Good stay

The breakfast was very good!
- 5/5
For the location and price you really can’t beat it. Me and my 11 year old daughter stayed there and we were more than happy with the experience. The breakfast is really good too and has more than I thought it would! Definitely will be back to stay again!
- 4/5
My only complaint is that I had paid in full upfront on the website but at check-in they asked me to scan my card and they were charging me $270 I asked what is this? They said what I paid was only to hold the room. I showed receipt and conformation number and insisted that I have already paid and after a few minutes they said I don’t owe anything. It could have been an honest mistake but it seemed fishy.
- 4/5
The only issue was that I was charged an additional service tax at check-in/check-out, which I was not expecting since my reservation had already been prepaid. This charge was not clearly mentioned during the booking process. Better transparency regarding any additional fees would improve the guest experience. Overall, it was a good stay, and I would consider staying here again.
- 3/5
one room bedside lights and microwave did not work, plus big roaches. second room telephone and wall lamp did not work.
- 4/5
Great spot to stay in on the budget. Very neat and clean although the room had a very dated look. In my room, the microwave looked like something exploded in it and they couldn’t clean it out and the bathroom needed a bit of updating. But overall, the stay was very comfortable. The lights need to be replaced as one of the lamps didn’t work at all. The bed on the other hand was extremely comfortable pillows, very comfortable so I was able to get good sleep. The hotel‘s location was excellent. It’s in the middle of everything and directly walking distance across from Carowinds amusement park.
- 3/5
The location was great for Carowinds. The hot water and water pressure for the shower was great. The a/c was nice and cool which was great after a long day at Carowinds. The breakfast was fresh we'll stocked and great variety. We didnt use the pool. It seemed small and had no shade but it was open until 10pm which was later than other hotels we have stayed at. I think we got a bad room. We stayed in 141 and the floor was sticking up. I was concerned it was from water damage and there could be mold. There seemed to be some recent fixes to the bathroom but didnt look good. When house cleaning came around to turn over other rooms I walked around and noticed a lot of the rooms on the first floor had this issue with the floor.. Also, the mattress was very very firm. I am a stomach sleeper and almost hurt to sleep.
- 4/5
Is a straight place to stay for the price and Carowinds right across the street

Overall good stay. Found a cockroach in the bathroom 😬 might need a pest control soon
- 5/5
Everything was great! From check in to check out, cleanliness was top tier. No complaints about anything!

I like that the hotel was close to the amusement park. If you did not want to drive you can actually walk.i had issues with my other two rooms that I booked. The customer service Tiffany helped me to get it situated. She went beyond. She even helped me with my third party She was the best and not rude at all. I think all the staffing I talked to was great. The only thing wrong with the room is that the toilet flushes real slow. You actually had to stand there and watch it.
- 2.5/5
Breakfast was not hot, in fact barely warm except if we had had time for Waffles, which were make your own. The eggs, bacon, and sausage could have been sooo much better if they had be anything above lukewarm.
- 1/5
I’m giving this one star because I booked through Expedia… Paid through Expedia… And they still charged me five dollars when I checked into the hotel… (This was not disclosed and I have never had to pay extra at a hotel once I’ve already paid through a third-party website!) management – Please update your policy or you may get unhappy customers… There’s no point in making unhappy customers over trying to grift five dollars per booking.

The location near Carowinds was convenient, and the first night of our stay was fine. Our stay was completely ruined by the guests in the neighboring room repeatedly smoking marijuana and causing excessive noise throughout the night. The smell was so strong it came directly into our room and caused issues for my child, who has asthma. We also travel with two medical service dogs trained to alert to seizures and breathing issues, and our asthma alert dog was repeatedly alerting throughout the night because of my child’s breathing problems from the smoke exposure. I reported the disturbance and marijuana smell to the front office and was assured it would be handled, yet the problem continued all night. We ultimately left our trip a day early because my child could not sleep and neither could the rest of the family. What made the situation even more frustrating was the response afterward. The General Manager claimed there was “no noise” in the video evidence I emailed, despite the disturbance being obvious. I was then told there was no report made, even though I directly contacted the front office during our stay. Instead of addressing legitimate concerns from a family traveling with children and medical service dogs, the issue was dismissed entirely. I was not asking for a full refund — only one night refunded due to the conditions we experienced. For a family-oriented hotel near an amusement park, the handling of this situation was extremely disappointing.
- 5/5
The proximity to carowinds after our long day at the park was great. Coming back to shower our dinner gave us plenty of time to relax between activities. It was very busy but that’s not the hotel’s fault! If anything it was good to know it was so popular

Run down / mold on shower ceiling/ shower did not drain well / toilet would not flush well/ blankets had holes/ lamp was broken.

Good breakfast. Decent room. I wish our room had more charging points though. Also the shampoo conditioner that they gave was very mediocre. But it's stones throw to Carowinds. So we just walked across to the park. Bathroom accessories
- 4/5
Perfectly fine hotel, especially if you are heading to Carowinds--it is basically in the parking lot of the park. You could easily walk to the park, or a very short drive. Nice included breakfast. Staff was very helpful in that I had (2) separate reservations for the different days, and they were able to let us stay in our same room
- 3/5
The hotel room carpet was dirty. The drain in the shower was broken. There was an electrical wire hanging under the sink exposed. The rest of the room was clean.

The staff was friendly and helpful.

The gas smell in the room and hallway made us sick and told staff and they didn’t care just moved us rooms and the room was not good at all toilet ran non stop and the refrigerator didn’t work and pee stain on sheets staff was to busy sleeping in the back room when I went to check out and had to wait for a bit to get helped

- 4/5
Parking was great. Staff was great. Beds were comfy. The breakfast was good. Not a large selection but good. A minor complaint would be that the shower curtains don't stay stretched out since the little latch to hold the curtains in place were installed upside down instead of right side up leaving nothing to hook on to in order to hold in place.

The first room they gave me smelled very strong of smoke but they gave me a different room without any hesitation. Hotel was quiet and clean.
- 3/5
We booked a suit and they switched us to a single king after we got there. I thought we were entitled to what we booked on Expedia. The guy said we didn't need a suite with a handicap accessible shower. Wth? This is the first problem we have ever had with a booking. Our comforter had blood on it. When we asked for a clean comforter we were told they had no clean blankets , the doors were locked? Took 30 minutes for them to come up with a new one, not even sure if it was a clean one or just one without the blood stain. I'm guessing they switched us to a cheaper room since we booked thru Expedia and saved the suite for a higher paying booking. Very unhappy with our stay.

The breakfast was just a disappointment no juice no milk very little of other stuff. Elevators very slow n the lights for them don't work so ur not sure if it signals for it.
- 2/5
Liked the location The beds were hard some staff was not friendly, room was not clean dirt was on the sheets.
- 2/5
I reserved a handicap room but did not get one, so we asked to be moved into a handicapped room as I had resevered - on the third try, I accepted a room which was called "Handicap Accessible" - only handicap items provided were a walk-in shower and a shower chair. The walk-in shower did not hold water which means the bathroom floor got wet and was a slipping hazard. The bathroom had a "lip" in the doorway which would be hard to get a wheelchair over and also a tripping hazard. The shower head was fixed, definitely not friendly for someone with mobility issues. The room was halfway down the hallway, which was difficult since I have to use a walker. The bed was high and difficult to get into. Although I have stayed in this hotel before I became mobility impaired, I will not stay here again.

Staff failed at the end of my stay sorry
- 1/5
Can't let guest attack confront another guest about their pet that should be handled by hotel staff and when it's witnessed by staff they should stop and prevent it from happening
- 4/5
Pet policy for guest isn't posted leaving Costomers to break rules they aren't aware of I just learned this morning my esa pet isn't really allowed in the public dinning room and isn't allowed to be left in room unattended so that would only lead me to believe after paying extra for my pet I lose my complementary breakfast because people with pets aren't allowed in public areas with pets and it's ok for the guest to confront you and then say you are confrontational theses places advertise pet friendly and esa pets are a prescription for emotional support if a guest is attacking another guest about how nasty there prescription is that's not ok so why is it ever allowed to happen when I already have to pay more
- 5/5
Staff is friendly smiling and polite rooms are 5 stars and extremely comfortable and the breakfast is a huge Plus it almost feels like home and it's almost worth doubling what I paid at motel 6 but it's not affordable for my situation and I wish it was 😢 because I would give 10 stars the way I feel here.

We arrived very late, and the host responded immediately. The room was spotless, organized, and had everything we needed. It was perfect for our small group—comfortable, cool, and a great place to relax. Overall, a great experience and an excellent stay in Charlotte. I would definitely book again.

- 5/5
I had a great stay here at this hotel. The people are friendly, kind, and very helpful. When I did have a situation arise. It was taken care of immediately, special thanks goes out to.. I think he’s assistant manager Zaylen.
- 3/5
I enjoyed my stay for the most part but the place is definitely in need of a refresh whole place had a smell of cigarettes but was cheap staff was really professional and kind free breakfast was hot and pretty tasty.
- 5/5
Comfortable room
- 2/5
From the desk person on the night shift was rude
- 4/5
Toilet was not thoroughly cleaned because there were numerous visible yellow spots along the toilet that wiped off with toilet paper.
- 2/5
The room bathroom was not clean, each corners where dirty and hairs everywhere. The towels where stained. The carpet was torn and worn down. Someone spilled food in the elevator and no one cleaned up the our entire stay. The front counter staff was not very friendly and seemed annoyed to assist with questions or checking in and out. The kitchen staff member for breakfast however, was very pleasant and friendly, and was cleaning up the floors and tables as people left.
- 1/5
I found a cockroach in my room. I immediately got switched to a different room but no refund was offered.
- 2/5
Many things in the room didn't work. Replacement items were not delivered for what could be replaced, despite my asking. The noise in the hall and parking lots was a bit too much. That said, the breakfast was good and the location was unbeatable.
- 3/5
No, black mold on the celling in the BR
- 2/5
Cons: I think I was conned into paying a bogus extra $10 for “use of the facilities”. I also think I was discriminated against and was given the first floor room beside the ice machine and elevator even though the hotel didn’t look fully booked.
- 5/5
This was our third time staying here and we really enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend staying here. Very convenient to shopping, restaurants, and etc..

- 2.5/5
One of the best locations. If you're going to Carowinds. You can walk across the road and leave your car at the hotel. As so many others have said in reviews, this place is pretty beat up and dirty.
- 1/5
room 107 had the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in. it had some sort of metallic frame that was very noisy. also, was charged ~5.00 at check in for a "service fee" or something like that. this was in conflict your website hotels.com which stated "this is the amount you will pay". just inaccurate. doubt I'll use hotels.com or the hotel again.
- 4/5
My stay was great. Only issue is the shower water doesn't get hot.
- 1/5
We booked a room with two queen beds. After we checked in the room keys did not work to open our door. So, I told the receptionist and they gave us new room keys, which also didn't work. So they provided a "free upgrade to a suite" which only had one bed and a pull out couch. My kids said the couch bed was very uncomfortable. The suite also reeked of smoke.
- 3/5
The night auditor was excellent. Displayed professionalism and excellent customer service. Toilet wasn't working properly the first night of a two day stay. The hotel is old and need to be upgraded in several areas. The down button on elevator didn't work.
- 2/5
breakfast was ok, room had roaches
- 4/5
For the most part clean property and convenient to a lot around the area; specially Carowinds!
- 4/5
Air conditioning work wonderfully in the room.
- 5/5
Nicest staff of any hotel we’ve stayed! There was a water main break in the area during our stay and the hotel had no water, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate everyone. The hotel is right across from Carowinds, super convenient. The hotel is dated, but very clean. We will definitely stay here in the future.
- 5/5
There was a fly in the bathroom. I killed the fly. End of story.
- 5/5
We came to town to have breakfast with our grandson, the ease of check in and the room was great. We stay here whenever we come to this side of NC/SC and will definitely be back.
- 4/5
Very convenient. Helpful staff. Variety for breakfast.
- 4/5
A very comfortable hotel for the price, the breakfast was very good
- 3/5
Quiet, cheap, good for like a quick night, not worth staying there for more than weekend
- 5/5
It was a good place to stay a night
- 2/5
Rooms are not well suppland the breakfast is not that good.
- 5/5
Right at the park
- 5/5
Wonderful service
- 2/5
After paying Expedia in full for our hotel stay we were charged an additional $4 a night when we arrived at the Comfort Inn, Fort Mill. The hotel and our room were old and a bit shabby. The hotel is in dire need of a renovation.
- 5/5
Great breakfast, nice pool, close to Carowinds shopping and interstate. Only drawback was slightly uncomfortable bed
- 4/5
Quick easy breakfast
- 5/5
My dad and I always stay here due to its proximity to Carowinds. The Comfort Inn continues to deliver. The beds are extremely comfy and rooms get dark at night, thanks to the blackout curtains. Breakfast is always a plus: well-stocked and plenty of options. Staff is great and takes care of their guests. Pool is a fun amenity at end of the day. Plenty of dining options nearby. If you want to go into Uptown Charlotte, this hotel is also close enough. This hotel is always my first option when coming to Carowinds.
- 4/5
My husband and I really enjoyed our experience. Our only complaints were to low water pressure in the shower and slow toilet. Staff was professional and friendly.
- 2/5
Terrible beds. Hotel does not offer roll out beds or baby cribs. There was an outlet with cables sticking out and no cover. One of the lamps cables just hanging with no power. Breakfast was good, the staff was pleasant.
- 2/5
Only one elevator ..
- 4/5
The Bed was uncomfortable but Breakfast was Great!
- 4/5
Right next to Carowinds with restaurants and gas stations in walking distance so that’s nice. It’s a great hotel for what it is. The free breakfast was good. Staff was very friendly.
- 3/5
Bathroom is tight. Bed is good.
- 1/5
cockroach everywhere in the wall, in the bed, bathroom cockroach crawling,,, the fruits are old
- 1/5
The first room I hit to move out of the ceiling was falling in the walls were crumbling the second room that I went to roaches crawling all over the walls all over the beds I've never seen anything like this in a hotel that I have stayed in for $100 never
- 3/5
This place was very close and convenient to Carowinds.
- 3/5
Old outdated mattress
- 4/5
Breakfast was Horrible and didnt seem fresh. Rooms are nice. Put on the AC. Halls and entrance were very hot. Dont charge me a Facility fee to use the pool thats stupid and dumb. Thats like a restaurant charging me for Ketchup or Ranch.
- 2/5
Positive about hotel was the breakfast buffet, fresh and tasted good. If a pool and clean bathtub was not important, then everything else was okay with hotel.
- 3/5
Room is alright. Cannot use the safe. Unexpected hotel fees.
- 5/5
It was a pleasant stay. It was a great location right next to Carowinds with solid eateries within walking distance. Would definitely stay again.
- 3/5
On May 18, I stayed in this hotel and I booked this hotel through Expedia and paid in full, including Hotel Service Fee of $4.77. However, at the checkin, the man at desk told me that I needed to pay the Hotel Service Fee of $4.77. I told him and showed to him the receipt that I have already paid this fee to Expedia. He said that I need to pay or I can't stay there. I asked if I could speak to the manager and he told me that I can speak to her tomorrow. It was late and I felt I had no choice so I paid again for this fee. Next morning I talked to the manager and she told me I had to pay but I can talk to Expedia so I did. I have since spoken to Expedia three times and it tried to call the hotel but no result. I am not happy for this because I was double charged. Even though this was not a great amount of money, it was the practice of both Expedia and this hotel. I will not book this hotel again and may witch to a different booking company.
- 3/5
The hotel is pretty average. Parts of the area feel kind of sketchy, but Carowinds is within walking distance.
- 3/5
This wasn’t the worst hotel we’ve stayed in, but definitely on the below average end. We knew we would only need it for sleeping one night- so we didn’t want to spend a ton. The people were nice, but it was not updated. The beds were not comfortable, the pillows were tiny (not even a regular sized pillow), bathroom was tiny. Internet was not great. No waffle maker at breakfast.
- 4/5
Breakfast was good and the proximity to the theme park was ideal.
- 2/5
The baseboard on my room was not attached to the wall, the carpet was dirty and the tv in my room was broken. I reported it the front office and they said they would have maintenance come by but they never came.
- 3/5
Staff was welconing and accomodating. Not as clean or as well maintained as it could have been.
- 3/5
Property needs friendlier staff and needs to communicate better if they offer text messaging for requests.
- 1/5
Pool not closed when lighting and remained open all night.
- 1/5
I booked 2 rooms. Hotel could only see 1 on their end. Apparently they booked the 2nd room for me onsite at a higher rate even though my Expedia reservation clearly showed 2 rooms
- 3/5
The room was just okay. Curtains were very stained; looked like a “diddy scene” could have taken place there. The corners of the room looked dirty and warped, maybe from water leak. Lots of teens running the halls but I guess being so close to amusement park that is to be expected. Thankfully I had a sound machine. The air conditioning unit would not change functions so the settling we arrived in was the setting that had to stay. Beds seemed clean. Pool closed due to storm but didn’t open back even after, although it was over an hour time still left before it was supposed to close for the night.
- 1/5
Horrible experience, toilet would not flush, air conditioning did not work and was overheating and smelling like it was going to catch on fire. They offered us another room after we had already unpacked and gone to bed. The entire hotel was very sketchy.
- 5/5
I would return
- 5/5
Great staff, clean rooms and Great Breakfast.
- 5/5
Everything was great.
- 3/5
We came for the amusement park, Carowinds is across the street and that’s convenient for walking over. The rooms floor lamp was broken and 2 of the outlets didn’t work. I think there was wi-fi issues, Roku didn’t work. The remote didn’t have a battery cover. When trying to use tv, the batteries would fall out of remote. Beds seemed really clean, but it’s been a while since someone swept the edges of the room. You get what you pay for here. Hotel is inexpensive and you get a basic cheap stay. So much opportunity to invest in the rooms and capitalize on the great location. If all you need to do is sleep here, it would be fine. There is a free breakfast and my son enjoyed the waffles.
- 1/5
If it was possible to give a negative rating, this location would earn it. The hotel is filthy from top to bottom. The staff is inattentive and the housekeeping staff is very bad at their job. Issues were brought to the attention of management only to have them not care, much like how they don’t care about the hotels condition. I found blood (not mine) on the bedding, scheduled out early and asked them to refund my two unused nights, they refused. Asked hotels.com to try and get my refund, they refused to refund to them as well. With all my heart, please consider strongly before you book here. I am adding a photo of the blood on the bedding if you don’t see it, they have censored this review. Looking forward to my refund.
- 2/5
Love the proximity to places, and even the small things that we had an issue with, we found easy fixes. For the price it is really not a bad space
- 5/5
Great location, excellent dining options and clean rooms.
- 4/5
We've stayed at this property several times and it has always met our needs. It isn't super posh but it's clean, staff is knowledgeable and kind, and we'll probably stay there again in the future.
- 3/5
Jay is a very nice man and it was close to Mc'Donald's.
- 4/5
Bathroom was not cleaned, tub was nasty
- 4/5
We have stayed here a couple times now it’s perfect distance from Carowinds. They are very clean. We have never had any issues with anything like that. Furniture is usually comfortable. In the offer and everything.
- 5/5
staff was helpful, place was clean. loved the little store next to check in! would stay again.
- 5/5
Great
- 4/5
It was ok
- 5/5
This hotel was amazing for the price! The rooms were clean, the beds were great and there was no visible issues with the ceiling or bathroom. Micro, tv and refrigerator worked great. There is only one elevator which was a bit crowded at times, but that did not take away from our stay. The breakfast was AMAZING! Eggs, sausage, biscuits/gravy, home made hashbrowns, waffle maker, cereal, coffee/juice. :-) We didn't have to eat until after the LAX tournament! Thanks for a great night! *****

Our room was by the elevator all night we heard people talking and kids screaming on the 3rd floor. They should have a quiet time from 10pm-6am to give the guest time to actually get some rest and not be woken up by noise.

Toilet ran all night and the toilet was. Wry loose. The rooms need some updating but all in all it was decent.

The hotel was okay. We had an issue with the toilet upon arrival. The staff sent someone immediately to fix it. Overall, the hotel needs updating.

Desk clerks not very personable. Condition of the bathroom ceiling & door were bad. Carpeting dirty. Hallways smelled of smoke (cigs & pot).

The AC was rattley and loud hard to sleep through. Room had musty smell. Didn’t complain as we only stayed 2 nights.

Great price for the location and convenience.

My kids and I enjoyed the stay

Close to amusement park, but didn't like dirty bathroom

I didn't like that my shades could not close. The street light poles kept me up a bit at night and the sunlight peeked through in the day. Loved everything else.

The location was great however, our roomed smelled of cigarette smoke and was not very clean.

The stag and the room was nice. It's proximity to the park was a plus.

Pool noise past 11:00pm, people smoking on patio - you could smell the smoke in the room - beer cans thrown on ground by pool area. Felt a little unsafe at night as a single female.

I drove from 2 hours away to bring my children to Anne Springs Close Greenway for the weekend. We got a room close to the pool so i could take them swimming when we got back from enjoying that park for the day. I’m widowed and my youngest kids are 5,5,3,2… one of them has a feeding tube and CP. The website said the pool closed at 10p. At midnight there were still about 20 people in the pool with loud music, alcohol and yelling. I called to ask the front desk to please close the pool. They said they would. At 0200am my kids were still crying, the baby was so tired he was vomiting, so i called again and things finally quieted down. By today they were too tired so we had to just go home. The breakfast was good and there were lots of pillows. It was hard to physically leave because housekeeping has their carts and buckets blocking the hallways.

Better cleaning, needs upgrade. popcorn ceiling falling apart, walls with a bunch of crackd, elevator took forever. I would never stay here again.

This is my second trip to this hotel. It is very close to Carowinds and so easy to find the room was very clean. The beds are comfortable. The only thing that needed updating was the bathroom ceiling but the bathroom shower had been just updated. They have a great breakfast with a lot of different choices appears to be very clean. Nice staff.

Better than sleeping in a tent.

We had to be out of our home during some renovation work following mold remediation. I am very cautious about hotels due to our mold exposure. I routinely check the air filters in PTAC units and check bavk tanks of toilets. We had adjoining rooms and the one room had a filthy air filter that I attempted to clean myself in the bathtub. The adjoining room had mold in the toilet tank so I closed off that toilet and had everyone using the one toilet. We ended up returning to our house the next day and determined we could sleep indoors later that night so we grabbed our belongings and checked out. The staff was very friendly and to be honest I’m not even sure if my husband told them the issue so in fairness they weren’t given the chance to make it right. That said, I’m sensitive to mold and likely would have left no matter what. Mold is everywhere and not everyone is sensitive to it. But if you are it’s really hard to stay in any hotels. The location was great and had we been able to stay we would have enjoyed Carowinds!!

Water pipe busted underneath the sink at 3am went to the front desk nobody, it is 4am and i have been sitting here waiting on someone while the water is still rising i might be swimming out of here

showed up and the person at the front desk was actually one of the nicest people I've encountered ever, they allowed me to keep my bag at the desk which really helped me out after I had checked out. You can literally see Carowinds from the parking lot, so if thats why you're in the area this is a perfect hotel, room did have a big of a musty (not smokey) smell, I did not mention it or really care, but based on my experience with the staff, they would have fixed this in two seconds. Also theres a Daves famous and twin peaks also within seconds of the hotel.

Good location but the hotel has seen better days. Room was clean and ready. Good hotel for the price.

My over all stay was fine. This was a family trip that we planned for months. Every thing was good until my nephews truck was broken into Friday night Saturday morning April 18 - April 19, 2025. We had to call the police to file a report then found out that this has been happening g at the hotels in the area. The Hotel should have made their guest aware of what was going on in this area so that they would be aware and informed. When guest are checking in a courtesy conversation to mention what was going on in the area would have been nice. And also should have had security patrolling the area periodically. Safety should always be the number one concern.

Everything was great! The beds was comfortable. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly. I will definitely stay again in the future. 😊

Unable to reach staff at the front desk. Front desk staff seemed to have an attitude and wouldn’t even tell me where my room was. Used tissue rolls left in room we checked into as well as cigarette burn holes in sheets of the bed as well.

The hotel was in a good spot close to carowinds and also close to a few restaurants very convenient!

We had a great time. Friendly staff.

Stay clear of this hotel!!! Our room was infested with German Cockroaches! I told the front desk employee and he told me all he could do was to tell housekeeping. He never said another word nor apologized! He did not care at all! We were extremely disappointed.

La chambre était bien ordinaire avec un vieux tapis déchiré. Assez ordinaire mais parfait pour un soir seulement

While the staff at this hotel was absolutely wonderful, we had to change rooms multiple times due to various issues. The first rooms bathroom flooded as soon as we used the sink. We were quickly moved to another room. It smelled heavily of weed and cigarette smoke but we were exhausted and stayed. The next morning, I noticed that there was dried vomit on the comforter we had slept under. The room in general was just very dirty. The hotel did change the bedding and refund us one night but I would definitely not stay at this property again. They appear to have major issues with their housekeepers. The front desk staff was great though.

We didn’t see any or have any interaction with day shift… but the lady that work that night shift was extremely helpful and nice . She did a very good job of making feel welcome and comfortable.

We were there for 5 nights and we never had any cleaners come to the room. When calling the office to ask them if they could at least bring towels the front desk told me no I would need to go down as she was alone. Also several days they had no milk for the cereal, they had no bread for toast and one day they did not have the waffle mix.

Just a few years ago, this was our favorite hotel to stay at. It was very clean, updated and had a great breakfast that beat most local breakfast restaurants. This trip proved to be a 180 degree different experience. Upon arrival, we had to wait and then yell to the back to get someone to come to the front desk to check us in. We were never welcomed as guest under any circumstances. Throughout the stay, everyone we came in contact with did not have a uniform on and carried the same unwelcoming demeanor. Upon walking to our room, we found a lack of upkeep and cleanliness to the facility; elevator buttons broken, tile damaged, walls damaged, 1st floor smelling of smoke and hallways not vacuumed. Our room had dirty bathroom tub corners and mold on the ceiling. The water pressure was sub par to even shower. The carpet was very worn and dirty. Room also showed a lack of upkeep; carpet pulling from the wall, chair very worn and dirty, other furniture scraped up and worn as well. As we departed, we hoped that the breakfast would make up for the experience but only added to the horrible experience. Breakfast was completely out! No hot food whatsoever and after reviewing other options, only found cereal available. We informed the front desk and he stated they only had one cook and were busy. We’ve always seen the breakfast area just as busy during our stays and it never affected the quality and availability of food. Overall, it’s apparent that leadership is needed in this hotel.

As someone who has issues sleeping, I’ve never been so rested in my life! The bath and bed were super comfortable, and breakfast was good too. Love the location right across from Carowinds…Thunderstriker was taunting me all night!
