The Continental breakfast was not great. They offered off brand cereal. It appeared to be fruit loops and tasted like a cardboard box. They had a few tangerines. They also servered biscuits and gravy round egg cakes. The juice and pancake batter were watered. Down one out of five. It was a lesson to be learned. I told my son today that you get what you paid for and we didn't pay a lot for the room. So it is what it is. I would think a hotel associated with a park like Carrowinds would have done better. I expected a lot more. I was very disappointed

Overall it was not bad. The bed was terrible. We stayed 3 nights and our backs got worse each night. The breakfast was not what was expected. Toast, cereal, biscuits, gravy, pancakes, eggs and bagels on Thursday and Friday. Saturday and Sunday no biscuits. No type of meat. It was clean and they did a good job cleaning the room each day while we were away.

There was a nice breakfast offered the air conditioner kept the room cool but I need have an issue with it but it was taken care of quickly.

We chose this hotel because it was close to Carowinds. It was exceptionally clean. The staff were very professional. Housekeeping came every morning and asked if we needed our room to be cleaned. The hotel is tucked away in a corner that allows for privacy and a peace of mind from the highway traffic. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!! The beds were not too bad but a little more firm than I would like!!

Loud music was booming until 4:30 am. We called then front desk 2-3 times starting at 1:30 am and they did nothing about it. Finally the music stopped at 4:30am. We got about 2 hours sleep! The worst experience ever in a hotel stay!

This location is really nice. Close to Charlotte Metro area. Far enough from the e-way too so no traffic noise was heard! Bonus points right there. Close enough to not be heard yet turn right at the traffic light yards from the hotel to access both N or S bound 77. Staff wonderful and accommodating. Only complaint is room was right across from vending machines so that was loud a couple of times.

This place was pristine and perfect for our needs. We needed a place for one night, close to the airport to fly out for an early flight (so we missed the breakfast). Not only is it just off the highway, but with the other hotel in front of it and the forest behind, it is nice and quiet. It is sparkling clean and very comfortable. I would definitely stay there again!

We have stayed here several times on our way to and from florida. The hotel itself is very clean and well maintained. There is a great Mexican restaurant just across the parking lot. And there is a Culver's just around the corner. Also situated so you do not have to go back out onto the main highways.

Check in was fast and easy. The room was super clean and freshened daily which was nice, but it is outdated which I don’t mind as long as it’s well maintained. I did see a roach in the bathroom as soon as I got into my room but he minded his business and I minded mine, that was the only time I saw one during my stay. Water pressure was amazing, hot water last for a while and the shower head felt like a nice massage. Would definitely stay again

If you’re traveling on a budget, this is a decent place. No frills, clean rooms, adequate breakfast, and easy access to highways. It was quiet, too. I also liked the bath essentials they provided - shampoo, conditioner, lotion… not overly scented.

There were people in the room above us that were extremely noisy most of the night. I spoke with the manager that evening and they didn’t really do anything about it. I mentioned changing rooms and there were no more available. We got like 3 hours sleep at best. It was a very bad experience and I personally think I should get my money back.

The room was very clean! The staff in the Am were very kind and polite. The guy that checked us in at 11pm was not but once we got past that it was all together a great stay! We were maybe 4 minutes away from Carowinds. We will be back if we plan to do a trip to Carowinds again.

The room was clean. The chair in the room needs an update. The breakfast was enough,but it could have had fried potatoes and bananas. The motel was close to Narroway,so driving after dark wasn't too much of an issue.

We only stayed one night after a day at Carowinds. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The hotel is tucked back at the end of a street next to another hotel that is being renovated so it was very quiet! It's in a convenient location to get to Carowinds, local restaurants and other shopping.

I stayed 2 nights. The hotel was mostly vacant. However there was someone in the room directly above me and I could hear every step they took through the thin ceiling. The breakfast window is rather short (7-9am) and would better serve guests if it were open from say, 6-10am.

We did not stay at your hotel and if you charged me for either night, you need to refund the money to my card. The man working at the front desk was the rudest, most undesirable person I have ever seen work at the front desk of any hotel! I worked for hotels for over 10 yrs and have never seen any front desk person be so rude to their customers. We started to check in and that was when I found out I needed to transfer money to my card because this man, announced to everyone that I had $5.00 available on my card! How he knew that, i am not sure, we were never given balances of customers accounts. But that was blatently rude and uncalled for. I told him i had to transfer some money. Before I could get the transfer done, he kicked my fiancee out of the lobby (I was outside making transfer) once again making statement outloud that I only had $5 on my card! Something that should NEVER have been announced! And then when my fiancee came out and told me this, i was walking back into hotel, just as police arrived! I asked the officer if he was there because of us. He was. That man you have behind the desk, who has no business being in that position, had called the police on us! I told the officer i was only transferring the money to my card and he replied yes, the front desk man told HIM I only had $5 on my card!!!!!! I told him no problem, i was going to a different hotel and this problem needed to be corrected before I would rent from any Best Western Hotel again!

Room was clean and smelled wonderful, plenty of toiletries ,a/c worked really well and a great quality tv. Good options for breakfast and everything was delicious.

If you’re expecting to get coffee after breakfast hours, you can forget it. Stayed at a Holiday Inn express the night before they weren’t the best but they sure surpassed this place would not stay here again.

The place was clean, but a little overpriced for what it is. I have stayed at much nicer properties with bigger and nicer rooms for less money than what I was charged for this place.

We’re grateful for having breakfast at the hotel. Nice variety of dishes and the food that’s supposed to be hot is hot. Good job!

The woman that checked us in was so friendly. She really went out of her way to help us check in as soon as possible. The staff was friendly at breakfast as well even though we arrived just a few minutes prior to the ending of breakfast.

Check in was quick and easy, everything worked and was clean. Slight smell in the hotel but the room was fine, didn’t bother us on our stay. Had breakfast ready in the morning but we didn’t have time to eat although it smelled good. Overall good experience, had bad times at other unaffiliated hotels so we did inspect the room quite a bit. For the price and location (we stayed for carowinds) you can’t really beat it. PS there’s a Mexican restaurant next door, which is nice for a meal and overconsumption of adult beverages being as you wouldn’t need to drive or get an uber ;)

The room was adequate with a great shower... good water pressure! The a/c cutting off and on was loud and annoying. The hair dryer did not work correctly and soap/shampoo was quite small.

The jacuzzi tub in the room was great but there was $100 "refundable deposit" I had to pay once I got there but was never told when it would be released back. There was no warning about it from the business ahead of time.

Location was good. Room was clean and fairly comfortable. Customer service was lacking in the friendliness department. My one big complaint tho was breakfast. The biscuits were so hard we couldnt break them open to eat. Couldnt cut them with a knife or even stab them with a fork. It was laughable. The eggs were definitely powdered eggs, but of the absolute worst kind and even the cereal was off brand cereal. We threw everything away and went somewhere for breakfast. We arent even food snobs. Ive eaten mediocre food before but this stuff (especially the biscuits) was inedible.

In the building smelt of weed! Parking lot smelt like something died and rotted and dripping noise all night with nothing dripping in room or bathroom! Not much sleep due to the noise!Nothing really there at 7:20 for complimentary breakfast!

This hotel was not good at all. As soon as we drove in, property looked dirty, the building looked very old. When we walked in the lobby, smell was horrible even at 11:00pm. TV in the room didn’t work. There were old smelly blankets, horrible beds and pillows. The curtains looked very old as well. All lamps were bright, some didn’t have light bulbs. The carpet in general smelled and was old. Not good hotel at all.

Our room had bed bugs. I am highly allergic to them. We had to leave in the middle of the night to go to the hospital. Not a great experience. They only offered one night refund when we left the first night of our 2 noght stay. I have yet to receive my refund.

My daughter and I stayed here 3 nights for a trip to Carowinds! We frequent Carowinds, but have never stayed here before. We definitely will be back. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The room was clean. It was a bit hot at first and I do not do well in the heat, but it cooled down after a couple hours. Pool was clean. Breakfast was good. Felt very safe which has not been the case in some other hotels near the area. Also, the beds were comfortable. Just a great place to stay.

The rooms were clean but just plain worn out. Redone many times, holes patched and repatched in walls. Everything just seemed old from curtains to bedspreads. Continental breakfast extremely limited and unappealing.

Again me and my family has stayed in this hotel for the second time,room clean no smelly dog odor, i am happy that this a none pet hotel, close to carowinds amusement park which we visited while staying there,customer service excellent, would recommend for you to stay there,bed excellent no hurt back in the morning,would stay again in the near future.

The weed smell is the only thing which we could complain.

Stopped for the night on the way back from Cocoa Beach to Ohio. Very clean room and bathroom. Very courteous & friendly staff. Room was a bit dated(no USB outlets, pillows could be better), but if you travel and don't carry a brick or two, are you really a traveler? We would definitely stay again.

While this facility seems to be in decent condition, I have to call them out on some pretty serious safety issues. Every stairwell door in the building was blocked open with wedges upon our arrival. As a retired fire inspector, I know how serious this fire code violation is. The local fire marshal has been notified, and hopefully, they will be getting a visit.

We enjoyed our stay at this Best Western. The place was right near Carowinds which is why we were in the area. The room was clean and well stocked. I was a little disappointed that the cleaning people did not knock on the door when entering. Scaring both myself and my kid. No a big deal but still concerning. Breakfast was serviceable but limited options. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

We booked this hotel because it has 8.2 stars on Expedia. There is no way that is correct. The pool closed at 8 pm so after driving for 6 hours to get there we were unable to swim. The hotel in general stinks but the room we stayed in on the third floor smelled like cigarette smoke. The toilet was broken and unable to be flushed. The shower was dirty and the stopper for the bathtub was broken. Which I wouldn’t let my 3 year old granddaughter sit in the tub anyhow. Also the coffee maker was sitting on the bathroom sink, which was disgusting. The mattresses were very incus were the pillows. Outside was dirty and unkept. Expedia really needs to look into the 10/10 reviews because I suspect the property manager/staff are posting those themselves. DO not stay at this hotel!

On check in the guy could barely speak English could hardly understand him. Room because of being old had a renuzit air freshener that was stifling. Even tho the temp was set at 70 it was hot in room. And the “coffee” shouldn’t be called coffee. Just colored water it wasn’t even weak coffee

We stayed overnight after a day at Carowinds. When we pulled up there were a group of 3 men that exited the woods next to the parking lot, which made me a bit nervous. The front desk staff was very friendly, although dressed very casual (random tshirt, shorts, flip flops). The property was appeared tidy. Pool felt warm. The lobby/dining area at the main entrance is very small. Breakfast was pretty limited, and the front desk staff person seemed to be food handling in addition to his front desk duties. There were some minor maintenance issues that could make the room more appealing. My bed was clean and comfortable, which I appreciated after a 10 hour day of walking the park. I would probably stay here again, as the price was right - but only for an overnight pit stop.

The entry drive to the hotel and the parking lot are in poor condition. Lot needs repaving, very little care taken for the growth along the drive and around the property in general. The aesthetics as you enter make it appear that we had selected a dump. The hotel itself was well taken care of and the staff gracious. Just gives the opposite impression from when you turn in at the hotel sign and all around the outside.

This is a really nice place to stay. I was treated very well and the rooms are extremely well kept. Perfect across the street access to Carowinds. Can walk to Starbucks, Culver’s and Circle K - with the exception of a few locals disturbing the scene, although nothing of concerning manner.

The guy upfront was super friendly. He accommodated us with the first floor because of handicap. Beds aren't as comfortable, and the sheets were torn, could use different blankets underneath for cozier bed. Nice to have s laundry facility.

My son and I stayed here for a soccer tournament in the area, so we weren't in the room that much other than to sleep. The room was fine, nothing special. The breakfast was limited compared to other hotels we have stayed in but again it was fine. For about fifty dollars less per night ,compared to the "team" hotel, it was worth it.

They are not returning my calls, I checked out a day earlier and they won’t communicate with me to let me know that they will refund me for the earlier check out.
