenly giving a key to my room to another customer in the middle of the night.

Bed was comfortable but room was sparse and has a lot of drywall dust. If you're just looking someplace to lay your head for a few hours, it's serviceable.

Cockroaches in the room. Housekeeping didn't clean the room after the first night. Only provided 1 towel per person, had to ask the staff for clean towels the next day since they didn't clean the room and provide new ones.

I regret booking this hotel with my girlfriend. Pictures are VERY deceiving. Looked like leftover food splattered on walls? Three very small yellowed pillows. The bathroom door didn’t even close and was literally hanging off the wall by weak hinges. Front desk didn’t even ask how my stay was.. or else I would’ve been very honest. I’m usually a budget hotel guy but I would avoid coming back regardless of reasonable prices.

Front desk called to check if I would make it and waited for me so I could check in. Greatly appreciated. Good room at a reasonable price, nice bedroom area, clean bathroom.

The best and worst part of our stay had to do with Staffing. The guy who checked us in could not have been nicer or more friendly! He even asked if there was anything he could do to make our stay more enjoyable. The worst part was that the check in time was the ONLY time that anyone was working at the office during our entire stay. Each morning, a pile of room keys were on the counter when we'd leave each morning. Our room was not cleaned a single time during our four days!

It was a comfortable stay and the key card didn't give me any problems.

Place was dirty very dirty caulking around tub, black broken light fixtures. Bed was held up by blocks a ceiling exhaust fan just barely hanging off the wall, garbage and building supplies around building. Definitely not a place that should be on Expedia. I cannot believe you was being involved with such an Establishment.

We had to request a new room, the first one looked like the door was kicked in, the frame was so loose and the deadbolt wouldn't lock. The inside of the bathroom door was clawed by an animal and only had 2 hinges. Felt unsafe, and when I complained, the guy at the desk was rude and said there was nothing wrong with the door.

Only one of my two rooms was ready at check in. When we finally got the second room it had bed bugs. Then we were told there were no more rooms available. We eventually got one but the whole place was dirty and under renovation. Don’t stay here.

The hotel is a total wreck. The thing entering the room, you have to shoulder the door to have it open all the way, bottom of door needs to be plainer. Next go to use the bathroom, the door would not lock, mechanism is broke. It’s a first floor , checked the windows are secured. The window lock is broken off can just pull the window open. The front desk put 2 screw into the window as no other rooms. I can back to the room at night and pull back the blanket and fitted sheet is ripped. One of the worst hotels motels I’ve stayed in around the world.

When we arrived, there was a broken door in the hallway right outside my room. I think this is from the bathroom door, because there was a lot of debris on the bathroom floor that i had to sweep up as soon as we got in. There were renovations going on, and one of the workers walked right into our room as my partner had gotten out of the shower. When we found a roach in our room, that was the last straw and we left early in the evening.

It was okay but I feel like I want my money back there was a roach crawling on the wall

Hallways Smelled of cigarette smoke and facility is very worn. Room was clean but basic. Price was great though.

In a safe, quiet area. Comfortable bed and pillows. Everything worked. No concerns.

Simple and enough. Nothing special.

Several questionable people stayed at the property. The front manager said they have a contract to take people with "nowhere else to go"

When we walked in, their was stains all over the furniture, mold in the bathroom, the bathroom door was broken among many things their was cigarette burn holes even tho it was a non smoking room and i found a dead cockroach.

Not a bad place to stay at at a reasonable price. No overt odors and the room seemed reasonably well insulated from road noise despite its proximity to major thorofares.

it was snowing the prior date however they had not cleaned up till 3:00PM during my check in, and was still there when I checked out the next day. They offered a room that was used and not ready for another person to come in. The wash basin was broken the TV remote was not working. I could just go on. the staff had an attitude of irresponsibility. there was a thought to sue them, but dont want to go through the hassle, I can forgive almost anything, but still dont understand why they did not clean up the snow, which was now a hazard Never going back here, please dont ruin your trip by booking here.

I almost got killed when the guy from front desk gave me a wrong room key and when the guy with a gun steps out when i tried to unlock “my” room.

I had the worst experience. I was booked for 2 days. I had to leave before check out. On the 1st day numerous cockroaches I was moved to 2 different rooms My first one was on the 2nd floor there is no elevator so I had to carry a lot. Of my luggage up-and-down to be moved to different rooms. Very inconvenmean it and I had to check out before even check out time in the morning because I was so uncomfortable. The guy did not come and look at all. Just told me to shut the lights off and go to the next room where there was more. I have pictures as well I will never be staying again

I liked how helpful the staff was and also how quiet the place was.

It's a great place to stay id stay there again for sure I recommend it to anyone

Qreat affordable place.

The place is very quiet and affordable but it would be better if there is a secure wifi, toothpaste and some cleanliness with respect to cockroaches.

I was greeted by a nice man at the front desk, check in was smooth. The building is being remodeled so some areas are not complete, but the room was clean and perfect for my needs. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet overnight. If you are seeking a motel 6 type of place, this is very similar. I would stay here again.

It looks pretty old in the room, I think it needs refurbishing as soon as possible. And the layout of room is not convenient, no coffee machine. I would avoid staying here next time.

I had a nice stay in this hotel. The hotel was way better than expected for the price. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are good size and the beds are very spacious and comfortable and I would book again.

The room was clean but was was charged a non smoking room and it smelled like a trucker smoked a carton of cigarettes non stop woke up extra stuffy as smoke smell irritates me severely.

This hotel room was incredible dirty. Fan covers were off the wall, bathroom door didn’t close, and bed mattress was disgusting.

I travel a lot for work and stay in extended stay rooms. I can work here without being disturbed. My room is very clean. They have great weekly rates. I feel safe here. Great staff.

The room was very spacious, king size bed, working refrigerator an microwave, newly renovated, very nice experience.

The only positive about this hotel was that we were allowed to check in early. Some of the lights did not work, the security latch on the door was not aligned, so it wouldn't latch properly, but we were done when the ceiling in the bathroom started leaking. We checked out after two nights and spent another $350 for the remainder of our trip.

There was no room service. The bathtub had a partial ring of dirt. Hall carpets were filthy. A board with screws sticking out was on rhe crooked clothes rack. Otherwise it was inexpensive, everything worked: lights, heater/airconditioner, hot water. Key card did not work the 2nd night but quickly fixed.
