Reviews
The hotel reviews indicate a general sentiment of dissatisfaction, with many guests expressing disappointment in the cleanliness and condition of the rooms. The proximity to train tracks and resulting noise is another frequently mentioned issue.
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Convenient location
- Unclean and outdated rooms
- Noise from nearby train tracks

Roaches, room wasn't very clean, a lot of activities going on in the parking lot. Staff was nice.
- 2/5
It was a very bad experience, so many issues like toilet paper holder broken, cheap soap smelled bad, noisy old spring mattress, A/C old and loud, night stand dirty, morning front desk staff not greeting.
- 4/5
The location is also good as it is close to bars, restaurants, and major roads
- 2/5
There were roaches in my room.
- 4/5
I went to the lobby and explained my night to the gentleman at the counter, and he put me in a room farthest from the trains and even upgraded us to a king size bed. The a/c was new and quiet as a whisper, the bed was very comfortable and quiet and when I got up in the morning, thats right, I had hot water! As for the trains, well, I think you would hear them on the moon, but there were only 8 that ran the second night. All in all not too bad.

That it was close to everything It was a hotel that families lived there daily, nasty dirty floors , tv didn’t , and had a handicapped person with us and still gave us a room on the second floor with no elevator.

I pre-booked a king bed. Upon arrival and checking when we got to our room it was a single double bed. Nothing was said when we checked in. We went back to the front desk and was told there were no more king rooms and there was nothing he could do! We did not stay

Staff was extremely kind and friendly. However my wife and I did not stay for our intended amount of time. The second we walked into our room it immediately had an intense cigarette smoke odor despite receiving a non smoking room.

Everyone I talked to was genuinely very nice. Even the other lodgers staying there. No issues with noise. Well... moderate and the train across the street. I live in Moncks Corner, so, very convenient. Coming here is first on my list if needed to again. I wanted to check out early on the 27 instead of 29th. So, 3 nights instead of 5 nights. I was told by a different check in host that I was only scheduled until the 28th instead of 29th where on my emails it had me for the 29th. Which is what was correct. They couldn't override it and told me to contact booking which was who I used to assist the front desk over the phone. Booking lady was I can tell a foreigner but very nice and understanding. The guy that checked me in made a mistake. But its okay. All settled. Just 7-12 days for reimbursement to come back on my card for the other 3 nights plus $100 deposit. But was handled professionally. I offered to order pizza for staff and they refused. So thanks Econo Lodge!

- 3/5
It was a fair price for a quick place to stay near the CSU.
- 5/5
Rooms were clean. All the staff was nice and took care of any of our needs. I recommend anyone staying there if they are in the area.
- 3/5
Room was okay and in decent condition, was so loud outside couldn’t get through one night without being woken up at least 4 times. Does not feel like a safe area… staff were friendly though and it was cheaper so you get what you pay for.
- 2/5
This was the second time I’ve stayed there and the tv didn’t work either time
- 1/5
Staff was fine, but bugs on bed as soon as I walked in. I left immediately
- 5/5
😊
- 2/5
First night there refrigerator and microwave didn’t work . Had to come reset the breaker or something. My heater in my room was not functioning or heating properly. It finally quit blowing warm air at 2:30 am 01/19/2026. I woke up freezing. People in room next to me were very loud in early morning hours slamming doors talking outside my door on the phone.
- 1/5
Ran out of parking spaces. AC was nasty and propped up with pieces of wood
- 3/5

- 5/5
Great stay, friendly and professional check-in, everything worked as it should. The only challenge I encountered was the late night train whistles from the very nearby busy railroad tracks. Be sure to bring earplugs. I used mine and slept just fine.
- 4/5
Yes to all of the questions
- 4/5
No additional comments.
- 1/5
Room was ok. Crack heads outside were loud till they tried to shoot each other
- 2/5
It was old and in need of upkeep, repairs, and improvement of furnishings and furniture, Our main complaint however, was that there were numerous homeless people who hung around the hotel and parking lot. There was a group about 2 feet from our door being loud late at night. The room phones weren't working therefore, we could not report it to the office, but had to call local police instead. We felt very unsafe the whole time there and checked out the next morning to find something else. I would not recommend staying here.
- 3/5
It was hair in the shower and the bed.the bedsheets was stained
- 4/5
Room was clean and quiet. Trains will wake you up though
- 5/5
I did not like the fact that I had to wait for my room to be cleaned and then once I was told my room was ready by 12. I still waited patiently and it was 3 o’clock by the time I checked in but since I didn’t stay the entire night and I was checked out by 12 am I requested a full refund for the entire amount and they denied it.

- 3/5
The facility we stayed in at Pirt Rich, Fl was much better and nicer.
- 4/5
StAff was great. No closet or even hook to hang up clean shirt. Railroad nearby eith 3 or 4 trains overnight.
- 2/5
The humidity level in the room was so high that every surface was wet to the touch.
- 2/5
Conveniently close to base but train was running late at night. Some residue on side of bathtub was never cleaned even after i reported it. Found long hairs
- 5/5
Excellent price with a clean room. Very nice staff!
- 4/5
The only complaint that I have is that they came in during my stay to touch up the paint in the room. This wouldn't have been an issue but the man that knocked on the door wasn't paying attention and tried to come when while i was waking up from a nap and trying to get dressed
- 5/5
Clean and quiet stay.
- 5/5
Nice
- 3/5
Breakfast was just a brew coffee and a mini muffin. Price a little to high for what it offers.
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly and our room was clean and acceptable. There wasn’t a a lot of noise or disruption other than a train going by I was a little disappointed in the breakfast and no coffee pot in the room. I’m a coffee person have to have it first thing in the morning. The beds are comfortable and was able to sleep very well.
- 4/5
It fit the purpose of the trip. Staff was friendly and check in was a breeze
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 1/5
A lot of suspicious activity going on around this property and I asked them to pay in cash and they still used my credit card
- 3/5
Didn’t even get the room paid for
- 3/5
As a non smoker given a smoking room.
- 3/5
Bed was comfortable enough, pillows weren't great. AC was loud when it turned off, and the TV only had one channel. Good for the price but if you're expecting luxury maybe look somewhere else
- 5/5
It was quite and comfortable
- 4/5
Acceptable for the price. Also would like more options than coffee and tea. Maybe cereal and danish with milk.
- 4/5
Not bad for a basic room. Towels were very stained and old. Need some do not disturb signs for the doors. Was woke up twice by housekeeping (working at night) so I had to make my own sign. Staff was friendly and helpful.
- 1/5
First was put in a smoking room. Didn’t know that was still a thing. Walked into to roaches on the floor, pulled back sheets and they were stained. Left immediately.
- 3/5
Called to ensure my room would be Available for late check in, not all that friendly person on the phone but said yes. Get to hotel and check in, he takes my info, I pay and then he asks if I wanted a smoking room. I said no I do t and he said I meant to ask you on the phone but I didn’t and we don’t have any non-smoking rooms now.. Room I got is. Definitely a smoking room, sheets look dingy, several patch areas on the wall, wall have stains, not very clean. Best I could get on short notice from what I can tell- still paid more than I should for a place in this condition
- 5/5
Mr. John is very friendly and professional. He is quick to check you in and does a wonderful job! Econo is a nice, quiet and peaceful hotel.
- 5/5
The Hotel is clean, rooms are efficient and the staff is very friendly. Mr. John at the front desk is very friendly and knowledgeable.
- 5/5
It was very nice very clean plenty of towels. Service was amazing. Decent price and the lobby with the free breakfast was very nice.
- 3/5
The big issue is cleanliness. I had a smoking room and is smelled like it had not been aired in years. The floors were filthy and the bottoms of my feet were black after a few minutes of walking around the room. The HVAC system was aged and noisy. I had to reset the system 8 to 10 times during a two night stay.
- 4/5
Staff was very friendly
- 1/5
They stole my info and kicked it down the line. I received several scam attempts to contact me via text on my cell in addition to phone calls i didn't answer. Teying to say they were also at the motel the same time and wanted to connect with me. Obviously foreign due to the literacy appptitude of the text. Very sketchy.
- 2/5
It was not so good. Hotel room was filthy.
- 2/5
Disappointing all around. Checking in was a disappointment. The lobby looked like the place was closing down. Right next to train tracks that have trains blowing their horn all through the night. Cracked paint on the walls in both the main room & bathroom. The foors were sticky. There was less than a half roll of toilet paper on the holder and no spare rolls. The only sink was clogged with food remnants. The premium tv had poor signal and almost all channels were blocked. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.
- 1/5
stains in the towels, bedding, and shower curtain.
- 3/5
Right by train tracks. Train came around at About 11:30 both nights. Saw a few bugs on the floor. Other than that it was okay. I recommend an exterminator visit the property.
- 4/5
I did like the value, I did not like the TV service. Must have been local only
- 3/5
Relatively dated. Upgrade needed for bedding.
- 2/5
Never had a room key the entire length of my 4 night stay, by the end of it some of the staff seeemed frustrated that they had to keep letting me into my room. I emailed the manager about my experience and he didn't get back to me. Its been 15 business days and I've yet to receive my security deposit back. Overall, it doesnt make me want to do business with econo-lodge in the future.
- 2/5
There was dust clumps all over the floor and the room, we found blood stains on the comforter and parts of the bed and wall. The floor also turned black when stepping out of the shower from all the dirt in the floor. We will not be staying there again and almost could not complete it out of disgust.
- 4/5
I would stay there again
- 2/5
Tv did not work for the majority of the stay, unclean walls and towels
- 1/5
Vomit in the walk path en route to a disgusting unusable laundry room.People dropping fireworks at my door from the upper balcony.people hanging out in front of my room smoking pot and drinking and being so loud could not drown them out with the tv. Just here for my son's graduation at the naval base but instead I feel more like a prisoner I will never go to another econo Lodge again especially this one and I'm being robbed for $439 unbelievable, live and learn.
- 1/5
I use to love this place til I was unable to stay in my room or get my money back.
- 3/5
It was a bed and a shower, and that’s all I needed.
- 4/5
Property is older but is clean. Parking is minimal and tight. Room is in need of updating or remodeling. You can see many repairs that have been done over the years but everything works. If you just need a decent place to sleep for the night and nothing more this gets the job done.
- 4/5
Stay was great with my girlfriend, some people standing around that seemed a little sketchy but was far enough away from us and I didn’t feel threatened or anything like that though. Only con really was that there is a train that runs on the other side of the highway and it runs pretty late and early on the weekend we stayed and was very loud.
- 4/5
They have been making renovations to upgrade the site. Clean, comfortable, and as a female traveling alone, I felt safe enough.
- 4/5
It was good
- 4/5
Was a good stay for the few days I was in town , No complaints
- 5/5
I know the area where this hotel is located and I was not surprised at some of the clientele. However, not once did I feel uncomfortable. I was checked in late at night by a very friendly gentleman who made sure I had everything I needed. The room was clean and had minimal odor (as it was a smoking room). The rest of the staff was very friendly and checked to make sure I was doing ok.
- 1/5
Well for starters they have bedbugs, the next morning upon speaking to the closed minded manager who was unwilling to even acknowledge the possibility of such a thing, he tried to tell me his housekeeping staff looked and saw no signs of my claim and they're experts, which to be honest says they either moonlight as pest control or they've dealt with an outbreak of bedbugs before my stay, the latter of the two is what I'm willing to place my money on so I was brushed off with a "See no Hear no" approach even though I killed two leaving their bodies on a piece of notebook paper on the bedside table and have the bites to substantiate the claims. Being it was such a late hour when I woke to find that I wasn't alone in my bed as I confidently thought the previous night the fact that it was raining and I was on foot I accepted the night clerk's offer to switch rooms to one clear on the other side of the establishment though I didn't get much sleep after that merely squeezing my eyes shut only to have them then pop back open to check the time until morning and not because of their amazing breakfast spread-THEY HAVE NONE just biding my time until I could address my concerns and get myself situated with a ride to another hotel for the rest of my needs. Then there was the 5 or 6 times strangers had rented the same room and tried to gain entry while I was inside, twice the same desk clerk was working and twice the door actually opened thank God I wasn't indecent!! Not a good experience.
- 4/5
I wasn't too happy with the noise level, of a nearby train (going by every hour or so), traffic noise from the nearby Highway 52, and apparently an overnight truck parking area next door.
- 5/5
Great service, great room, parking 20 ft from room!
- 3/5
I was also not informed that I would have to put a $50 deposit down on the room since I booked through this website.
- 2/5
The staff was great! Friendly and the check-in and check-out process was easy and quick. The biggest problem we had was the cleanliness of our rooms... The bathroom was fine, the bed seemed okay, but the floors were awful. Our white socks were black after walking around for a moment and there were questionable sticky messes on the table and floor. As nice as the staff is, I wouldn't stay here again.
- 1/5
Worst Stay Ever! Saturday morning woke up by grinding work done on the steps at 7:50am. Vacation sleep in NO. Saturday night guest partying finally 3:30 am after being woke up 3 times called front desk and they said they would ask them to be quiet again. This is so unacceptable. Family moved to the area and we visit 5 times a year. A big loss will never stay there again even though it is closed to them
- 4/5
Beds were comfortable, benefited from microwave and fridge in the room, but floor was very dirty!
- 1/5
THE BATHROOM WAS NOT CLEAN AND WHEN THE FRONT DESK CLERK CAN TO CLEAN IT. HE DID NOT CLEAN IT AT ALL JUST PUSH THE HAIR FROM ONE SIDE TO THE OTHER SIDE.
- 5/5
Always an excellent stay at the Goose Creek Econolodge. Rooms are clean and staff is very attentive. I stay at the Econolodge frequently and am always treated well.
- 4/5
nice location, definitely would recommend to anyone needed a discounted spot to stay
- 4/5
I did not like the bugs and hair all over the room. The stuff in the bathroom on the floor that looked like the insulation from the ceiling.
- 1/5
When I arrived there was hair in the sink and on the counter, and the bathroom floor was dirty. The bed and towels appeared clean. The biggest problem was the noise from the train and the other hotel guests, that seemed to live there. Lots of smoking outside, drinking, and loud talking. The police also needed to come and deal with a dispute. The “continental breakfast” was bread to toast with jam, some bottled water, coffee, corn flakes, fruit loops, and apples. This is not a hotel I would recommend or use ever again.
- 5/5
Clean, quiet, and good customer service
- 3/5
I stayed here for a few nights. Overall the experience wasn’t bad. There were a few random critters about though :/
- 2/5
This place was disgusting. It was not worth 115.00 the room was dirty, the tv was broken, the sheets were disgusting and smelled like chemicals I got a rash.. the other guest fighting in the parking lot. Definitely do not stay here if you have any morals
- 5/5
Good to go!
- 3/5
you get what you pay for a dirty room, loud neighbors, and overall feels very unsafe
- 1/5
Basic no frills hotel in an OK area. Relatively clean. Biggest negative is the train right across the street blows its loud horn throughout the night.
- 5/5
Clean and quiet
- 3/5
Found filthy wash cloth draped in shower curtain, coffee pot still had grounds in it. Trains across the road were noisy as was the traffic on the road next to the room.
- 1/5
The website didn't say the pool wasn't open. So when I found that out at like 7pm I already couldn't get my money back....the assistant manager Michelle Sessions was terrible and couldn't help us at all. Asked for 2 towels on the second day, the towels never came so I had to dry up off with a wash cloth. The hair dryer didn't work. There's a train that travels at night by the room so kept waking me up.
- 2/5
Our entire room wrecked of cigarette smoke and came through the vents from the other rooms. It was so bad 3 out of the 4 of us in our room left with headaches and sore throats from the exposure. This was with the ac on in the room, when we attempted to turn it off or down, the smoke was significantly worst. There was mold in our bathroom on the ceiling and behind the door. It prevented the bathroom door from being able to close, this is in addition to the hole and missing portion of the bathroom door. The sheets and bedding had cigarette burns in them, smelled of smoke and were dirty and stained as well as our towels. If our family had the choice to stay somewhere else, we would have.
- 5/5
It was clean and it was a nice hotel. The guy who checked us in had a smart mouth attitude but other than that we enjoyed it.
- 4/5
Nice room for a night
- 2/5
The hotel is located beside a very active train track. Every hour it came by horn blaring. We cut our visit short and drove home due to lack of sleep 😩
- 3/5
Overall was not bad but Saturday people were at hotel drunk and yelling and fighting and arguing when we were trying to sleep
- 4/5
Easy to Trident Hospital
- 3/5
Parking spots so small cant even open the doors
- 5/5
Nice place to stay
- 2/5
very friendly staff
- 5/5
Clean property despite age
- 3/5
The bathroom was dirty and the towels were stained.
- 1/5
After looking at the rooms conditions we determine to not stay.
- 4/5
Nice place
- 5/5
Close to main roads and plenty of parking
- 1/5
The lady was nice however the rooms are DISGUSTING. My first room had dirty sheets, the floor was dirty & the room had a horrible smell. Before hand I asked if the rooms were properly cleaned & sanitized, she said yes. I asked for another room because the first one was dirty & the second room was waayyy worse!! The sheets had burn holes on BOTH beds in multiple areas. The floor was dirty & had a balls of hair in the corner. Don’t waste your time booking here. I was so disgusted I didn’t even take pictures, we just wanted to get far from that place ASAP!!
- 1/5
Hair in the bed, asked for non-smoking hot smoking with air freshener in top. Train going by all night blowing horn, tractor trailers starting up at 4am. Checked out after one night only To find out Hotels.com will not reimburse for early checkout. I will use social media to criticize Hotels.com more than Econlodge. I got what I paid for but Hotels.com rated it a 7. I will urge everyone not to use this site
- 3/5
Was a good place to stay.
- 1/5
If you are disturbed by irregular noises, do not stay at this motel. There is a train that passes at least once oer hour and sounds its horn rather loudly, waking us up.
- 4/5
We did not like it that the guests on the main floor stayed up until 2:30 a.m. and ran back and forth in front of our room and made noise. The second night it was until 1 a.m.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
No complaints about the stay. We were comfortable.
- 4/5
Nice place, small but it wasn't like we were spending a lot of time here. the only negative thig is the check out is at 11am but no one told us till 11:30, still not bad though.
- 1/5
because it was clean
- 3/5
Cars part in lot that were being work on,..loud music etc.

The room was decent but showed no proof of being sanitized. Also headboard was greasy.

Average property

Room was fair. Coffee pot had old coffee packet still in pot. Long enough that it was growing mold. Needless to say I didn't make myself any
