Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the hotel's central location, cleanliness, and friendly staff. The breakfast is also frequently praised. However, several guests have complained about the additional parking fee and some minor issues with the rooms, such as thin walls, shower design, and bed comfort.

The hotel is in a great location- downtown in a nice area and away from the interstate although easy to get to. Several places to eat nearby although we didn’t get a chance to try any. Hotel grounds and hotel/room were very clean, quiet , and staff was very helpful and courteous. I would recommend it and plan to stay there again when in Grand Junction

We stayed June 5-9. Housekeeping is every other day, and although the housekeeping team was on our floor every morning, we never received any housekeeping, not even the garbage cans emptied. We asked for fresh towels on our own once midway through our stay. All employees are ver

Good breakfast and great central location.
- 5/5
walking distance to everything
- 5/5
There was some minor construction/upgrades being done while we were there. Despite that the staff was very friendly and the food was good. the only negative I saw, was a construction worker grabbing a piece of bacon with his hands towards the end of breakfast prior to the food being put away.

I stay at Hampton Inn and Suites frequently. At least 20x a year. In this case, the Grand Junction H.I.S. was not that great. It was okay, but compared to all the other versions I have been in around the country, this one needs some help. They are in the process of remodeling, but to what extent, I cannot say. What I can say is that the bathroom shower was moldy. It was uncomfortable to be in. The room was okay, but smelled odd. The bathroom had some signs of water damage. Would I want to go back to this particular hotel? Probably not. But... out of the 50+ H.I.S I have stayed at. This is the very first time I have experienced a less-than-spectacular room. So they get a lot of grace on this one.

Staff was very helpful both at check in and check out.
- 2.5/5
Great location to downtown Main Street, plenty of parking, staff was nice. Overpriced and the facility is rundown.
- 5/5
yes .. breakfast was delicious & parking?? AWESOME!!!
- 2.5/5
Not much To far off freeway entrance. TV didn’t work correctly kept freezing up on us. Mold in shower. Elevator are very small not accommodating. The USB ports didn’t work. Pretty sad for price you charge.
- 4.5/5
The staff was friendly, helpful. The room was clean, plenty of parking, great location. Everything was awesome!
- 0.5/5
I did not have breakfast and the location downtown was good I arrived at a construction site without knowing that this was happening at the time of the booking on booking.com website. The facility was outdated, dirty, not inviting and difficult to navigate. I had five cleaning carts parked in front of my room on the third floor for two consecutive days. My room was not done on the second day by 330 pm. The overall conditions and amenities of the facilities were not on par with other hotels in the area but the price was still outstanding. I was so upset that I decided to leave one day in advance while still paying for the full price of two night staying.
- 5/5
Breakfast was fresh and parking was safe.
- 4/5
Room was clean. Breakfast was good. Construction going on but it wasn't disruptive to the stay.
- 5/5
The room was very comfortable. It seems to have been refreshed since our last visit. The Heat/AC system was very quiet. The breakfast was fine; pretty good selection. Very convenient to downtown.
- 5/5
Currently undergoing a renovation, the hotel was still very nice, staff pleasant, and the location very good. Right on historic main so very walkable with shops and eateries. Beautiful streets with lots of trees. Room was clean and quiet with updated amenities. The only slightly wonky thing was the parking. You park on Main Street to register, then you drive around the block to Colorado Street to park behind the hotel in their lot. Also the building is very close along side another, larger hotel so when navigation says you are there, it’s a bit confusing. Though it seemed a bit pricey, I would still stay there again.
- 5/5
The room was clean and in decent condition. The location is great, All the Downtown restaurants and shops are within a few blocks. The private parking lot for the hotel was convenient, and well worth the $14.
- 5/5
Always pleased with Hampton. Have stayed here several times. Love the location. Easy walk down Msin street with all the shops, restaurants and entertainment.

Clean and friendly.
- 4.5/5
Unfortunately they are renovating so must use pool at hotel across the street.
- 4/5
I had no complaints until the workers started in the room above us that was being remodeled at 8am. They kept dropping things on the floor and walking very loudly. Was so hard to sleep.
- 4/5
Clean rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast.
- 5/5
Perfect location. Comfortable bed. And really nice staff! There was not anything I didn’t like
- 4/5
Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was wonderful!! Breakfast was a bit lacking, but did offer breakfast so not a huge issue.
- 5/5
Great location & breakfast.
- 5/5
Lots of options for a complete breakfast! Loved the comfortable bed. Staff were very pleasant and accommodating . Front desk attendant, Jules, helped us thru a booking problem and we are very grateful!

I didn’t like paying $14.00 to park my car.

Very confortable
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Breakfast area was stocked and kept clean.
- 4/5
It was acceptable. Julz was great. Only problem was my room smelled like smoke
- 1.5/5
We had to call the front desk 4x to ask that the people above us be quiet. No one did anything. We called at 11,12am, 1:30 am and 2:30 am It was reductions how loud the people were being so late.
- 0.5/5
Parking charge was not listed by booking
- 2/5
Room clean Outrageous pet fee, what a rip.off loud hallway nooses
- 5/5
Very comfortable beds, the shower had great hot water pressure and the breakfast served was flavorful.
- 5/5
The location is great! The room was clean, staff very friendly and breakfast was tasty. We will stay here again next time we are in town!
- 4/5
Room was nice and clean. Breakfast was great. Charging $15 for parking not great.
- 5/5
Comfortable bed! Clean room! Being charged $14.00 per day to park. The breakfast eggs were odd.
- 4.5/5
Staff at registration desk was great!
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean room, great location.
- 0.5/5
I tried to message the hotel several times about my reservation and they never responded.
- 3.5/5
Friendly staff and hot delicious breakfast. We got checked in kinda late and didn't want to go back out so it was nice that they had a small grocery area to choose something to eat and drink that night. We had to change our room. Booked a king room and the toilet rocked and sink didn't drain and the microwave was loud and seemed like it was gonna explode on us when we used it. They changed us into a different room which was not a king but 2 queen beds.
- 4.5/5
Good breakfast variety, coffee was good
- 4/5
Great location, comfortable bed and tasty breakfast.
- 5/5
Room was very clean and staff was so nice.
- 5/5
Clean, staff were friendly.
- 5/5
Easy to get to. Great Main Street location. Perfect size.
- 5/5
Everything was great about my stay. Especially Juls.
- 5/5
The room was clean and spacious.
- 3/5
The next day they moved us again and it was better.
- 4/5
The hotel was clean and I loved the fact that we were able to walk down Main Street with all of the beautiful Christmas lights. It truly had a small town vibe. The only thing that I could complain about was that one of our mornings we were trying to sleep in but the cleaning crew had their music playing loudly. The hotel also could get bigger towels for the bathroom. But that is trivial things. I would stay here again.
- 5/5
Sammesia was excellent at checking us in!!!!
- 5/5
I was really surprised I need to PAY FOR PARKING while staying at the HOTEL I paid to be in??
- 5/5
Very clean, well managed, and a nice overall stay
- 5/5
Best place to stay in Grand Junction. Very convenient to everything in GJ, except the airport.
- 5/5
yes
- 5/5
Easy check in, room was clean. Toilet ran a little slow so husband ran to Dollar Tree and fixed it with a bottle of ajax and a plunger.
- 5/5
Clean room. Helpful staff. Good amenities. Great location.
- 5/5
Room was clean, location was ideal, typical hotel breakfast . Have stayed here 3-4 times in the past, never been disappointed.
- 5/5
Perfect location if you’re riding Amtrak to Grand Junction.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 4/5
Clean but needs age touch-ups
- 4/5
Nice staff and clean linens
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff. Offers an Elkay filter water station on site. I prefer to drink filtered water.
- 2/5
Second floor hallway carpet had dirt track in middle like it needed to be cleaned or replaced. Shower had mold and mildew, bed springs squeaked, room was generally cool even with heat up. Mistakenly booked a handicap room and was told could not switch rooms because I had booked on Expedia. $20 per day plus tax for parking. This is grand junction Co not New York. Parking lot shared with another hotel. Had to sign up for Hilton honors to use “free” internet or there was a fee and was only free for 4 days. Will book a different hotel chain in the future. There are nicer properties at the same price point or less in grand junction
- 5/5
Great all around. Clean room, lovely staff, and the breakfast was actually good. Wonderful pillows. We slept so well. Very pleased.
- 5/5
We had a wonderful stay here. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were very clean and nicely stocked with necessities. View was beautiful of the fall tree colors. The breakfast bar is also great with a variety of different items. Their snack collection is the best I’ve seen yet! Very nice place to stay. I highly recommend staying here. I would stay here again. Thank you for your kind service.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect
- 5/5
Really nice place to stay in GJ. Super convenient.
- 4/5
But the front desk staff were excellent, answered all of my questions, they were welcoming and inviting, as well as our checkout staff this morning!!
- 5/5
Love being in downtown Grand Junction. The hotel was very nice.
- 3/5
I was there 4 nights and my room was serviced once. Lots of construction in the area which started very early and the housekeeping staff was very loud very early. It was just okay?
- 4/5
Great stay. Great location at end of Main Street. Plenty of shopping and dining on Main Street. Recommend staying. Stayed for two nights.
- 4/5
The staff was great and
- 4/5
Great location, very friendly staff, convenient and safe parking, the bed and pillows were comfortable. I think the bedding could be updated and the room was clean but the bathroom could’ve been cleaner!
- 4/5
The room was wonderful , and close to several great eating locations recommended by the staff. There is a parking fee that I think is a little crazy . The hotel itself is older , but they did update the rooms so I would stay there again for a great nights sleep !
- 5/5
Hotel is located in a beautiful walkable area with lots of shops, art, cafe’s and restaurants.
- 5/5
Very nice, clean and comfortable. Is in walking distance of restaurants and bars.
- 3/5
Not a good value for the price
- 5/5
Small but nice, clean room with comfortable beds. Nice bathroom and his breakfast options. Very friendly staff but one person working at the front desk so serving took a while.
- 3/5
Central location
- 5/5
Close to restaurants downtown
- 4/5
Great property, trying to find the entrance and parking in the garage was extremely difficult. I would have appreciated a heads up on where to park as it was not obvious and very confusing.
- 5/5
Very clean and quiet. Convenient to restaurants and shopping.
- 5/5
Good!
- 5/5
Super nice check-in lady even gave us a map for restaurants on Main Street!!
- 3/5
Elevator wasn’t working
- 5/5
It was great, there is construction that makes it hard to find.
- 4/5
Elevator was broken.
- 5/5
Thanks
- 5/5
Awesome stay as always but frustrated by parking fee...may have to find a new place to stay when in town.
- 4/5
The placement of the elevator is poor. It is in a narrow hallway and makes it challenging for those exiting and entering the elevator.
- 4/5
The hotel was hard to find, it was kind of hidden behind the trees. It was very walkable to shops and dining. I didn't like that we had to pay for parking.
- 3/5
The room was comfortable and we slept well the first night. Our room was on the side by the convention center and the second night there was a concert. It was very loud and woke me back up at 1 am. I would suggest staying on the opposite side of the hotel just in case.
- 4/5
Nice area downtown. Very walkable. Parking was in a gated lot behind the building. Difficult to get in and out of because of the road construction.
- 5/5
Great stay, except - the shower curtain was about 4 inches too short. A shower flooded the bathroom
- 1/5
There was extremely loud music, talking and car engine racing until after midnight.
- 5/5
Everything was great! Would stay there again.
- 4/5
Breakfast included and coffee always out. Walkable to plenty of food options. Shower didn't drain, overflowed edge. Hot tub is next door hotel. Pool gate would not open.
- 4/5
Clean
- 5/5
Loved it
- 5/5
Great location! Clean and family friendly.
- 5/5
It was very clean. Comfortable beds. Love the pillows.
- 5/5
Friendly and helpful staff! Bed was very comfortable! Rooms were clean. Breakfast was the worst part. Sausages weren't cooked all the way, oatmeal was overcooked, only had lite/fat free yogurt, need to have regular option too.
- 3/5
Was standard hotel. Nothing special.
- 5/5
Very clean and the staff was really friendly
- 5/5
Property was perfect for our stop over on Amtrak on the way to Moab the next day.
- 5/5
Nice enough. Rooms do need some updating!
- 2/5
Someone entered our room while we were out, no requests for housekeeping or maintenance. Manager didn't do anything only said no record from door lock of anyone entering, nothing ref second door from adjacent room
- 5/5
Loved being downtown and walking to restaurants
- 5/5
Great location. Enjoyed staying downtown.
- 3/5
The A/C didn’t work in the room. Complained a few times, the front desk argued with us, instead of doing anything about it.
- 5/5
The location was excellent. Lots to do and many choices. Easy to get around the area and the town.
- 2/5
I reserve a room that was advertised as sleep 5 thinking that everyone was sleeping in their on beds. I overpaid for a one king bedroom. Very disappointed. Last minute for the weeding we attending
- 3/5
Was expensive for what it is!
- 5/5
The staff were very accomodating when we arrived early for our one-night stay after an overnight trip in coach seats on Amtrak. The whole area is very walkable and filled with restaurants, stores and public art.
- 5/5
Staff nice. Check in easy.
- 5/5
Room was exceptionally clean, beds comfortable, good water pressure, friendly and helpful staff. Definitely recommend.
- 2/5
Didn't like the parking charge. This was never mentioned during the entire booking process. Will never stay here again.
- 5/5
Great friendly and helpful staff. Great location . Great breakfast selection.
- 1/5
We had large group of girls yelling in the hall at 11:30 pm. We called front desk and nobody answered. The noise continued for about 10 minutes and a person in another room and I had to tell the entire group to be quiet. Started up again at 4 AM. When I tried to talk to the lady at the front desk in the morning, she was extremely rude. Told me that she went up to try to take care of the Noyes problem and that there was nobody there. I reassured her that there was a group of 20 to 25 girls in the hallway, and she responded with well. The noise went away as soon as I showed up. The fact that she was so unprofessional and dismissive of us getting woken up by 20 to 25 young girls really pissed was inappropriate
- 5/5
Great location and a great place
- 4/5
The biggest disappointment was that we had reserved a king with a small sofa and it was not available. The desk staff said this was the third-party reservation's mistake. It really wouldn't have mattered except that this was a special trip for my wife and I and it was a two-day stay. They put us into a fine double queen room and provided us with parking. The only 3-star part of the experience was the hot breakfast. I don't think we are high maintenance, but this was really not too good. The location is amazing and the people were great.
- 5/5
Super clean bath!
- 5/5
Great clean place great staff
- 4/5
I’m not satisfied with the room. The blackout window curtains do not close all the way so there is light from the parking lot shining in ALL night. I’m glad brought an eye mask to sleep with, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to sleep due to the light.
- 5/5
Very good service
- 4/5
Staff was nice. Hot tub was a reason for staying and it wasn’t working.
- 5/5
Nice and clean hotel. Friendly staff. Will definitely stay again!
- 4/5
Clean & Comfortable
- 3/5
Other guests were very loud and noisy woke me up in the middle of the night and early in the morning
- 1/5
Sorry but cobwebs in room, stains, smell. Elevator dirty, carpets, etc. Very disappointing - other than very nice staff!
- 5/5
This Hampton inn has the nicest staff & great location.
- 5/5
Loved it!
- 5/5
Clean and convenient hotel option for downtown GJ.
- 4/5
Park on street to check in then drive around back to parking lot. Entrance from parking lot is not welcoming. The carpets and curtains look dated. Halls are painted a dark color. Seems gloomy with low lighting. Needs refresh of decor. Otherwise a fine stay.
- 5/5
Nice hotel. Friendly staff. Comfortable beds and good breakfast.
- 5/5
Nice location. Easy access to dining, shopping, area attractions. Was a disappointed that we only learned of the daily parking fee upon our check out.
- 5/5
We came to town on Amtrak and it was very easy to walk to and from our hotel to the stations. We enjoyed walking the area around the hotel and found many dining options nearby. The hotel breakfast included many items for a healthy breakfast. Our room was clean and well maintained. It was a good experience.
- 4/5
We picked Hampton because experience has said we can count on a pretty high level of quality. This experience was ... fine, but not what we expected. The hallways/elevator/etc were a little dingy; the pool was very small (and we had to go next door for the hottub); one doorway to the parking lot wasn't working; etc. Breakfast in the morning: The juice machine wasn't working, the "toast" container was out of bread; regular syrup was so low my son didn't even notice there was any and accidently took the no-sugar version, etc. People and staff were friendly and helpful, but the whole experience didn't feel like Hampton Inn.
- 3/5
The room was very small for four people. We went down to breakfast an hour after it opened and most of the food was already gone.
- 5/5
Everything
- 4/5
Front desk very helpful.
- 5/5
Older property but was well kept and clean.
- 4/5
Older property in downtown Grand Junction. People and service were great. Comfortable rooms but they could use some updating. You’re basically paying for the location.
- 5/5
It was a little dated but staff was very kind and helpful!
- 5/5
One elevator was a joke. Staying on top floor so had to use stairs a lot. Tough for a senior.
- 1/5
Thank you. Ricki Searcy
- 5/5
The property was perfect for the location to restaurants and the downtown.
- 5/5
The fact they let people use other nearby Hotels' pools/jacuzzi was what made this stay A M A Z I N G. The breakfast in the morning was really good too - eggs/bacon/yogurt/orange juice/milk/etc. Everything about this place was great. If I had any complaint, it'd be that the bathroom tub needs to be cleaned a bit more and cauked some to hide some stuff (I wouldn't have taken a sit down bath there) but otherwise bathroom was very clean.

Fancy Smancy, Clean, Comfortable, Convenient to Downtown. Great Breakfast.
- 4/5
The room was good....nothing WOW! Was disappointed we had to pay fo parking....which we did not know.
- 2/5
TV’s did not work in my room or in the dining area and in another guest room I spoke to. No ice on 1st floor charge $11 for parking
- 5/5
The checkin was flawless, desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. Good location, fair price, close to everything
- 5/5
Very accommodating and helpful staff. Very clean. Right on old Main Street and close to train station
- 4/5
The non smoking hotel sure had a lot of smoke smell coming from the vents during our stay.
- 5/5
Clean and friendly Great breakfast very walkable to shops and restaurants
- 5/5
Love the convenience to everything
- 4/5
The rooms were clean and well laid out. The beds were very clean and I appreciated there were pillows of different firmness. I also liked the full sized lotion, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in the bathroom.
- 5/5
Great location and check in was easy. The room was nicebtoo.
- 4/5
Close to train station- easy walk.
- 5/5
A very nice experience! The downtown area is beautiful
- 5/5
We were there for a bowling tournament, it is a quiet and clean environment!
- 3/5
Room smelled odd. Hvac might have been the issue.
- 5/5
Great location for downtown Grand Junction. Front desk check in was quick and the service was super friendly. Breakfast was yummy too!
- 5/5
very nice staff
- 5/5
It was a nice comfortable stay, great location
- 5/5
Clean, spacious, check-in was quick. Great downtown location easy walk to dining and shopping.
- 5/5
This property is right in the heart of town. Great parking and steps to anywhere. I'd stay here again.
- 5/5
Very nice property that is run well. Situated close to several breweries and restaurants.
- 1/5
Hotel could not find reservation. It took 45 min to get ahold of hotels.com to get checked in and hotel did not have a king size bed which is what I reserved. 45 min check in at 11 at night when your exhausted certainly ruins your night.
- 5/5
Very nice and clean hotel will stay again
- 4/5
Good
