The Glen Club Hotel is generally well-liked for its cleanliness, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff. Guests appreciate the quiet and peaceful atmosphere, as well as the convenient location near restaurants, shopping, and a golf course. However, some guests have issues with temperature control in the rooms and limited breakfast options.

Stayed for work. Usually. I stay at a big hotel chain. The offer to stay here popped up as a last minute deal with a discount. It was close to work.

The location is on a golf course, and views from the restaurant were nice. I was pleasantly surprised by how good and reasonably priced the restaurant was. I had avocado toast with fruit for $12 and my daughter had an amazing acai bowl at the same price. They also had a cappuccino/coffee/cocoa machine for guests at no cost. The only thing that was a problem was that there was a bat mitzvah party that was loud and got louder until it ended at 11. We asked for a room far from the party, and the staff was really helpful in arranging that for us, but I felt bad for the people right above the party, one of whom yelled "Quiet!" at about 10:45. The room was great, but there wasn't any hand soap, though I'm sure we could have asked for some; we just used the shower body wash. I think, in such a small place, parties should either have a 10 PM curfew, or any guests who book rooms should be notified ahead of time and/or get a discount. I've never stayed at a hotel that had a curfew later than 10.

Everyone there was so kind! And the golf cart was great fun. It was cool to see the Illinois Golf Hall of Fame. Not a big golfer myself but if I was, this would probably be the perfect place to be. The hairdryer didn't really work but if that's the worst part of the experience, it's probably a really good experience!

I truly don’t understand how a golf club could be as disappointing as this was. We clearly don’t drink enough to accept mediocrity as superb. Food was better at the airport. How does one get 3 different textures of rice noodles in one dish? Bar couldn’t make a simple drink correctly. I asked for 2 of the same drink in one glass so I didn’t have to fight the half naked teenagers screaming in the party rooms. I got a double shot of something vile in a single serve glass. Room temperature was completely awful the entire stay. The thermostat never read or adjusted to cool the room, even after three attempts to contact maintenance. The bed was clean. That’s all I can say positively. Should’ve stayed at a Hilton property.

Great location just behind the Glen shopping center. Lots of restaurants and shops just 5 min walk away. Was so nice to stay at the club instead of a business hotel. Highly recommend it. Liked everything about it.

The only things I would love to see improved are the temperature control, since you have to call the front desk to adjust it, and the elevator, which could use a refresh to better match the rest of the property. That said, these are minor compared to the overall experience. The staff has always been extraordinarily kind and helpful, and it remains the only place we choose to stay when visiting Chicago.

Room is very spacious. There is a coffee machine in hallway, which is very useful and appreciated. Bed is very comfortable. The hotel is tired and needs updates. The shower room has tiles broken. The sliding door to the balcony was not able to be opened. The management team should have paid more attention to the details like that.
- 3/5
The hotel needs updating. Tons of wear and tear. We had a large party. Mattresses were all different and variable quality. Some were missing dust ruffles. Towels were threadbare.
- 3/5
The hotel needs to be updated. Felt like the rooms and furniture were very worn

Our room was comfortable and very clean. The Glen Club is beautiful and service great!
- 5/5
Staff were friendly and professional. They recognized VIP status perks immediately and upgraded the room. The restaurant is onsite, provides room service and eat in. Very welcoming and comfortable! I’ll be coming back soon!

Check in was ok .
- 5/5
Food was average.
- 2/5
Mostly my disappointment was that the room was not ready in time and I was even more disappointed with the attitude they had about getting the room ready. Poor. Too bad, nice place - but the service and timlieness against the price was poor. Also, hotel room ice machine was broken.
- 4/5
It was overlooking a golf course. Had a nice view. The carpet in the rooms were worn out. Need to be replaced. Otherwise everything was nice.

A wonderful spot!
- 5/5
The hotel is small but lovely and the views are SPECTACULAR of the beautiful Golf Club grounds!!
- 5/5
Only downside was the late night noise from the wedding guests strolling through the halls.
- 2/5
Generally love staying at this hotel. Had a terrible experience with the manager, “Sincere”. Very rude, confused, and not knowledgeable at all
- 5/5
Porch overlooking the golf course was nice but not the fact that I could not control the temperature in my room. Called 3 different times and was told they control from there. Could not get warmer at all.
- 3/5
AC didn't work, very hot at night; mgnt didn't care
- 5/5
The PROPERTY IS BEAUTIFUL & well maintained!!

Everyone was incredibly helpful and kind.
- 5/5
The daily breakfast was amazing. Everything was perfect such a wonderful stay
- 5/5
Great staff & adorable prices
- 5/5
Very nice and worth the money.
- 3/5
Property is pretty spartan. Oddly they won’t let you have the air conditioning below 67 degrees. Breakfast doesn’t open until 8am which didn’t work for my schedule. On the plus side the golf course looks very nice
- 5/5
My 2 complaints are: 1) the lighting in the room is very dull, two table lamps & NO DESK TASK LIGHT, ugh! 2) The bath towels are SUPER OLD & battered, like over 10 yrs old, that is unacceptable for a hotel room costing over $170.00 a night!
- 5/5

We had problems with AC first day. When still not working well second day, the manager put us in different rooms until fixed.
- 5/5
We had a great time at the Glen Club. The place is definitely more a golf club and restaurant than hotel, and did host noisy events while we were there, but the room itself was comfortable and nice.
- 5/5
Excellent facility
- 5/5
Great location, quiet & nice property.
- 3/5
Very nice venue for a golf enthusiast. Great curb appeal. The building shows some signs of deferred maintenance. Breakfast was good but not great; wait staff was fair. Front desk staff was outstanding. Pro shop staff seemed judge mental, almost condescending.
- 5/5
Excellent bar and grill. Great water pressure.
- 3/5
We have been going to the Glen Club for years and have always enjoyed our time there. However the hotel facilities really do need an update. The wood paneling on the elevator is chipping, the carpet in the hallways and rooms is visibly stained and we had hair all over our bathroom upon checkin. The heat is controlled from the front desk and our room was either stifling at 78 degrees or cold at 64 degrees. They were unsuccessful in getting it to balance out. Second floor definitely needs a makeover.
- 5/5
Clean and a very nice hotel. Very comfortable
- 2/5
The location is very unique, but the hotel aspect (the rooms) are due for a renovation…it barely just ok…I definitely won’t stay there again.
- 5/5
The property itself is elegant but starting to show wear. Time for a refresh.
- 5/5
It was hot in the room and hard to adjust the temperature. Once I figured it out though all was good

The Glen Club is convenient for our stay in terms of ease of getting to the events and restaurants we like in the area. We have stayed here several times before and after Covid. However, this was our last time for several reasons. First, it took several hours and 2 calls to the front desk to get the room to a comfortable temperature. We tried adjusting in the room only to find out they controlled it from the front desk. We started out at 75.5 degrees and could not get it down even 3 degrees until another phone call and requesting such. We had no ice bucket and no information in the room as to how to get. Our booking said included breakfast, yet were told they had not had breakfast included for at least a year. Our key card holder even said we could have “complimentary continental breakfast “, only to be told that was only in the off season when the restaurant was closed. None of these were printed anywhere . We won’t be back.
- 4/5
The room was nicely decorated as well as the common areas. My only complaint is the A/C system. There is a note on the thermostat that you can only adjust it by 3 degrees. Unfortunately the blower blows non-stop. I called the front desk and she said she would turn it off. I didn’t want no air just less. I could tell she turned it down because the volume of air decreased but it still blew continuously all night long. If I had to guess I would say that it returned to the same volume sometime during the night. It was too cold for my liking. The bathroom fan is also very loud. The switch that controls the bathroom exhaust fan also controls the lights. So if you don’t have it on you don’t have enough light.
- 5/5
Very nice setting and spacious room. Could easily walk to nice nearby shopping center.
- 5/5
The hotel at the Glen Club is very nice. It is a golf course first and foremost, so no pool or weight room, and not like a traditional hotel but the rooms are very nice. It is quiet, the rooms are comfortable, and it is a nice getaway. Probably not a good hotel for kids but I like to stay here when on business trips in the area.
- 2/5
Property is older and not very modern, bed was uncomfortable, room was not very modern and definitely did not reflect pricing. Staff was just blah. Didn’t fell very welcoming.
- 4/5
Check in was easy, room was clean and quiet, and the restaurant was good.
- 5/5
Loved that it was so close to town center, yet quiet
- 5/5
Great location with good amenities. We love the double king room we stayed in. Just wished there were blackout curtains or shade that kept the room darker in the morning.
- 5/5
liked being on the course and near shopping.
- 2/5
The property is nice beside the quiet and beautiful golf course. But the night when we stayed, there is a party with loud noise until very late, which has seriously affected our rest.
- 2/5
Room was very large and quiet. The only reason for the negative remarks is that you can not control the thermostat. There is a sign that says you can move it up or down three degrees. When I arrived it was a chilly 67. No problem, I set it to 70 and waited. After an hour without any change I called the front desk. The person that answered said only she can control the temp. I asked why then was there a sign? Anyway, I requested she change it to 70. At 2:30 am the room was sweltering and 75 degrees. I called the front desk. Again, she asked what temp and I said 70. I woke up to 67 degrees. So I think not even the person at the front desk can control the temperature.
- 5/5
Everyone are very helpful and friendly. The place is so clean. Love to come back soon.
- 5/5
It was lovely. Beautiful view of the golf course. A great get away place.
- 4/5
This is a wonderful place to stay, at a great value. Staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. On my recent stay, however, my TV remote was broken, and that's something that should be taken care of without a guest having to ask. Otherwise, perfect.
- 5/5
Love that this place is all about the history of golf in Illinois. We had an educational stay!
- 3/5
Breakfast selection was very average.
- 5/5
We are in the process of moving my parents into assisted living and selling their house at the same time, so our trips to Glenview have been many over the past couple of months. The Glen Club has been our hotel of choice: decent rate, clean, friendly staff and quiet (off golf season). We will be back - highly recommended.
- 5/5
Excellent service, hotel was clean and the room is big, a lot of extra cabinets, we surely comeback
- 3/5
Cost was not known when making final decision any fund returned from the process is expected and thanks for noticing the mistake.

I give the staff a 10 at the Glenn club the check-in staff Don did an excellent job of finding your room and when someone checked out early calling me and telling me I could come early to check into the room and he was very very helpful once we got to the Glenn club also lots of nice bicycling around the area area
- 5/5
everything was great

Stayed 2 nights. 1st night was great, 2nd night was horrible due to a wedding reception. At 12am wedding party and guests started to party in the rooms and hallways. Called to front desk at 12:45am as it continued. Front desk gal was unable to quiet the group down. Party lasted till 3:00am until the cops were finally called by hotel to clear. Should of been done much earlier. Hotel didn’t have anyone on site to manage or stop such a disruptive group of people. I will credit the front desk manager in the morning as they did refund our stay for that night. Not what I was looking for but appreciate the refund.
- 5/5
Quiet and peaceful, just what we needed for our Valentine’s Day weekend. :)
- 5/5
Fabulous location and staff. Clean rooms great restaurant and plenty in walking distance. I will stay here again on my next visit! 👍

The Glen is an elegant hotel. Would make my go to hotel in Glenview.

Restaurant is excellent.

Amazing view! Spacious beautiful suite with bathtub and giant TV. Breakfast was excellent.
- 5/5
The Glen Hotel far exceeded our expectations. The rooms were very nice and clean. The staff was extremely friendly and made us feel at home. The restaurant was wonderful. We had great meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And we loved the bar! Octavio and Lianne were terrific servers. We will be back soon!!
- 5/5
The hotel is very small it is in a great area.
- 4/5
Also staff in the dining area can be more attentive. Is there any way to put CC tips if you are using a voucher?
- 5/5
Loved it. We stayed in Room #6. It was huge and very clean. Beautiful view. 4 HUGE windows. Huge closet. Beautiful bathroom and shower!! Excellent free breakfast in the dining room.
- 4/5
House being painted, needed a place to stay for the weekend. Perfect for my son and I .
- 5/5
I like the classy feel and the concierge was great!
- 2/5
It's a golf club. It's not a hotel with staff who are accessible and attentive. The room I stayed in was noisy. Adjusting the heating system is not possible, so was cold all night. I had low expectations when I booked but figured it was good for one night. Got little sleep, so wouldn't go back.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay at The Glen. It was relaxing and quiet! The location was convenient! We would definitely stay there again!
- 5/5
Bedroom lights way too low. No assigned help for luggage. No grab bar in shower.
- 5/5
This is a fantastic boutique hotel. It's walk-able to shopping and restaurants, it also has a great restaurant located on the property. The food was delicious. I will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Great property. Not far from O'hare. Staff was friendly and more than accommodating!
- 5/5
Very nice to be in a hotel with only 21 rooms. Breakfast started at 7:00 AM and staff wasn't quickly available for taking breakfast orders when I was in a rush in the mornings. The hotel room thermometer allows for the AC to be set to 3 degrees colder or 3 degrees warmer than whatever the base set-point is for the building. Sometimes it was very cold, but I like to sleep in a freezer so, mostly, it wasn't cold enough. All in all, totally recommend. I don't golf, but I bet that makes it even better. Walking distance to the shopping district next door.
- 5/5
stay here.
