    Hotel could use an update. First thing we notice when we walked in was cockroaches roaming the floor. Weird person at the front desk as well. He would just laugh for no reason while check in us in.

    It's a great hotel only problem we had was the tub was clogged and the carpet felt dirty, the staff was amazing kids loved the pool and we loved the hot tub.i recommend it to everyone the price was great ,had an amazing time.please don't forget to turn on your fridge, I didn't know I had to turn it on until the my third day their😂

    I was not available to use the restroom and I told the staff and they told me that they can’t do nothing about it because I was using this app to rent the hotel. Honestly it was a bad experience I don’t recommend it !!

    Staff seemed annoyed when asking questions. There was no coffee and the fruit was the fruit cups you eat as a kid. Location was the highlight because it’s near Hollywood sign. Griffith park, Warner brothers and Disney. They said we had a view but it was a wall and I did request a lower level so my fault. Room was clean and ac was cold.

    Pretty basic room was cleanish but the bathroom was pretty bad and the shower was to low on the wall for me and I'm 5'4" the knobs the shower and sink were backwards and the water pressure was a joke. Over all it was ok for the price but barley.

    I was very disappointed with my stay... my room smelled like cigarette smoke and requested a room change. I was granted a room change but seemed to just get worst. the other room had no pillows and when I turned on the shower, the water came out brown. I ended up keeping my original room and a very helpful housekeeper went in and sprayed disinfectant spray and made it a bit better. My daughter also booked a room there and her room was clean and smelled great. I will not stay here again, & feel like the hotel is overpriced and not well maintained.

    I liked the location of the place. Staff wasn’t friendly at check in. I mentioned to the receptionist that I had already done the pre check in prior to coming and with a negative tone she said “well I cannot see that so I still have to ask” There is now a fee to park. I just came with my mom in March and it was free. Also, there was very strong smell of marijuana and cigarettes in the hallways, beds were not comfortable and baseboards were filthy.

    Plenty of parking. $10 to park per night. Pretty large hotel. Older hotel. Close to everything. I understand it’s an older hotel but it’s 2026 and the room was lacking outlets or plugs for electronics. Most hotels will have usb-c, usb, regular outlet plugs at the nightstand or nearby the beds. Our room did not. We did find extra plugs at the back of the tv, tv stand. The room also did not have an iron and those who checked them out at reception had not returned them. No microwave in the room, but one at the lobby accessible to all.

    We checked in to find out that the toilet backs up in to the bathtub. The manager said, "it happens all the time". House keeping came up to clean the tub, and she confirmed that it's an ongoing problem. We then decided that this is a huge health hazard. We told the front desk that we would be checking out and wanted a refund. We had to find other accommodations. Disgusting and a serious health issue for the guests. Will not reserve this hotel ever again.

    This is a terrible one of all the hotels I stayed in LA . Hated everything sorry. From the staff and all. I don’t recommend this hotel. I brought my pet which is a service dog but they still wanted me to pay the pet fee , it said on their site if it’s a service dog it’s free. If it wasn’t for my husband they wouldn’t give me back the pet fee. He had to explain everything. Anyway, just didn’t like my stay here. Terrible terrible 😞

    Do not waste your time coming here!! Pictures do not match the actual room. The rooms are very outdated, the wallpaper is falling off the walls, the bathroom is so small and didn’t even flush properly, the lightbulb in the bathroom was like a heating lamp. The room we got with sliding glass doors didn’t even close properly and would not lock since it wasn’t able to securely close. When we brought up all the issues to the staff they wanted to “upgrade” us to a room with a view but stated the condition of the room would still be the same. We did not stay and were still charged for the stay.

    Price was right for my budget trip. Pool area wasn’t open a couple times I desired to hit the jacuzzi. The coffee situation was pretty crummy overall. Other than those “extra” amenities that I really don’t need or expect at the price I paid, service was good, the room was clean, the things in the room worked. For California, parking lot wasn’t terribly busy and the price to park onsite was very fair.

    I have been here many times and hotel is close to everything with good price For the first time, she I booked with booking .com , when I arrived , I was told there is no reservation . I had to show them my booking confirmation and hotel never received any confirmation from booking . I was waiting at lobby for long time to get a room . Very frustrating

    Overall our stay was good. A couple of not so good things; there is now a $10 per night parking fee, which was not stated in the description when I booked and was not the case 2 months ago when we stayed there. Also, the restroom door in our room was sticking which made an incredibly loud noise when we opened or closed it. So much for trying to be quiet for the rest of my family as to not disturb them. All in all, ok, but there were just a lot of little things adding up.... will still consider staying here again.

    After 30 min, I decided to go and ask again that the smell was so strong, I couldn’t be in that room, if they could please switch us. Then the person at the front desk was flexible enough to look for rooms again and found rooms available. Thankfully. I appreciate the change in rooms and upgrade. I only wish this was the first thing they did instead of possibly lying to us and making us think we had no other option available. Unfortunately this is my last time staying here. I hope they fix their pipes too because a strange smell comes out when using the sink in the bathrooms.

    Lobby is super cute! They had a great vending machine that was fully stocked with nearly anything you might need. The rooms themselves haven't been as updated as the common area, but they were still very clean and comfortable. It was the perfect location for our group who required multiple rooms on a budget. And this was the first onsite laundry that worked AS IT SHOULD. (quickly, and with one cycle only required - I've had bad luck with needing to run/pay for 3 cycles in the dryer in order to fully try my clothes) Just remember to bring your quarters, because there isn't a change machine onsite. Would stay here again!

    DO NOT STAY HERE. They are falsely advertising the rooms!! Not only that, when we were unpacking our car, the cops showed up because of suspicious people in the parking lot! The rooms smell strongly of chemical cleaner, the ceiling is LOW, the mold and layers of old paint are atrocious, the amenities do not match the listing. This place is a scam. DO NOT STAY HERE.

    Eesssh...I was standing in the bathroom, and gunk started gurgling from the tub emitting a horrific smell!! 15 minutes later, and the bathtub was halfway full. It was absolutely disgusting! The hotel is such an eclectic, old school vibe; but, that truly ruined the vibe for me and has caused me to never want to stay in a "retro" hotel again. Other than that, seemed pretty safe, quiet (a bit thin on the walls) and cute. But that experience...let's just say we were in and out before checkout time.

    Room wasn’t on the same level as a Hilton but definitely comfortable. I enjoyed the balcony a lot. The rooms were a really decent size and my kids definitely enjoyed them. The bathroom is a bit small but big enough for us. But the hot water is a little finicky. The pool was heated which was super nice and the hot tub was awesome. The parking lot is a little dirty but not too bad overall. Unfortunately no microwaves in the rooms but there is one in the lobby. Coffee bar was basic but still useful and they have a “store” downstairs that you can use your deposit to pay (charge to room) so we really enjoyed that for our kids. Staff was 50/50, not totally unhelpful but things like when I asked about the laundry room I got all the way up there with my laundry to find out you have to get coins from the front desk. Just would’ve been nice to know that when I was inquiring lol but otherwise good.

The hotel was showing its age, but it was comfortable. I as a woman traveling alone felt same and comfortable. My biggest problem was my refrigerator worked too well and froze my food.

    The pictures I saw on Expedia were deceiving. The hotel decor was very outdated. Old carpet, wall paper peeling, popcorn ceiling. I needed new towels since they were not offered daily, I saw housekeeping I asked for one she gave me one that was still wet and possibly from another guests room. I went to the front desk and they gave me a few, one had small red blood looking stains. The mattress was very hard and bed had cheap polyester sheets. Parking was difficult l, I had to park in the back lot which my key card didn’t work half of the time. There was always a really long line at the front desk and only 1 person working. Staff seemed overwhelmed and wasn’t very friendly. I will not stay here again nor would I recommend this place.

    Parking is good if your room is close to the pool. Room is ok. Not the best furniture. Side table was pretty small and in bad shape. You need to ask for the housekeepers to clean your room.     Stayed two nights in a double queen floor level room. Front desk staff were great, lobby was clean with cute decor. But we were not impressed at all with our room. Room was clean, dated bathroom, lumpy pillows, window only locked with a chain latch which was concerning being floor level, and the tub drain was clogged with hair. Maintenance came and said it was fixed. Next morning, still showering in calf deep water. Won’t stay there again.

    They did have some good staff though and all the housekeepers we met in the halls were very friendly. Pool was decent and hot tub was nice and hot!! Breakfast was sad… literally just nutrigrain bars and warm mandarin orange cups. “Fruit bar” on the sign had my little one excited just to find out it was just a nutrigrain bar :/ back elevator is a bit scary, but nice cuz no one else really used it so we didn’t have to wait much.. very very very dated hotel overall, they definitely don’t put money into upkeep.. everything was dated and old, but mostly clean. Lots of old holes in walls from moving fixtures it looked like… ice machine had mold in the filter area and looked like it hadn’t been serviced in YEARS… so I highly recommend not using it for consumption. We paid extra for a “deluxe” room and it looked like any other room that was basic so don’t waste your money there. Under 20% of the hotel is even usable atm, many entire halls and the whole 7th floor are inoperable. Overall you get what you pay for, honestly maybe less but the location is nice and if you don’t plan to spend much time in the room other than to sleep it’s not bad.

    Overall, it was a good place to stay. The bed was firm, I slept pretty good. Housekeeping was very prompt. Just that, it would have been better if there was a microwave in the room. The fridge was awesome but it would’ve been great to heat up our food for that midnight craving or having to eat cold leftovers.

    Upon arrival, the staff was not very welcoming. We arrived a bit early for check-in and asked if we could leave our bags in the lobby area and use the pool while we waited. We were told no, since a room key is required to access the pool and keys are only issued at check-in. This was disappointing, as many hotels are willing to accommodate this especially for guests staying the entire weekend. We ended up leaving to spend time at the Galleria Mall instead. When we finally entered our room, there was a strong, unpleasant odor, and the bathroom smelled distinctly like wet dog. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. The rooms are in serious need of updates, including the wallpaper, ceilings, flooring, curtains, and mattresses. Even the hallways had a persistent musty smell. Prior to arrival, we were informed in writing that housekeeping services were available upon request. On Saturday morning, as we were heading out, I requested that our room be cleaned. I was told there was no one available to clean it, but someone could remove our trash. This was surprising and disappointing. I asked that four fresh towels at least be provided when the trash was collected. Unfortunately, we do not plan to return to this hotel.

    I wanted to like this place because I visit the Alex theater often and its close, but we had a horrble first impression and visit. I arrived at 11:30 am and asked for early check in (I had been driving all morning and needed to use the restroom) the staff member told me if I waited till 12 there was no early check in fee and I could use the lobby bathroom while I waited. I did and we sat in the car for the 30 min. Went back in, a new staff members shift started told her what the lady with the black hair told me she said no its no fee at 1pm. They called the manager who seemed to know which staff member I was referring to and told me I had to pay it or wait till 1. (Very rude with an attitude by the way) I told her I wasted my time and could have just checked in when I arrived if it was the same fee. Seemed more like the first staff member just didn't want to check me in and had me wait till their shift ended or something. Whatever, I paid the fee. We got to the room and it was outdated, had tons of water damage, and the vents were filled with thick black dust and lint (proably a fire hazard which is scary because the sprikler system looked rusted and damaged). On top of that, someone on the floor was smoking pot which filled our room with the smell for 2 days. No judgement, to each their own, but it is not a smell I want to be surrounded with while on vacation. I brought it up to a staff member who pretty much told me oh well there is nothing we can do. True, I guess.

    *the rooms do not look like the pictures* There is nothing to update the room. You will be staying in a room that was last updated in the 90s. Maybe. The quality of the linens were low. Hard and a little scratchy. Hospital quality. No cute kettle or throws. Pool was very dirty due to a “rain.” Bar NEVER OPEN. Free coffee was like what you get in a hospital waiting room.     Stayed at Glendale Express Hotel for a weekend vacation and it was horrible - we will never stay there again. Problems: 1) Room was not ready when we asked to check in about 2:15. That's fine, but when we came back at 3:00 check-in time, still not ready. Offered a non-kitchenette but we said we would wait for the kitchenette (turns out their idea of a "kitchenette" is a mini fridge and a microwave. Nothing at all like a real kitchenette. And I'm not even sure that we got an actual kitchenette - I saw pictures online where there was also a sink. So I think we got ripped off). I was told to come back in 30 minutes. When I came back 30 minutes later, the guy said "Oh, I should have called you because 2 minutes after you left your room was ready." So why didn't he call? Insulting and terrible customer service. 2) TV was awful - you would change the channel and the screen would be dark and it would say "TV will turn off in 10 minutes" and then you would have to wait a couple of minutes until the channel you wanted to see actually came into view. 3) Musty/nasty-smelling air conditioner.

    We thought we would get a vintage experience. I saw pictures of the lobby and thought wow that is unique and has a 60's/70's feel to it. I had even read a review from someone that said that they spent their entire time in the lobby. Well now I know that it's because the rest of the hotel and rooms are still actually from the 60's/70's. Popcorn ceilings, old and peeling wallpaper, rusted fixtures, and the smells were terrible. We actually asked to switch from the third floor because the smell of cigarettes stunk the hallway and our bedroom up. There have been some upgrades here and there but it is so mismatched. For example carpets in the hallways and the signage. The room we were in had a nice table and refrigerator, everything else was old. You could feel the springs of the bed. I was so annoyed but hey you really get what you pay for, low rates and free parking is what sold us. At least we didn't see any bugs or cockroaches in our room (did not read this until I was digging through reviews after check in). The staff was friendly and attentive if you needed extra supplies. The poptarts and coffee were also nice on our early Universal Studios morning. This place has so much potential but it cannot be half done. Sucked it up for a weekend but we will not be staying here again.

    Overall it was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. We were one of the first people to check in that day and we got a ground level floor that appeared to be a room that hadn’t been updated in 30 years. The room looked like a dungeon. After we brought it to the front desk attention they accused us of being hostile for stating our displeasure and told us there was nothing wrong with the room and it was one of their newly updated rooms which it clearly was not. The mattresses were the worst mattresses I have ever slept on and didn’t even have a comforter. Also, the toilets barely flushed.

    The room had 2 beds, one very hard and the other absolutely intolerable with springs poking up. Had to buy mattress topper just to make it thru 3 days since staff couldn't do anything. No luggage rack, no blankets only sheets (the so-called duvet was just a sheet), no extra TP roll, only 2 towels, pop tart "breakfast," trash overflowing, hot tub jets not effective, cigarette butts on hallway floor. Staff were nice as had to ask for much of the stuff already mentioned but shouldnt have to ask for a luggage rack at a motel. Movie being filmed nearby so parking very limited (maybe Bates Motel Sequel?).

    The room was sub-par. The older lady at the front desk was pretty rude. They start cleaning the rooms before checkout…gave me the feeling of being rushed. The best part about this place is definitely the pool. A lot of places claim to have a heated pool and then it ends up being cold when you get there. But NOT Glendale Express! My family was in the pool in December until they closed the pool at 10pm. I aLeo enjoyed the atmosphere in the lobby. They play oldies music and the whole place has a vintage vibe.

    A few things, I do wish the rooms had an ironing board and iron in the room and a suitcase rack but those were not deal breakers for me. I also wish the continental coffee, tea and pop tarts also offered a fruit and oatmeal, flavored creamer and sugar free options. This is the only reason for -1 star. If you are planning on going to Universal Studios it is 15 or less away from the park which was a plus for us. Staff were very friendly and both check in/out. It was very thoughtful of them to give my kids coloring books and crayons at check out. I would stay here again!

    Glendale Express was the best! Front Desk was very friendly and efficient during check in. I was able to get a crib sent up for my baby with the Deluxe Double room. The room was very clean with an amazing view. We were able to see the pool from our balcony but couldn’t/didn’t swim due to rain. I was able to log in to my Hulu with ease and was automatically logged out when I turned off the TV. I would book again if we are in the area again.

    Room was run down. Not as nice as it looks from the lobby and website. Strange smell. Had some ants in the bathroom. A suspicious hair on the bed sheets.     Location was amazing. Free parking is nice and good price. It was surprisingly quiet for how big the hotel is. Just a few little negative things - the rooms and building are quite dated and dingy. Small hairs on the towels. Pet friendly but not too many places to take your dog unless you walk all the way to the street. No water machine, but free pop tarts in the am!

    Shower pressure is very poor and the toilet is constantly making sounds. I can deal with all of that, but at the end of my three day stay I noticed several dried spots of blood on the sheet I was laying on, a clear indication of bedbugs. Bedbugs are a nightmare to deal with, and I hope my home doesn't become infested because of this.

    Sliding glass door could not be locked safely. It did have a chain lock but the actual lock to the glass door was missing the locking part. So we did not feel real safe or protected. Poptarts were actual packaged pop-tarts not the bakery style shown in the picture.

    The room was comfortable and generally good; however, the door was difficult to open and required a strong push each time. The toilet flush was not functioning properly, and although I reported the issue after the first use, it was not fixed during our stay. Additionally, the room cleaning schedule of once every five days seems too infrequent. On a positive note, the staff were very polite, helpful, and provided excellent service throughout our stay.

    I love the laid back attitude of the Lobby,pool and the area around the place feels very safe. I love the top floor for the view and the cool breeze. The rooms aren’t 5 star but when I’m there it’s just to sleep and shower. The rooms are nice and clean, large TV ,great channels and streaming channels that I use at home so it personalizes the stay. The walls and floors are concrete ,So you don’t hear your neighbors at all ,no TV..It’s a great place for Men. Only thing that would make it better would be a good restaurant.

    Not very accommodating nor happy to assist, tried to get ahold of the front desk the whole day to confirm my booking to finally reach them once I get into town than find out (my mistake) I booked for the next day.. I asked if I could just switch the booking for correct day and was told I would have to deal with it in the morning with a manager mind you it’s like midnight.. so after all that I wasn’t able to get a partial refund or anything so therefore I not be recommending this place

    For the price, it’s definitely worth it. The lobby felt very inviting, but the rooms themselves felt very old fashioned and needs to be updated badly. The toilet barely flushed, and needed to be held until everything in the bowl was 90% down. but the bed and shower felt good enough. Parking was pretty rough especially at night, but doable. They marketed that there would be a microwave, but didn’t advertise that it’d be in the lobby instead of the rooms.

    The stay would have been fine if the hotel didn’t neglect putting door stop .     This place was wonderful for the price. I don’t understand why people have it such a bad review, honestly it was perfect for the price. The initial smell was a bit strong at first but then it went away, this place is not a place you want to relax in , we spent most of our time out, but it was definitely very clean.     Overall it was great. Clean, friendly staff. We had no balcony as we stayed on first floor. It was very quiet and air conditioning did its thing!     The room was fine. The bed was decent and it is spacious, but the issues were the room, not being completely clean. We found long black hairs in the shower and also noticed black mold in the air vents in the bathroom, which probably cost us to sneeze a lot would’ve been a good day if they did a better job cleaning and also kept the room more sanitary

    I’ve stayed here three times now for various events in the surrounding areas. It’s not a fancy hotel by any means, but great for the price. Clean with decent beds (most important hotel factors for me). Also very cute retro vibe, honoring the hotel’s legacy. I stayed here once during Christmastime and the decorations were super cute. Staff could be a little more pleasant, but I’ve never had any truly bad interactions. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for, and I think that rings very true for this hotel. Will likely stay here again when in the area.

    Loved the decor in the lobby, but everything else was straight out of the 70s. The rooms were large but not enough electrical outlets to plug your phone in with. Our room was by the stairwell and we heard the door slamming all night. In addition a smoke detector must have had bad batteries because it beeped all night. The towels were the thinnest towels I’ve ever used, worn and scratchy. Overall just a hotel to sleep at, not super comfortable or relaxing.

    There were baby roaches found several times in our room and I am horrified. I am terrified to bring my luggage back into my home and give myself a roach infestation. The key cards also hardly worked to the point where after the concert we went to (why we stayed at the hotel) the key card would not let us back into the room at MIDNIGHT, and I had to go get it reset at the front desk while exhausted. Horrible place.

    The manager Lola is extremely rude and unprofessional, Check-In time is 3:00pm the manager told us our room wasn’t available and we had to wait until 4:15pm to check in, and you best believe check out was still the same time despite us losing over an hour for a room we paid for - then our shower water backed up almost knee high called front desk to fix it and maintenance left our bath tub nasty filled with mud, drain gunk, and lose hair

    The body soap in the bathtub was empty, there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom, the fitted sheets on 2 queen size bed were double sheets and falling off. The coffee is instant even the coffee in lobby was bad, no signage, where are the elevators, the housekeeping didn't speak English and were unable to direct us to the elevators, only 3 elevators and a long walk to room, the pictures portray a resort atmosphere, but it was more like a motor lodge. There were very few people staying there and all of us on same floor right next to each other. You could have spread us apart. The balcony was as big as my foot, barely able to stand on it, what's the point? The balcony was advertised to be big enough for a chair? Not at all! The only reason I have a 3 resting is the desk staff were polite and the check in and out process was easy.

    The place is super scary if you bring children due to it being more of an attraction, it’s run down compared to photos. The rooms and hallways are something you’d see in a horror movie and doesn’t feel safe at all. The parking is not a very secure area as well. If you want a place that looks like you’re in the 1960’s then it might be a good option. It was a cheap stay compared to the market and there advertised photos were very misleading. This is a place you go to last second when you can’t make the drive home just to lay your head somewhere.

    The pictures are deceiving. This is a hotel that probably was great in the 70s - 80s. It is outdated. The reservation was for a deluxe room, I can't imagine how a standard room looks like. The mattress was very uncomfortable. Furniture in general was old. It looked like the sheets were clean, but in general it was a very bad experience. The doors didn't feel secure. The whole hotel felt dingy.

    Our first room was on the first floor and our window that went out to the parking lot did not lock. We moved rooms and ended up on the third floor. The room we moved to, had an awful moldy smell. It had visible mold in the bathroom vent and in the corners of the room. Along with the smell, the wallpaper was peeling off everywhere and had some weird yellow gooey stuff leaking out of it. We had a lock on our door but it was hanging by a screw. Besides the quality of the room, the staff was very kind and had no issues helping us.

    The room's cleanliness was unacceptable, with what appeared to be blood or rust stains in the bathroom. Facing this unpleasant surprise, we decided not to stay there, fearing what other issues might arise if we remained. As we checked out, I detailed our experience to the desk agent, who only cared about and simply informed me we would be charged for that night, despite having spent less than 10 minutes in the room. I had anticipated difficulties but didn’t expect to be stuck with a charge due to the booking being through Expedia. The hotel said I would have to work with Expedia. When I reached out to them, they said the hotel had already reached out, and this a frustrating loop of back-and-forth. Eventually, I was only refunded for two of the three nights, meaning I paid for a night without having truly stayed there. Reflecting on this ordeal, I've decided not to use Expedia again for the foreseeable future, nor will I return to that hotel.

    They list they have Netflix and Hulu which means they would have a subscription for it for everyone to watch right? No, you have to sign in to yours. You can do that on every TV almost now.     Our family and friends have always chosen this hotel for when we head out to Universal Studios. Its close by, rooms are affordable, clean, close to different fast food restaurants. The camel and flamingo are great decorations, the pool and jacuzzi are always working and clean. We just miss the FREE ducks the kids use to live to get some when we visited.

    We had an eight-hour flight delay, so I called the hotel to inform them. We were checking in very late and were told not to worry because we had until 2am. When we arrived to check in around 12:30 or 1 a.m., the person there told us she had already started the process of closing the hotel and was not pleased to have to stop it. The next morning at 8 A.M., housekeeping tried to open the door, knocking repeatedly. Our reservation was for two days and had the do-not-disturb sign on. The housekeeper told my husband that the front desk informed them we had already checked out and then reminded us that we needed to be out by 11. We went to the front desk to verify if they had our reservation right and to explain what was going on. Her response was, “Oh. OK.”

    Literally within the first 10 mins my daughter laid on the bed and she said she felt like she’s been bit. I told her you sure? She said yes dad. I said I don’t feel anything let’s switch beds. I was trying to give the benefit of doubt to the hotel and come to find out she wasn’t lying. I was bitten 4 times on my left leg and she had bites on legs as well. We contacted the hotel and they gave us an email for support and we have still yet to hear from them. I’ve never gotten bed bug bites in over 20 years of staying at hotels. This is the first and there were others who left reviews experiencing the same thing. There’s also a sign I thought was odd in the room stating they don’t clean the rooms for 5 days and if you want your room cleaned you need to call the front desk. Every place I’ve been too makes sure they clean rooms each day and bring in fresh towels unless you put the do not disturb sign on the door or tell them no when they come by. I would not waste my money here if I were you. I want to add pictures but not sure how to because I’ve never had a bad experience to leave a review on a hotel before.

    We had to wait one hour after check in time because our room was not ready or clean. It is in a good location, but the hotel itself (besides the remodeled lobby) is rundown and old. No amenities besides the pool. Front desk staff was okay but not very helpful. Our key stopped working when we used the pool the next day and had to ask a cleaning lady for help getting back in. Cleaning staff was nice.

    This hotel does live up to the pictures online. hallways carpet is dirty, hot and musty. Wore socks in room and they became very dirty from just walking. No iron or ironing board in room, called front desk for one at 9am and they delivered it 10 minutes before check out. Service is terrible

    Room was dirty. Bed was dirty. Bathroom dirty. Toilet dirty and had to double flush to make stuff go down. Shower would not turn off unless really turn hard to tighten. The bathroom door would not close. Mini fridge did not work. Outside I felt unsafe with hookers and pimps hanging out in the parking lot. Not sure if they were staying there or conducting business.     Booked for it's close proximity to the Hollywood Bowl, hot tub & pool. Nice staff, easy check in, great safe location. Just a couple blocks to good coffee and fun late night food. The room was clean and the bedding was nice. Microwave off the lobby / our room didn't have one. But if we needed it that would have worked fine for late night popcorn. I would definitely come back and stay here again.

    If you are not planning to be at your hotel room other than just sleep it’s a good option. It’s not fancy but not bad. There was a questionable stain on the bathroom wall but other than that it was as advertised on the pictures.

    Funky smell in the room. The toilet didn’t drain. I arrived part 11pm so the overnight staff not friendly which is typical in all hotels. Wouldn’t stay here again.

    We were out for an event at the Rose Bowl and this hotel was just what we needed. Clean, comfortable, not too expensive, and free parking. I appreciated that the air-con worked so well. My friend didn't like the pillows. I really liked the price. They've done a good job making the lobby hip, but the rest of the place has the old motel vibes.

    room was very clean and staff were friendly. our cold water wasn’t working in the shower and they quickly sent up maintenance to fix it. greatly appreciated with the summer heat! however the a/c units outside of our room made our beds vibrate and that made it hard to fall asleep. there is also no a/c in the hallway or elevator. the lobby is updated but the rest of the building is really outdated. lots of free parking. pool area is nice. overall for the price and close location to the rose bowl it was a nice stay for a quick trip

    Its a nice place but needs to be updated. The AC in the room didnt work I let the front desk know, a tech came by and all he did was unplug and plug back in. The bathroom vent was very loud and was continous was all day and night.

    Pictures falsely advertised as room was not as listed on the website. Spoke to a lovely member of the team on the desk and they acknowledged this being a regular complaint and that even upgraded rooms were the same. Bed uncomfortable and noisy, very basic room, not modern at all and not as expected.

    So, after a day of walking around LA, we were unable to bathe at all and were forced to sleep in a room that smelled like feces. The night of the incident, Joshua was very understanding and told us the management would handle it in the morning. So, in the morning, I asked to talk to management. When I was greeted by the manager in the morning, first, she was rude and not understanding at all. She had called me that day and asked for permission for the plumbers to enter the room. I gave permission. So this tells me that there was a KNOWN issue with the room we were staying in, but after the plumbers left there was no plan in place for us to move rooms. They must have seen the poop water in the room. When I talked to the manager, she said that since she had left me a message (a message I never received) that it was not her or the hotels fault. There is nothing she can or should do for us. She then said that she had messaged the night manager to give us another room, but the night manager did not see the message so its not her fault. She constantly blames others on staff without making any attempt to rectify what the HOTEL did to our room. I want my money back for the night of misery that the hotel put us through. The hotel DAMAGED our room.

    Greeted with no smile at check in, person going through the motions. Went to room - keys did not work but lock was broken so door was open. Spent next few hours stuck in our room with multiple engineers to fix lock which they did a good job. However our keys did not work/a few back and forth we left the room as needed to be at an event - came home later and requested new keys thankfully we got into our room. Place is very tired, very basic and two small flat pillows on a king bed is inadequate,

    The property its self is so aesthetically pleasing, reminds me a bit of Palm Springs. They have a pool with a hot tub, which was a hit for my kids. My one negative are the rooms. The wall paper was peeling in multiple spots and yellowing. Old dirty carpet. The blanket on one of the beds had stains on it. I was really expecting a more modern looking room that fit the rest of the hotel’s esthetic.

    The staff was great and very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The only issue was with the key cards for the room. They did not work a few times, and one of us had to stay in the room so the other person could get in. The staff tried to fix this situation, but it was still an issue. We also overheard other guests complaining about the key card situation. Otherwise, we had a really nice stay.

    The hotel is old, and the pictures online are much more appealing than the reality. The air conditioning is quite warm and struggles to cool the entire room. With a price of almost $600 for three days, I’m sure I can find a better option. I will never stay at this hotel again.

    This property is very typical L.A., a nice facade and lobby, but the rest of the property is in dire need of renovations and renewal. The property has a lot of history, which you can really see everywhere. That can be both good and bad!
