Reviews
The Hayward Inn is a modern, clean hotel with friendly and helpful staff. It is conveniently located across from the University of Oregon and offers a good breakfast. However, some guests have reported issues with housekeeping, noise, and the lack of elevators in certain buildings.

- Friendly and helpful staff
- Issues with housekeeping
- Noise from street or neighbors

Clean, reasonably priced, friendly staff, breakfast included. I would stay here again!
- 3/5
Location TV barely had reception and the maintenance people were clueless but they tried to fix it.

I love the location and amenities. N/a
- 4/5
Very nice room, with a small balcony overlooking a stream. Saw a beaver and a duck in the stream so we were sure we were in Oregon. Only negative was we had 3rd floor with no elevator. It would have been nice to know prior to booking.
- 5/5
Room was clean and pleasant. Breakfast options were great! Staff very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
- 2/5
We were in rm 103, ground level. Nearly every day the cleaning crew started work at about 8am and the noise outside our sliding glass door was very loud with laundry carts being rolled around on the driveway and into the hallway. Because there were no elevators in the building (I asked the staff), the workers had to carry the heavy carts down the stairs - sometimes just holding one side of the cart and letting it bounce down the stairs - which was very loud. The absence of a rubber mat nearly caused my wife to fall down several times while showering. The nite check in clerk made me feel like having to serve me was a major inconvenience to him. When the fridge turned on, it made lots of noise. That said, the price was good, the unit was clean and well-maintained and it had most everything else we needed. Because of the noise, the Inn would likely be a last choice for another visit to Eugene.
- 4/5
Great breakfast, the option for having dinner in the lounge was great but I wished for more variety, location is grand, very walkable, quiet.
- 5/5
Check in was quick and the staff were very informative. The room was clean and comfy (the bathtub is big enough for a 6'2" person to take a bath.) The hotel bar and pool were clean, readily available and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Really comfortable room, very clean, perfect location across from the university
- 4/5
The staff were nice and the rooms were clean.
- 5/5
I was very impressed with this hotel. A great price and close to Uof O . Very clean and comfortable, quiet room . Also i was super impressed with their breakfast. They had everything for DIY breakfast burritos and biscuits and gravy . You get a full yummy breakfast . Staff were great at keeping it stocked and clean . The bar and grill is great. Just all around a great place .
- 5/5
This is our first choice to stay in downtown Eugene every single time. We prefer the Hayward building but the whole place is great! The only thing missing is a hot tub and waffle maker if I'm being picky lol. The bar is great and the workout room is awesome! The location couldn't be better, Track town pizza next door and close to the University and Matthew Knight Arena.
- 3/5
Room was dated and tired appearing. It was clean. I didn't feel exceptionally safe here. No elevators . There was a dormitory feeling to this place. I didn't have any negative interactions and the staff was friendly. The included breakfast was good. It was fine for 1 night as I traveled but I probably wouldn't stay here again as a solo traveler.
- 3/5
It’s in the convenient location
- 4.5/5
Good location off the highway. Someone below us was smoking on their balcony.
- 2.5/5
Passable
- 5/5
great place to stay if youre at Eugene area, great breakfast and view of the college.
- 5/5
I was really impressed by the whole space. The entire property was well maintained. The rooms were so clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay here again if I’m ever in Eugene.
- 5/5
Everything you need in a small package
- 1/5
When booking this hotel they give no indication that they have two other separate buildings that have rooms. When booking online you believe are booking the "main" property with all the pictures of a nice upscale property. The room had mold in the bathroom and the smell of the rooms was quite over bearing. When checking in they told me I was in the third building all the way in the back and there was nothing they could do to move me into the main building which was the building I had believed I had booked.
- 5/5
Decent stay esp for the price. We had a balcony over looking the pond. Very peaceful.
- 5/5
Wonderful. Quality for a great price
- 4/5
Cute boutique hotel. Location across the street from University is ideal. Staff is friendly. Don't bother booking a room on the water. It's a gross stagnant overgrown canal. Although the far back building where those rooms are located is quiet. The rooms were clean but did have a weird musty smell. Almost like those rooms may have been smoking rooms a long time ago and they could never get rid of the smell. Became nose blind to it quickly enough though. TVs are not smart. Bathroom was updated and clean.
- 5/5
Great location staff were awesome. Would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Our room at 3rd floor and this building without elevator which no very convicted.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Clean, safe, friendly place. We were not aware one of our rooms was in a stair only building.
- 5/5
Loved the rooms and was so happy that the pool was open until midnight. I was able to swim after getting back to the hotel. The buffet breakfast was awesome and the staff was so friendly and helpful with area to visit.
- 3/5
Property was nice but room was not ready when we arrived. Also one bed looked wrinkled and the bathroom was cleaned but a few things missed. Staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was nice.
- 5/5
Front desk friendly and welcoming. Breakfast excellent. Room clean and comfortable Lack of elevator access for 3rd floor room should probably have been mentioned at the time I booked the hotel. I am mobile, but for older adults with mobility problems this could be a challange with suit cases.
- 5/5
I had a 3rd level with a balcony. Great accommodations. Went down to the bar for food and a drink. Got a really good night's sleep.
- 3.5/5
This place is basic but consistently has great staff and great wi-fi. Best value in Springfield for sure.

- 5/5
For the most part we very much enjoyed our stay at the Hayward Inn. However, I thought the breakfast items were kind of marginal. The cooked eggs were kind of flat. The link sausages were cheap and fatty. The orange juice was watered down. But the breakfast room was bright, clean, and inviting. Virtually everything else about the place was great.
- 5/5
Very close to UO campus
- 4/5
The room was clean and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was a continental style like most hotels have. Hot food and then cereal and bagels. Bar was closed while we were here. The only complaint would be the shower curtain had mold on it. I would stay here again
- 5/5
The handicapped bathroom was excellent! I especially appreciated the handle on the inside of the bathroom door -- it makes closing the door while in a wheelchair so much easier! It was roomy, and no bathroom threshhold makes wheeling around easier. The only thing I would suggest is putting the towels lower and accessible to someone in a wheelchair (I had to have my husband get a towel for me). And a built in shower bench would be helpful, but the portable shower chair worked okay. Also, the location being near the university is great!
- 5/5
Yep.

I am a regular at this hotel. I had been going through many health issues including cancerous issues ,lupus etc and many times before I've never had this problem. However for whatever reason this time wasn't great. I booked through Expedia, reserved a room in the main building where everything is close, for some reason I got stuck in the Hilyard building where nothings close and I use a walker to get around it was so hard! I was overcharged, the room was dirty, smelly hall & room, the balcony had spider, dirt webs all over, the blanket had a hole in it. I didn't get room cleaned at all, until I asked for it. They did offer at the end to change my room but since we were there and unpacked we stayed cuz my 13yr old like seeing the ducks& it was too hard for me. I really love this hotel, I want to come back but after this, I just don't know. Being a single disabled Mom it's hard financially and physically. David, Zion & Jenn was amazing. Expedia tried contacting the Manager but nothing so far. There's no disabled parking where I was no automatic door to open so that was very hard. I just hope this doesn't happen again, and I hope someone contacts me. Please and thank you.
- 5/5
breakfast, room, balcony room was not made up daily
- 3.5/5

- 5/5
Nothing all good
- 5/5
Lots of privacy, very quiet, and the staff was extremely friendly. The breakfast was excellent, the beds were very comfortable, and the price is simply perfect for such an excellent place. My rating: a 10.
- 4/5
I did not get a chance to try the breakfast so I cant comment on that, but the room was very comfortable, had good temperature control and I appreciated that there was a nice thick extra blanket in the room! The only thing that could have been better was the balcony - it looked over the creek/river and was a nice place to lounge on a warm day, but it would have been nicer if the table and chairs had been dusted recently - there were lots of spiderwebs and dust all over the balcony. Its probably hard to keep clean since its in the trees but just wanted to mention that it felt kinda gritty out there.
- 4/5
For the price, it’s a great stay in Eugene went in town for an event
- 4.5/5
Superb
- 5/5
Great location. Off season pricing is reasonable
- 2/5
They never told me that an entire Track team of High schoolers were staying in the building where my room was located. Bar was also closed due to a staffing issue. I’ve had similar things happen when I’ve stayed in the past. I would rate this Hotel a 5.5 out of 10. I travel for work and have stayed here many times, but this is the last time.
- 5/5
Awesome hot breakfast options and modern hotel!
- 4/5
Room was nice and clean inside. I liked the large screen TV, and the bed was comfy. Only deducted a star because part of the reason I booked the creek side room was to sit on the balcony and enjoy the “View”. However, the balcony was not maintained - dirty, spider webs everywhere and the creek actually looked like stagnant water that was murky. The trees were nice and a family of ducks hanging out did get my attention. Also, there was a funny smell in the building hallways. Breakfast was a good spread, but the two times I went it was busy and some of the items were empty needing refilled.
- 4/5
Clean rooms but breakfast was over at 9am it self
- 5/5
We stayed in the Franklin wing on the second of 3 floors. NO ELEVATOR. Breakfast was hot and had a good selection.
- 4/5
The room was spacious (we had a single king), the staff was nice and helpful and the breakfast was good.
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
It was a great experience for my family

- 5/5
Always a wonderful stay! Clean, great staff, and wonderful happy hour!
- 5/5
Pleasantly surprised. I rolled the dice on booking at this place, knowing it was not a national chain hotel. This place was right on par with a Marriot or similar. Would definitely book there again
- 5/5
Everyone on staff was extremely friendly!
- 4/5
There are two section to the Hayward…one section (where the front desk is) that is modern, clean & smells good. The other section is old and smells like it!
- 4/5
I only gripe was I requested a handicap accessible room, and was placed on the third floor of a building that had no elevator
- 5/5
Absolute must stay if you're in Eugene. Front desk people were the friendliest and most helpful of any hotel I've ever stayed at. Huge full breakfast, better than some airline lounges. Great amenities - pool open late and gym open 24x7. Good bar. Slightly overpriced but really good selection of drinks. Very highly recommended!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel. Stayed here 2 times now for the Eugene Marathon. Planning on making it tradition!
- 5/5
Great price for a weekend visit!
- 5/5
Nice location. Great spacious room. Very clean. Would rebook on next visit to Oregon
- 4/5
Loved the patio and view of creek. The only drawback was the upstairs neighbor. The floors and walls are thin and we could hear every step, etc
- 4/5
The amenities were decent and well-maintained.
- 4/5
Room was clean and included breakfast. Location is close to university.
- 3/5
Rooms are a dated in and have a smell. We stayed in the front building and those rooms are better. Breakfast is stopped being served at 9:30 which seems early. 10 would make more sense.
- 4/5
Great breakfast & location, Staff very helpful.
- 5/5
Great choice to stay here. Very nice area and convenient to get around. Pool being open until midnight is a nice option.
- 5/5
It was perfect experience I give 3 star on amenities since we never used it but overall experience very good.
- 1/5
poor experience with staff
- 4/5
Location - excellent for UofO Only issue (and is so with most places) why do other guests have to stomp around and make unnecessary noise in middle of night! ;0)
- 5/5
Beautiful room, kind staff, and great location.
- 5/5
Great place to stay! Loved it and will be back!
- 5/5
We have stayed here multiple times. Every stay is enjoyable, it is certainly located, wonderful staff. Will stay again in the future.
- 5/5
The room was clean and enjoyable. The lobby and common areas were clean and nice.
- 5/5
The staff was cheerful and accommodating. We had a graduation function to be at by 3 p.m., and we were able to get an early check-in. The Hillyard creekside room was quite enjoyable. The breakfast was a bonus. And I know from looking at the facilities that other family members stayed at nearby that the value of the Hayward Inn far exceeded anything nearby. Thank you for a wonderful stay. bp
- 5/5
Pretty new hotel, spacious room and very helpful staff
- 5/5
Great stay!! from arrival to departure, from property cleanliness, price paid to staff attention, we had a great overnight stay. Will return to have more opportunity to visit the city. Shout out to Jen and to Gabriella for your support and detailed support.
- 5/5
Clean and updated rooms, friendly staff, great breakfast and great location!
- 5/5
The breakfast alone was worth the stay, not to mention the indoor pool and the gym. We will be staying here again, next time we come to Eugene.
- 5/5
Clean rooms, nice staff and great breakfast!
- 5/5
Close to campus
- 5/5
Good breakfast - room was clean, friendly staff
- 1/5
I am so angry about being put on the third floor with a service dog. I was also not in the main building and did not get proper instructions as to how to even reach my room. I had to turn around and go back in.. There’s no elevator in the building that I was put on the third floor of could not have been more inconvenient. I checked in early enough and made the reservation days in advance and noted my service animal. I am so angry with this hotel, you also cannot turn the porch light off of your room just utter nonsense so the auxiliary building that I was in was like being in the third floor of a cheap motel.
- 5/5
The breakfast is fantastic. Nice clean rooms with good air-conditioning.
- 5/5
Fantastic hotel stay! Everything about this place was amazing: breakfast was delicious; bedding and room was spotless; mattress was very comfortable. Gym and indoor pool were both very well maintained. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Great staff, extremely friendly
- 5/5
Great location, clean, and the staff are so friendly.
- 2/5
No hot water on last day, coffee pot broken, and lamp shade not attached
- 5/5
Great property, rooms and staff. The breakfast had many options and was delicious. The location is exceptional to the University. The only drawback was no elevators in the outlying buildings.
- 5/5
Very nice new hotel
- 5/5
great place to stay
- 5/5
perfectly suited my needs. no frills but a short walk to campus, quiet and clean.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
Very very nice hotel across from UofO. Short stay, but would do it again
- 5/5
Great selection of the breakfast. Good happy hour on site. Pet friendly! Just one minor thing.., open/close door and shower sound from other rooms are little bit loud.
- 5/5
Excellent bar at legends. Excellent location on Franklin close to UFO and The Standard apartments. Staff is very nice. Hotel is very clean. I like this much better than the best Western down the street. Also three or four minute walk to Starbucks and also a Mexican food restaurant
- 3/5
This was not my first stay at the Hayward, so hoping the poor experience was a one-off and not a new trend. Although I was told on check-in that my room would be cleaned every other day, it was not cleaned once in my 4 day stay. I got back to my room on the expected cleaning day too late to request service and left early the next day. The daily breakfast is a perk of staying here and the eggs were overcooked on multiple days. It’s a free breakfast, but still not up to the standards of previous stays. Overall, still a good value and I’ll stay again to give them another shot.
- 5/5
Great place to stay
- 4/5
I wish they had some flat pillows to choose
- 5/5
Great locations and nice staff
- 5/5
I liked the cleanliness and furnishings. The bed was nice. The pillow was a bit firm for me but acceptable. I liked the nightlight in the bathroom. I enjoyed the stay. Location across from the university was perfect.
- 5/5
We stayed 1 night & moved on with our roadtrip. We actually decided to come back a couple of days later. Both nights were decent. We're always afraid the "dog friendly" rooms will smell like wet dog with a hint of cleaner. This room did not. It was clean & comfortable for us & our pup, Enzo. No shortage of coffee shops & restaurants nearby. It a busy area with lots of college life happening around it. Parking was free, there's breakfast offered (we did not try it) & the pet fee is reasonable.
- 3/5
The first morning we went for breakfast , everything was cleaned out by 900am ( breakfast ends at 930). The staff was not helpful.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
It was quiet. The bed was nice
- 5/5
The breakfast bar was good. Lots of choices.
- 5/5
Clean large room. Excellent breakfast! Great staff...will definitely stay again!
- 5/5
Front desk staff were amazing. Room very nice. Breakfast nice. Pool was kinda cold and wish there was a hot tub.
- 4/5
Hotel was well maintained. Healthy breakfast options. Comfortable and well maintained rooms.
- 5/5
The rooms are very clean and the lounge is a great place to relax. Excellent location if you are visiting UO, which is across the street. They have a decent hot breakfast, which is very convenient if you don't have much time. Starbucks is a block away. Depending on events, some parents tend to gather at the bar in the evening. Indoor pool is a nice place to cool off on hot days.
- 3/5
fine for a few nighs
- 3/5
Average. Breakfast was good.
- 5/5
The breakfast selection is excellent.
- 5/5
The staff at the counter is great and the rooms are quite nice and a reasonable price The breakfast is good but if you are staying more than one day, it is identical every day I think. Not sure why the staff in the breakfast area insist on slamming the buffet trays doors and the clean plates on the counter. Certainly would not be allowed on a catering job.
- 5/5
Rooms very clean and large
- 4/5
Appears to be a remodeled older hotel and they did a nice job. Good location. Breakfast is good however, for some reason, the staff serving the breakfast is very loud, slamming warming tray, lids and plates. Stayed there a couple of days in the same thing happens each time.
- 4/5
Just had ants but overall wonderful. We just got the worst room location by an entrance
- 5/5
Modern and updated finishes. Would definitely stay again!
- 4/5
Very clean close to campus
- 5/5
Friendly staff and nice room.
- 3/5
Room was clean and staff was nice. Room was at street level and someone kept knocking on my door at 3 am, so I didn’t feel safe. Also saw a man peeing literally on the building when I left my room.
- 5/5
Feels like home very cozy. Also, great happy hour and breakfast!
- 5/5
Staff is very friendly, rooms are always immaculate! It’s a great location if you’re visiting your college student or attending a concert. It’s also pet friendly in some rooms with a clean pet potty area. We stay here often and always enjoy our stay.
- 5/5
Super clean and comfortable room. Great location.
- 5/5
Breakfast had a nice, fresh selection.,
- 5/5
Clean room. Great breakfast.
- 4/5
Room was clean. Loved the balcony even though I got a corner room so it was smaller. The floor seems a little off in places. And there was lots of noise from the room above me. Breakfast was great. Nice location. Pizza place next door was 5/5!
- 5/5
Great access to Matthew Knight arena for concert and events. Modern, clean and well appointed hotel. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Good cost to quality ratio. Highly recommend and we will be back for the next event we pick at the arena. - Ryan, Kerri, Dennis and Debbie.
- 4/5
Outside walls are covered in dirt spores and NO parking was available. It was a concert night but you would think enough parking would be available to rooms booked
- 5/5
Cleaned, great staff and a lovely vibe!
- 5/5
Good breakfast
- 5/5
Super clean and breakfast had many choices in a nice dining room
- 4/5
Room was clean but there were some items broken. TV could have also had option to login to our personal tv apps. A/C seems to have a timer not to work overnight but does turn on in the morning. Walls are a little thin so we could hear doors shutting and people talking.
- 5/5
Great place!

Would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting University of Oregon!
- 5/5
The Staff were absolutely phenomenal! The room was clean, the view was beautiful!
- 5/5
The breakfast selection was nice. Maybe add a waffle maker. Biscuits and gravey were tasty.
- 5/5
Breakfast was delicious. Staff was more than helpful. Would definitely recommend. Will definitely stay again when in area!
- 5/5
great place to stay

Yo
- 4/5
Breakfast buffet was adequate, nothing special. Met expectations. Very good coffee, good eggs, bakery, but very watery apple juice. Not sure if it's always that way or just my luck.
- 5/5
We had a great stay, easy, check-in, easy checkout. Everything was clean and met our needs.
- 5/5
A good place to stay. Had everything I needed. Clean property. Convenient.
- 5/5
Comfortable bed and amenities.
- 3/5
Stopped late while passing through. Ok place, didn’t realize the buildings are spread far out and parking was limited. Probably wouldn’t stay again but was ok for just the night
- 5/5
Building was new and the amenities weren’t run down. The room was extremely clean, and so was the bathroom and shower area. The staff was helpful and kind, I’d definitely go again!
- 5/5
Everything perfect
- 5/5
Everything was great except breakfast, which is a good opportunity to catch up on your sodium intake.
- 5/5
Breakfast was great. Room was great.
- 5/5
Great hotel in a great location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a pet friendly room and it was excellent. We will definitely stay here again!
- 4/5
I stayed Saturday through Monday and was disappointed they did not service my room during the stay. When I enquired at the desk, they said it was due to policy of doing it every other day. It was a bummer and I encourage them to rethink their policy. This is my favorite place to stay in all of Eugene...I hope you all give them a try, and that they bring back daily room service
- 5/5
Very clean great rooms, friendly helpful staff. Great location can walk to everything. Used for a track event and was perfect for access and convenience. Loved the room and the free parking and breakfast was cherry on top
- 5/5
Fairly clean
- 5/5
Super convenient location, across from the Matthew Knight Arena and only a 2 minute drive to the dorms, if you’re visiting your Duckling.

Great place to stay right across from the university of Oregon
- 4/5
Nice, clean, quiet room. Good selection at the complimentary breakfast.

- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
The breakfast was fresh, everything was delicious. I felt very welcomed and appreciated. Thank you 💕
- 4/5
The hotel is actually three buildings, so where we were at is the furthest away from the main building that has the pool and breakfast. Liked the creek view from the balcony and the room is nice and quiet.
- 4/5
Clean room and good location
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff
- 4/5
I enjoyed my stay at Hayward Inn in the detached Franklin building. Tje room was nicely updated. The hotel lobby, restaurant, breakfast area, bar, and pool are all beautifully designed and comfortable. I enjoyed having an evening swim in the pool all to myself. There is also a nice looking gym but I did not use it so I cannot review it. The location is close to the University and to trails by the river. I enjoyed walking around the campus during the start of beatiful spring trees in bloom. The breakfast had multiple options (open buffet) but was not really for me. The bar had a limited selection for dinner but there are many restaurants in the area. Staff very friendly.
- 5/5
The breakfast was very good, the toom was very clean, the staff was very nice and the pool was clean.
- 4/5
Clean and updated. Very nice if you’re in the main Building. But the other buildings adjacent to the pool and breakfast area HAVE NO ELEVATOR! It was difficult to carry all the luggage up and down the stairs. I would stay there again, but no where that I looked disclosed that the rooms were only accessible by stairs. Water pressure good and very hot. Pool was very nice. Food was plentiful.
- 4/5
Convenient location. Clean room, great parking. Loved our stay.
- 5/5
I’ve said it before (a couple of times) and I’ll say it again (because I will definitely stay there again and again) : the Hayward Inn is the place to stay. Quality. Convenient. Affordable. Superb staff. Dining. Try it once and you will return whenever you travel to Eugene.
- 5/5
Had an excellent experience staying with my family. Breakfast was great. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.
- 5/5
The hotel is excellent—what else can I say? My family was absolutely delighted and can't wait to return! It is very safe, very clean, and a truly great place to stay. I recommend it 100%! And finally, the breakfast was delicious.

Large room. No elevators in some buildings. Vending/ice not well marked and not on all floors.
- 5/5
The bed was the most comfortable bed I have slept in in a while and the proximity to the University of Oregon was just great!!!!

- 5/5
Good clean rooms and friendly staff
- 4/5
Courteous and helpful staff. Room was decently clean.
- 4/5
Good location. The breakfast was average
- 5/5
Solid place on all levels: clean, modernly styled, spacious, quiet, nearby UO while quiet, nearby downtown Eugene with quick and easy access while quiet. Perfect spot!
- 5/5
Easy check in and parking, nice breakfast
- 4/5
Room was clean. Breakfast was great!
- 5/5
Clean room and great breakfast.
- 2/5
Desk staff seemed overwhelmed. Wouldn’t bring extra blankets to the room. Food in lounge was cold and couldn’t eat. No hot water in morning in entire building. Horrible way to start the day. Room was outdated and door didn’t feel secure. Not even close to a highly rated hotel that I saw in other reviews.
- 5/5
Such a nice hotel!
- 5/5
Wonderful Staff, Clean room, Very good Free Breakfast with excellent care & service.
- 5/5
great location easy check in and clean nice rooms at a reasonable price
- 5/5
Staff was excellent. I accidentally left some personal items in the side table drawer, and Jen (?) facilitated a UPS pickup and delivery of the items, which arrived at my door two days later! No charge from the hotel, only the UPS fee. I was very impressed with the overall trip. The room was comfortable and clean. We will definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Our room and bed were both very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The entire place was clean and the morning paper was a bonus.
- 5/5
great stay
- 5/5
Very clean facility. Staff was friendly. Breakfast on first day was pretty much gone (I saw school bus so that's probably why lol) but second day was really good. Room is nice. Walking distance to restaurant and stores.

Clean, friendly staff, bar and food on site.
- 5/5
Beautiful access campus loved it and great staff
- 2/5
Late check-in,
- 3/5
Room was mostly clean. Staff was mostly nice. Room was next to an electrical room that made a very loud buzzing noise for an about 10sec every few hours (including late night/early morning). Loud enough that no one (other than a deaf person) could sleep through it.
- 5/5
The young lady that provided the breakfast was so sweet and inviting. She’s a gem! Definitely will stay at this wonderfully clean hotel again!
- 5/5
All the staff we met during our 4 day stay were friendly and courteous. The food in the breakfast room and in the pub was good. We appreciated having refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker in our room.
- 5/5
Clean and spacious room. Staff were very polite and easy to work with
- 5/5
Great location, price, and room.
- 4/5
Nice staff, good updates and good breakfast
- 5/5
close to University of Oregon campus.
- 5/5
Room was not just spotless but beautiful! Staff was friendly, helpful. And the breakfast was a cut above. The value here is outstanding. My new favorite place to stay in Eugene!
- 5/5
Courteous and friendly staff, room was very clean and comfortable, convenient location, seamless check in and check out. Felt valued every step of the way!
- 3/5
WiFi was terrible, staff could answer few questions about the area and there was no literature to use as resource either.
- 5/5
Great room, friendly staff, excellent value. Had the pool all to myself.
- 5/5
Excellent room, super clean, I would stay there again in the future.
- 5/5
Room was nice size, very clean, and fairly quiet. Every staff member we spoke to was very friendly and helpful. Hotel across the street from university of Oregon, great location
- 5/5
Courteous people and good location.
- 4/5
I’ve stayed at the Hayward Inn on several occasions and it’s always been a reliably pleasant hotel with clean rooms, friendly and accommodating staff and good location. No complaints at all.
- 5/5
Large, clean, well decorated room with comfy beds. I enjoyed the Keurig coffee maker (extra points) and 2 sink areas eased morning congestion. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast room was arranged nicely with adequate food that could be better quality.
- 5/5
Awesome experience. Especially for the price! Very cute hotel with very friendly people. Nice breakfast buffet for free in great location. I swear this hotel just came onto Expedia as I had always wanted to stay there, but it never popped up. I like it way better than the best western down the street. You can walk to Starbucks in about five minutes and to the knight center in about five minutes and Hirons.
- 5/5
Clean room, nice staff
- 4/5
When I get the room was clean enough to make us happy
- 4/5
Great room, nice and roomy. The bed was comfortable.
- 5/5
The hotel and staff were great!
- 3/5
The room was not clean. Hide-a-bed had used sheets on it, floors weren’t mopped well, and bathroom sink had grime everywhere.
- 4/5
It was pretty good overall. Parking was bad.
- 5/5
Good breakfast and fun little patio in each room -
- 4/5
Clean room spacious with a good bathroom
- 4/5
All was good
- 5/5
Modern, clean and spacious rooms. Staff was super friendly. They accommodated our room request to a corner, where it was nice and quiet. Breakfast was delicious, and a great variety. We will definitely stay again.
- 5/5
The room was very clean, the staff are friendly , the breakfast was very good
- 5/5
Room was clean. Easy access to UofO. Easy check in and check out. Breakfast was lackluster but it was free so oh well. Would stay again
- 5/5
So close to the venue
- 5/5
Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and breakfast was great! I had the pool to myself in the morning and it was very peaceful. Thank you for a lovely stay!
- 5/5
Friendly, helpful staff. Clean rooms. Great walkable location.
- 5/5
Clean, safe, & friendly staff. Location was a great! Right in front of the Matthew Knight Arena which was perfect b/c I was there for an Oregon Ducks basketball game. Solo female traveller - felt safe the whole time and safe to leave my car in the parking lot. Safe neighbourhood. Lots of parking for the wkend. Staff at the front were super helpful & nice. No elevator but I only had a backpack for a short stay so it was perfect. Would absolutely book here again!
- 4/5
Great location for Mathew Knight Arena. Excellent breakfast and clean rooms!
- 4/5
Very nice hotel to use if you were going to Matthew Knight Arena for any kind of concert or game. All the rooms have a little balcony with a chair and tables, which is kind of nice to go get some fresh air. We would stay here again.
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff was great!
- 5/5
It was great!! Clean!
- 5/5
Everything was great except could have used an additional blanket in the room.
- 5/5
Room was clean and spacious. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again especially at this price point.
- 5/5
Room was very nice, balcony with view of creek. Bed very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Staff was very nice and friendly.
- 5/5
Clean room, plenty of space.
- 5/5
Great option for for visiting students / walk to campus
- 5/5
Fun pool, good breakfast and centrally located to all the fun stuff!
- 5/5
Staff weee friendly and courteous! Great location!!
- 3/5
The hotel was really nice. My room was larger than i was expecting. But my room was one of the few with no outside area. We where stuck between the mechanical room, the vending machines and something else noisy got very little sleep and had to be up early the next moring.
- 1/5
We booked 2 queen beds and we clearly got 2 doubles and the staff would not was not willing to admit that they were doubles. This was my 5th hotel on my 9 day trip and i had queen beds the entire time and i could clearly tell these beds were not the same size.
- 5/5
Excellent location, clean and well-maintained, with very friendly and helpful customer service.
- 5/5
My favorite place to stay. Clean, quiet, friendly
- 5/5
Everything was new and clean. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was delicious and had lots of selections. Our only minor complaint is that the way the door of the bathroom and the toilet were situated, it was a bit of a tight fit to close the door.
- 5/5
Spectacular room, very clean and modern. The breakfast was excellent too and the amenities were so very appreciated and great quality!
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Clean rooms very open and roomy. Simple parking. Clean pool area.
- 2/5
At midnight, the room directly above me started making a lot of noise. I heard footsteps running from either end of the room and down the hall, furniture and doors being slammed open and shut, which of course woke me up even though I had my sound machine on. I called the front desk because this didn’t seem like appropriate behavior for this time of night. The front desk’s response: “A family with a small child just checked in and you know how kids are.” lol what.. It’s not my kid and I shouldn’t have to put up with its behavior. If my dog can behave better than this child, why am I paying an extra fee for it?? My dog didn’t bark, didn’t run, didn’t jump, didn’t whine, didn’t growl… but this hotel allows irresponsible parents to let their children run around and scream at midnight with zero consequences. This disturbance went on until 2:00 am. I’m disappointed in the staff’s response and the parent’s lack of parenting and self awareness. They all showed an immense amount of disrespect.
- 4/5
Staff was very friendly and we enjoyed the free breakfast and great happy hour. Rooms were simple and clean and just a bit dated. Location very convenient to campus and Autzen.
- 5/5
Clean, friendly, nice breakfast
- 4/5
Great place just issues checking in couldn’t request an early check in also couldn’t get an upstairs room
- 5/5
Clean room, easy check in and overall a great spot to stay in Eugene for games. It's walking distance from Autzen, plus it has a little bar and seperate space for breakfast. Very clean and friendly staff.
- 5/5
Amazingly kind, thoughtful and generous people... will consider staying again.
- 4/5
Room was clean and functional. Hot water was Luke warm at best. Still, it was a very nice stay.
- 5/5
Very clean with a friendly staff
- 3/5
Breakfast has been included in the room’s price. However, variety is super basic: cereal, oats, muffins, sausages in a lot of fat/oil, plane omelet. I think it’s good match of price and what you get for it. Btw, staff was amazing! 10 out of 10 for sure.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 4/5
Breakfast was good for the price i paid, more options could have been added though
- 5/5
Housekeeping excellent
- 3/5
Noisy, near the outside door...
- 5/5
In general all & all good. Would definitely stay again!
- 5/5
Room was great and this hotel has the nicest staff! Nice happy hour in the bar too. We had a great stay!
- 5/5
It was excellent as always...we always prefer to stay here when we come to Eugene!
- 1/5
The shower didn’t work
- 5/5
Very clean and comfortable room. Nice breakfast area.
- 5/5
We wanted to thank you for your assistance with our recent incident while staying in Eugene. Our passenger side window was shattered during the night by a thief who made off with $3 in coins. We’re not allowed to mention specific names in these reviews, so let us just say that the entire staff was all very helpful in getting security video to the police, allowing us to stay an extra night at a discounted rate, and cleaning up the glass both in and outside of our car. Thanks to all the staff for your concern and service.
- 5/5
Room was spotless and staff has been wonderful!
- 4/5
We lost our EarPod in the pool a couple came but staff cannot identify the guest
- 5/5
Next to University of Oregon. Will stay here when I visit the school once a month
- 5/5
Clean room, great staff
- 5/5
The bar was awesome!
- 5/5
This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed at the Hayward. The rooms are comfortable and I like the way the hotel has been redone; it looks like it may have been built in the 60’s and they respect the eras aesthetic without being campy. The bed was comfortable, I wish they had higher toilets in regular rooms (old knees and surgeries but…). The best part was the very much above average food in the bar and the fantastic drinks. Really top notch bartending.
- 5/5
Clean comfortable room. Front desk was polite and accommodating
- 4/5
Yes
- 4/5
Elevators didn’t work but hotel is nice
- 4/5
Very clean, spacious rooms. My only complaints are that one of the buildings doesn’t have an elevator and the pillows were kind of hard. Otherwise, great stay and location!
- 5/5
the room was great as was the service
- 5/5
All was very good
- 4/5
The room is good but one of the light was broken
- 5/5
Everything is super clean and nice, except the floor is not so clean (dusty). Breakfast is excellent. We really enjoy our stay. It's also very pet friendly.
- 5/5
Great breakfast, clean and spacious rooms, recently renovated. Friendly staff. Comfortable beds. And an actual thermostat on the wall.
- 4/5
Nice clean room. Easy and ample parking. No elevator though if you are staying on the third floor.
- 4/5
good
- 5/5
Great room for a good price
- 4/5
.
- 4/5
Location and was nice and clean. Good breakfast...
- 4/5
Property was good, staff were also good. Indoor pool was also clean and nice. But there Wi-Fi kept going in and out. Other than that would stay here again.
- 5/5
The rooms are always spotless and there are a lot of amenities on site - gym, pool, a well stocked little market, and full breakfast. I really like how well the beds are made. It sounds weird, but a lot of places don’t tuck the sheets in securely like Hayward Inn does.
- 5/5
Great people, grest location.
- 5/5
Staff was. O
- 5/5
Our family and dog had a great stay here.
- 5/5
I enjoyed the back porch. Breakfast was the best I had that week.
- 5/5
Check in was great! I needed to change my room - too many stairs for this old knee - and it was kindly and cheerfully taken care of. The room is clean and the beds comfortable. I’ll stay here again while visiting Eugene
- 5/5
The room was excellent - clean, comfortable and just all over very good.
- 5/5
Always a great stay. The pizza next door is amazing. Pool is great and rarely in use. I have stayed there multiple times with no
- 4/5
Nice staff; good location for walkable restaurant options
- 4/5
Everyone was very nice, but the microwave wasn't working. They gave us a key to the room next door to use the microwave, but I didn't know that the power to the fridge went out to so everything in the fridge was warm in the morning.
- 5/5
Great location right next to the Matthew Knight Arena. The bar and restaurant is super comfortable. There’s an indoor patio. The rooms each have a nice little porch, are super clean, and well appointed.
- 3/5
Room had dog hair and the manager came to switch our bedding
- 5/5
So great. Amazing staff and great rooms.
- 4/5
Convenient to Matthew Knight Arena, convenient to local food, rooms were clean, but the older building we were in spelled a bit musty.
- 5/5
Great place. Will always stay here when visiting Eugene again. Nice smart young people working the desk and in the restaurant. 5 stars!
- 4/5
Legends had good appetizers. Continental breakfast had lots of options. Was all around great experience
- 4/5
Every one was friendly
- 5/5
Clean room, good breakfast
- 5/5
Amazing staff, very clean and safe property. Perfect location if visiting U of O
- 4/5
Staff nice. Mediocre breakfast. Coffee poor quality and not hot.
- 5/5
Very nice room with a lovely view of the creek. Nice staff!
- 4/5
Ian was very helpful at check in and carried my bags and helped me Park. I really appreciated his help and showing me how everything worked in the room.
- 5/5
Clean room, gorgeously decorated. Friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious and we were impressed to have real dishes and silverware! Would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
The staff was great, room was nice enough. But the bathroom smelled like pee and there was a poop spot on the toilet seat.
- 3/5
Listen, I really wanted to love this place. It was clean, the bed comfortable, area quiet, staff was great but, there was some kind of air freshener pumping out an overbearing scent in the room. I get it, you want the room to smell nice and hotels often smell odd or of cleaner. But, it was just too much for me and the scent never dissipated like a plug-in air freshener was going. I tore that room apart looking for it and had called the front desk asking where it was- they didn't know. They offered to move me to another room but, I'm sure the fragrance is deliberate and likely existed in every room. It would have been fine if it hadn't been so strong. At least give people the option to turn it off and air out the room.
- 4/5
The room was comfortable and for the most part clean. The house keeping staff needs to pay more attention to detail, such as look in the drawers (an old pizza/box was left in one drawer in our room drawing flies :( and clean the bathroom completely and thoroughly as hair was in the shower :( The breakfast was good, not old enough to go in the bar, the staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Everything was top notch. Great room, clean, staff and breakfast.
- 4/5
The room and bathroom were not cleaned thoroughly. For example, there was hair in the bathroom drain and the vacuuming looked hit and miss.
- 5/5
Rooms were nice. Breakfast was good. Staff is friendly
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
The room was clean, bed comfy, staff was very pleasant and helpful and the bar, Legends I think it is called, had good bar food and an excellent bartender. The Negroni was perfectly made.
- 5/5
Spotless room, courteous and helpful staff, nice breakfast choices.
- 5/5
Work out facility
- 5/5
Friendly and quick staff. Nice room an view

All wàs great, breakfast was great.
- 4/5
Great amenities including pool and a fitness center. Complimentary continental breakfast with a wide selection of items to choose from!
- 5/5
Hayward Inn exceeded my expectations. Room was spacious and comfortable.
- 5/5
Staff was wonderful and very helpful, Was conveniently located. Rooms where clean.
- 5/5
Only thing this time was the whole area we stayed in smelled like marijuana. That was inconvenient
- 5/5
The room was great, the bed was so comfortable. It was very spacious. Highly recommend
- 5/5
I really enjoyed staying here, i had to extend my stay by an extra day and the staff was very helpful and friendly, was able to get the same room so i didnt have to move around. I would definitely stay here again in the future
- 5/5
The room was spacious and comfortable, with great design on the walls. We loved our balcony over the water, so relaxing!
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff
- 5/5
Hayward Inn was a really nice, clean, modern hotel. The value for the price was excellent. The location was perfect for our visit to the University of Oregon pretty much right across the street from the Matthew Knight Arena. A short walk to the river and across to the park that leads to Autzen Field. Parking was free which is nice and breakfast was included in our rate. There’s a pizza place that’s open late right next door and a Starbucks a few steps away. Great hotel we will be back anytime we are in town to go to the university.
- 5/5
Day 2 had sausages so that was better!
- 5/5
Beautiful breakfast room!
- 5/5
Clean. Close to campus.
- 4/5
Only meat option for breakfast was chorizo, i wish there was at least one other option as my husband is not a fan, so we ended up having to go out for breakfast anyway. Please consider adding a hot tub! The pool was nice but a hot tub was very missed
- 4/5
Easy to park. Large room with 2 sinks.
- 4/5
Overnight to visit my kid at U of O - would stay here again. Super convenient location
- 5/5
Nice place
- 5/5
Easy parking. Safe, clean rooms. The breakfast was delicious and easy to grab and go.
- 2/5
Front desk staff is not work properly. Don't playing game with customers. Very unlikely manner. ( oct. 15th 8 pm work at front desk young lady)
- 5/5
The room was very nice, clean, and the bed was comfortable.
- 5/5
Very cozy. Didn't want to leave.
- 3/5
Friendly staff at check in. Bathroom and room clean. Some mold on the ceiling that was a bit concerning. Not perfect, but it was a reasonable cost. Location requires you to drive around and make a few uturns, but this is likely common in Eugene.
- 5/5
Clean room excellent customer service
- 5/5
Very modern and clean comfortable hotel near university of Oregon. It was very quiet and safe.
- 5/5
Great hotel and the staff is amazing.
- 3/5
there was some type of noisy equipment running close to our room.
- 4/5
This hotel was fine for the weekend, my family and I enjoyed the breakfast and pool. The staff however was not as friendly.
- 5/5
Staff is amazingly helpful and nice. I'll come here every year.
- 5/5
Staff was nice and very convenient.
- 4/5
I would have preferred a room that did not require walkng up three flights of stairs. We thought that perhaps we missed the elevator. However, once we were up there it wasn't worth going back down to make a request for another room. We were placed n the building farthest from the reception. We are 75 and I think it would have been nice to be asked if we needed an elevator or been given a room on a ground floor. Otherwise the room was lovely and the breakfast was good as well.
- 5/5
Nice clean room.
- 5/5
Easy access
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly. Everything was clean and they served an exceptional breakfast
- 5/5
This place is absolutely spot on. We got the king suite and it's comfortable and spacious. The staff at the front desk were an absolute pleasure to deal with. 5 stars guys 😎
- 4/5
This is not a luxury hotel however it was convenient for me to stay here given I wanted to be able to walk over to hayward field. It was decent, walkable, and the service was great! Everyone was professional and kind.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect. I'll definitely book this again for my next visit.
- 5/5
We book the Hayward Inn for our stay when we dropped off our daughter at the UofO. Clean, comfortable, easy check in/out, convenient location near campus, pizza and other dining options nearby, but most importantly, clean rooms, great staff and overall wonderful hotel! Would stay again
- 5/5
Newly Renovated, service was top notch, great location across the street from Matt Knight Arena and the University of Oregon Campus
- 5/5
Great place
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was pretty good
- 4/5
Real nice front desk college student at end of busy day- for both of us😊
- 4/5
Clean room. Breakfast included. Free parking. Cat friendly. Just didn’t realize there were multiple buildings. Only main building has an elevator.
- 5/5
Great place across the street from the university
- 4/5
Room was clean, comfortable, and quiet
- 5/5
Great for access to university
- 5/5
Pretty good
- 5/5
There was food and dirt in the ac heating unit. Smelled bad when we used it
- 5/5
Super clean, convenient, and rooms very nice.
- 5/5
This was a very pleasant stay. Our room was very comfortable and the staff was really friendly. I would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Nice convenient location. Modern clean look. Small but appealing balcony,
- 5/5
very nice - thank you
- 5/5
What a find! Incredibly helpful front desk, spacious room, very good breakfast and perfect location.
- 5/5
appreciate the extra effort. I also noticed her making sure that other guests got their questions answered and got checked in quickly. That sort of dedication seems rare these days.
- 4/5
My room floor carpet had a dirty smell
- 5/5
Great place. Clean -nice rooms
- 5/5
We had a beautiful room in the Hilyard Building that backed up on the mill race. It was beautiful, private, and quiet. Room was spacious and nicely furnished. Would highly recommend.
- 5/5
Great coffee and breakfast in the morning. Love the walk to Ducks football Stadium. Staff is always friendly, even when my husband is cranky!!
- 5/5
Slippery tile around the pool.
- 5/5
The breakfast was outstanding. The only thing missing was a waffle maker but really, we only missed it because that's the kids' favorite, there were TONS of great options for breakfast and we all ate more than we usually do. The entire facility was clean and the staff was just exceptionally professional and courteous. Really great stay.
- 5/5
Very clean and modern. Staff friendly and professional.
- 5/5
Beautiful
- 5/5
Incredible staff, clean cozy rooms with a balcony and lots of amenities, incl a hot breakfast!
- 5/5
Go Ducks!
- 4/5
Clean rooms walking distance worth the price for booking online just needed a better quality bed
- 5/5
housekeeping, desk and breakfast staff are all excellent and very helpful.
- 5/5
Very recommend! Very nice breakfast
- 4/5
Overall a good hotel and experience. Nice remodeled rooms and the main building is new. Nice staff and service. Easy parking and access and conveniently located across U of Oregon. The only thing to beware is the three hotel buildings separated from the main building doesn’t have an elevator so travel light or book the first floor rooms.
- 4/5
We were impressed at the amenities and the cleanliness for the money. The only bad thing to say about this stay was the front desk guy named Ian. He was very unprofessional. My interaction with him was awkward. If not for him, it would be 5 stars across the board.
- 5/5
Pet friendly, close to Onsen, decent breakfast. Definitely our first choice when it comes to staying in Eugene.
- 4/5
Not to bad checked in late left early was quick and easy
- 4/5
Room was very large and ac worked well
- 5/5
Very good experience
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
Great stay
- 2/5
The good: the front desk woman was awesome—so kind, professional, and tolerant. The room was very clean, spacious, decent sheets, there was no smell, and I never saw any bugs. The showering water was gloriously hot. The bad: I was put in a separate building (that I had to drive to) with a second floor walk up (with luggage)—there was no elevator. The bed was one of the worst I’ve ever slept in—the kind where you sink in the middle. The neighbor’s shower pipes were super loud. The deadbolt lock (the one that keeps you secure when you’re inside the room sleeping) was removed. I used my own door lock. I definitely would not stay in this room without it. The hot breakfast was not tasty, but the cold food looked okay. No, I would not stay in this hotel again. Tip: call the front desk and ask for a room in the main building.
- 3/5
The room was filthy, with cob webs on the lamps and lampshades. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable. It was completely different than how it was shown on the website. We will not go back.
- 5/5
Great hotel
- 5/5
Great place to stay to visit the university. Very nice room and amenities.
- 3/5
We had ants in our room, they were all over the coffee pot and sink area.
- 5/5
The location was perfect! Near campus. Close to a variety of shopping. The staff! The staff was amazing! Accommodating, knowledgeable and SO polite!!!!
- 3/5
Na
- 5/5
Only drawback was climbing stairs but Jen got us checked in early after big drive
- 5/5
Good stay
- 5/5
They were super friendly and helpful lenient on check out
- 5/5
For the Matthew Knight arena - just a walk across the street ! Great customer service and help by Aurelia on the phone prior to check in and throughout our 2day stay. Also helpful were employees David and Chris. The room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was nice. All hard working wonderful staff. Well managed from what I can tell. Oh we also enjoyed the indoor pool and the awesome shuffle board in the bar. Fun. Definitely would recommend staying here. We had room 109 in the Hillyard section. It was very quiet, private , and off the balcony is a peaceful little stream. Great stay. Thank you so much !
- 3/5
Everything was great, except the fact that my sheets smelled like mildew which I complained and was changed immediately.
- 4/5
Its a decent room.. but the washrooms need bit more cleaning.. there was hair in the bath tub. Apart from that parking, breakfast and near by commute is good.
- 5/5
Wry clean
- 5/5
This place is wonderful from staff to parking the legends bar abd lounge has friendky staff snd grest food. A must when going to see the ducks play.
- 5/5
great breakfast & room
- 5/5
They were playing the Greatful Dead and it brought back great memories.
- 4/5
We've stayed here several times while passing through town, and it is a good value for the money. Clean comfy rooms, decent breakfast, the kids enjoy the pool, and centrally located near UO campus. Downsides are the buildings are very spreadout with no elevators. The restaurant and bar were closed the day we went, which wasn't a big deal but seemed silly since they had just sent me an auto-text an hour before we checked in encouraging us to checkout the new bar.
- 4/5
Close to the University
- 5/5
The room was nice and the breakfast was excellent.
- 5/5
Great place to stay when visiting University of Oregon. Clean, friendly staff, good food, and walking distance to campus.
- 2/5
The property has 2 3-floor buildings that do NOT have an elevator. The lower price given to 3rd party sites like Expedia are based on this issue. Then upon arriving the staff informed me I would have to cancel a non-refundable booking and book at the front desk at the higher price. The property is not American Disability Act friendly.
- 3/5
Property is clean and well maintained, but when checking in they failed to mention that their would be no room cleaning. Stayed 4 nights with no new towels or sheets.
- 5/5
My one criticism was that we ended up staying in one of the older buildings and it had no elevator like the main, nicer hotel building. This really bothered my arthritic knees. If knee pain is an issue make sure to book in the main building which is newer, nicer and has an elevator. That section was full so they could not switch us. Plan ahead.
- 5/5
Great hotel room
- 5/5
Just across the road from the university and the art gallery and right next to the awesome Track Town Pizza
- 5/5
Hotel is new; very clean; great service from front desk; breakfast had good options; overall excellent
- 5/5
Had everything I needed for a weekend stay
- 5/5
Recently remodeled, awesome free breakfast, room was so clean, very fresh bath towels, gym, indoor pool. Across the street from Oregon Ducks University. Would stay here again. Thanks for your services
- 4/5
Needs new carpeting in the room.
- 5/5
Quick one night stay on our way through Oregon. Very nice hotel for what we saw of it.
- 5/5
Close to the University. Good breakfasts. Clean rooms. Nice pool.
- 5/5
Breakfast included rules.
- 5/5
Great breakfast!
- 5/5
The staff was amazing! Breakfast was delicious, beds were comfortable, everything is within walking distance.
- 5/5
They gave us the wrong room at check-in so we had to move. Other then that it was a wonderful stop along the way home.

The staff was friendly. The morning breakfast buffet was excellent. It is a great location for university of Oregon events many you can walk to. I would stay there again on my next trip back to Eugene

The Hayward had everything we needed. The rooms had fantastic air conditioning. The breakfast choices were varied and great. The staff was always helpful. This will definitely be our hotel of choice when we come back.

Great property and we will stay again. Staff was excellent. Only drawback is parking is tight. We came in later in the evening and is was hard to find a good spot that was not too narrow or close to our room.

Close to UO (walking distance)

Our room smelled like mildew and it is not properly advertised. Where you stay is separate from the check in building, so it is more motel like than hotel. Photos do not show this.

It was spacious and it had a very cute balcony. The beds were average for comfort shower had a great hot water. The pool stayed open late, which was one of the things that attracted us to this hotel. Some of the rooms are detached from the main hotel is there in separate buildings and they do have stairs without an elevator. If there’s anybody who has physical disabilities, the staff was absolutely amazing.
