Love the room. The customer service was absolutely uncalled for.The young woman at desk is very hateful and very disrespectful and refuses to allow guests in lobby. This staff despise there guests and treat the guests as if they are a nuisance. We will never stay at this Red Roof Inn location again. Staff needs to understand the guests is who keeps the pay check coming.

Our room was very clean and smelled nice. When turning on the water, it smelled like rotten eggs and sewer once we turned it on, so we used bottled water to brush our teeth. We had to let the water run before using it. Front desk lady wasn’t very welcoming either.

No coffee pot in the room, or an iron and ironing board. The office had an iron, but no ironing board. Coffee in the lobby is available from 7-9 am; not very good and no half and half available. Bed was not very comfortable.

Parking was fine, room very clean, internet was a problem.

This is a solid option for a stay near ellenton. The rooms are large enough to have a small table and are clean. The area is adjacent to industrial storage buildings but feels relatively safe. The pool is on the smaller size but clean.

Room was clean. Bed was soft and comfortable. Gas station and two places to eat are right next-door and in walking distance. Only negative I have is that the parking does not extend all the way around the building. I drove in with a big truck and trailer and I had to try and maneuver my way out in reverse. And there’s not ample parking for trucks with trailers.

Room was clean and everything was in working orders. However, I did have two cockroaches in my room during my seven day stay. Also their brochure advertisement states they “offer a free continental breakfast “. It was only coffee. Nothing else.

Expensive for the actual experience. No breakfast/coffee only. We are not coffee drinkers. Room was outdated and showed signs of wear. Fine if you're just in and out overnight and then on your way...but not comfortable for a longer stay.

Very nice front desk person truly sweet and nice perk with the hotel's partnership with the Oyster bar restaurant next door - great ambiance on the river beautiful outdoor view. Would definitely stay there again.

Bed mattress was absolutely 30 years old. Horrible. Just like sleeping on the floor.The room was dirty. The grounds were dirty. All of this would be fine if the room was for $30 a night I guess not fo over $200 a night for 2 days. Absolute horrible.

I hhad reservation. Check in time is 3pm. I arrived at 2pm. Signs on window and do saying no check in before 3pm. Door was locked and lights off. No one around to talk to. Not what i would call even minimum service. I decided to go somewhere else.Have travel insurance so I will dispute room charge

Clean room, decent beds. Font desk staff was helpful and kind. The property really needs exterior cleanup. Pressure washing walkways, painting the building and especially the doors, cleaning up trash and cigarette butts. Such a lovely location on the river. It's a shame that it isn't used to it's full potential.

After moving from another state, it took longer than expected to get set up with a place to live. The staff was very helpful and understanding when we had to continue to rebook our room while waiting for approval on our home. Very grateful they helped us keep a roof over our heads.

Had to change rooms since the couch had no bedding available and we were told a king room was only for 2 when I booked for 2 adults and an 11-year-old. The outside appearance of the hotel was gross and had roaches in the stairwell. The room was ok small beds that were not the most comfortable. Coffee pot in the room was useless, and breakfast was shut down because they didn't want to pay someone to watch the food and make sure nobody "did" anything to it per the employee.

There were roaches in the room, I have pictures. My husband found cigarette burns in the sheets. There was black mold and puckering in the bathroom ceiling due to leaking. I also have pictures.

The hotel itself is very clean. The receptionist at the desk was extremely nice.

It was cute, but dirty. I had to use the phone to get the wi-fi password and I had to wash it before I could touch it. There were visible fingerprints on it. The bathroom was dirty, but the toilet and shower were fine. The beds were awesome and the place was very quiet although you're near the interstate and another highway. The website says 2 cats max, first one free, $15/night for 2nd but there was a sign on the counter that said 1 pet. Which is it? 2 pets with first one free, or just one pet period? Red Roof needs to fix this problem because I came with 2 cats and didn't want to ask about the policy, although I screenshot it, because I didn't have anywhere else to go. I hate feeling like I'm breaking the rules, especially when it's the venue's fault.

The room was decent and the pool was nice. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Very accommodating to us traveling with our 2 dogs.

Quiet location , Clean rooms pretty nice pool . Friendly staff . Very nice sunrise view . Could use some breakfast to go with the morning coffee but there is a Waffle House next door that has really good food and friendly staff. We stayed here a week while visiting family and it was real nice.

So first I would like to say I stayed there for a good little min , I will say the lady in the front with the blond hair isn’t the nicest at all she I feel is underline racist , she picks and chooses who she wants to allow to stay there , she says one things and goes off on something else’s .. I was kicked out for not allowing them to come in and clean my room which one min it was every other day an then was told it suppose to be everyday , on top of not signing papers which honestly could have been a simple phone call to remind me it’s nothing. Major . Like I said picks and chooses there were several people there that should have been out for other reasons now mind you there is nothing wrong with the room it’s clean and stayed clean … so I will say with the amount of money I spend the service was horrible .. Quiet clean

We had to check out three days early. There was water coming through the bathroom ceiling and the only other room available was a smoking room. Nothing we or they could control. The staff was helpful and supportive.

Other than the roaches and flies in the room it wasn't a terrible stay. Would not stay with a significant other or children.

Arrived about 2 hours early and found the hotel closed with a sign 'NO EARLY CHECK-IN - NO EXCEPTIONS'. Having driven 18 hours from Pittsburgh, this is not a good first impression. Hotel itself is fine - but Hotels are supposed to be like Casinos - they never close. Manager proceeded to point to the website saying check-in was at 3, completely ignoring the fact every hotel has this on their site, but will work with you if you arrive early. Just an incredibly frustrating and unecessary experience.

The bed was great and the room was well kept

Easy check in. Bathroom has been updated however the furniture in the room is very old and tired.

Very clean room ( one king bed ground floor ), well situated for restaurants (waffle house, oyster grill and Mc Do not too far away ) AC/heating quiet. Noisy early morning ( road ) and no hanging locker in the room?? at 120$ was a good choice.

Sheets were dirty. People were arguing at midnight, woke my entire family up. System was down when we arrived so we had to wait an extra hour to check in. The person checking in was slow to check in and the line was really long. Lobby was closed because environment was unsafe , so we checked in from window. Bathrooms were clean!

Nice lady at the front desk “Amanda”?, was extremely friendly, helpful, even after having worked a very long shift.

This was the only place in the area with a vacancy. Booked for 2 nights. Checked in by a very surly woman…apparently we were interrupting something she was doing on her cell phone. Room had no hair dryer, or coffee machine. Bath\shower very slippery. No elevator. 2 ice machines, neither of which didn’t work or else were out of ice at 10:30 am. Lots of noisy truck traffic and construction all around. Hard to keep from tracking gravel into room. Some good things: Everything recently painted, and beds were comfortable. Lots of hot water and good water pressure.

A capable place to stay for reasonable money. It is conveniently located between Sarasota and Tampa. There are a couple places to eat within walking distance the closest being an excellent seafood restaurant. There is also a Waffle House. This Red Roof provides discount coupons to both eateries.

Stayed here during a busy night where most other hotels were booked. Despite the high price you get an average stay. Unfortunately this area is just priced this way. Later in the week I stayed at the Super 8 right around the corner and had a more comfortable experience.
