Reviews
The hotel is praised for its cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff, and convenient downtown location. However, some guests have complained about the small room size, noise from neighboring rooms or outside, and additional parking fees.

The check-in was great helpful but the room size and amenities were horrible. Small gym and had to walk across the street to another hotel for the pool. Would not recommend for families. Also not for pets. They have a small dog area and charge an extra $50 to have a pet. I ended up being charged another $100 on top of the room charge for parking and our dog. Would not recommend

Never stayed at a TRU property before, but having been on the road for the past 10 days, we knew what we wanted (and didn't). The place was decorated very hip and looked like no other hotel lobby I've been in before. The front desk was surrounded by every travel and snack product imaginable. Of course, none of it was complementary. The place just felt weird and as far as we could tell, the location was in an old industrial park. When we got to our room, we about barfed from the smell. Apparently, they were having sewage problems, and moved us immediately to another room. What really disappointed us was the $15 charge for parking. Really? We had stayed in some very nice locations the past 10 days, and we weren't charged anything for the privilege of parking in their parking lots. C'mon man!

Great lady Patricia that was so super helpful! Close to Amtrak! Nice variety of drinks and snacks downstairs and nice breakfast! Coffee pot morning room.
- 5/5
Convenient hotel in downtown grand junction. Located near a ton of dessert, cafe, restaurant places, alongside shopping and other shops. Walkable location and good stop in western Colorado.
- 5/5
Great modern vibe and close to downtown, where there are plenty of restaurants, shops and cafes. Breakfast was good, and I especially love the automatic pancake maker!
- 5/5
Nothing, no complaints and no comments. Everything was great.

Room are "European" ie small but the property is new and well kept. This particular crew that was working when I checked in was courteous, professional and helpful.
- 4/5
It was a great hotel, except the rooms are very small, and one thing I didn't like was they charged $14. a day to park in their parking lot, I thought that was ridiculous. Other than that, it's a great very modern hotel.
- 5/5
all good
- 4/5
Great location to Main Street where a lot of restaurants and shops are. Clean, nice breakfast but one bad apple- Cory the front desk guy must have hated his job - not helpful, irritated I asked him to see if I could cancel my reservation for the last night- if you book through hotels.com you have to give a 5 days notice so I won’t be using hotels.com again. He wore his thoughts on his face and doesn’t need to work the front desk.
- 3/5
Nice hotel in general, and very friendly staff, but unfortunately the fridge on my room was not working great. It would run for some time, eventually the compressor overheated, and often I would need to unplug then replug the fridge to make it start up again. Sometimes it got too warm for my comfort and I had to throw out leftover food, which in effect wasted some of my money.
- 5/5
Nice sucure area and clean rooms
- 4/5
Location is awesome. Quiet rooms, kept the noise out. Did have a squeaky AC, that was quite annoying all night. Bedding a bit stale, but clean. Would still recommend!! Bed is on the firmer side.
- 5/5
the heating system was like having a jet engine waking you up every 45 minutes
- 5/5
Very satisfied, staff was great, rooms were clean except certain linens were unsettlingly dinghy, rooms were surprisingly (claustrophobic) small, the So-Co social house was wonderful, their staff was great, the breakfast was a disappointment
- 5/5
Staff were very friendly and extremely accommodating, loved the atmosphere and amenities Nothing!
- 5/5
Consistent with other Tru experiences. One of my favorites
- 4/5
(I WILL take umbrage about the charge for parking on-site though - really??! Just absorb it into the room rate and avoid people being prickly about it!!)

Very comfortable stay

The staff were great. The breakfast was ok. Our room (bathroom), however, had someone else's toenail clippings on the floor.
- 4.5/5
Close to downtown. Two blocks from the Rockslide brewery and about 5 to the Mesa Theater. The shower was weird. I think we got a ADA room as there was a chair in the shower and no threshold between the sink area and the shower. Water drained onto the sink floor. It really wasn’t an issue. Just strange. Staff was friendly and kind.

Paid also 300 dollars for the room which i guess is the going rate. There was no coffee maker in the room. There was one in the lobby but that can be inconvenient. Also, the beds sat on oversized frames which both my wife and i banged into several times. I know that is somewhat on me but when it's late and dark it was easy to forget. There were cushions on corners so I'm sure we weren't the only ones.
- 5/5
Nice and new. Near downtown and the train station. Good breakfast for a free hotel breakfast.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
The staff was especially courteous and helpful. I was welcomed at 10:30 PM. The desk person informed me of breakfast hours, gym location and map of downtown Grand Junction. She also took my instructions for late checkout, which were confirmed the next morning. I had a wonderful stay!

Tricia greeted us with the friendliest, welcoming smile, made sure we were completely checked in, explained the hotel fees and gave us directions to our room. She was amazing, with a welcoming, polite, professional demeanor. The hotel itself and parking lot were clean in appearance and the room was clean and smelled fresh. The water was hot! Our entire experience was excellent! I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to family and friends. I have no complaints. Our stay was excellent!

Breakfast was very nice. Simple and clean. I was impressed watching the front desk keep everything clean and tidy. No down time. They were always cleaning something.
- 4/5
Free laundry facilities, great location. Breakfast was good
- 5/5
Good stay all around
- 5/5
This newer downtown hotel is a good value for a nice but smaller room. Everything was in good order and seemed quiet with the exception of one dog barking a bit around 7AM. The breakfast is similar to most continental or free breakfasts but still a nice touch. It’s very walkable to downtown gems.
- 5/5
Great breakfast nice staff
- 5/5
Location was new and modern. Quick check in. Excellent room design & layout. Very good breakfast.
- 2/5
Getting to the hotel parking was very convoluted and not clear. I tried to go in a door in the “front” of the hotel but it was locked and no staff that was there turned around when I tried to open it. Yes it was clean, and very pretty looking, but there were no signs to say “hotel guests park here,” etc. I was greeted by a gal who was very unhappy to be there, I was pretty much disregarded with my frustration with the parking situation. The entryway to the hotel was very nice, everything was very clean. Hotel room was clean. There were bare minimum amenities in the room. No coffee, make up remover pads. There were loud clients upstairs above me, I thought about calling down to the front desk after about a few hours, but then it stopped, and then you can only assume what was happening. It was either that or 16 Great Danes playing upstairs. Breakfast was mediocre at best. For the price that I was paying for this hotel I was expecting a ton more service overall.
- 4/5
Breakfast was okay. Scrambled eggs with liquid in bottom of pan, limited milks available.
- 5/5
The breakfast menu was good and the eggs were actually pretty good.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean location, rents to dog owners
- 5/5
When we travel Hilton hotels are our go too.
- 4/5
Breakfast was not great but good
- 5/5
great stay! They have a secure place for bikes (which we needed for the night), so grateful for that amenity! Nice rooms, nice breakfast and great staff

Room was clean and modern. Staff was super helpful with dining suggestions in the area. Enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Perfect location. Walkable to restaurants and bars.
- 5/5
Everyone was very helpful. Location was perfect. We walked to every place W needed to go. Shopping downtown was nice.
- 3/5
$25 in hidden fees ($14 for parking?!) and no free wifi was a huge bummer. Staff was very nice but due to the dishonesty of the company will likely not be staying here again or recommending it to anyone else.
- 5/5
Clean room, right in downtown Grand Junction. Nice workout facility

Room was small but clean. The walls are pretty thin as you could hear everything passing by the room, very early.
- 5/5
We always enjoy Hilton Tru. It is airy, clean, uniquely furnished with games and ve try nice staff.
- 4/5
Good Breakfast selection. Friendly staff and good location.

- 5/5
Very clean and excellent location
- 5/5
Close to everything
- 3/5
Don't say pet friendly when you charge $50 for a dog, which then changed to $80 plus on our credit card statement. I paid thru Hotels.com which advertises everything is paid when you book through them.
- 4/5
Clean bathroom!
- 4/5
The room was clean, comfortable but small. Two things to be aware of is the train station is next door. YOU WILL HEAR THEM ALL NIGHT, and you will pay for parking
- 5/5
Very nice and downtown
- 5/5
Clean rooms, excellent showers with hot hot hot water and plenty of volume. Staff helpful and friendly. Hot breakfast food, and hydration station to fill you water mugs.
- 5/5
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and comfy. Great downtown location - walkable.
- 3/5
It seemed noisy in the night!
- 5/5
The room was clean, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was top notch and the breakfast staff were so friendly and helpful.

- 5/5

- 5/5
Clean and great location!
- 5/5
All was first class, clean, neet and organized. Breakfast was outstanding, lots of room and plenty of napkins too. The staff was friendly and helpful. A pool table was a surprise, but a good one. I will stay there anytime I am in Grand Junction.
- 4/5
Clean room great for the price
- 5/5
Friendly staff and clean environment.
- 4/5
I always check rooms immediately when we get inside. There was hair in the shower drain. I pointed it out and Patricia was very kind and handled the situation. She send a houseman to clean up the shower. When we checked out the next day I also received an apology. Front desk saved the day. The customer service absolutely made a difference in my impression of the hotel. Well done.

Clean room. Surprised there were no cups or coffee in the rooms.
- 4/5
Awesome location andcomfortable bed. Nice large bathroom.
- 5/5
quiet
- 5/5
The room was spotless, and the hospitality was amazing! It was truly a home away from home. My husband and I have deemed Tru by Hilton as our choice for future overnights in Grand Junction.
- 5/5
Hotel was great. Comfortable room and lobby space.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect will 100% book again
- 5/5
My wife and I had a great time
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly. Check-in was quick and easy. Room was clean.
- 5/5
My only complaint is paying $11 for parking. In Grand Junction. On Saturday. A bit of a money grub.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
It was a clean room with wifi, which were my requirements. There is also a weight room but no pool. I could hear the person in room above me stomping around, so bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper. The complimentary breakfast was good.
- 5/5
Spotless and modern rooms, great friendly staff.
- 5/5
Great room and proximity to walking old town is easy and convenient. Will stay again.
- 5/5
Nice, clean room, friendly guy at the desk, super fast check-in.
- 3/5
Was next to the ice machine and it was noisy all night. Also, they did not tell me there would be a fee for parking. Plenty of usb ports tho.
- 5/5
Really nice place. Clean and convenient. Friendly staff too.
- 5/5
Would stay ahain
- 5/5
Clean room. Friendly staff

- 4/5
They were out of eggs and sausage and it took them 10 minutes to refresh. Orange juice was watered down a lot.
- 5/5
All was great
- 5/5
Very nice staff, clean, breakfast included was was nice every morning.
- 2/5
Apparently the heater/cooler/fan in every room causes the floor to vibrate and is very loud which woke me up at 4;30 am
- 5/5
We always stay here. The staff is great.
- 5/5
Great location, helpful staff, nice rooms
- 5/5
New and great property. Staff was great and location puts you in walking distance to a great area!
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly helpful staff, and an incredible location. We barely moved our car. If we needed lunch or dinner we walked just a few city blocks for some amazing options. Highly recommend just walking around downtown from the hotel. It's easy and convenient. Lots of local shopping nearby too.
- 5/5
Clean hotel and rooms, friendly staff!
- 5/5
Clean and easy to access. Close to downtown. Safe.
- 4/5
Career of staff by Sophie in check-in. Lots of options for breakfast.
- 5/5
Quiet, great service, good breakfast choices, clean bed, clean room and clean property.. thank you for the stay 🙏
- 5/5
Staff was friendly
- 2/5
Minimum amenities at full service price. No tub, no coffee maker, no closet, no pool, no
- 5/5
Great service
- 5/5
Good value
- 5/5
Staff are amazing and super efficient
- 5/5
The lady that was working the front desk on Sunday when we were leaving was awesome. We definitely will stay again.
- 5/5
Pet fee is too expensive. Parking should be free. Stop raping guests while costs are already expensive as is!!
- 5/5
Staff, location, property, parking - all great. Issues: lobby found staff couldn't keep up with the mess (trash, crumbs and litter under benches along the wall) left by their younger clientele. I spilled a cup of water on the floor in the room and upon wiping it up with the bath mat found it came up filthy instead of simply damp. The bedding was strange almost like a materess pad was being used as a blanket. Nevertheless the room was essentially clean, comfortable and spacious. I would stay there again.
- 2/5
Breakfast was just a bunch of overly processed foods to be eaten on single use paper and plastics. The shades in our room didn’t work so that it only could be raised like a quarter of the way. When I talked to someone on the Hilton app, they told me that the best view was on one side of the building (even numbers) but it seemed by all accounts that they were on the other side. Lastly, upon checkout I was charged $11 for parking - I never used the hotels parking and when checking in I explicitly didn’t ask for the parking. This is something I’ve seen other people complain about (getting “scammed” into the parking fee), so it seems like it’s a real problem. To be fair, when I called them they immediately removed the charge, but why was it there in the first place?
- 4/5
Overall great.
- 5/5
Very good location. Nice hotel
- 3/5
The heating/cooling unit was noisy and hard to adjust. There was no in room coffee and no microwave. Breakfast was normal hotel food --powdered eggs, overly salty breakfast meat, oatmeal that tasted like mush. This so so place had resort prices.
- 5/5
A+++ I recommend this place
- 5/5
We lovedddd this place! Definitely one of the nicest hotels we have stayed at. Everything was great!
- 5/5
Would stay again.
- 4/5
Floor was a little dirty and hall needed a quick vacuum over it but it wasn’t terrible.
- 5/5
Great place to stay for a fun GJ Downtown night.
- 5/5
Very nice stay everytime
- 4/5
Quick stay. Pet friendly.
- 5/5
Clean, modern hotel! Excellent customer service; great location!
- 5/5
The hotel has great vibe and atmosphere. The room was cleaned and comfortable. Highly recommended!
- 5/5
Quiet hotel! Comfortable beds. I liked the upbeat Modern feel!
- 5/5
All good!
- 5/5
easy and efficient
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. We received coupons at check in for local businesses. It was within walking distance to shopping, food, and entertainment. We will definitely stay again in the future.
- 3/5
Muy mala en recesión porq avia una de tus trabajadoras que no me dejo entrar me dejo 2 horas esperando . Asta que llego otra persona y me atendió.
- 5/5
Breakfast was good!
- 5/5
It was nice
- 5/5
Excellent Stay!
- 5/5
Vey friendly front desk. Room was the right size for two adults. Walkable and had nice games to enjoy.
- 4/5
Everything was really nice & great. The staff was super friendly. Only dislikes were them not having any grass for the dogs to pee. There's a tiny turf area. Consider adding grass in places rather than rocks.
- 5/5
Friendly staff & well located. Very nice hotel, excellent breakfast.
- 5/5
Nice hotel
- 1/5
Based on the price of this hotel, this is a bit disappointing. Secondary, the breakfast was lack luster for sure.
- 5/5
Great hotel, loved that we could walk to so many places. Really appreciated that we were able to check in early on Friday!
- 5/5
This is a conveniently located property in downtown Grand Junction! Very clean and with really friendly staff!
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Stayed one night for a concert at the Avalon Theatre. Very convenient for walking to local restaurants & theatre. Close to everything downtown. Staff was beyond helpful and friendly. Room was very clean, beds super comfy, everything was great. Newer facility with snacks/drinks and pool table in lobby. Great stay, thank you! Would stay again for sure.
- 5/5
Very nice place. Very clean and fresh looking. Great breakfeast selection. Close to things to do
- 5/5
All good
- 2/5
The property was nice, modern, and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. Tricia at the front desk helped to fix a booking error and was very nice! The hotel is in a good location and there are several restaurants, bars, and shopping about a block away. The room was small, but adequate. The only negative item of note was the bed…it was very hard.
- 5/5
Nice hotel, nice staff. Boiled eggs poorly cooked, unable to peal. Pls put boiled eggs in ice water to cool them.
- 5/5
Amazing! So nice Trisha at the frint desk was super
- 4/5
Having to pay for parking in grand junction is ridiculous. We are not a downtown area
- 5/5
The best
- 5/5
Very nice.
- 4/5
Parking fee seems a bit excessive for a hotel of its size. No comforter on the bed. A few layers of very thin blankets are given. Very clean. Lots of storage. Bench seat plus rolling chair.
- 2/5
Although this property was marketed as pet friendly, it is not. There is one area designated made of artificial turf in a corner in front of a handicap parking space. Poor use of space and there is no other options in the surrounding area to accommodate a pet. Pet deposit and pay for parking was not clearly stated by the property. Checkout experience was poor to say the least.
- 3/5
Breakfast was late being put out
- 1/5
No coffee in the room is a no go for me.
- 5/5
Check-in was easy, the lobby had fruit, water and snacks. The room was clean and big. Parking easy and walkable to loads of places to eat on Main St.
- 4/5
Nice place to stay. Clean and friendly staff.
- 2/5
If rooms are only serviced every other day, then rates should be cheaper on those… That stuff started with covid and that’s long gone. Staff was super nice - but I’ll never stay at this place again. Also, just include the parking in the room rate… Kickin myself for not staying at the Marriott.
- 5/5
Staff were extremely pleasant and accommodating! They made our stay special! Thank you!
- 5/5
As a short person, the shower head was just out of my reach; I used my tooth brush to adjust the head. Otherwise, I loved everything else.
- 5/5
Everything was great!
- 5/5
It's close to the train station and the old center of town. Very convenient for our trip on Amtrak.
- 5/5
Tru is “THe” only hotel I stay at in Grand Junction..
- 3/5
I would have been bummed if I had to pay full price. I had credits with Expedia which made it tolerable.
- 4/5
Parking gates are a hassle. Otherwise, always pleased with this property
- 5/5
Everything but the breakfast was great. The pancake maker was not working properly and took so long to produce one pancake that I gave up.
- 5/5
Nice location. Very clean and quiet
- 5/5
The property was very nice. The price of the hotel is a bit high. It’s not bad. Everything was clean. The shower was very weak, but we enjoyed her stay there and we come back.
- 5/5
Check-in host was friendly!
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
We booked late & the Hilton app did not process our digital checkin fast enough. This allowed us to checkin in person and met the nicest young lady at the desk. Skip digital checkin, meet nice people!
- 3/5
It certainly wasn’t luxury and I didn’t know if food was available. It seemed there were like fast food things and salty chips and I don’t even know if I could’ve bought a Diet Coke.
- 5/5
Very comfortable
- 5/5
Everything was spot on and the afternoon/ evening front desk clerks were AWESOME
- 5/5
it a nice hotel located close to down town, very clean and quiet.
- 4/5
Was a good stay. Friendly staff. Found cob webs around the hotel
- 5/5
Excellent Hotel.
- 5/5
.
- 3/5
Tiny rooms. Couldn't even navigate the luggage cart and 2 people easily in the room
- 5/5
Close to good food places too!
- 5/5
Nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed at
- 5/5
Comfortable and convenient!!
- 3/5
Good
- 5/5
Truly enjoyed my stay!
- 3/5
The queen beds were not queens but fulls. So no one got a good nights sleep. The breakfast food provided wasn't that great. There are plenty of places within walking distance to eat and shop so that was nice. Parking was different. You need your key card to get out of the parking lot but only one of ours worked, so it became a hassle keeping track of it.
- 5/5
Everything was very pleasant. Staff was nice and welcoming. Hotel was clean and efficient. Very great experience overall
- 5/5
Great place and location for GJ. Rooms a bit small but nice common area
- 5/5
This hotel was very nice for grand junction. It was quiet, clean, staff was lovely and the convenience of being walking distance from mainstreet was a huge plus.
- 5/5
Staff onsite very helpful. Very clean room.
- 3/5
First let me say the staff was excellent. A true credit. The facility was clean, the breakfast average for that tier of hotel. However, the rooms are small. I mean small like you cannot even pass each other at the end of the bed small. Like a small motel room small. For the money we were disappointed. Wanted to just try out a new hotel in downtown Grand Junction from our regular stay. The price was almost identical. Wish we could move the staff over to our old hotel, which we will be moving back to on our next stay.
- 5/5
It was great!
- 5/5
Very enjoyable stay! All of the staff was great. Contemporary hotel with a fun lobby & nice commissary items. Highly recommend!
- 5/5
Lovely place to stay. The staff were helpful and friendly. I love the old Coors building that’s been transformed into SoCo. Must try!
- 4/5
Everything was wonderful. Would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Great place to stay. Friendly smiling staff. Clean rooms. Close to shopping and restaurants.
- 5/5
This priperty has great access to doentown Grand Junction, allowing for easy exploration without the use of ride sharing
- 5/5
We had a great stay.
- 5/5
Nice
- 5/5
Property is our favorite in GJ. Clean, modern, helpful friendly staff, good breakfast, and fun games in the lobby!
- 5/5
We always love Tru. They are clean, comfortable, and fun. The breakfast is always great.
- 4/5
Room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast each day was pretty nice, there were lots of options. Staff was always friendly and helpful. I was on the 5th floor so had a nice view. The only drawback was there is a train that goes by in the morning. I get up around 6 so it wasnt a problem for me as it came later, but some may find it an annoyance. The hotel itself was very quiet. Overall it was very nice, I would stay here again.
- 5/5
The rooms were comfortable
- 4/5
Very good
- 5/5
Charging station for my EV
- 4/5
Late check in but attendant was friendly. Parking you must have your room key to enter and exit at all times. Friendly staff overall. Clean room.

The building and staff are wonderful. The rooms are clean. There's a homeless shelter across the street which causes numerous unhoused people to gather around the Hilton. About 30-40 people on average at all hours of the day.

I love the Tru but its not safe anymore. there are a ton of homeless camped out all around the hotel. Definitely dont leave valuables in your car if you stay here. great service, breakfast, location though.
