It was unclean. Pulled up to 5 cop cars with no warning for the desk clerk about them. People living there with items just thrown around outside. Towels in the bathroom were dirty. The lock on the door was almost falling off. When I was going to check out I had to get the attention of two employees that were yelling at eachother by the laundry after I stood there a good 10 mins to check out. Overall 3/10

The new lady (didn’t catch her name) was very pleasant and nice. Room did not get clean and when I needed fresh towels they told me to just put the old ones outside the door. I get back to the room after working all day to see my “clean” towels on the outside of the door in a plastic bag. My fridge was not working. Only one light and the bathroom light was working. Got a new room only for that one to have dirty sheets. Got another room that was way better but still had a smell coming from the air unit.

The staff were very friendly and the linens were clean on the beds. The bathroom area was clean. The two rooms had an adjoining door, which we had asked for. The rooms did not resemble those shown online and smelled of mildew (cat pee?) The door to the adjoining rooms was stuck shut with paint and had to be slammed open. The safety latches on the doors were a joke that were so loose there was no way they were stopping anything.

The motel was clean, the staff was nice and helpful, the location was really close to route 52 so that it was easy to get on route 52 heading to Moncks Corner. You miss most of the traffic that you get into if you stay closer to Charleston, SC. Breakfast offering was very good compared to most other motels I have stayed in recently.

Breakfast was AWFUL. They didn’t have juice and got annoyed if you asked about it. The woman over breakfast, Penelope I think, hovers over your every movement and kept telling me how to make a waffle and even gave unsolicited advice on how to pour milk (shut up lady, this hotel sucks and it’s too early to have you loud in my ear all morning). The bread and biscuits were gross and stale. They buy them from Walmart and I don’t think they bother rotating them or discarding what isn’t eaten each day. The photos in this listing are deceiving. It doesn’t actually look like the pictures. It’s not the same hotel.

The front desk workers were friendly but thats about all I can say good about this place. We reserved a nonsmoking double room, instantly when we walked in yoy could tell that was not the case. It smelled of smoke and the walls/ac were yellowed from it. It had not been cleaned properly, half of the area wasnt wiped down and the shower was gross. There was hair left from a previous person, I even showered in my flip flops so I wouldnt touch it with my bare feet. The house keeper didnt bother to knock to see if anyone was inside, instead she just opened the door with us inside. It served its purpose for a bed to sleep in but I would definitely never go back and wouldnt recommend it to anyone.

We will never stay at this Hotel again unless it is for 1 night and we are desperate. They did not have enough towels. Our floor was laminate hard wood which was so dirty, we went out and bought a Wet and Dry Swiffer so we could mop the floor daily. We stayed there a week and thought the price was over priced. The desk clerks were very nice and friendly. I have spent less money and gotten a room on the beach in FL. I'm sorry to be so negative but this was our home away from home for a week so we could visit Children and Grand children. We were very disappointed and will not be staying here again.

Everyone that I had the pleasure to converse with, was very pleasant, and courteous. It was good to come across personnel who greeted you with a smile and politeness. Our stay was good. Just wished this Quality Inn had an elevator, and wasn't built so close to the railroad tracks. The train came more often than had been participated all thru the night. Other than those two things, the stay was a good stay.

QI is not a motel preference for me, but it suited my family's needs. The night clerk was very professional and accommodating! I'd prefer to have indoor motel rooms because they feel safer; however, when your children play for a traveling baseball team a room for $100 or less is needed. Wish more options were available

Finally a continental breakfast with a few healthy choices, I.e., fruit and yogurt. Trying to get into the hotel was a little tricky, the DOT made it difficult, you had to make a very sharp, short u turn on a very busy street to get into the hotel parking lot. They had no side entrance from the street right next to them, which had a light, so it would have been a lot easier and safer. Otherwise a good stay.

The bad thing about this hotel is that it is right beside a railroad track and it is a very active track. There were 5 diffierent trains on the one night we stayed in the hotel. The train blairs its horn, moves very fast and is very loud. It started at 10pm and continued every few hours thru the night. The train is very loud! It is an older hotel, bed was comfy though and the air conditioning was great! So it would have been great if not for the train noise all night long!

I have stayed here before and since then they have done some changes. Our room had all new furniture, light fixtures the bathroom had been remodeled so new hardware and fixture the surround was all new. Everything looked as tho they were making it look classier. Same carpet but thought I heard they were going to be changing that. The breakfast was excellent and gave you a plenty of time to be able to make it there with out having to get up to early. ALL the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. I was very impressed even tho we don't have a need for it the pool has been equipped with a chair lift for people whom are in wheel chairs or that would not be able to use the pool without assistance. I have not seen a hotel with one before now. I will continue to tell people how impressed I was over this. We will definitely choose this hotel again over the others in the area! I do have to say the city has done some street lights near the entrance making it a little tricky to get in. Not the Hotels fault i do hope the city puts in a side entrance for them since they blocked the left hand turn in with a median. Thank you for such a pleasant 7 day stay.

However for an additional $25 including tax the next night we had a 50% nicer cleaner room, carpet with no spots, a white bedcover that was free of spots, better pillows and sheets that were not tissue thin and worn out. Also an updated bathroom. For me it was worth the extra $25.

I took a trip down to Charleston, SC to see my boyfriend who is in the navy. The hotel is really close to base and is surrounded by food. When I arrived, the hotel staff was very friendly. I really appreciated the woman who checked me out Monday morning. She was very nice and helpful! Overall, I enjoyed my three night stay there. The bed was comfortable and the pool was inviting, except I did not use it because I went to the beach. There was a train track near by, however it didn't bother me and never woke me up. The only complaint I have is that the tub didn't drain as fast as it should and the toilet made a ringing noise for a little while after flushing. Breakfast was good, but get there before 9 because after 9 there wasn't much left, not even forks. Otherwise, It was a nice stay there and I would stay there again.

The good thing is the bed was amazingly comfortable....the bad thing was the train ran almost hourly blaring its horn right next to the hotel ALL NIGHT LONG! Seriously. At least 7 or 8 times. I don't know if it'll help to ask to stay on the other side of the hotel but honestly it's not worth saving a little bit of money. There are other hotels within 10 minutes of this location. If you sleep like a log then go for it.

It was a little disconcerting to find out the hotel also served as a sheriff out post station. Also the hotels response to room theft (towels, bedding, iron etc) was a bit humorous. They posted a sign outlining the costs of the items "due to the popularity of our items." On a bad note our bathroom door wouldn't shut properly and the plumbing in the toilet and shower was incredibly slow draining.

The hotel reeked of cigarette smoke, but it was marketed as a non-smoking room. When we complained to the staff, the manager told us, "this is just what an old hotel smells like and [he didn't] know what we expected [him] to do". He also told us that he would refund our money, but that he knew that the city was booked do to a military graduation. We felt cheated, but trapped. Also, the people who continuously passed our door (which we entered from the "balcony") were very noisy and made us feel super uncomfortable. Lastly, he didn't not honor our military discount, but the daytime manager told us that the nighttime manager should have honored it.

There was only one working outlet without having to un-plug something else. Breakfast was good. Not a whole lot of variety , but fine. Coffee was ehh... Overall it was a good stay.

Very much enjoyed our stay here. The staff went far above making us comfortable, and giving us info on the sites and what to see. Hotel is a little older, but still in very good shape. Great prices compared to what we would have paid closer to Charleston. Eleanore, the front desk girl told us where to go to park, what was going on in Charleston as far as festivals, and all the sites to explore. Kudos to her!!!!

Felt unsafe - construction workers with trailer in side lot right in front of our door drinking beer untiil 1:00 am Big person would not be able to turnaround in bathroom . Fan in bathroom and ice machine did not work. Terrible smell in room like cheap motel. Way overpriced $100+ Told to run air on high instead of auto to drown out train (which we did know about).

While the staff was nice, the non-smoking room smelled of smoke, had a minor pest problem as far as spiders, the comforter on the bed had burns from dropped cigarettes, and a train passes the front of the hotel almost every night.

The hotel is in a great area as far as access to Charleston or Summerville. We found the rooms to be clean and comfortable. However, we booked a non-smoking room and even included this as a note to the hotel. When we walked into our room, we could smell cigarette smoke that had been masked by room spray. The staff was quite accommodating and was eager to find us another room. All rooms had a non-smoking sign by the doors, but a couple were sitting in their room smoking as we walked by. We would stay here again if we could truly be promised a non-smoking room.

This past weekend my boyfriend and I booked a room here for a weekend trip for his birthday. When we arrived we barely made the turn into the parking lot. Once we got to the room we had trouble opening the door to the point house keeping had to help us get in and even she had difficulties. Once she opened the door she asked if we would like her to spray the room. Needless to say we only stayed for 10 minutes and found another hotel!!

The hotel is right next to a train crossing, multiple trains passing through the night, the horns can be heard miles away, and you would litteraly have to cover your head with a pillow to survive the noise when they were passing by the hotel. We did not sleep at ALL in the two nights that we stayed there. The pool was filled with green water and the odor was outrageous, the rooms are old and dingy, the toilet seat was not properly bolted into the floor so we were swinging while using it, I can not think of one good thing to say about this hotel except that the staff was nice and even though we didn't want our room freshened up the second day(we simply didn't want anybody in there just judging by the looks of the "hotel"), they were nice enough to leave us clean towels wrapped in a bag and hung onto our door handle. This is one of the four hotels I booked for this trip and even was price wise was not the cheapest one it was definitely the worst one. The only reason we didn't book into another hotel was that there was absolutely no availability during the weekend in the Charlston area due to fashion week.

The staff was very nice especially the lady at check in. She didn't rush through my check in and made me feel very welcome. The housekeeping department did a wonderful job keeping everything nice and clean. I spent 7 days at this hotel. It was full the whole time, which says a lot about the place. I wanted to tour Charleston and some other areas so this was a perfect location for me without spending hundreds that it would've cost to stay downtown Charleston.
